Don't Forget To Live Your Extra Life.

Hi beautiful there's one thing that i get requested to do a lot and it's use kool-aid to do hair color and i don't know what the fascination is with kool-aid and hair color. I have no experience with using kool-aid as color. I know nothing about it. I don't know how to do it, so i'm here and i'm gon na experiment with some kool-aid. If this actually makes some nice color i'll be so excited, but also like confused we're gon na. Do it on miss manny quinn, we're gon na give her a sickening look with a bunch of different colors and we'll find out. If maybe you should be using kool-aid to color your hair honestly, that sounds like a terrible idea. Let'S do it first thing we have to do. I guess is watch a tutorial on how to use kool-aid to color the hair. I mean it seems easy enough. You just mix the kool-aid right you put on the head, but we'll see what happens here. Maybe there's some weird concoction i need to make up. I don't know, what's gon na happen, so this video is called diy, kool-aid, hair dye tested - and this is by carrie dayton and we're just gon na learn quickly how this all really works. I don't want to go into this so blindly that it doesn't work out like. I want this to work and i want something to happen and i want to know how to do it properly, so we're going to learn how just really really quickly. I just always use this tupperware to dye my hair you're going to need some conditioner. That is white, so a bowl, some cheap conditioner got it. Let'S do it and then of course, you're going to need your and some kool-aid packets make sure it's warm and use just enough. Warm water i'll put a lot of water in here, but just use enough to like dissolve the kool-aid. So i'm just enough to dissolve it got it add as much conditioner as you want. I think until you just get to the color that you want. Oh, my god, this is so opposite of everything. I'Ve ever been taught to do. Um, okay, use food coloring as hair dye, great okay. Now, if you can see the difference between the two colors there's a huge difference, this is like way too light. This is the one that didn't show up okay, so she basically said that it did nothing to her hair and she ended up mixing up another batch of it and putting less conditioner in it. So it's more pigmented, so we're gon na make mine so so pigmented we're gon na use actually like four packets. That'S three four packets per color! I wan na make this like neon and so bright. Okay, so her hair came out like this, but i'm gon na push mine to the next level. We'Re gon na make this so damn bright and so damn fun. Let me get my supplies and let's get going on this, shall we so i actually somehow found like every color of kool-aid possible and i'm really excited about it. Let me just introduce you to the flavors of today. Okay, so we have the grape flavor it's purple. We also have oh, my assistant, put these in actually matching color bowls to the color they are so i love that this is lemon. It is yellow and then i have cherry which is obviously red. Then we have our pink one. This is uh, it doesn't say. Oh, it says pink lemonade. We have pink lemonade, cherry lemon and grape. You know what this is a challenge. Can i make a masterpiece using only kool-aid. Is that possible? I don't know and we also have a cheap conditioner. I chose pantene. I actually like don't know if this is actually horrible for you, but um it was cheap. I'M not gon na lie, it smells kind of good. We also have a color bowl. We also have some gloves, and just you know some water everything we need to do. This, i guess now i just have to decide what color is going, where i'm kind of nervous about this. I'M gon na do purple underneath i'm gon na do one side of her head pink, the other side of red and then i'm gon na. Do her bang section, yellow i'm ready to do this? She'S, probably dreading! This sorry miss manny quinn but you're gon na get kool-aid hair color. Today, no matter, if you like it or not, let me go grab her and you guys can say hi before she gets absolutely wrecked by kool-aid. Actually, hopefully, it turns out good hi, miss manny quinn, yoo-hoo. You need a makeover darling. Yes, you do look at you, you look terrible you what? Oh you let your best friend bleach your hair and she has no experience doing hair. I knew i recognized that color. No, it does it looks really bad um. It doesn't go with your skin tone at all, but we're going to fix that today for you you're so cute though you're going to be so pretty by the end of this video and you get your little makeover. So we're gon na begin with a good, solid middle part, bam. Okay, we have her hair sectioned down the middle and now we're gon na separate out some front e-girl strands, because i don't do anything at this point in my life without doing some e-girl pieces just a way of life. At this point you know, let's do the underneath now, i'm just gon na. Do you know about two inches up from the bottom and then around the little ear? You know those good things that make you hear things can't live with them can't be without them. You know voila one side done: let's do the other one just the same as this, except not really because it's hard matching things. Imagine if this doesn't work, i'm gon na be so upset. It'S gon na work. It'S gon na work, it's gon na be fine. It'S gon na be great all right. Let'S start mixing up some colors, so we're gon na do four packets, like i said because i want it super bright, because we don't do anything happy over here. This smells just like grape who would have known it smells very