Hello, hello: this is taz, welcome back to taz's way, closet at wig studio one. Today i have a special presentation of a brand new style by ellen villa this style gives you a certain a claw coming up. This wig style was sent to me by wig studio. One for this review today, if you expand the description box below this video you'll, find a link directly to this product. You can explore pricing, uh, colors and more details. If you have any questions for wig studio, one, you can always email support, wigstudio1.com or from any product page on the website. If you scroll down and hit the help, button, you'll be connected with a live chat. This new style, released by ellen villa, is a part of their hair society. Part of me, collection and those styles represent very high quality, worksmanship, very realistic styles and so forth. We'Re going to go through all of that today. This is the style named a claw ec lat in the color pearl blonde rooted. So let's discuss this pearl blonde rooted. I don't have any color codes to show you, but i can tell you that, based on my experience, this is this pearl blonde rooted is different from any other presentation of this color that i have seen on ellen villa styles. I don't know if it's just in the the uh hair society, part of me collection, if it's just on this piece, but i got ta tell you. It looks almost identical to that. Raquel welch shaded, biscuit that i love so much right down to the details. So what we have is a mixture of some honey blondes, some ash darker ash blondes. Then you've got some pearl platinum, highlighting that really brightens it up. They take the highlight right up to the root, the color distribution of highlights and so forth, again, very, very dimensional. So this is neutral to cool in tone. Overall, you see a lot of dimension and depth on this color. Don'T you think that it really resembles that shaded biscuit also right down to that medium brown root? So, let's discuss a claw. A claw is a french word that translates to sparkle, so you might have a certain sparkle about you when you're wearing this wig. I know i feel that way wearing this style. It just makes you feel really pretty it's a mid-length tousled wavy style, and it has some absolutely realistic and beautiful cap features to it. So in the front you're going to see a four and a half inch bang area. So let me just tell you that i brought this right out of the box. I inspected it. I removed the tags, made my adjustments and then i tried just to find a parting space and if you're really keen in the eye, you might notice that today i have my part a little right of center instead of a little left of center. And that is because, when i tried to part it a little left of center, the curl just wanted to go the other way and sometimes to find the best and most flattering look. You need to be able to be flexible in your parting options, so the right of center part for me actually gave me a little more flattering. Look around the face this time than the left. Sometimes, with curly styles, you can see a lot of variants from style to style and a lot of times you've got to make friends with your curls by going with the grain of the curl. If you try to make it something that it's not you'll be very frustrated, because that is an exercise in futility sometimes now i want to point out immediately right away that this is a heat friendly fiber. It feels very, very soft velvety. It feels very much like the raquel welch heat friendly fiber does, and so just have that in mind that you can always take some heat styling tools to tweak this and customize it a little bit to your preference. You could add curl you could loosen curl with heat. I always prefer to use the heat from my hands on all of my wig styles. I didn't really have to do anything at all, but find a parting space that was acceptable to me for this review, which again was a little bit right of center, so that little bit of a contour was there, because what you're actually looking at is the back Side of a curl that i had flipped from one side to the other and i'll be looking at some other options for parting in the styling segment. A little later on in the video. So overall, a claw is about 12 to 13 inches. Now the really exciting part about this, i think, is the cap. If you really are a fan of those handmade caps that bring you extreme, that extremely luxurious feel and comfort level and realism, you're going to love you're really going to love this. So let's talk about this: let's first get up close on the lace front, so it is an extended lace front. It does go back into the ear tab and it is absolutely exquisite on this piece all the seams are obscured. The knotting is very, very fine on this. It blends seamlessly with my skin tone it hugs the head nicely and then that lace front does head back into a fully hand, tied single monofilament top, and i have to say that they did not over thread that monofilament. On top the any parting space that you select is going to be perfect, you can definitely see through to that monofilament from any angle on the top for a nice, realistic, scalp appearance, so the style weighs just under 4 ounces at 3.75. It feels very lightweight on the head and i'm going to discuss catfit with you here in a little while in terms of permatease you're, going to find a little permatease. Even though this is a hand-tied cap, we do have some strategic permatease. Most of it is going to be right there at the nape um, so you're going to find a little there. There will be some all around that monofilament part. Now. This hand-tied cap does have some integrated wefting and some areas where you can actually attach a little bit of permatease here and there. I don't think it detracts at all from the realistic look of this style. You can gain a little bit of volume, so i i appreciate the way this was done. I think it is super well done and really holds up the style. So this curl pattern is just sort of a lazy tousled curl like it started out as more of a bigger barrel curl and it was deconstructed along the way, leaving it with a soft tousled look. The movement is beautiful and in the product photos they really show. You a