Hey everybody welcome back to taz's weight closet at wig studio one. This is taz today we're gon na revisit a style that i have reviewed a few years back when it first came out. I thought it would be worth taking a look in a color that i really enjoy we're gon na revisit raquel welch's watch me wow in the color shaded vanilla, which is ss23 all the details. Coming up. If you have any questions, please reach out to support wigstudio1.com watch me. Wow is a shoulder skimming straight layered style. It has an attractive and practical fringe to it. There'S a lot to love about this style as compared to maybe some of its peers in terms of style and cap features we're going to discuss all that coming up. But let's take a look at this shaded vanilla, i like to call it shade of vanilla. I think it's just ss23 vanilla, so the description says that this has a base color of an ash platinum with some white highlighting now i see more of a light ash blonde base color than with some platinum or white highlighting. I can definitely see that and then it's all on a medium brown root. This is a very ash tone, color, sometimes on camera that can come across gray. I assure you, there's no gray in this color, nor does it present itself as a gray shade, but this would be a nice transition if you were looking at going from blonde to gray. This would also be beautiful if you're used to shaded golden wheat by raquel welch, and you wanted to brighten up your look a little bit for the summer season. This would be an amazing uh transition, color for you as well. So it is a pale ash blonde, which seems to be really popular right now before i get into the measurements. I do want to preface this by saying that this had a lot of box hair. When it came to me the bang area, the fringe area was kind of sticking up in a couple different places, so i did my best just to arrange it in a way that was presentable, but i will definitely be working on the front of this. So that front piece is about five and a half inches five and a half inches is great for a lot of reasons. Depending on the length of your forehead, you could actually wear it over the eyebrow just by sweeping it one way or another on the other way is that you can arrange it around the face and eyes so all of this beautiful layering here it it starts with That fringe, so at five and a half, then you have another layer here and then the bottom layer. It goes into the most flattering, look around the face, and it's fully customizable, i'm not talking about taking scissors to it, although you could definitely trim these into more of a straight across bang or shorten them up whatever you would like to do. That way. I just mean that simply by styling them you can get a different look every single time. Overall, this style is about 15 to 16 inches from the crown down in the back. It has a little bit of flip there to the layers. The layers seem to be taken down just a little bit on the ends, giving it a nice modern look. So we've seen styles like this before across the brands. I like this one in particular, because it gives me some nice cap features. The price point is reasonable for what you're getting, but you want to know what you're getting so we're looking at a lace front, a full temple to temple lace, front and then a bit of a monofilament crown right up there. Okay um, then it is open wefts. On the top sides - and back so i'm not quite sure that i've ever explored a cap exactly like this on another raquel welch style. So if you think of their styles like pretty, please, which is completely hand tied, there's some other straight layered styles that are about this length that are more expensive because they have maybe full monofilament features and so forth. So this one again just features that lace front and then a monofilament crown. I, like the lace front a lot. The only thing is that it's kind of shallow, so what you're going to see is this lace front is pretty shallow from the the hairline back to where it ends. It'S only maybe a quarter to a half of an inch. If that what that does it presents that permatease a little farther up on that hairline, so that permatease starts in right right there pretty thick and what that does. Is it kind of props up the hair behind the hairline? So maybe that's why i got a little bit of box hair, because if it wasn't set in the box just right um, it might cause some indentations there uh something a little less natural, but just be aware that that that is the way this is constructed and There is a lot of permatease on the top, so um you can definitely bring it off of the face. Definitely - and i would prefer to wear it that way and it's an absolutely beautiful look, because that permatease will help keep those styles, those up and away styles lifted for you without using product and things which is not a problem. And that's one of the reasons why i love it. I think it's versatile in terms of its styling, especially that front piece here so flattering in so many different ways in terms of the monofilament crown. I really can't see it um or notice a difference. There'S no permatease in that area, but there's so much permatease here that it kind of obscures it, and you know i just don't see a real need for that. Monofilament crown on this particular style, there's still a pretty little silhouette a bump in profile. You really can't see down into the permatease. I think it's because i have a rooted color here um, but i've got this wide open on the part and i'm not seeing any nastiness, no obvious nasty look to it from the top that permatease will carry on through the temple and the back and the nape. So, there's quite a substantial amount of permatease on this style. I don't think that it impedes the movement. I think it does prop it up in all the right places so for those out there that are not fans of the true to life. Heat friendly fiber by raquel, welch you'll be happy to know. This is made from the regular synthetic called vibra light. So this is not a heat friendly style. You can definitely feel the difference in the fibers. They are light, fine and dry. I think the fiber gives it a beautiful wispy, look feel and movement along with this cut and here's an inside look at the cap for watch me wow by raquel welch, there's the temple to temple lace front. It does extend back into the ear tab. It'S fairly shallow, but the knots are very fine, very nicely done and it has a nice natural look from the front. There are the open wefts on the top met with a monofilament crown so kind of an almond shape one and a half to two inch. Long monofilament crown open wefted sides and back silicon on the on the wefting. Just to give it a nice custom feel, then you have a felted ear. Tab closed a felted extended nape with velcro style adjusters. Now what you need to know is that this cap is pretty much average right out of the box, but i did have to cinch that in as far as it could go to accommodate a petite average circumference, i have no way of measuring for a large circumference. So, as i mentioned, this is completely right out of the box. I haven't used any styling product or heavy styling. It'S just a little bit wonky at the front due to some box hair. Now these glasses, they uh. It is a bit of a snug fit between the ear and the ear tab here, there's a lot of permatease at that temple and just above the ear tab. So it does give a little bit of pressure there and i may have to slip it under a weft or under the cap to keep it secure. So i'll. Just take you through a little bit of styling for watch me wow.
