I'M super excited to come to you guys. Let me tone down this light. A little bit there you go, you can see me to come to you guys with a much requested request from our working girl collection. So i know a lot of you who are salt and pepper, or maybe it's just salt have been asking for a unit that is in the gray family. For those of you who are embracing your gray. Maybe you are that's just what direction you want. Excuse me. You want to go with your color, but a lot of you've been asking about this unit and i finally have a new addition to the working girl family um. Her name is michelle. Let me tell this down a little bit. There we go. Her name is michelle um, michelle is actually a mimic of the nicole unit. It'S just available in that gray. Color. The great thing about our gray is it is that toned gray color so when i say tone, gray, color, typically, people who have salt and pepper or salt hair use a violet based or purple base shampoo to remove that yellow from the hair. The great thing about michelle is: she already has that violet in her, so it's like that lavender gray, so that she won't turn yellow and you don't have to deal with toning her if you're using heating elements on her like what i'm gon na do today. So without further ado, let me go ahead and show you guys our michelle unit, so i'm gon na get close, so you guys can see she is fully gray, but you see that hint of lavender as if she was toned out. That'S exactly what we mean when we say toned, but i'm gon na have to like change the light on here to see. If you guys can see it better. Let me turn it down. Maybe okay, we can go with that, but she's, very pretty so she's 180 density t2 is a super beginner friendly unit. So i know a lot of you are like okay. I don't know how to customize wigs well. The great thing about her is she's. Also beginner friendly, and she has that tea part, just like the nicole unit, where it's minimal lace, very little customization is required. She also has the combs on each side and in the nape, and then she also has the adjustable straps and, of course, lace deck back here. If you want to install her, i never install my units. I like my units to be easy going. I can put it on my head and move forward, so i am going to show you guys um how she looks on my head, even though i am not salt and pepper, but i am my own model, so i want you guys to be able to see How i customize her um for those of you who do get the michelle unit and also how you're able to wear her if you choose to okay, she is very pretty yes all right. So first things first, is i'm going to flip her back inside like this? So i'm going to tilt you guys down to my desk slightly okay, don't pay attention to my tools and stuff: okay, okay! So we're going to customize her first and let me see if i can bend this down there, we go! Oh, please don't follow on me. There we go okay, so i have three things. I have a pair of rigid scissors. You can get these from anywhere, i have a brush and then i also have foundation um. You can use powder or cream it's your choice. I also have a comb, and then i have my hot comb over here heating up on the floor on this towel, which she's, nice and hot. So what i'm gon na do is show you guys how i customized her okay and there's really no customization. For me, i'm very minimal, so what i'm gon na do is i'm gon na turn. Her well i'll turn her this way. So you can see what i'm doing. I'M gon na take my foundation, which is already on a it's already on. It already has a brush on it, so i'm gon na get a little piece of paper, because i don't want too much when you're using the liquid foundation. You don't want too much right because you you want it to kind of just like sprinkle on, so i'm going to put it here, and this is in my color okay. So what i'm going to do is take my brush. I just put a little bit on there and i'm literally going to just brush her with my powder or my foundation. So that's all i'm doing is just brushing the lace with my foundation lightly. Okay, so that's all i did was to tint the lace to my color. I just literally went in and brushed the lace, okay and then from there i'm going to go ahead and hot comb her from here all right. So my hot comb is nice and hot. So i'm just going to use this and just hot comb her back. Of course you don't want to burn yourself, so be careful, and then, if you plan on wearing her as a middle part, then you will hot comb her down as a middle part. You can do this on top of your head as well, but i learned from customizing nicole that i do not need to do this on the top of my head. Okay, so all i'm doing is just brushing her back or combing her back, okay hold on you guys all right, so we have her all tinted in regards to our color. So if you guys notice here now, she matches my scalp just that easy. You guys i didn't bleach the knots i didn't do anything now. If you want your part to be wider, you can pluck the part. I don't even do all of that. To be quite honest, so it's really up to you. So now what i'm going to do is take my scissors and if it wants to cut it, will it's the only thing with these kinds of scissors. They don't really cut that well, but these are like arts and craft scissors. You guys. I get these from any arts and craft stores. Okay. So what you want to do is make sure that you comb back your hairs and then you're just going to cut your lace. So the reason why i'm using these scissors is because it's going to take away that blunt cut or if you want you can use regular scissors as well. Let me see if i