nice, a separated, look, you know more of an air dried beach type wave. I think you could probably achieve that with just a simple squirt of water and a scrunch, but first i'm gon na clear the elephant from the room right away. A lot of you are saying: gosh taz, are you sure that's not raquel welch's editor's pick in my favorite shaded biscuit um you've seen that wig on me quite a bit. So no wonder this looks completely familiar, i'm going to be working on a comparison, but i can tell you that they're nearly indistinguishable from one another based on the pieces that i have okay, so we're going to clear another elephant in the room um. These elephants, that are in the room - i just can't stand it. I have to address it right, um. I don't talk about price of wigs. Very often in my wig reviews. Pricing is a very subjective matter in a lot of cases, so the prices are always set by the manufacturer, not the online retailer. The online retailer can adapt a standard industry discount, but all of that is approved through the manufacturer so on this ellen villas a claw. This price, as of the deed of this filming, is around 616 like oh right now. Ellen villa is one of the brands that do allow the standard industry discount of 30 all the time, so you'll always get at least 30 off of this style at wig studio. One it's an automatic discount, you don't have to do anything but add it to your cart, but it is pricey. Now, that's not based on my opinion, in my ability to afford a style because we all have different budgets and things like that, but just based on peer pricing. I like to look at this style next to its peers. So if you take like a raquel, welch's uh editor's pick elite um. I think the price tag as of the date of this filming is around 466 dollars and it's almost identical in structure and quality and craftsmanship to this one now raquel welch is one of those brands. They don't allow a an all-day everyday industry discount uh each online retailer gets a certain amount of days that they can run sales on those items. So gosh you can still capture a 20 to 30 percent discount on a raquel welch editor's pick elite um and pay a lot less for it. Now i don't like pitting brands against each other, but i also really like to give my opinion on the uh, the comparable quality and things. The other thing that is sort of an elephant in the room here is the fact that there are only, i think, there's only seven colors available on the a claw by ellen villa, and there are no red options. There are three or four brunettes and two to three blondes, that's it! So if you are, if you're really excited about this style and you go out and look and it doesn't have a suitable red or uh blonde for you, then that's another reason you might want to turn to some of the similar styles on the market. So again, i think competition is really good for this industry and for the consumer. I think competition actually um creates a lot of buzz in the wig community about the new styles coming out. They um they kind of compete against one another for the new styles and the ones are going to be really popular among wig wearers and we're all excited about that. But i also think that's uh pricing um is another reason why we can how we can win in a competitive marketplace, but i think what's happening out there. Now, especially now we are june 2021 - is that all cost of goods are going up. Uh labor is going up, uh just cost of goods in general. That'S a combination of you know some artifacts from the covid pandemic that uh it affected the labor markets. Even you know. That was a global thing, so even overseas, where most of these are made um. We also have a bit of cost of of living increase here in the united states, with inflation and so forth. So, economically, we've got supply chain issues, so i know this has been a problem across the wig industry. The wig industry did not luck out on this one, so you will see probably price increases across the board on most wig styles. I know that's disappointing and we all know that just from experience that sometimes when wig prices or any prices of anything go up, they never ever come down. Even if the economy changed in a way that would yield lower cost of of goods. I don't think we're going to see prices come down, so i think budgeting for certain pieces is going to be really important and also really tuning to those wig reviews they're going to help you make better buying decisions. So here's a look at the inside of the cap. There'S that wonderful lace front. It does extend back into the ear tab here. It'S nicely contoured. The knotting is super fine, there's a seam that leads back into that single monofilament top. That is beautifully threaded there for a nice natural look, all of the seams are wrapped. In velvet we have a nice velvet ear tab with sturdy stays. Lots of fiber spliced in all the seams are obscured. There'S an extended felted nape here with velcro style adjusters. Now you'll notice i had to cinch those in and crisscross them to get a proper fit on this style. I believe this is probably average right out of the box. It'S probably a little more suitable, though, for average to average large than a petite, and then here's your hand-tied panels. Some cluster knots there, some darts and seaming you've got some integrated wefting all the way around the support wefting there and then you'll find some permatease there at the wefting as well beautifully constructed cap by ellen villa. So, as i explained, this is right out of the box, i just selected a parting space a little differently than i normally do other than that no product, and i didn't do any brushing or styling of this wig. Let'S try with glasses, especially sunglasses, because you're going to want to show this off, it's just the right length for summer, but they do fit beautifully between the ear and the ear tab on this style. So i don't think you'll have any problem as a full-time glasses. Wear with this style so do. Thank you so much for joining me today for a special look at ellen bella's, a claw and purl unrooted be sure to check it out at wig studio. One we'll see you next time on taz's wig closet at wig studio one. You