grapey. You open the packet. It'S just like right in your face, smells like toxic chemicals and things you should not put in your body or your hair, oh god. What is in here citric acid. It'S basically a gatorade, it's just like sugar and salt and water and, like some artificial, flavoring, healthy love that kids drink this, my kids would never. Okay, should i taste it? Okay, i well haiki tastes really good. Oh my god. It'S like sour candy, sour candy. No, it really tastes really good. Do you want to taste it i'm really nervous? Oh my god. It'S really good. I have hands all blue or black. I don't know whatever. I'M gon na put my matching gloves on. Let'S take our hot water and just pour a little bit into this powder mixture. Okay, so i'm whisking it together. It is dark purple. I mean it looks like black and that's exactly what i want she said to just put enough in just so. It absorbs into the water, but not too much water, and now we're gon na use our pantene and put this in it. Okay, um yep. It looks black. This just feels all sorts of wrong. Oh it's so clumpy, oh, my god. The pantene scent mixing with the grape is creating this like extra nasty smell, artificial, okay, it's actually not clumpy anymore, so i'm really happy about that. But you actually can't see it on camera because it is so dark. It'S literally black guys, i'm hoping that it actually turns out purple, but we will see - i guess, let's, i guess just put this all over the bottom. I don't know if there's a technique to this but um. I guess it's just like regular color. You just put it on: why is it cream? I use clear conditioner. Why is it bright, green, it's bright, green! I did not do anything that you guys didn't see on camera. Do you think it was like a chemical reaction? Okay? Well, i guess she's getting green hair, i'm so confused, oh my god! What if they all turn out green? Why is this happening to me? This happens to nobody why yo i'd be so pissed if i was actually coloring my hair like this, and it just ended up green, like kind of the ugliest green ever i'm sorry miss manning but you're getting green hair. All of a sudden, maybe it'll turn purple, but i doubt that i don't know it's looking kind of like aqua. Now actually has a nice consistency, though, and a decent smell. I really wanted purple not green, though it'll go cute with the bangs, the yellow, bangs guys if the yellow actually turns out yellow, which would be nice. If that happened, what happened? I don't know? Why did you do that? We didn't ask for the green lantern. We asked for grape, like how did it turn out green? You know, okay, now that i'm properly suffocating my client, we are going to continue on and do one of the sides, and hopefully it doesn't turn out green, i'm going to be so upset if this goes green on this side too we're going to use red because I have backup of red, so if this turns out green, we're gon na have to think of a different way of doing this. It smells like cough syrup, i mean it looks red we're gon na put a splash of water. Maybe it was the conditioner we're gon na try other stuff. That is a little bit nicer and it's still white so don't come for me. It is white, okay, this one's red. We might be able to save this. It is green on the back and it's dripping everywhere. Okay, this conditioner mix is a lot better too. The color did not turn out green on this one, but it did turn into cottage cheese. I'M gon na use my cottage cheese mixture and start coloring. Oh god, this is gross, it is red dough, that's the worst consistency. I'Ve ever felt in my life. I feel like this is gon na turn out orange, which i'm okay, with you're gon na look so pretty miss with your green and orange hair uh. I better prepared myself because i was getting dye all over this shirt as you can see. I finished this side also, while i was gone, because this is just such a mess, if any little girls are watching or anybody who's actually not a little girl who wants you to set her hair? Please prepare yourself for an absolute tragic mess and prepare your bathrooms or wherever you're doing this and cover everything because it gets everywhere. It is so liquidy. The bottom is turning kind of blue which i'm excited about. I don't know why it's doing that, but it's okay. Um we are gon na do now the pink side and we're gon na use pink lemonade. I'M gon na mix that up and start applying to the other side. I'M not gon na lie. I'M quite excited about this. I mean this is the brightest kool-aid hair color moment i've ever seen on the internet. Am i setting records here? Hell yeah. I am that's what my channel is all about. Setting records, oh okay! This is so weird because they're all so different, this one just mixed up so nicely, it's so creamy, the other one was so nasty. I mean i'll. Take it with this one like i, i need an easy side. Okay, i need something to go right for me today. I'M just gon na get this on. There ignore what i'm about to do to her, because it's going to be messy, it's going to be nasty, but i just want to finish this. Food is not supposed to go on your hair, it's not made for that! Also like citric acid and all that it's not made for this. So let's just keep that in our mouths and not in our hair. But if you really want to do it, i'm sure you can i'm sure it's not going to make your hair like fall out or anything, but i can't recommend it because i don't know what the side effects of this are. I just find this interesting and i wanted to try this out just to see if it actually did work, but i'm still not saying it's good for you. So don't come after me. If you try