Are you tired of wearing the same old wig wish? There was something else you can do to it to make it look different? Well, I'm here to show you how to transform your old synthetic lace wig into something fun and you. So if you would like to see how I got this look, then just keep on watching onto the things you will need. First, you will need a blonde or a white wig, preferably that way it absorbs the color better and in this video, I'm using my old Lydia lace, front wig by audrey, and the original color is a dr 27 613, and this wig is very similar to the Zen wig, which is why I never did a review on it, then you're going to need some alcohol ink. I bought this pack from Michaels and it was about ten to fifteen dollars. I believe it came with three different colors, but for this video we're going to focus on that blue green color, you're also going to need a plastic bag. If you want to be all fancy, you can get one of those huge Ziploc bags, but I didn't have one handy, so I just ended up using two shopping bags and stuck one inside of another. Just so I don't make a big mess, then you're gon na need water and I ended up using roughly eight cups of water. But if you want your rig to have more pigment, then use more color and less water and of course you need gloves. So you don't stain your hands and fingernails, although this ink does come off easily - and I just want to stop here and say that you don't have to specifically do this on a wig. You can do this on synthetic weaving, hair synthetic braiding, hair on the Marley braid hair. Just make sure you use fake hair. This process does not work on human hair, okay, so onto the tutorial, I would actually recommend doing this outside because it can get very messy, but the first step is to fill your bag up with water and I'm sorry, you can't really see everything because I was Being my own cameraman, so it was very difficult, so fill your bag up with water. The second step is to add your color in there. I actually ended up using the entire bottle of the alcohol ink for this tutorial. This is what color the water was after that, and your third step is to place the wig into the bag, and what you want to do is make sure you move the bag around that way. The entire wig gets saturated in the water, then your fourth step is to let the waik sit for about five minutes. You don't really need more time than that now. Your final step is to carefully remove the wig out of the bag and let it air dry. If you're not completely happy with the color, you can repeat the same exact steps all over again once the wig is completely dry. This color is absolutely gorgeous yeah, the camera's not picking this color up. Well, it's like a blondish silvery green color and I absolutely love it. It'S not too much green, which I love, and it's not completely blonde either. So I will post some pictures in case the camera isn't picking it up good enough. This is exactly the color that I was trying to achieve and I got it so I am happy so I hope you guys enjoyed this DIY and if you do don't forget to thumbs up this video and make sure you subscribe to my channel, but I'm just Here, to tell you guys some things that you should be aware of, you do decide to do this coloring process on your hair, your weights, whatever the case may be. Okay, the first thing is: make sure you don't use product on your hair after you do this coloring process on it, because the product will pretty much kind of remove the color. The second thing is, you want to make sure that you do not get caught in the rain, because you will be dripping a blue or pink or whatever color you decide to do. You will be dripping of that color on your clothes and everywhere, and that's just embarrassing so make sure you don't get caught in the rain. The third thing is you don't really want to mess with the wig like the color will come off and onto your hands. So my rule, if you guys realized in my inspired hair tutorial the fishtail braid that I did when I was wearing the pink hair. While I was doing the braids, my fingers were completely pink because the color, the more you touch your weight, the color, does come off and onto your hands. So, beware of that I use the same exact technique on the pink hair in my previous videos, and I will probably insert a picture right here, but yet for the pink hair. The only thing the different was that I used less water and more um of that alcohol ink it's more of a light, really light um, pastel color and my pink was a lot brighter and a lot more pigmented, so yeah. I hope you guys enjoy this video. Don'T forget to Like comment subscribe and share it with your friends. Thank you guys. So much for watching and I'll see you guys in my next video bye,

Cheri: +SoffiaBanks Hello Soffia. I don't own a wig or anything but I am an art student in college and have had my fair share in messing with them. We have a much more...I guess "better" solution than water and the type of ink your using. Alcohol ink is known to bleed and we don't even use it here at my college. At a past Cosplay convention, I found out that... if you use rubbing alcohol and Acrylic Ink, the color is less likely to come off on you. The rubbing alcohol helps bind the Acrylic ink to the synthetic hair a lot better than water. Water when it comes to a wig and ink isn't the best for binding since, water can't remove the ink. I know the girl that I dyed the wig for did get caught in the rain with it on, but I don't recall seeing dye on her outfit. Your method is good, I just thought you would like to know one that...can save your clothes and you from changing colors. :3

James Ramirez: You can actually use FABRIC dye, like from Walmart to dye the wig. Because synthetic hair is a fiber, so the dye will stain and cling onto the hair, whereas what you did using ink. The ink doesn't do anything but coat the hair (BARELY) and it gets all over your hands and clothes. So if you want to actually be successful dying the wig, I suggest using fabric DYE, not ink.

Simply Windy: I can't wait to try this technique! Thanks for the video and you look lovely with both colors:)

Queen WerandRa: Thank youuu! This tutorial was so helpful- just what I needed. :)

TheCrazyColours: Thanks for this video! I tried this and it worked! I dyed it pink and I am so excited to wear it!

conkeyart: Omg, awesome tutorial, great job too, love it!!

Christina Ruggio: Great tutorial, very informative. Do you think by using hairspray to set the style would that also set the color from running? My daughter just purchased a few half wigs for the first time and your tutorials really helped. Thank you.

Lady Charity: I got to get me a blonde wig then! This is so cool, you look like a pretty mermaid :)

Logan Aves: you rock this looks awesome, im def trying it on a old blonde wig for sure

Briana Jade: that came out beautifully!

TheMizhollywood: replace the water with rubbing alcohol

AlastairDream: I ordered a dark brown wig from ebay for a cosplay, and (OF COURSE) the seller sent me a completely different wig from what was shown. And I'm too lazy too send it back and ask for the real one (it's all the way in China and I have a con coming up) so I'm gonna try this! Should use less water/alcohol ink because it's a short wig? It's pretty much like hair an average boy would have.