Ronda: Really thorough review, Taz. There's absolutely nothing negative or derogatory about openly addressing genuine issues with tact and objectivity. Great info today, handled professionally, as always. Looking fab in your summery outfit. So jealous.. I'm freezing over here! lol Hope you're well xox

Mysta Chambers: Hi Taz, I'm in love with new style by EW but too bad on the limited colors and the cap size. You look amazing in her. Have a great weekend. XOXO ❤

Karyn Jones: Hi Taz, super helpful video and comparison comments! Thanks for the in depth analysis! Would you please let us know what wig is E? Thanks for all you do to help the community out!

bettina gerl: thanks for such an honest review. I thank you for always including a great description of fit. It is so depressing that wigs are getting bigger and bigger.

Linda Carol: Great video, and so gorgeous! I love how transparent you are, your honesty and willingness to address what you know your viewers are thinking is what makes you one of, if not THE, best wig mentor out there. Its awesome you do the comparisons, especially similar colors from different brands. Hoping to see what other brand colors are comparable to Belle Tress's Mocha with Cream. I LOVE the color, its my current go-to, but also hoping to branch out to some other brand styles while keeping the color more consistent because I am not yet where I admit its a wig, especially at work.

Lynda Ryan: This is such a beautiful style and I’m in love with the color! Thank you Taz for taking time to do your videos! You are so amazing!

Love is Blonde: She's a beauty! Nice to see this style modeled, but that's as far as I will ever go with Eclat! Good grief, charging that much for a wig that is not human hair seems almost unethical. One also needs to factor in that the fibers being HD will not last as long as regular synthetic. Oh, well. She is pretty.

The Faux Blond: Such an absolutely beautiful colour! Love the style too

Gloria Lagroon: She's a cute one! Wish she was budget friendly. ☺ Thank you for the detailed review. Appreciate that very much Taz! Sending love and Hugs! ❤

romantic horror: The lace front really is beautiful on this one. Can't even tell it's a wig. Holy cow on the price. Lol Looks good on you Taz.

Ibelieveinangels yesido: It's pretty, Taz, & while you often get what you pay for, my heart goes out to people who *have to* wear wigs. Blessings! Jackie in upstate NY

Christina Knapp: Yay! Another style in my favorite color, Pearl blonde rooted! Looks gorgeous on you Taz!

Connie Feltman: Well … I am a proud owner of this beautiful wig! Love it! And … ladies … that $616 … dropped to … 450.00! Did not expect that! I love a cheaper price … but if you really love some and it possible to get it … I do. Thank you TAZ! ⭐️❤️❣️

brooks269: I love the lace front because it has more of the darker hair mixed in. Great review, and I do think Ellen Wille is frequently more expensive than similar styles by other manufacturers. She just has one color I can’t seem to find a match for by other companies. Thanks for your review!

