No Bleach Red To Orange Hair Colour Melt | Root Strech | Perfect Bleed |

It this episode we look at creating a vivid red to orange colour melt without using bleach, I am a big advocate of not bleaching hair unless it is absolutely necessary i feel there are many times in a salon day stylist could avoid bleach but are scared that if they don't use bleach then they won't get the lift or the rite tone, My advice get some friends/models to challenge yourself to not used bleach and create a result that looks like you might have. ✌

Welcome for life of her, my name is James Atkinson. Thank you for joining me in this episode now today we're going to look at alternatives to bleaching hair, especially when we want those really vivid tones. Quite often, if I'm not doing a Pascal or something really ultra ultra light, I don't reach for the bleach, and that is because it saves the condition in the long run. Now today, specifically my models in natural level, seven, she wants a very bright red result. Now I can't just put a direct dye onto her roots on a natural level 7 and expect super bright results. So what I'm going to do is use a tint that is really red level, 6 red red tone with 20 volume and then, whilst that's on and processing, I'm going to put on a direct dyes straight over the top continue into my color melting. So we're going to go from bright red into a beautiful orange color and you'll see that it works an absolute treat to get the hair lovely and even in one simple step, saving you so much time in the salon and meaning that you don't have to go Through that arduous process of touching up a bleach regrowth, because as much as I love a bleach regrowth, it is not the ideal thing to do in the long term. Short term fine bleach away, but in the long term, is very difficult to keep that hairs. Integrity, especially if it's longer, and that's one of the main reasons, my lovely client came away from having bleached hairs because the integrity of her hair was dwindling. She came to see me having been to another salon and I gave her this alternative option of not having her hair bleached, but still retaining some really vivid color in her hair and, of course, that won her over and she became my client. So that's another little added bonus. Sometimes people are looking for the alternatives to what they're currently have or what they're currently doing to their hair. And if you have those alternatives in your toolkit, then you win yourself a client. So I hope you enjoy this and if you do then share it with your friends subscribe to the channel and smash that thumbs up button, that's your gift to me really helps the videos get out there, and I will see you again next week for another episode Of the life of hair, the first thing we're going to tackle is the natural regrowth. In this instance, I am using a permanent color that is ammoniated and using 20 volume peroxide with a double red pigment on a level 6. This is going to give me some natural exposure of our undertone because of the 20 volume and it will deposit a nice strong red tone. Now this will not give me the sort of vibrancy I am looking for, because I'm looking for a direct dye red result. So I need to do something completely different, I'm going to work through diagonally, just applying a normal root, tint painting both sides of my section for even saturation when I'm doing a classic routine. I like to work diagonally like this, so that I can paint away from my clients face. I feel like this gives me cleaner results around the hairline once I have painted all my roots all the way through. I will then go on to do my direct dye. Color, this direct dye is a bright red color and I will simply overlap it onto my red color. Now when I'm doing a root stretch, I always make sure that I paint pass to the parts rich. The Parata Ridge is the ridge just above for the ear. This gives us maximum transition from our darkest root color to the lighter color that we're going to paint on the ends. The main reason for this is because past the parietal Ridge, the hair moves when you go to work tomorrow, check with one of your colleagues move their hair backwards and forwards, and you will see the hair above their parietal Ridge will move a lot a lot less Than the hair below so I'm going to be making red into red orange into orange, using my fingers in a scissor motion and continuously combing the product through the hair, to create the most perfect saturation I can achieve. I know some of you have commented in the past that they feel that combing, the hair through this much is overworking the hair, but with the product on the hair, there is no friction applied to the hair. It is simply a case of mixing two colors on the head once I finished applying, I just simply comb from the parietal Ridge down to the ends, but but I never came back towards the roots, because there is a lot of product at the roots and we Will stretch it too far down the head in the back here I'll make sure that I paint my color down to at least the occipital bone. This is the equivalent of the parietal Ridge, but in the back this gives me the opportunity to make sure the hair has movement before I start blending two colors together. This makes life so much easier. I'M sure if you've attempted a route stretch in the past and had little success, it is due to the fact that you didn't bring the root color down. Far enough before you started to create or blend. I have worked with many people who have struggled with root stretches. Color blends color melts perfect bleeds whatever you want to call this technique because they are not stretching their root color far enough down the head. Once I finish painting all my sections, I simply just go back comb through each of my sections and make sure that my saturation and blend are as perfect as I can get them. So, let's remember the hot tips in the sides. We are painting past the parietal Ridge, that is the ridge above the ear. In the back. We are painting past the up, sifts or bone, and once we have got to pass the up settle bone or the parietal Ridge, we are painting approximately 1/3 of the way down the hair. Once we have painted our root stretch on, we then go back in with a comb and comb down our color, but we never comb from the root. We comb from the point that we finished painting our red color. This is to ensure we do not end up dragging our rig stretch, all the way to the ends of the hair. Once we have stretched our root down using our comb, we can simply go back in with our secondary color in this case orange, and apply it straight over the top working. The two products together, where they meet to create a mixture of both colors is very very important and combing it through sporadically will certainly help with saturation and an even blend. I'M particularly fond of this technique, not just using fantasy or crazy colors. Like you see here, but using natural colors as well, I use route shadows, root, stretches and color melts all the time. On my balayage clients, I feel like it's an absolutely brilliant way to create a seamless blend with your balayage techniques. Once I finished my technique, I just simply go back and double-check my sections coming through each section, one by one making sure that I have got perfect. Even saturation throughout each of my sections - and here we have the painted process. I absolutely love the look of this process as its on and there is the finished. Look, an absolutely beautiful sunset, color melt, perfect bleed route stretch, whatever you name it. It doesn't matter. It'S an absolute winner in my book, no matter what you use, make sure that your route shade is deep enough to complement your ends and go for gold, and if you do, try this technique or you plan to try this technique. Then let me know in the comments I'd love to know whether you're going to try it or whether you've, given it a go and how you got on. I am here to help you with any other tips, tricks or problems, that you have lots of people contact me and they will always get back to them. Have a wonderful week and I'll speak to you next time on another episode of the life of hair