this, this is pink man. This is really really pink. It'S also like so gummy, oh, my god. It'S getting everywhere all right! Well, the color looks cool. That'S actually my favorite color that we've done so far. My floors are gon na forever be sticky. Did i just wipe that off the table? Hell yeah? I did and that ladies and gents is how over it, i am right. Now it doesn't even comb through. Is this gon na harden like this? Oh god, this is gon na, be the ugliest color combination you've ever seen in your life, but it's okay. Let me clean this up really quick and then we're gon na work on the last color, okay last and finally, we're gon na use lemonade, and hopefully this is a bright yellow, seeing how artificial all these are. This should be an extremely bright yellow, but who knows it might just turn out green and her hair already is a little yellow. So i feel like it'll, actually complement it nicely and just adds the effect of the yellowness going on we're gon na just be really hopeful with this one. This yellow is as yellow as the bowl it's in it's actually more yellow. Okay, we could be onto something here a little of this okay. This is perfect consistency. For me, this is great. After three tries, i finally learned how to mix this properly. It'S not that easy or maybe it is, and i'm just a little slow, probably that one. Oh, this isn't bright at all. Is it okay? Well, it might tint the hair a little bit. Well, hopefully, this turns out a little bit, yellow perfect done and done. That'S what it looks like not much hope here, all right, i'm gon na let this sit for. However long this video recommends i'd sit at four, which is probably like 15 20 minutes um. I'M gon na check on that when i'm back, this will be all rinsed out and all blow dried, and hopefully we have something interesting to examine we're gon na see. If this comes out good, if it comes out shiny, if her hair feels okay still and maybe like - let's see if you should do this at home to your own hair - actually don't do that, even if this comes out good. Just don't do that all right i'll be right back, i'm back with some results for you, while i was, you know, blow drying with manny quinn's hair checking it all out. I was also watching videos of other people doing this. What happened to miss manny quinn wasn't exactly satisfactory. It didn't exactly come out how i wanted it to. I quickly realized that there is kind of no right way of doing this. Everybody does it so differently. I think i found like three or four different application methods for this and the girl who did the brightest color, did it on her kids and used boiling hot water mixed with kool-aid and let their hair sit in the boiling hot water for 20 minutes. I wasn't about to melt this mini quinn, so i did not do that. Also, i would never put hair in boiling hot water. That'S so unsafe. You could get a third degree burn. Oh my god. It would be so bad if that water spilled on you or anyone around you so unsafe. I guess i kind of did the safe method, but i guess the boiling hot water would have probably worked out better. I don't know i was about to try it all. So i was about to do it again. I ain't got time for that or the patience. Let me show you what happened with the method i used. What the hell happened is that what you're asking right now, i think i can hear you what the hell happened. Brad, i don't know what happened guys, i'm just as confused as you. This is awful. How is this like green, slash, blue? Where did the pink go? Can i get some answers in here? This is not it. Oh, my god. I don't know. I guess i just didn't: do it right, i'm at a loss for words, here's what she looks like. Let me get her off camera now and we can talk so clearly. It didn't work. The purple turned out green. Somehow i couldn't tell you why very puzzled about that one, and that's it that's what you're getting today for me is a completely failed kool-aid challenge video and me telling you that i don't recommend using kool-aid to color your hair, because it's not made for that there's. So many cheap same permanent colors on the market. That will do the same thing and you can just put it on and know that it's gon na work correctly and it's not as complicated as this and you don't have to risk getting third degree burn in order to do it. Please don't use kool-aid to color your hair such a fail. Why did that go so bad, i'm so upset. So thank you guys for watching me. Go through that miserable task of coloring hair with kool-aid, and it just completely not working make sure you guys follow me on all my other social medias. They are all right here, make sure you guys check out x, model hair, my haircare brand at xmodohair.com, linked below also on instagram at xmondo hair. Today'S instagram shout out goes to mary and mary says i, like my color and it's virgin hair. But what do you think i could do to change it? Maybe a style or a color. That'S not too crazy for school. Honestly, just a bit bored and i've had the same hair for years you could add a little pizzazz to your hair for sure. I think you would look stunning with red hair: do a demi-permanent red color over it like a coppery red over your already blonde highlighted hair it'll, give you amazing, red, dimensional, hair and it'll. Just look so good and if you do demi-permanent color it'll wash out and won't be permanent, so it'll be a good change. If you don't like it, you can always go back to what you were before all you guys. That is all for today. Thank you. So much for watching don't forget to live your extra life i'll, see you next time, bye, guys