Front Porch Wig Chat: "Make friends with your curls", yep, you sure have to do that! Good way to put it. I originally missed that this was heat friendly. It is a lovely style and the color surely does look like Shaded Biscuit. As far as price, I simply cannot afford this one, to be honest, much as I like the look of it. Anyone who can afford it will be happy to have one of these, I am sure. Retailers have to price it as the manufacturer sets it of course. I have always felt that EW priced its units higher than other comparable styles in other brands. JMHO. Sadly, though cost of goods is going up, income is not. It *is* one of the most attractive styles I have seen from EW in quite some time, I must say, but then, I love EP though I have not had one yet. The color choices are a bit skimpy, as you say. I wish EW would concentrate on adding colors, not new styles! Thanks for the review. It's gorgeous on you, of course. ~Cynthia

karen black: Beautiful hair! And that lavender too looks stunning on you!

Terri Simonsson: I'm so happy that you addressed the elephant & you did it with so much class & discretion I think it's a copyright issue myself but like you, I think competition is good otherwise

Sandra G. McAlister: Really pretty wig and thanks so much for comparing price points for this wig and RW Editors Pick Elite. Love the curl pattern on both, this is my "Goldilocks" curl pattern for me, not too little, not too much, just right. Lol. Beautiful wig and she's gorgeous on you Taz. Have a great day and rest of your weekend.

Margaret Tassey: Really appreciate the information you give on these pieces. Especially how they fit you.

Nola Sidders: Well, I know which wig I would choose! Thanks for this wig review Taz!

Ziggy3339: Well, this wig just looks outstanding ! I’m in love.

Twyla 2: Taz - you are spot on about the curly styles. You have to let the curl lead the way. I can tell you really like this one!

Michelle Diekman: I Love this Wig, but I agree there are lots of Similar Wigs. I so enjoy your Styling Segment. And I did notice your parting Difference. Appreciate you Discussing the Elephants in the Room! You are So Thorough. God Bless you Beautiful Lady, Hugs by the Bushel

Patinkular: Its absolutely RW’s Editors Pick Elite, but more expensive!

Deborah Luongo: I love thus wig Taz..awesome review...keep those outside shots coming

Suzanne Dawson: Gosh! It just doesn’t seem right for them to push the prices up so much when so many people have been out of work and have accumulated a lot of debt because of it. I can tell you without a doubt, it will be a long time before I’ll ever be willing or even able to spend over $400 for a wig!! Especially something that has only a 6 month shelf life at best.

robin fineman: Taz, Thank you so very much. I love it. I've been trying copies of the ones I liked from Amazon. I never liked the feel of them. The cap is painful. I put this on and I see how soft and comfortable this is. You look better in it but I haven't see you not look great in anything! Robin

AJ Row: Hi, Taz, playing a little catch up on your videos! I’ve never tried Ellen Wille. Very pretty and definitely looks like RW’s shaded B! I really love the color and style! ❤️

Sharon Steele: You look dazzling in Eclat! The price is a turn off for me. Even with the discount I’d choose Editor’s Pick . When I lived in Geneva! Switzerland I used to drive by a salon called Eclat des Nations or something, I never did know what Eclat meant lol. Enjoy your weekend

RUBYSSHOES: It's beautiful. But women on a budget deserve natural looking wigs too. We shouldn't have to look at these pieces longingly knowing we can never afford it. Companies need to realize this.

