100 Years of Blonde Hair | Allure

Camree Giles: I thought it was going to explain what type of blonde was popular during those times. Like honey blonde, blonde highlights, platinum blonde etc.

Jakob Hopfer: I love this, great job! I do feel like there were a few missed opportunities though. Princess Diana? Britney Spears? Brigitte Bardot? Sarah Michelle Geller? Christina Aguilera? Cher Horowitz? Regina George? I feel like a lot of the people included (Shakira and Chrissy Tiegen, for example) aren't iconic blondes.

Andrew MacLaine: I feel like this would have worked better without the "models" and just used pictures from each era. Each decade had a popular shade and bleaching method that would have been interesting to learn more about.

ruby thomas: I love blonde hair so much. It's such a unique and beautiful color that looks even more beautiful when paired with bright blue eyes.

Yousef Alkaabi: "2000-2010" Paris Hilton!!! She's the blonde Icon & Britney Spears too! Disappointed

Blankiss: In the 60's the french actress Brigitte Bardot was the most iconic and fashionable sex symbol with her long blonde hair

tastetheway youbleed: You forgot paris hilton, she was the iconic blonde of the entire decade

Valerie M: Can't believe you didn't put Brigitte Bardot in the 50s or 60s.

Forget My name: How dare you not include Britney Spears in this, she was a Pinnacle blonde in the early 2000s and Hannah Montana as a cultural blonde in the mid 2000s

Regi Sligh: Love Allure for this! Loving all the different shapes, sizes and colors your models were!

tallyylynn: @ 1:30 what a disgrace to marilyn monroe that wig, the model, the shoes, the everything is just . it seems like with these types of videos y’all rush through them & they turn out to look like trash!

Leto85: I always love these inspiring movies from you about fashion over the decades. Your models seem to have a lot of fun performing the roles they play.

Mia Cifersky: I can’t believe Courtney Love isn’t in the 90s part damn

Omar Rosales: The wigs are BAAAAAD, they're not even styled or glued. Where's Nene Leakes, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton?

gill426: Uuuuggghh my God, there is so much wrong with this. The wigs are terrible, the models are highly unprofessional, the hairstyles are mostly wrong, the clothes are an offense to the eye. Mary Pickford is rolling in her grave. What a disgrace to so many awesome people.

kay: That Elle Woods costume did her character dirty. Elle would never wear hot pink heels with a baby pink suit. You do one or the other smh

Tubbsmom: Guys its okay. You don't have to keep doing this. You can stop

xstarter410x: Daenerys Targaryen (a character from Game of Thrones) defiantly had a major influence on platinum blonde hair becoming so popular from 2011- to now

Food & Money: no matter what color i dye my hair, i always have the overwhelming urge to gather all bleach in the world and become a blonde once again

Ashley Seamour: The actress did Gwen Stefani DIRTY

audreybowieプラスチック愛: Do 100 Years of Teenager Beauty

anromeow: Where my not blonde people at? ✨

Junebug335: anyone think the models were cringe worthy? A few them just had some weird movements...

Katy809RD: wow I did not know that it was such a big deal to be blond back then! Maybe bc I was not raised here. I guess it is sort of how African Americans do so much to keep their hair straight. I know the struggle is real bc I have type 4 hair. Would love to see a video about 100 years of hair straightening.

Victoria Sharpe: 1920s and 1940s were my favourites. They looked so cute or maybe it was just the model wearing them haha

John Doe: WHERE IS PARIS HILTON? SHE SHAPED THE EARLY 2000's Its like you didn't even try...

Casey Tyree: My natural hair color is dark ash blonde and ever since I was a preteen I wanted to change it because barely anyone I knew had that color hair and I felt like an outcast. Here I am now at 18 years old and I finally went back to it because my hair is just as unique as my personality and that's the way it should be.

Vanessa Post: this 100 years of video was the worst, the models were not at all good and this did not look in any way professional

xhottestpink: Women of past decades had such persona and style. Love it

paige helm: This makes me wanna go blonde lol

Daniel Levinson: 0:56 & 0:04 - 0:10 I like THAT variant of blonde! I may not consider it a *beautiful* hair color per se, but it reasonably mimics naturally blond hair, and it has a vibrancy that compliments "warm" subvarieties of the skin tone we call porcelain.

Dani Williams: You should do one about red hair, I’m a natural red and people ask me if I dyed it or not, it used to be strong orange but then it kinda went to a strawberry blonde

sweatpantsprincess: Okay, I did not expect RuPaul! That was amazing!

Fifi Girardi: Being blonde isn’t just a shade of hair color, it’s a fashion statement.

Enma Mallqui: Hey sis, represent the gorgeous waves of black hair through 100 years next! If you did, then I'm thankful

Diana Diaz: I hate the model used to showcase Marylin Monroe. That model did not have the same figure or even some type of resemblance as of the real Monroe

Delson Galasinao: I was proud that once in my life I became a blonde.

Erin Gee: So y’all didn’t mention Paris Hilton or Britney Spears for the 2000s? How do y’all manage to miss the mark on this on every single video??

Hila Ginath: I love this kind of videos !!!

Guadalupe D.: I was expecting to see Britney Spears for 2000s

Mike Nava: 90’s should have included Pamela Anderson and Anna Nicole!!!! Get it right!!!

straw-Barry: I would like to see natural blondes this should be called 100 years of dyed blonde icons, but nice vid.

ruby thomas: Long platinum blonde hair is my favorite!