Mochi Mochi: Brad is like the only person who calls me beautiful

Emily M: Brad: We are using CHEEP shampoo Me: OoOooOoO Brad: *pulls out the shampoo I use* Me: wait a minute

Alex Tutorov: Brad, a reminder, don’t use the Kool-aid that tastes good, use the unsweetened stuff that’s basically just colorant and powdered citric acid.

Kathryn: brad- food dosen't go in your hair me- does hair masks with honey, coconut oil, avacado, and more

Yuki Takeshi: The “purple” didn’t turn out purple because since the dye became a black, the mixture of yellow tones with black dye creates a green hue instead of a purple. This makes sense because purple and yellow are on the opposite sides of the color wheel. There’s no way for yellow to turn purple. Professional hair dye works fine with blonde hair but since kool aid dye isn’t as potent, the dye doesn’t overpower the yellow tones in blonde hair. White platinum hair might work better to create a purple hue if used with kool aid dye.

Anni Nicole: Imagine being Brad’s client and he talks to you like he does his mannequin. 10/10 would go back.

Samantha Yu: Brad- “don’t use koolaid” Me-“ immediately wants to try koolaid on my hair”

Isabella Tanachian: Brad: * posts a video* YouTube: let’s notify her 6 days later

Jo Havelka: when I did koolaid hair dye we would use a pot, water and we'd boil the water, pour the koolaid mix in, stir it then put it in a bowl. I'd then just dip dye my hair and it always came out bright as hell

Marie L: Does anyone else watch these videos over and over then say "I can do that." Thank you Brad, now Im ready to open my salon‍♀️‍♂️‍♀️

Tessa C: the “purple” actually turned out really pretty. it’s a nice tealish color

kali: hey brad, you needed to leave the color in for around 30 - 40 minutes for it to be as bright as you would have liked. the time you leave it in for depends on how bright you want the color. hope this helps!