The Indecisive Wig Wearer: Very pretty. Could the fibers being HD make the difference in the color? Thank you for hitting all the “elephants”, the lack of color variety with Ellen Wille is a real issue. I own several EW styles (more than any other) but I’m moving back towards other brands because I’m transitioning from medium brunette and she doesn’t have great in between colors. Idk what she’s doing on her sizing either. I’m afraid the price on this one has knocked it way out of my ball park. LOL But it’s gorgeous.

blue car joy Haven: You got a home run with this one.im checking it out .thanks Taz

Edina Cole: Thank you so much for your honesty ❤️

Kim Myers: In addition to this not being available in reds, it's not available in silvers/greys. EW fits me wonderfully but the lack of color choices is an issue. I've also noticed that of the few silvers/greys offered by EW, it is nearly always in a very short style, which leaves out a large segment of ladies who want medium or longer length wigs.

Jean Jacobs: Greetings Taz! She looks very glamorous on you. Wow! Totally out of my price range, however. Love and blessings ❤

Lee Ann Lowery: So glad you linked this video for me. Agree with you this is a unique application of pearl blonde rooted. The one a purchased was not nearly as bright and light as your Eclat. I appreciate your honest and balanced discussion on the elephants in the room. Very informative and helpful!

Jennifer Steele: LOVE LOVE LOVE her!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Great video as usual my friend!!!! Your revues are so helpful and informative because you spend a lot of time doing your homework on every piece beforehand. Some people may not realize how much tie you invest in doing the reviews and all the time and work that goes into editing every review before you ever post it. You do it because you truly want to be a help to people for no other reason than because you are so authentic and your love for people and sincere desire to help people. Love you my sweet beautiful friend!!!!!

Ed Cox: (Lynda here) this is beautiful!! Everything has gone up in price, so I will start saving!!

geanne payne: Cute!

Virgo Yogini: Thank you for your thoroughness. I was astounded at the price point (high, to me) on Ellen Wille, in general. I can't afford to buy any of these wigs, I love learning about them. What wig is C in the background?

Patty Carosi: Wow! This looks exactly like RW Editor's pick for sure. I think with this price point this will not good for some. Yes everything had gone up. I love RW Editor's pick I have 2 now. I want so many wig's right now. I just ordered 2 yesterday Bell tress I believe they will ship by end if the month as I did the chat with them. I can't wait. Beautiful Taz as always great review. Have a fun weekend.

Laurelishish6 COSI FanTUTTI: It's soooo cute but waaaay too expensive for my budget. I'd want this in the Bernstein Mix.

AlwaysABeautifulLady: Beautiful wig and great video…the purple is stunning on you ..I know you said you got it at a sale but could you share what brand it is? Love love it.

Patinkular: Ooh. I love this one. Thank U TAZ

Juli Moody: Thank you for clearing all these elephants in the room I agree with you

Carol B: Hi Taz! What a beautiful wig! Looks so natural on you. My head is small like yours. I can't feel confident if the wig is big on me. I will pay the price, if it fits well and I can be confident. I don't know why all brands can't ALWAYS offer petite and average. Many designer clothing lines do !! They need to listen to the ones who wear them. Butter their bread. Thank you for your honesty. It's always appreciated. So, if I wanted the best fit. Editors pick or this one, is there any difference at all? Money aside. Which would you invest in? Does EW heat friendly last longer than RW heat fiber? Thank you!!

Connie Feltman: Your right about prices going up … and … never going down! They never do!

Julie: Dear Taz, I’ve put off asking this question for fear of sounding stupid but, I just can’t wait any longer….. what little hair I have is being painfully ripped out every time I wear a wig! I use wig tape to secure my wigs because that’s what I’ve had the most secure success with, and I CANNOT afford to go lax on security since I live in an often windy and hot/humid climate, plus I’m terrified of slippage. First I wear a stocking-type cap over my hair, then a wig grip(which doesn’t reeeally help me as greatly as a lot of other people say — grip), and finally, I attach wig tape around the perimeter of my forehead, sides, and back near the occipital bone. The problem is: since I’m placing the tape around the edges of my hairline (half on/half off the skin and hair), when I go to remove that tape it RIPS MY HAIR TO PIECES, or, I end up having to CUT the tape OUT of my hair/ head!!! Some places are paper thin with hair and it’s AWFUL. But, I don’t understand WHERE on the head to place all that tape because if I place it all down on my skin ( especially for short wig styles & in the front where there is lace) , it will be in plain sight of everybody. What am I doing wrong? WHERE does one place tape around one’s head? ** I thought about maybe placing it ONTOP OF my stocking wig cap, however I thought to myself: What good would taping a wig to a cap be in the event that cap were to slide back or off your head?? The wig and everything would slide off with the cap! Don’t you have to tape the wig directly to your HEAD?? P. S. I’ve tried It Stays before but it doesn’t hold in the back and it’s too hot & humid where I live to trust it 2/3 out of the year. I live in Texas. Please help tell me where to place the tape so I don’t have to rip out my hair. I’ve tried using warm water to remove it but that only helps partially part of the time. Thx, Julie