have my regular scissors here, which i do so you can use regular scissors. You can use an eyebrow eyebrow um razor eyebrow razor to me works really well as well. Hey siri text text, who do you want to send it to okay and then same thing here? I'M just gon na take off this excess lace and then i'm gon na do the same thing on this side. So i'm just giving it like a jacket cut. Okay and then any little piece, that's left. Let me close my door. My dogs would not stop working they're gon na okay. So now we have the lace cut. Okay, you can adjust these to make the wig as tight or as loose as you need it. For me, i have a large head. My head is 23 and a half inches. So if this unit fits my head, it can fit any head because i have a large head. So i know if this fits my head, it will fit anyone else's head and then for the back lace. You can do one of two things. Some people don't like this little piece of hair, that's laying across here, so you can cut it off. If you choose to, but remember, that's going to also affect the density of the unit, so i like to just cut the lace off and then, if i see fit i'll cut off more later on, hey siri hold on you guys all right. So now i've cut off the back lace. I'Ve went ahead and applied my little adjustable, straps. Alright. So now i'm gon na tilt you guys up there we go there. We go back to my little my little area here, all right. There we go so my hair is not done so i'm going to prepare you guys right now, um number two, my hair is not done so i'm going to prepare you guys a second time and number three, even though my hair is not done. I did a shine treatment, which is our new shine, booster conditioning treatment a couple days ago. If this was not last week, um my hair needs to be cut, so it just won't hold a style and also needs a relaxer, but i'm holding out before my haircut. This thursday, but i want you guys to take note that my hair actually is still very shiny. Even while it's dirty okay, y'all see that shine treatment and my hair is still shiny, even though it is not done, even though it needs a haircut, even though it needs to be relaxed. Can you all see that you'll see that shine, and no? That is not oil that is shiny, because when my hair is dirty, it is as dull as dull as dull. So the fact that it is still somewhat shiny is great all right, so i never put my units on with a cap um, i mean for sake of this video, if you guys want me to do it with a cap, put a one in the chat. If you want me to do it with my just my head put a two in the chat um, i don't like caps, i'm sorry, but for the sake of saving your hair caps are definitely recommended um, but i don't wear wigs as often so i usually don't. Wear a cap, but in this case i'm gon na put on my little bandit cap because you technically, if you're a wig wearer, you should be wearing a cap all the time all right. So if, since i'm gon na be wearing the cap, i'm gon na go ahead and make sure that i put some make sure that i put some foundation in the areas where it's going to show on my cap or you can get a cap. That is your color okay. Now, if the cap is not your color, you're gon na have a great time trying to blend your cap, but for the sake of this video, i'm only doing this, but the cap technically needs to kind of blend in with what your skin tone would be. All right so we're gon na go ahead and put her on remember. I do not wear salt and pepper. I am doing this for the sake of my video okay. So i'm going to go ahead and put my combs in whoo. She don't look like anything right now. Does she, but you just wait till crystal, puts her magic touch on her. So i, like the bangs, look now she's 10 inches. Just so everybody knows she's a 10 inch. I hate the first comb of any wig. Oh my gosh, i like the bangs on mine, so i think i'm gon na bang her, but you know what before i bang her i'll show you guys what she looks like without the bangs for those of you who are salt and pepper. So if you guys look at the part, it looks just like scalp and i didn't bleach the knots i didn't do any of that. So i have my flat iron here. I also have my hot comb here: okay, so i'm gon na go ahead and just hot comb her down again, this hot comb was like 9.99, so it's not like something that requires a whole heap. All right. I have a small head and we'll have to twist those straps with the bang, also yeah, if you have a small head, but that's the good thing about about her she's adjustable, so you can adjust her now. The reason why i like the slightly lavender hint is because, if you're going to curl your unit over time, gray hair begins to yellow okay. Just like it would your natural hair, it begins to yellow with any touch of heat. So that's another reason why we liked it in this slight lavender hint, because we wanted it to make wanted to make sure that over time as she gets older, she doesn't start to yellow on you. I know it has something behind my ear there. We go all right same thing over here, so if you guys see, y'all see that mm-hmm and my flat iron is set to 425. This flat iron is really old, though i can barely read the numbers on this. So you guys see the difference by now she's flat-ironed and laid versus she just came out of the pack. You guys see that scalp look at that. She blends very well correct. It gives it an ageless look, so it doesn't look like. Oh, my gosh, like i'm aging you no, it looks like you, can either be trendy gray, because there is a such thing as trendy gray or you are salt and pepper in its entirety, and this is typically how most salt and pepper