Joonsrightoe: Brad: I don't recommend using kool aid to dye ur hair Me: I'm gonna dye my hair with kool aid

Ellie Gerber ASMR: Is it just me or does the final project look AMAZING!! I love the colors

SDC: I dyed the ends of my hair with red kool-aid and it lasted a whole year, so if you want that...... go for it lol.

Bree Wilson: Dear Brad's Assistant: I really appreciate you matching the koolaid flavors with the color of the bowl.

Bella Hardin: brad you can also put the hair in hot water with the Kool-Aid and it looks really good on my dark brown hair without lightening my hair

Erica Fiala: Brad you should film the rinsing out when you dye. It’s satisfying

miranda: What do you mean her hair doesn’t go with her skin tone, it IS her skin tone!

Victoria Anderson: I dyed my end with kool aid the blue one, and i LOVED IT!! Actually planning on doing it again tomorrow!

Wongani J: The “purple” actually turned out quite pretty

mlobrien15: I love how Brad starts out so optimistic every time even when these hair dye hacks never work

Void Mother: its green cause theres a lot of blue dye in the purple koolaid, and the hair is yellow toned. blue + yellow

Lizzy Winchester: I love you sooo much!! Watching your vids even when I’m depressed I can’t help but to laugh !!! I love the way you talk/treat Ms.Mannequin ❤️. You seem like such a humble/down to earth person as well. The world is a lil bit better to have us all been blessed with you! We love you BRAD ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Carly Wiley: I'm telling you every girl with descent length hair has at least thought of dying their hair with Kool aid

Eden Kaiman: Brad: “WHY DOES EVERY COLOUR HAVE A DIFFERENT CONSISTENCY” Also Brad: *uses different amounts of water and conditioner in each colour

Courtney Beck: Brad: We have grape. Which is purple. Also Brad: We also have lemon. Which is yellow. Still Brad: Then we have cherry. Which is OBVIOUSLY red.❤️ Me: Lol YAY! Brad knows his colors! I was laughing hysterically!

Gamer Girl E: Pantene is a pretty good brand for my hair. It seems to work and make my hair soft and untangled when I use the conditioner and brush my hair out after my shower.

pixelatedcorn: I used red koolaid for my hair ends, it was permanent to the point I had to get it cut out

stxrmiiskies: brad: my kids would never drink this! also brad: *EATS the kool-aid*

Maria DeRoche: Brad: "this cheap conditioner.." Me, poor: "pantene is cheap...??"

Rebecca Vargaz: "Cheap Conditioner" Lol then proceeded to pull out what I use when I feel like just brought a nice expensive bottle for myself this time instead of suave or VH5 lol

Iccarus Senpai: she did that sooooo wrong. I've been using Kool-Aid to dye my hair for YEARS and it always works if you do it properly. Echo Gillette's video is what I have always followed. please try this again with her video. As far as the green/purple goes, I have noticed that when mixing the purple Koolaid with conditioner it actually is a green-based dye, not purple.

Melissa Sophie Comeau: I got extremely sick, and you're video help me to keep going. I really love watching your videos. Brings a lot of positive energy, and I always feel better after watching them.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Lexi Lorelei: For years I dyed my hair with kool aid and from my experience the only 2 colors that actually work are dark red and blue. I think Brad didn’t leave the kool aid in long enough, I would leave it in for like an hour and even 2 hours for the red. I personally don’t use as much water because it dilutes the finished product but the purple actually came out pretty good.

Victoria Stringer: I am so happy I found your videos. I love them, and they never fail to make me happy.

Genie TPWK: I died my hair with koolaid once and it turned out so bright even though I have dark hair. But I did it a different way. All I did was warm up water on the stove and mix in the koolaid. Then I separated it into two mugs and divided my hair into two ponytails. I dipped the two ponytails into the two mugs and waited for 15-30 min. And I think the reason the purple turned green was because her hair started off yellow. Purple is a close color to blue and blue and yellow make green.

Amazing Grace: I think it looked good lol I loved the bottom color “purple” and the tint of red you did good!

