All right so for this tutorial, i'm starting off with a 22 inch bundle of natural hair, black hair and two bundles and a closure of 613 blonde hair. That'S actually about you, know 18 inches. I believe these are the colors that i am going to be using, and i encourage you guys to check out the wig cosmetology course on color and styling, i'm just going to demo most of it in this video uh in those courses, we explain more on detail On dyeing hair extensions, so make sure you check that out: color basics and advanced color techniques. We go through all of that and i'll link that information right down below in the description box. But i'm going to start off by prepping the colors that i'm going to be using to start with on this wig. So since i'm going to be adding a color to this blonde wig, we want to protect the closure first, because we do not want any of the color to seep through, since this is already blonde, as if, like it's been bleached, we want to protect that and Make sure that it stays whatever color it originally is right now, so that we don't have to worry about bleaching the knots later, so i'm sectioning the hair off right now i section off top left and right and then i start working in the center back and You'Ll notice that, as you are watching the video, so i'm starting off with the darkest color first and i'm actually not taking this all the way to the end of these wefts, the blonde wefts, because it's going to have a slight ombre effect to it. So i'm actually starting off with the dark color first making sure that each weft, including the weft itself, is saturated with the color, and i leave the bottom half of it blonde, because i'm going to be adding the second color, which is more of a golden brown. At the bottom, so at this point i go with the second color at the ends uh. I make sure that i kind of spread that upward and downward to make sure that both the dark color and that brown color kind of blends in together. So at the top portion of the wig here is where i'm doing it actually in the reverse, where i'm adding the warm brown tone at the bottom uh at the tips. First - and i did this mainly because i had ran out of the color originally - that was going to be the full wig, so i just went on ahead and used the rest of the color on the tips, and now here you see me doing um some sectioning Off to make sure that i am applying the color to the rest of the wig a specific way um, where you know we want the partying and the the frontal to look natural. It'S not a frontal, but it's just a closure. So you want to make sure that this lace, closure uh, looks natural, so i'm separating the top half and then i separate like a triangle, corner of each side left and right side, because this is a center part. So i'm just separating those out of the way and then i go ahead and finish working with the rest of the hair, so alright. So now you see me working with that three-part section. That is actually the closure itself. I want to be careful as to how i'm placing this color on the lace, because again i don't want it to seep through, even though i do have something protective underneath the closure itself, so whatever you use, it can be got to be glue spray. It can be a vaseline or it could be an edge tamer, but you just need something to protect the uh, the bottom half of this closure. So i'm, starting with this area and being very careful as to how i'm placing this color making sure i get on both sides and then i don't push the color through the lace. That'S the most important part. So now i'm going to take some bleaching powder and 40 volume developer because i am going to be lifting the 1b natural color um weft. That'S at the bottom of this uh fully constructed wig and i'm trying to get it to match the warm tone that was added to the blonde hair. So i'm just taking it and saturating the tips. And then i separate that area if you notice i'm separating so that i don't bleach that, because once i bleach that it would be lighter and then i have to work all over again as far as getting that color back in place. So i just make sure that i'm not bleaching that part of it. So that's what i'll do i left this on, for, i believe about 30 minutes. It processed pretty fast. I, and it's mainly because i put it in foil after i was done, applying the um. The bleaching powder and the you know developer to it - and i just checked it probably about every 10 minutes 10 to 15 minutes, so maybe about three two to three times and it lifted up to that color as well. So you can see it lifted pretty pretty nicely so blow drying the wig and i'm gon na go ahead, curl and style it and you guys get to see what the final results look like do. So that's it.