women will wear their hair. They want that lavender hint because they don't want it to look yellow and they don't want it to look very gray either. So i'm showing you guys how she looks with the standard middle part like how she comes i'm flat. Ironing her on 425, most irons go up to 450. I don't think 450 will hurt all right. You guys, okay, so this is what she looks like just flat iron. I like her. I do feel like. I need to cut a little bit off of this side because of my middle part, but if you don't want to cut her, you don't have to all right. So now i'm going to go ahead and make her into a bang like. I did my other unit. All right so for you to make the bang, because i know a lot of you want to make the bangs, but for you to make the bangs it's really simple. Okay, so all i did oh this one. The michelle unit is priced at 170., so she is 170. all right. So for me to make the bang, i literally part it out into a triangle, and you typically want to part it out right to the edge of your eyebrow right, where you have the um. The arch and the reason why i part it out there first is because you don't want your bangs to spread apart right. Can you part her on the sides? No reason being is because she is a tea unit. The tea is made for her to be worn as a middle part. So if you try to move her to the side, one side is going to be shorter and the other side is going to be longer because that's how she's designed that's another reason why we call them working girl units because they're really simplified units. So it's not like you have you don't have to do a lot, but it's still a 13 inch across lace and then five inch back part and then a one inch t part for your lace. So there's that's all the lace, that's on there. Okay! So what i'm going to do now is i'm going to take my scissors and i am going to cut her right below my eyebrows. There'S a reason why i cut her right below my eyebrows, because, if there's a time when you put her on in a different place, even if you put her on too high or slightly higher, the bangs will land at your eyebrows. If you put around slightly lower the bangs will land below your eyebrows, but if you already cut her above your eyebrows, then you're going to have to try to match that every single time. So this is how professionals keep those bangs usable all the time. Now, as after i parted her out into the triangle, i literally took my finger and twisted her meaning the hair. I twisted it into a little piece of rope right and then i'm not going to put any tension on it when i'm cutting. So you don't want to hold it too tight because then you're going to create longer bangs. So i'm going to release the tension and i'm going to cut her right here at the bridge of my nose just like that. Okay, so, right now, her bangs are like that. Okay, so also when you twist it, it creates that arch brow, um arch, bang versus it being a straight jagged line. Then, if you choose to you can go farther over so i'm gon na go farther over, but you want to have control of your bangs. This is how pros keep control of their bangs hold on you guys. Sorry, you guys had to take that call all right. So now, i'm comfortable with extending my bangs okay, so i'm gon na extend my bang. Now i'm gon na go to right at the edge of my eyebrow okay. So that's all i'm gon na do is the edge of my eyebrow. At this point you can come, you can follow the cut that you already did or you can do what we call curtain bangs and i like to kind of do them like wispy, like it doesn't really take much. You guys. I, like my bangs to look natural not like forced or those wiggy bangs. If you guys ever seen the wiggy bang, the wiggy bangs are not cute, so i am doing it in this fashion because i don't want the wiggy bang and this is how you control your cut. So that's why i always tell you guys like if you're gon na, do anything. Do it like a pro. This is why we call you guys elite hair care pros, because we want you to do it the way a pro would do it. So i'm going to let it drop. I know the edge of my eyebrows right here and the good thing is: even if you cut just a little that's fine, because you can always go and cut more. You just don't want to be too scissor-happy and then cut way too much and bangs. If they're like natural bangs, your natural bangs typically are like choppy natural bangs are choppy you guys and then, if you have to fix it, you can fix it later, which i normally do. She is already cute. Oh, my gosh, okay, all right! So now i'm gon na lift my unit off my head and just hot comb the front just to take that part out the good thing about her is you can do this on or off, and all that was all i had to do to take the part Out you guys nothing more and then i'm gon na go ahead and split my bang, just because this is the first curl i'm gon na split my bang any other time, i'm not splitting her. If you're not comfortable, curling her on your head, then take her off and put her on a wig form and curl her that way, i'm okay with curling her on my head. I love the bangs by the way up and then, of course, this is why i say: don't do it. I just slap myself on the forehead with iron all right like such, so these are going to be a little too long on this side. So what i'm going to do is i'm going to trim her and trim those up when i'm done, but i'm gon na wait. I'M not gon na rush to trim them up and if you guys notice how i'm customizing her. I am taking my time and going in steps customizing, you want to take your time. You don't want to rush and customize the unit. You want to