LillianGames2021: Brad casually just pulls out the shampoo I use for my hair sometimes as my mother buys it! Lol

Ello Bish: "Honestly that sounds like a terrible idea.... Let's do it!" - Brad Mondo 2020

Aarah: It's so satisfying watching Brad, not just him colouring hair just him as a whole person. I don't know why anyone wouldn't be obsessed with him !!!

Olivia Ellis: When I did it I was scared my hair would melt so I just waited 5 minutes for it to cool down just a little, and it worked amazingly, I used blue and only did the tips of my hair. I didn't use any conditioner

Katie Rasberry: My friends and I used to do this at sleepovers in middle school we mixed a bunch of packets with just conditioner, we only did a strip and we put it in a foil and slept over night (with a towel under us), I did red and surprisingly on my natural brown hair it got pretty vibrant

Faith N: i used to color my hair with koolaid alllll the time when i was 12-14 and it always worked and it always lasted longer than regular hair color! i had red bangs from koolaid for over a year with out ever going over it. i also had layers in my hair once and j did every layer of my tips in a rainbow. and that also stayed. so i wonder what he did wrong lololololol

Caitlyn Bullock: Brad: **gets mad when people don’t follow directions when dying their hair** Brad after watching a tutorial: yeah so I’m not going to do that... “WHY IS IT TURNING GREEN??”

G Lockwood: I did this a few years ago it turned out really good, although I did have to sit with my head back for 20 minutes but I got a really pretty color but my hair was a medium dark brown and I had to wash my hair to get the color showing , I got purple and over the months it went to a subtle red to a dark purple and it was beautiful, me and my friend both did it but we were like 5 so we had our moms do it, she had blonde hair and did pink/red and I did purple with my medium dark hair, I loved it so much, but I know some people have had horrible times with it but mine turned out great.

Jessica K: Fun fact, my best friend used kool-aid to dye her hair bright green and it honestly turned out so beautiful

Mallory Grace: I colored my hair with kool aid last august in 2019, later a hair dresser bleached it and it didn't go away!! Now more than a year later I still have it

Austin Arnold: You need to leave it on for like 6-8 HOURS. I used to dye my dark brown hair with koolaid when I was a teen and it always came out really well. I mostly used red because some of the other colors change because of the food coloring mix used in thr powder (ex: blue koolaid turned my hair green). I think I was using aussie conditioner at the time and you mix your packets with some conditioner until you have enough for the amount of hair you are coloring, do not add water. When i got my hair covered in the mixture (really saturated) I would put a cap/bag on my head and sometimes I would use the hairdryer on it for a little to add heat. Sleeping like this is messy and annoying so Id reccomend doing it during the day and rinsing it thoroughly in lukewarm water before bed. Make sure to cleanup any koolaid that gets around yoyr bathroom immediately because that ish STAINS. Overall it was very effective for me and I did the method like 3 or 4 times when I was younger. I have dark brown 3b/3c hair

Kas M: Brad: "We're using cheap conditioner." *Pulls out the exact one in my shower* Me:

🦋MiMi🦋: Brad: "sour candy......sour candy" Me "WE ARE FAMILY."

Anna: Anyone else love how he talks to his Manequins calling them so beautiful but insulting them at the same time

Elena Sexton: Haha in middle school I tried the boiling hot water and kool-aid technique. The color turned out pretty decent. I used red to dye the ends and later put a streak.

Noemi Leiton: Brad is literally the only person I go to when I need hair advice lmao

Golden Spuds: Brad: "I found a cheap conditioner" Me: "Oh that's what I use lmao"

charlagator C: You can also boil the kool-aid water, that’s what I did, it was really pigmented and I used 6 packs :) hope this helps!

Lorelei Sadler: What we did with my hair (it worked) was we boiled water, put the kool aid in it and mixed, then dipped the ends of my hair into the kool aid for about 15 minutes.

The Among Us player: Brad even if I’m saying this 3 months later the video was posted the blue/purple actually looks nice with the blonde/pink/purple hair at the front.

