Hello, my YouTube friends: how are you In today's Wigs Untangled? I will show you how you can dye your alpaca hair Using regular semi-permanent hair colours. You will need alpaca hair, preferably white in colour. If you are trying to achieve clean shades In terms of hair dyes, you can use any type of semi-permanent human hair dyes From cheap colouring, hair mouse to more common hair dyes, such as Crazy Color, Dare Fudge and Manic Panic. Then you will need some plastic gloves. Aluminum foil and maybe a mixing bowl and a brush Today, I will be testing these six shades from, Dare That I bought from my local Hairhouse Warehouse in Australia. Okay, let's get started As per instructions. All you need to do is apply the colour all over the hair evenly And making sure you do not miss any spots. Otherwise the hair colour will turn out uneven. Then I do the same thing with every other shade, while making sure I wash the brush very well after each colour. So now I let the colour develop for about an hour or two After which I rinse really well with luke-warm water. I do not use any shampoo here to avoid removing too much of the dye. If the hair feels a bit oily when dry, it means you did not rinse it properly. Then I put the locks on some paper towels and let them dry overnight or until they are all completely dry, Then the fun part begins brushing each lock with a comb or brush And voila Your freshly dyed. Alpaca locks are ready to be used for your new wig. earisu: This is great! A tip for all: If you have a dark blue, purple, or pink, you can mix them with white conditioner (silicone free preferred!) in a bowl to dilute the colour to create pastel colours. :) Can save you from having to buy multiple colours.

Debra L McCormick: For whose asking about the "alpaca hair" this has to be Suri Alpaca fiber because that is the only Alpaca breed that has long locks like this.

Kirby Wonder ♡: Your tutorials are really useful... but there are one thing that i love more... YOUR VOICE! <3 so cute and calmd, you can be a boom reading for kids.. amazing voice honey!

vagrantones. *music diaries*: I feel so relaxed after watching your videos...

Ashley Weller: Keep up the great work, love how you go through step by step so clearly.

Dacey Tuttle: I love this series! I can't wait to see how you attatch the hair to the wig cap!

MyuNeptune: I really love this dark purple shade! Amazing!

Chan C: Thank you Nicolle :3 this was very informative! I love all of your videos you are such an amazing person!!  ^_^ thanks again :)

WhenTheSkyTurnsDark: Thank you so much for this.   And for letting us know Hairhouse Warehouse in Australia.   Especially since so many tutorials are by users in the US.  We don't have access to all the products they do straight away, having to wait until the get shipped over (if a company ships them to Australia at all).

Drica Minguez: I love so much all your videos! Thank you for this awesome tutorial! I already learn so much from you <3 <3

Reese Harris: Great vid as usual! I'm really enjoying this tutorial series <3 I've been following so that I can make a wig of my own. Do you have any tips for ombre dying?

Nina: Very interesting! I dye my hair and use wood aniline for it, I think it should work for that. The process is the same, but as it comes in powder, I mix it with a moisturizing hair mask before using. I'm Brazilian, so, sorry for my bad english :p

Pixel Ghost Creations: I cant wait to see how you attach the fibers to the caps!

Rockabell-Neko: So beautiful! I always love watching your videos - your voice is so relaxing and sweet~

dollyin08: love watching your video!!! I would love to see you make a wig by using these fiber ans the wig cap you made. thanks :)

Mary Culkin: Absolutely amazing :)

Resi Hrtmn: I love your videos! Keep going!

Andrea P: I was wondering, is there a specific reason you use semi-permanent dye rather than permanent? Thanks, love this helpful series :)

Augusto Henrique: The most beautyful is the Light Blue Dare color! I Love that! <3

Nicolle's Dreams: Massive thanks to everyone who is sending subtitles! If you want to contribute but don't know how to check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9cKgwnFIAw Subtitles available: English Spanish I do not get informed who sends the subtitles so let me know that way I can credit you <3

Christina Alveraz: Hello I love your videos :D! Can you make a video about you making the full wig for your dolls? Like seeing or glueing in the hair on the wig cap? I would love to see your method :3!

Kayla Jordan: I love your work of art

ALOMANITV: great tutorial!

Frappzilla: I saw that you had crazy color too. What are your experiences with that dye? This was a great tutorial, thanks.

AshElevendy7: Your videos are really useful and you always talk so calmly!

Adriana Sierra: Can you do a custom bratz doll I would love to see one !!

Noelle B.: This is a seriously great tutorial. Though my only question is when are you going to post how go attached the fiber to the wig cap?

kawaiipetal: i just bought some alpaca fibers. I am just starting out with wig making, so I only bought a small cheap 4 oz bundle to play with so I don't feel bad if I waste it. after watching your wig tutorials, especially the mermaid, and the boho butterfly crown, I feel like I could probably use your videos as a guide line and hopefully not mess up too bad lol. i just came back to rewatch this video and the one before it before purchasing the fibers. I'm nervous but excited about making my first wig! thank you for always sharing your knowledge in an easy to follow, and fun to watch method.

Lucia Akashino: Hi! Ok so I have a question to ask. If you want the wig to have highlights what would you do? Just add tiny strands of hair that are lighter then the original color? Or is there another type of thing? And if you are planning on making a video for making a full wig can you show us how to add in highlights?

Isha: how do you attach the hair to the wig cap ?? AWESOME WORK BTW !!!

Karkat Vantas: Amazing!

fauesushii: amazing! ill try it

Ichigo the Hedgehog: those looks gorgeous

Lila Smith: I never thought of using Alpaca fur for wigs. I am relay excited now. I own a Llama which has very similar fur to an alpaca's and if that doesn't work I will ask a family friend for her alpaca fur. Thank you so much!

Chelsea Carter-Taylor: I didnt know you were in Australia too! I've always been wondering if you could use hair dye on BJD wigs! I kept only seeing water colour tutorials and ink...

Jake Oakley: I love that lavender colour xxxx

Nyssa: I didn't know you lived in Australia! When I saw the coles brand aluminum foil I thought to myself...hang on...coles is an Australian brand haha. I am in Australia too so it's nice to see familiar brands!

Ramune Glass: Hello I love your tutorials would you do one of how attach the hair to the cap you made earlier? Or is there a video I haven't found

Keitarin: Hi there! Have you ever had any issues with dye from the alpaca fibers staining the doll?

Dread Knot: When dying natural fibers- use acid dyes meant for natural fibers. It is the way to get accurate and permanent colors. :) Ye can find these many places, but Dharma.com is a big company for it.

Montana Goss: I screamed when I saw the Coles tin foil, I didn't know you were Australian :D

hearth_therapy: How do you attach the fiber to the cap?

VenustasSomnium: May I ask where you buy your alpaca hair in Australia? :)

Ronny Bunny: Does this work with fur doll wig ^^?

Poppy Evans: my favourite shade of dare colours is the purple

Casey Shaw: Is there a particular reason why you have to use semi permanent hair dye on the alpaca hair? Like if I was making one based of your instructions and wanted a wig with natural tones; why could I not simply use what I would on my own head? Also, when will you make the wig tutorial on how to actually plug the hair into the bald cap that you've done a wonderful job of showing us how to make. (I really really liked that video because I never thought it'd be that easy and so simple - cuz now I can make wigs for as many dolls as I want!)