Rasheka Bianka: Can't wait to try this !

Mz Fancy: U just taught me something as well as the commenters. Thank u so much and ur end result is actually beautiful.

Let's Journey: Wow great video!!! Your hair turned out amazing

ShesThe1yup: your blue green turned out really good, that DOES look super nice!

TheHeartsandCake90: Great video! I have to try this on my Outre Paris wig. Tfs!

Mika Jones: Never knew you could do this... Thanks for sharing

Happiness Between Tails by da-AL Video Channel: Thank you! Great video - & you are so pretty :)

adele banks: yes I love that color and thanks for the video I'm so tired of my wigs ,now I can change the color ....

Ella: I found that food coloring for fondants, you don't need that much color because it's so concentrated and 40% alcohol works really well. Leave over night for a brighter color. If it's to strong wash the hair with shampoo or soap and some of the color let's go. Wash until clean water:)

Annie Christ: omgahh i'm so so excited to try this <3 thank you

diamondzonmywrist: I LOVE IT!!!!

Cenethia Taylor: This video saved my life!! And weekend thanks!!!

Angie: what happened is that the blue worked like a toner for synthetic hair. this is fantastic.

Radius: so I ordered my wig! I have a question, since you Did say the color can be rubbed off, I'm wondering how I would style it w/o it getting messy using heat?

Vonna Jaigh: Hey there @***** ! I was truly inspired by this video to try lavender hair without damaging my own. I have purchased a Lydia wig and everything! I want my lavender to come out the same level of pigment as your pink wig. I clearly want that pastel look, but i must ask: How much water did you add to the ink to get it to that color?

ShesThe1yup: have you ever tried fading a synthetic wig, instead of dying it. say you just want the color less bright?

Crystal Richards/ A.K.A The Sample Queen: Thank you for sharing, i have to try this :-)

NurseAyame: Would you recommend this wig over the Zenn wig? Could you provide the link for this wig, please? I'm very interested in buying it!

Lola Hernandez: soooo pretty!

Radius: It didn't work for me... I'm using otré emerald in the lightest shade(a weird wig had I know but I am determined to make it work)... Used 2 of the alcohol inks(different colors), been about 30min now and the only difference is that the blonde is a shade darker.... Plus I used less water... I'm not sure if it's the actual colors I used but looks like a plan B is in order :( good luck to every1 else! This was just my experience.

Destiny Salina: i loved this video! what did you use to edit?

Shantell Berryman: Pretty on fleek ★☆

Anya Denise Bray: I Love Your Hair And I Might Just Try This On Synethic Braiding Hair. But I Want Mines A Grayish Blue Color

Kay Miller: where did you get your wig? i love it!

Ohsidestiny O: If I use these alcohol inks, and wash my wig, will the color come off completely? I see that you also have a pink wig but I'm not sure if it's the same one you're using in this video! I would just like to change the color of my wig if I don't like the blue, if you don't know thank you anyway for this tutorial (:

Ryder R: Is it possible to streak dye (temporary) a synthetic wig? Thin streaks? Use foil? How?

Zae Jackson: I was Told it would transfer color if you don't use alcohol and also you must use more alcohol than ink. Do you think you would try it that way and tell us which way you'd prefer and was transferred less color??? Its simply the same steps you did just substituting water with alcohol (rubin alcohol)...

Ablackmansdream: The wigs came out really pretty

Lauren L: can you only do this with blonde hair? great video.

Tammy Williams: Where do you get your synthetic wigs from?

Britt Delgado: Wouldn't all that water dilute the color? Or were you going for a diluted color?

adrienne gellman: You might also want to try half acrylic paint and half water on a lighter colored wig/extention/topper to change the color.

Pixie Twilight: ❣️Thank You❣️ I know the comment under me is old AND you may never see this, but... I don't get his reasoning. You are using Alcohol Ink so how is that different from using Acrylic Ink and mixing it with rubbing alcohol ? :)I only buy Japanese wigs. The Branded wigs have the softest, most real wigs nothing like Halloween shiny thin wigs. So I'm worried the alcohol will dry them up and ruin them. I see someone mention clothing dye...still researching Thank You again for making this video❣️✝️

Girl Afraid: You look beautiful!!

MrsNickxxJonas: How did you get the waves back into the hair after washing it? And did you air dry the hair or blow dry it? I want to do this on a curly synthetic wig that I will buy, but I don't know if the curls will stay :(

Rebel T: Doesn't it dye your lace?

Alli: Does this process dye the lace on the wig?

mthrofzion1: gorgeous

Dani P: This is beautiful

Golden: did you let the wig air dry or blow-dry...and can you put heat o your hair after this

Kayy Bomb: The best dye to use for synthetic hair is rit

Shameka Bass: Can't you just use hair chalk?

HairDeLaCreme: Great results

Kattia Powell: What Dye Did You Use For The Pink Wig? That Other Dye In The Pack Looked Purple. Also, I'm Scared That Mine Will Come Out Hot Pink Instead Of This Really Pretty Pastel Pink. Do You Know How Much Water You Used & Did You Use The Whole Bottle Of Dye? Sorry For All The Questions Lol.

Lonnie 1Love: Im so gonna dye my wig Red. Thanks

shelby lynn: Wait, so if it comes off on your fingers....will it go on your fingers? Or your face??

lovelyChar xoxo: does this process work with havana mambo twist hair too?

Denise Meunier: wondering when you do this can you bring it back to the normal color of the wig

ittsabaadhabiit: can you link where you got the wigs please

Brittany Thompson: Is there anyway to lighten a curly syntetic wig? I am desperately trying to go from black to brown...
