Hi everybody, it's sad for instant beauty. Thank you for tuning. In today today we decided to film in a more relaxed calming atmosphere, because what we're talking about is being overwhelmed. Sometimes extensions can be overwhelming, especially when you're buying them online. There are a ton of different brands, different thicknesses, different textures and colors, and lengths and just you know, remy hair, non remy, hair or synthetic. You hear all this terminology and you might get a little bit overwhelmed, especially if you've never used extensions before you also might be a little bit hesitant to buy extensions, because you don't want them to look unnatural or really obvious. So what we decided to do was come up with this video to tell you about our 5 tips on how to choose the best extensions for you. So our first tip that we're talking about today and something that you need to keep in mind when buying extensions is color. So obviously you know if you want to buy extensions that match exactly. You need to sort of stay in the range of one shade up or down from your own natural color. This way, when you apply them, they they blend in very nicely, and you won't be able to tell the difference, even if the shade is a slightly different or one shade up or down like I was saying you know, it could be a good thing because it Can show a little bit of dimension to your hair, can add some lowlights or natural highlights. So that way it looks. It still looks natural and it gives you like a beautiful overall look all of the colors that we sell actually have multi-dimensional tones to them. So, for example, this is our number 4 and if you can see it's got shades of golden brown, darker, Browns and chocolate browns. So if you can, if you can tell yeah it has a few different highlights to it, but the good thing about it is when you apply them to your hair, it picks up the different shades of brown in your own hair and it matches well. So every shade that we sell actually the multi-dimensional tones in it. So this way you can try and find the best shade that matches what you think your natural hair looks like, and then you probably get the best match. But if you still have some trouble, you can always ask us: we do give out free samples and free advice, so we could always give you our best recommendation. Another thing you can do if you can't find the exact shade that you need is to dye them yourself, so you can buy a shade. That'S a couple of shades lighter than what you actually need and then dye them darker. I don't recommend buying extensions and then lightening them like with bleach, because we just so harmful on the hair that it can shorten the lifespan of your extensions and you don't want to risk doing that. So the better thing to do is buy shade. That'S a couple! A couple shades lighter than the color that you need and then dye them darker. The next thing you need to think about when buying extensions is the texture and the thickness. Sometimes texture is even more important than color it's more telling if they don't match. If you have really fine hair and you under the extensions you're wearing our course or too thick it'll be really obvious - that you're wearing extensions or, of course you know if you have really curly hair to buy straight extensions, probably wouldn't work. So I mean there are a ton of different textures on the market, so you need to make sure that you get the one that's best for you. Also. Another thing you need to think about is the thickness. If your hair is very short, if your haircut is very short or blunt or like a bob cut, you know you're going to need a lot of hair to fill in the space, so you're going to need thicker set of extensions versus if your hair is very Thin or fine, or you already have a little bit of length, you can buy a set of extensions that has a lesser weight. When I talk about weight, I'm talking about the thickness and grams of the different full sets. So, for example, we actually have a hundred gram and 150 grams full sets. So what this means? The 150 gram is much thicker than the hundred gram. So if you do have the bob or the blunt cut, or just very thick hair in general you're going to need 150 gram full set, the next tip is length. What you have to do is decide what want the end result to be when you're thinking about length for extensions. So if you want to buy extensions just for volume or if you wanted a really drastic change and add a lot of length, this is the things you have to think about when you're buying extensions. So the first step when you're, trying to figure out the exact inches that you need to buy, is to measure your own hair. So you can see the difference that you'll be buying. I'M actually going to show you how easy it is to measure your own length. So the first thing you have to do is find your temples, so what you do is, with your temples, run your fingers back until they meet and then you'll find the center of the back of your head. The reason why we're finding the center is because this is where your extensions will lie so from that point, what you have to do is just get a measuring tape and blend it up from from that point and just to measure your ends, and this way you'll Have a good number, so you can calculate how much length you need when you're buying extensions when you're thinking about the numbers, you should keep in mind what you wanted from the beginning. So if you were looking for just a subtle change or just to add volume, make sure that you don't buy extensions that are more than one to three inches longer than your own hair. If you did want the drastic change in length, make sure that you get at least four or five inches so that you can play around with the length. Typically, though, any extensions, no matter what the original length you might have to get them trimmed or cut so that they match your own haircut. What I suggest doing is putting them in and then visiting your salon and getting them to cut the extensions right into your hair. This way, they'll blend very very nicely into your own haircut, and nobody will ever be able to tell the difference. I would just say make sure you keep track of where the extensions go, so when you put them back in they'll, fall really nicely with your hair. Our number one tip when applying extensions is to create a good base, so we recommend just spraying your hair with a lightweight hair spray, so that the clips have something to hold on to also we recommend teasing the roots wherever you'd be applying the clips. If you are unsure how to apply the clip in extensions correctly, we do have a video for this. Here is the link so check it out if you wanted a little bit extra instructions? Our final tip is blending the extensions with your own hair after application. So this is an important step. You want to make sure that your extensions blend in really naturally with your own hair. So it's really easy to do this because our extensions are made with the runny hair. You can use hot styling tools like a flatiron or a curling iron on them. So what I say to do is just grab your hair and the extensions when you are styling it and make sure that you run them together that this way they flow together and they flow in the same direction. This is the number one rule, because this way your extensions will look very natural if they're all flowing the same way. So, even if a little bit of your hair in the wind, when you're walking down the street flips out a little bit, it'll just look like a layer as opposed to looking like your hair and then extensions, because everything will be flowing the same direction. So, even if you know we wanted, alternatively, to do like a curl, you can just use a large barrel, curling iron as long as it's the same thing just grab your hair and the extensions together and you can just curl them or straighten them or, however, as Long as they are flowing in the same direction and then, as a final step, just add a little bit of smoothing gloss to your your own hair and the extensions just to blend them together. This way, you'll have a flawless finish and nobody will ever be able to tell that you're wearing extensions. So again, just keep in mind these five tips, it's the color, the texture and the thickness the length and then, after applying them correctly and then blending them together. This way, you'll have the best extensions and no one will ever know. If you have any questions about this at all, you can leave a comment down below or you can contact us through Facebook or email or Twitter or tumblr or anyone and we'll get back to you for sure.