Destiney Skye🤍✨: Brad makes my day better everyday

Kyra Ashby: Brad: “food is not supposed to go in your hair” Me: *puts avocados, honey, yogurt, acv, soy protein in my hair once a month*

Amber: I was just thinking about how I use to color my hair blue every year in high school with Kool aid and conditioner. I loved it and was fun to do.

Holy Cow!: Ive actually done this with red kool-aid it actually stayed a deep like maroon for about two weeks.Which I actually really liked definitely would do it again with my friends!

Jill Elsemore: Boil it then soak it in your hair for 15 minutes it works so well for me! Try it that way next time

depressed blanket: I remember when i was like 10 i used kool aid to dye my hair, my hair was brown at the time, but when i did it i boiled the kool aid in water then dipped my hair in it and the dye actually came out pretty vibrant on my hair and ended up staying on for about a year. So thats cool.

CharliMarieTV: I actually really like the peach color the red turned to!

breanna solberg: So y’all telling me you never tried koolaid straight from the packet? love that

JustALittleBitOfBlue: My mom and I used to dye my hair with kool-aid to color the tips of my hair all the time, we would boil the kook-aid then let it cool in some cups a bit then just stuck my hair in for like 30-60 minutes, rinsed it and it pretty much never fades, we always had to cut it out XD

thatgirlwiththegreenjacket: The only time I used koolaid on my hair, I did use the same method you did. But I left it on for 3 hours. It was great, but faded significantly after only a few days.

Reanna Rodriguez: I did this when I was younger and it actually worked. It lasted for a couple of days tho.

Ivanna Huez: why does she low-key look good tho? like I swear Brad makes everything turn out beautiful

Avathemonkeyboo Roblox: Hi brad! Love your vids keep up. The good work!

Ashly Gardikis: When I did this to my ends in middle school I made a batch of Kool-Aid like normal, boiled it, dipped my ends in, let it drip into the sink for awhile then rinsed. It was pretty well pigmented and I got a ton of compliments on it... but after a couple weeks MY ENDS GOT SO DRY I wanted to just chop them off :(

kahhhrahhh: This is how I used to “dye” my hair when I was younger before I was allowed to actually dye my hair!

Evershade: I remember as smol lil girl I tried dying my hair with a cold purple koolaid thingy my hair smelled like grape for 3 hours, totally worth it lmao

Mama'sCraftySide: Back in the 90’s a bunch of friends of mine colored their hair with kool-aid, but they would boil water and add the kool-aid and dunk their ends in the pot. It lasted pretty long.

Kiara St Onge: I did this in like 2nd grade and it was great and lasted for a couple years. I have dark brown hair too

Just Yexi: @brad mondo i think the color would've stayed better if you heated the conditioner first then add the koolaid packets thats the way i learned ! But the green came out good

Zoe Rampey: I died my hair with Kool-aid a couple years ago and it actually worked WAY better than regular dye did

Brittany Clark: I did this on just a patch of hair and it surprisingly turned out well and lasted a long time.

All Days Every Day: My 7 year old daughter thinks her hair would taste so good if she did this.

cproteus: Hey Brad - I saw your video and think I know what may have happened with the purple/green kool-aid. If they used red cabbage as a natural food colour, it will be red/purple in acidic conditions; but will be green in basic (alkaline) conditions. So, the vitamin c in the kool-aid makes the drink acidic and purple. But the Pantene is alkaline and when you change the pH, the red cabbage acts like an indicator and changes to - you guessed it - GREEN! So, I’m guessing the pH of the Pantene is probably about 9 and there you go. I’ll bet it’s red cabbage juice in the Kool-Aid. I’m confident enough to post this in the comments. LOL

SequinJin: Everyone says it's "temporary" but I have a little story for you. My two oldest sisters dyed their hair red with kool-aid. My mom allowed them to because it was only supposed to last for a very short time. Well, it stained their hair so bad that it lasted three years. THREE. For both of them. Like, no joke. It was pretty though.

