Hey everybody welcome back to tessa's wig closet at flake studio, one today we're bringing this style off of my shelves back here and into the spotlight. This is jon renau's amelia and the color palm springs blonde. All of the details coming up. I purchased this style with my own funds. You can scroll down hit the help button where you'll be connected with the live chat. Amelia is a shoulder grazing straight bob cut with bangs. I think we've all seen palm springs blonde. I get that on my wings. Every time i get a chance um. So if i am buying them for myself, i'm going to order in my favorite color, i don't know that palm springs blonde was extended to amelia until recently, but i'm so glad that it is so. The palm springs blonde is a light to medium ash blonde base, and then there is a very heavy highlight of white running through it kind of looks platinum but they're, describing it as white and they're, describing it with a violent, a violet tint to it. But it just really tones it down and brings out the brightness of it. So what i really love about this color is the rooting it's a medium to dark ash blonde. True ash, dark ash, blonde root, there's no hint of warmth in that rooting at all. It'S exquisitely done. I really wish that all of the pale light ash blondes would have a similar rooting. So well done on this. This is a part of jon renau's, california, blondes collection introduced in 2017. I think it is so absolutely lovable. So, let's get right down to it! The hallmark of this style is the bang area, which is about four and a half inches, so that four and a half bang is the exact length that gets right in my eyes, um i'm either gon na have to trim it or pin it back to be Able to wear this style, because if it were a little longer, it would go out and around my eyes it was a little shorter. It would stay above my eyes, but at this length, they're getting right in the eyes, so i can trim it or i can use some styling to bring it away from the face now, when this spot, when this came in the box, it had very severe box Hair um there were kinks and things right there at the bang area, so i had to really wet those down. So it's actually been sitting back here on the mannequin heads for lots of weeks and i know you've all been asking about it. So i'm glad to be able to finally review it for you. I just had some other things that took priority priority here at the first of the year, but these bangs are actually pretty wispy um a nice light. Fine wispy touch to them looks like they've, been a little bit of a dirty cut there and we're all different. Our measurement from our hairline to our brow is all very different, so this may actually work out perfectly for you at that length. Bangs are something that um is an acquired thing for me. I know exactly what i want. I want a nice light, wispy, bang um. I want it to be about three and a half inches. So a lot of times. We got to do it ourselves if we have a narrow preference like that right. So the overall length of this style is right: around 12 12 to 13 inches. It'S got minimal layering here, but i love the bob. It'S a pretty modern bob. So it's not a big round bob um, it just graces the shoulders and then you've got these little flips at the ends. So it's not a round bob with a curl under effect. I think this gives a nice modern look and it looks like the ends here. Have been taken down as well, so it is it's a super modern chic, looking style, and i absolutely adore this cap. This cap is amazing. It'S very well constructed. It has a lot of nice features, so you're gon na find a nice front temple to temple and a single hand-tied monofilament top, and then it's open wefted sides and back it fits me very well. I had to cinch it in to accommodate a petite average circumference. So i would say it's perfectly average right out of the box and i have no way of measuring a large circumference, so i would have. I would just i would hate to say whether i think it could stretch to a large circumference or not. I do want to get up close on this lace front. These lace and monofilament features are just absolutely impeccable. This is one of jon renau's, smart lace, fronts temple to temple, lace, beautiful, fine, knotting there and then anywhere. You want to part it on the top. You'Ve got that monofilament, which gives you the illusion of scalp, very, very realistic. What you can see, though, is there's a bit of a contour. That'S coming out of those monofilament features um, so i think you can still get some volume um. I think this is genius. So without a lot of permatease, you can still get some volume and some lift, and you could actually enhance that too. My friend michelle did a whole tutorial on this wig. It'S posted on the um on the wig studio, one youtube channel where she took a combination of some products and some heat appliance and made some very attractive permanent, lift on the top. It brought out the wispy shaggy layering around the face. It was really adorable and actually she is what convinced me that i really needed to try this style because, as you all know, i'm not a huge bangs person. But lately i've been reviewing a lot of bangs um and i feel like i can now work with them with confidence um. So i'm really loving these fibers they're, like a fine, spun, silky fiber amelia, has a moderate amount of permatease, so you're going to find permatease. All around that monofilament top in the back, it's pretty uniform all the way through. I don't feel any spots that are thick and pillowy um, there's some here at the temple. It'S just so well done. I think this permatease is amazing. It provides some really nice coverage and hold for this style, the density on the style, it's just a nice average density, there's quite a bit of hair here, but on a minimally layered bob style. You can definitely expect that and with each of the font fibers being super fine, it just feels really light on the head. It only weighs like 3.6 ounces, so it is lightweight. Definitely here's the inside of the cap for jon renau's amelia, an absolutely stunning cap. So here you have an extended lace front nicely contoured. It does extend back into the ear tab. There'S a seam adjoining the smart lace front, with the single monofilament top completely hand, tied very realistic, very soft and pliable as well and you'll see that there are nice. Fine knots there on that lace front extremely realistic. You have a closed velvet ear. Tab. Nice sturdy stays an extended brushed velvet nape with velcro style, adjusters lots of wefting. Here i did have to cinch it in just a bit to accommodate a petite average circumference. So this style is out of the box. I have not worn it out or around. I just simply wetted the bangs a couple of times and i had to reform it on one of the mannequin heads you see behind me and it's been resting there for quite a few weeks. So that's all i have done so. Let'S take a look with glasses: amelia is wonderful, with glasses, there's a nice secure, fit between the ear and the ear tab with your glasses. So i think i'll just work with this style right in front of you, so you get a sense of how it moves and reacts to styling. Sometimes you can really see it come to life in this segment as well. Front Porch Wig Chat: I had an Emilia in 14/26s10. She is an underrated piece, IMO. You don't always get a nice lace front, plus mono top *and* a decent bang. The bang was just right on me with my slightly high forehead, but it's so easily trimmed, doesn't need much for most people. Lovely!

