My mom has been the only person who has touched my hair. This morning. I left my house and I felt guilt tripped because I was betraying her. Hi, I'm Jessica, Garcia and today I'm dyeing my hair pink.. But before you see my transformation subscribe below., I'm dyeing my hair pink, because this is cute, but it needs a little extra razzle dazzle. I've already dyed my hair green purple orange red.. I'Ve done blonde and 30 shades of brown.. The last color I need is pink.. This is my first time getting my hair dyed at a professional hair salon.. After dyeing my hair, I'm hoping to have a Cosmo and Wanda moment where I get spotted in the street with a friend that got green hair., I expect to feel refreshed lively just like that bitch I mean. Hi Jess, I'm Dailey. Hi Welcome. Hi, I'm Dailey Greene.. I am a Black woman and I am the owner of H2 Salon Brooklyn.. I am known for hair color and I'm also known for cutting curly hair.. Before I put the pink on I'm going to do some swatches of different color pinks, so that you can kind of pick from those and see which one you really really like., I'm excited. Yay I'll be right, back. In this process. What I'm going to do is I'm going to mix a powder lightener with developer and apply it to her hair all over and she's, going to sit with it for a while., I'm going to get Jess's hair to a pale yellow, which is about a level 10.. I think this pink is going to look incredible on Jess. One, because I think that she has a daring and really spontaneous personality.. She has beautiful eyebrows, beautiful facial structure.. She has gorgeous hair., It's amazing short., And I think that this is just going to be a real accent onto what she already has.. I prefer my hair short because I feel like it brings out my features.. I feel like having my big hair. It all got. Lost. I was mostly hair, not enough face., And now all you can see is my face. And I like to serve face. Cutting my hair short. It was always something I wanted to do. When I brought it up to my mom. She was so angry with me. Like she did not want to talk to me. Around my birthday. She was kind of salty still. And she was like ``. Come we're gon na cut your hair.''. It took like hearing from other people that it looked great for her to be like ``. I mean it is kind of cute.. I guess I didn't do a good job.'' So dyeing it now is a whole'nother story.. So after I shampoo Jess, I'm going to put the Olaplex into her hair for about five minutes and let it sit there as a treatment before I tone her hair with the pink.. I pretty much laid out the different color pinks that we have. So tell me, which ones you like., Maybe somewhere in between this coral and this hot pink. Yeah. Maybe we can mix them together and get some of that really strong pink saturation, but still some of the softness of the coral. I'd like that, a lot. Alrighty. I think we got it. So now, I'm going to use a special mix of pink and apply it to Jess's hair section by section making sure that everything is fully saturated with color so that it comes out as vivid as possible.. Jess is always welcome to come back, maybe once a month for a color, refresher. Or she may want to watch it fade it as it goes from a really saturated, pink to a light pink to a baby pink to a very subtle mauve.. I went to the Aveda Institute for Cosmetology about 12 years ago.. I have a lot of art in me, so hair color's, an extension that I made into a professional career.. Some of the things that I really love about being a salon owner is the ability to really help women discover and create a look for themselves that they love and they like.. I think people are taking a lot more liberties with their hair and are very unafraid to walk around with things that they desire or have always fantasized about. The moment the big reveal. Pretty in pink.. Here we go., Oh my god., I'm pink. So the last thing that I'm gon na do it's molding the hair to your head.. So I'm going to use a little wrap foam and then I'm going to use the oil that I make, which is a hair oil.. So one is for styling and one is just for moisture. Just brush this down.. I feel like a fairy. Ding.. First of all, I love it.. Second, this is brighter than I expected, but I think that's what I needed. I feel like my pink was a little too safe., But I love this.. I love this gradient., It's subtle, but it's doing a thing. Outside of the salon for Jess in terms of maintaining her creative color. She can go to her local beauty, supply store and find a color, a demi-permanent or semi-permanent, which is close to the color that she desired or that she got here.. I can't wait to show my mom..