Rachel: Interesting- as a child I did this multiple times and I used a different process. You put the kool ade in hot water and let your hair sit in it for a while. It remains in for a couple weeks

nat: since i’m a natural dirty blonde i died my two front strands and i let my hair soak in boiling water with the kool aid and it worked so well

Sophia Waitword: We did this with red Kool-Aid to my daughter’s hair ( just the ends). She was young and I thought this would be gentler on virgin hair than dye. Well, six months later it was still in her hair. Finally went to the salon to get it bleached out and recolored blue. 3 rounds of bleaching and it still didn’t all come out. The blue looked great but here and there were purple spots. The stylist said she’ll never give her kids that stuff to drink again if bleach can’t wash it out.

BabyDoll3yes Skye: So. I colored my hair with koolaid once when I was like 16. I got a gorgeous green and pinl watermellon looking color. BUT to achieve it I just mixed the powder directly into conditioner, saturated and foiled hair, and the best advice I was given was to let it sit for 5 WHOLE FREAKING HOURS. In hindsight idk what I was thinking. It was a stupid amount of time but it worked well. The whole five hours my parents where asking me if I was picking up HBO or local radio. It's maybe an okay idea if you have no money and a whole day to just do nothing but it's not very time efficient. I wouldn't recommend it.

Siri Qualley: i have done this and it turned out very vibrant and beautiful. and my bff did ombré and it was gorgeous

Karen Poulter: I think that the mannequin hair actually turned out beautiful! It looked worse before you rinsed it, but low key I would actually have those colors on my head.

Rose Quinzel: Brad saying it’s hard to match things Also brad: Matches it perfectly

Stiles Rose: I actually love the “purple” color, it turned into a nice aqua green color. Am I the only one? Loll

Sara Leader: I coloured my hair with kool-aid about 4 years ago and boiled hot water and put the kool-aid in instead of putting conditioner (i waited for it to cool down a bit before putting my hair in it so it was warm water) and let it sit for about 20 mins and my hair came out really vibrant also the colour came out after about completely after about 2 years (it started to fade around the 1 year mark)

Tess Huntington: brad: talks to maniquin like its a human everyone watching: *unfazed

Eve Osterhaus: Actually, I was expecting something worse than what came out, and also, Brad should totally do a video of him fixing the mannequin's hair.

Andrew: I have light blonde hair and we boiled the water and made the dye bright red. We put in like at least 15 packs or cherry and a few grapes. My hair was burnt but it was bright red for like 4 months and nothing would get it out so I had to cut it Edit: Me watching this with the undercut of my dyed blue with kool aid right now:

Elisea Hayes: The way he says “hi Beautiful” makes me feel so amazing

Latish Walker: @Brad Mondo, I colored my mannequin's hair back in the day in cosmetology school. I used 30 vol peroxide will cherry and lemonade Kool aid. I mixed to get the consistency of a cream. Applied like I would a regular color. Put a processing Cap and set it in the sun for my hour lunch break! The most beautiful color ever!!!! But I'm sure 45 minutes under the dryer would work, also. You should try it again.

Berlyn Huggins: Im blond and when I was 5 I was REALLY blond ... my mom wanted to dye me and my sisters hair with kool laid and it was red ...after 2 months of swimming and washing our hair every day nothing came out so we had to cut 8 in. of hair ...ps me and my sister had to soak our heads in I want bowls for 2 hours

SWAGGY AUTUMN VLOGS❤️‍🔥: I dyed my hair with coolaid and that was almost 2 years ago and it’s still in and my mom followed the Carrie Dayton method ily brad

SunshineCountry: Okay, but the "purple" actually turned out kinda pretty

Piper B: ngl i dyed my hair with my friend using grape koolaid and just let it sit in boiling water for like 20 minutes and it turned out the colour of wine so like hella dark red. but i also think it depends on the hair type because it didn’t show in my friends hair at all and it’s still in mine 3 months later ily brad❤️❤️❤️❤️