PJ Mundy: I love the wig labeled "H". If you know off hand, what is it? Thanks Taz!

TIme Enough: I had to look twice!!! I was sure you would change wigs because I thought EDITOR"S PICK! I think it's beautiful on you but you rock those styles!!! Would I get that over EP at that price???Nooooo Taz...where did you get that blouse?! I love the color and drape of it!!! Also how you matched your eye shadow! :) I will pass on Eclat personally but I think you should keep yours!!! You are right though, everything it going UP! I've been looking for a new car and the two I want people are actually paying a few thousand over the list price!!! xoxoxo

Lisa Marie: So pretty. I wish They would have pearl Blonde without the roots. I am so over the black roots. I’m naturally blonde it doesn’t work. Blondes exist. So frustrating. Love your video was always dear Taz. ❤️

Judy Annable: So much fun Taz… Thank you

Kristine Bennett: Love this! Yet again you look like the incredible Debbie Harry. Have to say that I loved your tip more than the wig - love the color$ Its so cute!

Jackie Marsh: I'm Really Loving This One Sweet Friend!! The Color is Beautiful!! You Look Just Stunning in Her!! Thank You for a Perfect Review as Always!! Love and Hugs!! XOXOXO

Karen Fox: Taz: Very detailed review. I really like Eclat but I need a silver or gray color. In your opinion, what are some similar styles I could look at that would be in silver tones (or gray)? Any brand would be fine. One more question, what wig style is on head H? Thank you,

Christina Knapp: Wow…that lace front is amazing!

Connie Feltman: Loved it when you walked in! ❣️

Christina Knapp: Do you think this is a little bit brighter than Shaded The Biscuit on the Style? I have this color on drive and I love it. I’ve noticed that some shaded biscuit shades have been darker and I like the brighter. I know they do the color application based on the style but I’m all about light and bright and neutral to ash blonde. I love EW‘s heat defiant fibers.

Maria Daquila: Beautiful, Taz

Gee: Thanks for demoing this new wig, Taz. Can you tell me what wig is on your F wig stand?

Linda Schank: Looks exactly like editor’s pick!

Lauren S. Levine: You look GORGOIS! I love the color, on my phone's 5G monitor, it appears to be somewhere between SHADED BISCUIT & PALM SPRINGS BLONDE. MAYBE BECAUSE THE HILIGHTED AREA APPEARS BRIGHTER & QUITE FLATTERING. "ECLAT" brings the BEST up-lighting to your BEAUTIFUL face! I do also see the jair falls into a more random curl pattern, making it naturally pretty. Wonderfully candid review as always...It is unfortunately out of my reach, but I do want to try ELLEN WILLE wigs sometime. Looks like you have another favorite.

crystal ward: Hi Taz, would you happen to know which wig and color is on Mannequin H? Also what does silicon spray do for wigs?

Carol ReMarks: Would love to see your setup, the other side of the camera so to speak. The kind of lighting, etc.

Jacki: So cute on you! Did you have to tame any shine?

Sheri Levine: I am new to your channel. Do you only review wigs or do you also review toppers?

Angela Wortman: just received mine. The curl pattern is entirely different. I just have curls on the bottom.

Stephanie Williamson: Hey Taz! Love this one! What is wig K please ma’am??
