Coloring My Curly Hair Jet Black: Clairol Natural Instincts, No Damage!

Hey y'all, I'm Brianna and welcome to my channel. So today I'm going to be dyeing my hair jet-black I'll insert some photos and videos of what it looks like in better lighting, but the ends of my hair have a little bit of brown in them. A combo of me bleaching, my hair a few years ago and so in the summertime. My ends do get lighter and also I tried to use the box I asked beginning of summer to buy in my hair, so I'll be using the Clairol natural instincts hair dye. In the color Chu, which is black - and I won't be playing, that's all over my head to kind of get a fresh new look for the Fall and also because I'm tired of the way this grown-up hair looks and so I'll show you what it looks like From the back so that you can see what the color currently looks like in my hair, and so it's not that I don't like the way. My hair currently looks like this color, but I've kind of just been wanting to do a black for the fall, and also this is non permanent, and so this dye last for 28 hair washes. I have dyed my hair jet-black, a handful of times before Matt always use a permanent black dye, and so this seems like something that's just less risky and something that I can either keep up with. Or if I decide that I don't want my hair jet-black anymore. If I can just let it naturally fade away and it will be no problem. So if you want to see what my hair looks like and how I die then just keep on watching, and so I chose this hair dye because I actually saw it from lipstick and curls here on YouTube, / and sugar. It'S the same brand and hair color that she used, and this one has no ammonia or added parabens also has coconut oil and aloe vera in it. So it just seems like the most natural option, um to keep my hair healthy, and so this says it will. Last 28 washes which, for me, I only wash my hair once a week and I do not use sulfates in my shampoo, so this could actually last longer than 28 washes, but we'll see how long it actually lasts in my hair. So let me put my hair down to show you guys a better look of what the ends look like. So you want to make sure you have on the shirt that you don't care about because it's most likely going to get hair dye on it and so here's what comes inside of the box. So you have your applicator with the color activator. You have the color. Enhancing cream, which is what you mix in with that, and then you get conditioner cheese after you rinse out the time. You also get instructions and gloves. So, first I'm going to mix the ear dyes and section off my hair and then put my gloves on and apply it. So at this point, as you can see, I had pretty much almost used all of the hair dynasts to how the whole section of my hair to go so in the future. I will definitely purchase two boxes of hair dye just because the amount of hair I have is not enough for one box to completely saturate. So this is what my hair looks like wet and I'm not sure you couldn't see on camera um. Overall, it looks pretty good I do wish. I had bought two boxes of hair dye, just to make sure that I completely saturate my hair. So I think, in a couple of months, when I do it again, I'll definitely get two boxes, because I have a lot of hair and just one box wasn't enough like when I got to the fourth section I barely had any hair dye left and so overall I think it did a pretty good job of covering up the color, but there are a few spots. I can see that I wish I would have put more dye on, but overall it feels nice. This is what it looks like what so I'm going to go style it and then come back with an update of the final air-dried product, and if you want to see how I style my hair, I actually just posted a video of my current curly hair routine. So I'll post that down below and also link it somewhere up here - and these are the final results of dyeing my hair black. My hair is not all the way drive right now, but it is mostly dry and I really do love things results. I think it is perfect for fall. My hair still feels super healthy and moisturized. I did not lose any of my curls. I think that this hair guy was a very gentle natural way to dye my hair and, of course, I will still be doing weekly deep conditioned making sure that my hair stays Norrish, because I did just chemically process my hair.