Sally Smack: I, too, love a 3 1/2" wispy bang that runs straight across the forehead, but that can be fixed. I wish this bob were straighter, but if it's heat friendly that can be fixed also. I wish this style were a few inches longer around the face, but ya can't have everything. If it comes in the color Sleet I will have to give it some consideration. Thanks for comprehensive review.

Love Alva's cut-in bang and the perfect length. I may take Emilia to my stylist and have her use it as a model to alter Emilia. Would love some longer side bangs as well. Wow, though!! kimmymz: I love this wig and it even comes in white, unrooted! If it came in a large cap, I'd buy it. But I had to return a Jon Renau average size wig recently because it would not begin to fit my large head (23"). I'm assuming that the "Mena" (one I returned) and this have identical cap construction and size. The only thing about this one is that it has bangs. With the Mena wig (no bangs), if I pulled it to my hairline, the back slid up. And if I pulled it down in back, the front slid back past my hairline. It just didn't want to be on my head - even with a wig cap on. My hairline to nape measurement is about 14.5". Perhaps they'll offer this in a large cap sometime. Nice review, Taz. Looks cute on you!

Lexicron: Taz, do you have any idea how many women count on your reviews for their honesty, their attention to details (like CAPS!!!)? I have no idea abt the stats, but I knew when I was searching for Emilia wigs today--a sale, of course--thata you'd deliver. Marvelously! This is the way I used to wear my biohair, as a grownup. Maybe an inch or two shorter? But I used to cut my hair myself (yes, really), following its natural bent. A super-professional then showed me what I was aiming for, as a dark brunette. It was Emilia! Always felt the need for bangs. Now that my biohair is a memory, I've been leaning towards PSB. Surprisingly, it seems to suit my current coloring as "naturally" as my youthful pasty complexion (ok, pale) met with what we'd now call something like deep chocolate cherry. The complexion faded, I guess, and I've been blonding these past few years. As have you! Is this a thing, I wonder--not related to graying hair (I buzz whatever's left) but complexions, as we age from one end of the spectrum to the next? Anyway, many thanks for your funny, helpful, candid review!