Flynn Spencer: I'm a natural blonde(freaking weird color of it too) and I can say that I haaaaated itblonde works on alot of people. It can look gorgeous on so many skin tones. But for me. Nah. I went red and now brown

Mia Cifersky: Also I love how this was posted on my birthday and I’m a proud bottle blonde hahha

Vishnupriya Bakthisaran: I love blonde hair, especially anyone who has natural blonde hair and not bleached. Whenever I see a natural blonde, I just have the urge to touch their hair. Their hair reminds me of my favorite doll in my childhood and her name was Rosie. She had curly blonde hair. Blonde people are lucky, my hair is pure black. I’m jealous of naturally blonde people, because I have to fight the urge to not touch their hair.

Game app Reviewer: 1970’s is the prettiest for sure.

4 FT 11 CHINESE SUPREMACY: Mary J Blige and Paris Hilton deserved a mention.

AleahKCH: The 1940s model was the best one...

Coolest Kid On The Block 35: 1920s is actually really nice!

Edith Giles: First of all, Ms. Tina Turner never wore ripped fishnets.......!!!

LoudestWhispers: I wish I was a blonde. It's hard out here for us dark-haired girls lol

Nicole S: Well I’m one of the 5% then of Americans who are naturally light blonde. Must be the Swedish in me

Diamond Dallas.💎: Blonde hair is gracious on women.

Johannah Lindsay: I’m a natural blonde that dyes my hair auburn red.

Hannah: Well I learned that there's only 5% of us that were born with blonde hair

NaDiNe Turner: I think the models did an a ok job, everyone needs to be nice, not just now but always. Good job everyone that put this together :) just keep trying put more effort

Apryl: The 1970s Farrah hair lady, honey, that spray tan is wack. Did anyone in production noticed her face color didn't match her body's color?

Laura Marvo: I was thinking to dye my hair pink, but after watching this vid, I'll keep my blonde

Teacup: 1940s you missed one of the most influential blondes, Veronica lake

Dug Pecci: I just love blonde hair. Only blondes will do thank you

Alexa Henderson: Who’s actually naturally blonde and never dyed their hair in there life ‍♀️ shout out to the naturals

maria felix moran benavides: 1910s and 1950s were The BEST !!!!! ❤️

Nina: I have natural blond hair. Who else?

ARTILL CO: I'm a proud long blonde hair man!!

Laura Schot: Blonde all the way

Madge's Fan: Queen Madonna and her ponytail

Ivy Quinn: It's Kathryn! Proud of you girl!

Emily H: Proud to be a natural blonde

1920's Flapper Girl: Mary Pickford my favorite !

ccyn042: It would have been interesting to see statistics on natural blondes and bottle blondes at the beginning and over time as well as at the end

Mackenzie Wachter: I wish to dye my hair blonde, but I still have my natural damn brown hair.

Catelyn Vans: DRAG QUEENS QUAKED AT THE RUPAUL PART!!

Danita E: I feel like Madonna was more of a blonde icon in the 90's. In the 2000's, she had darker hair. Better blonde representatives would have been Gwen Stefani, Eve, and Reese Witherspoon. For the 2000's, maybe Shakira, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, and Avril Lavigne. For the 2010's, Gaga and Nicki Minaj.

Kay Lee: So god damn awful. Delete and retry with better models. The Marilyn Monroe and Gwen Stefani models pissed me off.

liv olson: I will never stop watching “100 years of . . .” videos

Passport: A male version of this would be great :) but I guess we won’t get it because it’s mostly women that get judged over hair color

michelle: I have just natural (kinda wavy) blonde hair. You can say its gold

Milou van H: Oof, the 1970's Farrah Fawcett model is beautiful, but whoever chose her foundation needs to get their eyes checked.

RavenSuperstition: i'm sorry but that one model who cannot even move needs to go. that was so cringeworthy.

xUnicornFartz: I loved Nancy Allen's hair in the 70s

immaculate86: Madonna's blonde ambition and Linda evangelista's blonde are impressive.

Lordus Doggos: Barber: what cut do you want? Me: Ayy give me one of those 1910's babe look

AzerethRoth: I’m wondering, and please if anyone knows, Did they have toners or toning shampoos back then?? I’m really curious how Starlets got Icy blonde hair back then! Thanks :)

gracie rhea: What about for 90s, riot grrrl blonde hair? That was iconic.

Wesley Rosa: In the 70s I was expecting Agnetha Fältskog.

Melissa Cooper: I would've liked to see one of the models resemble Thelma Todd in the 30's segment.

Gorilla memes: Where my NATURAL blondes at❤️

Gaby Nicole018: Can you do 100 years worth of brown hair?

Kristen Constant: I am the 5% of Americans with naturally blonde hair ‍♀️

Dominika Winter: Great video❤❤

Random user: The girl who played Madonna looked like Paris Hilton

Miranda Milner: This is random, but the antique store near my house has a signed photo from Mary Pickford.

Holy Experience: All natural hair colors are beautiful, but I for a bit there wish I can easily find a auburn wig that did not have a violet tint to it when outside. But the Good Lord is helping me to rock my natural colors and love it.

Mommy Of One: The 70s tho

Deana Vettenburg: The drag queen is so beautiful.

Hhhhgftr2464 Vvvvjjh: Allure has every haircolor included with their 100 years except brown

It’s Sophia SSSianfrini: Blondes are so pretty ✨

Ava Jones: What was with the Gwen Stefani woman’s dancing?

Sherwood Mclamb: I like these types of videos.