take your time and customize her the right way and now i'll pull her back some all right. So now i'm going to take my scissors and just fix this side here, and that is how you can customize your units. So i did my bangs. If you don't want bangs and you don't have to have bangs, i like bangs um. I feel like the bangs, give it a piece of, i think i'm gon na cut this piece too framing the face is also very important. You want to frame your face, you guys, so what you guys see me doing is i'm framing my face and i'm taking very short spouts and just giving it some shape around your face. That is how you make a unit. Yours, you have to frame your face. So if you guys notice, my bangs are nice and choppy they're, not like blunt cut across typically wiggy. Wigs are cut like this. Okay, if you like yours, cut like that, that's fine, i don't like mines cut like that. I, like my bangs to be nice and wispy and movable so that when the breeze blows so does my hair and it looks like it's mine, so you guys can see. I, like i lie see so she doesn't look like she's aged. This looks like you are either doing it for fashion or if you are a salt and pepper where it looks like you're, just salt and pepper. This is actually a great unit to wear in colorado. With a furry hoodie your girl, so this is the unit that i would wear if i was in like colorado and i had on like a furry coat, so i'm gon na fix the the bottom here real easy, nothing hard! Look at that! That'S all it took. That is what a pro would do. The bangs make. It look, absolutely amazing. Yes, i love the way the bangs make it look um. I am wearing her like what a young trendy person would do and then also for my more mature working gals. You know. If you don't want to wear her in that fashion, then you can of course wear her like you normally would with the curtain bangs and then, when you go on your trip to aspen, you wear her like that. This is how you style her when you're in aspen, when you're in new york in the snow. You know you're outside you want to take that picture. You just like this. You know what i mean and then you put on your little there we go and, yes, you guys get to see her with darker colored skin. Isn'T that trendy? That is another reason why i really like something like so i would do this because i don't wear salt and pepper, so this is actually my first time seeing salt and pepper on my skin tone, so i know that it looks beautiful on any skin tone. So imagine if you had your makeup done. Imagine if you yes makeup done. You know your lip gloss is popping. Let me put on my daughter's lip gloss. Let'S see it with some lip gloss, so just like that. So when you wear her, you can wear her. Like trendy, you can put your caps on with her. You can wear her without a cap and still look timeless and that's a good thing. So, even with the bangs, the bangs make her appear even more timeless. But i love the color of that that slightly lavender hue, with that slight gray, not that yellowy gray, i hate to see a yellowy gray unit. Okay, no yellowy gray units, please none um! That is just ill. So that's another reason why i really like the michelle unit, because i know at the end of the day it has that timeless look. It doesn't look like um your grandmother's, typical salt and pepper, like you still want to have your natural color, because i know a lot of you have salt and pepper, but you also don't want to look aged with it and that's one thing with salt and pepper Units they make you look aged so with this unit, you're, not looking age. Now you just look trendy yeah. So now you look trendy. This doesn't age, you, it doesn't add to your age already. It just gives you that sense of timeless units. It looks more like a trendy unit rather than that old-fashioned salt and pepper unit. That has the little wiry hairs. You see that a lot whenever you see units in the store um, you see that that that ag gray - i don't like those. I do not like those units, so that was another reason why my search was extremely important for us to find one that was timeless rather than aging. So it's not going to aid you if that makes sense, hey! Thank you! So there you go you guys for those of you that were asking for a gray unit. Here is the michelle unit with the bangs and then, of course you, if you don't want bangs, you can wear her as a middle part and, as i said, it's very easy customization you guys notice. I didn't bleach any knots. I didn't pluck anything. I didn't. Do any of that? I literally put her on and i have a cap on under her and she is nice and snug on my head and i have 23 and a half inches of a large head. What level of gray is this um? I would kind of put her more towards a platinum gray. I don't know if that makes sense um, because platinum is more like a white. So that's another reason why and then, on top of that, it's a toned gray, so it already has that lavender tone that you would do with a violet shampoo for you to remove the yellow so the way that they toned. It is beautiful. Yes, she is just right, so this is the gray that i would like um and here i'm going to turn off the light, so you guys can see her without light like this is just my regular light at home. Let'S see what she looks like in in sunlight, there you go so the sunlight is going to give you guys a better idea of what she looks like. So this is in natural sun. So if you guys notice she's more like a white that whitish gray all right, it has that tint of of lavender. Yes, it's called violet, it's a violet tint. It is a violet tint. Thank you.
