How To Dye Roots On Ash Blonde Wig + Laying My Wig | Yswigs | Ys0611

Hi guys welcome back to my channel. My name is Kirsty. If you're new here and today, I'm going to be showing you how I died the roots on my ash blonde wig, dark brown. Now this wig, I got it from YS, wigs and the style number. Is why s 0. 6. 11. I think if that's not it I'll, put the style number right here, so you can check the wig out when I received this wig. It came in like a 6 13 blond, color and the roots wear a dark brown. I didn't like that color, so I asked it up a little bit. I put some just some regular Walmart box dyes on it in the ash blonde color, and I was able to achieve this. Look. I'Ve worn this wig and some of my other videos. You can go look at those if you want to see the color a little bit better, but after I've washed this week a couple of times it has started to kind of lose the dark root color. So I'm just gon na go ahead and touch that up. I am gon na be traveling to Austin tomorrow, so I wanted to do this before I left. That'S why I look crazy right now, it's like 1:00 in the morning, but I wanted to make this video for you all. So, if you're interested in seeing this, then just keep on watching ok so to get started, the first thing I'm going to use is the brown hair color. This is just the color dark brown and it has the number 30 on it. I just got this at Walmart. I think it was like three dollars, I think, and then I have a mixing bowl with a little. I just got this in the paintbrush section so that I can put it on like that. So it's not like a line of demarcation. When I finish so, I have that and I've got my paddle brush and I think that's it so first things: first, I'm just going to go ahead and brush out all the wig a little bit and I've got it sitting on this mannequin head. So hopefully you all can see it, so I guess the first thing I'm just going to brush out the wig okay. So here's a better look at the roots. Hopefully you can see that I don't know if the camera is picking it up, but hopefully you can see the roots a little bit, so they have washed out a little bit since I first did them, so I'm just gon na cut them up, I'm not going To go in between and do too much over here I don't think I think I'm just going to focus at the top, so yeah, let's get started, so I'm going to go ahead and mix this up. So I'm just going to pour this into this one. You all probably know how to use these bucks dye colors at Walmart so and then I'm gon na shake it up and y'all. Please excuse how I look. I know I look ratchet right now, but we're just gon na have to deal with it. I'M just gon na keep shaking this up until it's all mixed up. Okay, so once I'm done shaking this up, I'm just going to pour it into my mixing bowl. I probably won't use all of this, but I'm gon na try and get it all into the bowl. So here's how it's looking now and I'm just going to take my brush and start applying it to the wig. You have to be careful when you do this not to get the dark color on the blonde. I'Ve done that before and had to like redo the whole thing. So don't be like me, so hopefully you guys can see this, I'm just going to dip my brush in here like this and just start applying it to the top of the league. You don't want your strokes to be too perfect so that you don't get a real harsh line of where you put in the dark color, and I am by no means a professional on this. I just like to do my hair myself and I don't like to spend money to go. Have anyone else? Do it so, like I said, just be careful when you're doing this not to get any of the color on any other part of the hair, and I'm going about maybe two inches down on the hair. I don't want the color to come down too far. I'M hoping I don't get a real harsh line after I do this I'm trying to do these strokes kind of uneven so that it gives a nice ombre effect and it's not super straight. So here's what it's looking like so far, I'm just going to keep kind of going over it and fixing any pieces that I see that need to be fixed. Okay. So now I'm doing I don't have any more product on the brush. I'M just going through and kind of spritzing out what I already have here and just kind of doing this motion and trying to blend it out to where it's not a straight line going across. So it's starting to darken up now, I'm just gon na keep an eye on it. I don't really go based on the timer on the paper. I just kind of eyeball it. If I see it starting to darken up, then I go ahead and take the color off. I don't want it to over process okay, so this is what it's looking like right now. I'Ve got the color sitting on it and I'm just waiting for it to darken up a little bit more, and I will come back and show you what it looks like once. I rinsed it out you kind of feel a little bit. How far I went down. Just trying to darken up the roots a little okay I so this is what the hair looks like now that it's all rinsed out, you can see the color. You can see it a little bit. I'M gon na come back tomorrow and show it to you once it's dry, so you can see the color a little bit better, but it's late. So I'm going to bed! So hey guys! So it's the next morning and I'm getting ready to put on my wig. You guys saw me color at the roots last night, so I'm gon na show you those in just a second, but I figured I'll go ahead and come on here and show you how I lay my wigs. So the first thing you're going to need is some got to be glue. I like to use the hairspray because it dries a lot quicker. I also have the got to be glue gel and you already know, but this is not a real glue. It'S just a really strong care gel that works like a glue, so I'm gon na give this a shake and then spray just the perimeter of my hairline. So once you've got that sprayed down you're gon na take your blow dryer on a cool setting and blow-dry. It until it gets like tacky, okay so once that dries down a little bit, I'm gon na go ahead and flip it forward and I'm gon na look in the mirror, because I can't see looking in that little viewfinder make sure you have it positioned right. So you don't have to move it once it's been placed on your head and then I'm just going to set it there for a couple seconds, and I just pull it tight here on like the ear tabs, so that this front part will lay down. I think I went at my part over a little bit more, but that's okay. I don't glue this down for the purpose of wearing it for multiple days I like to take my wigs off every night, but I am about to be traveling to Austin and I want it to last all day. So that's why I'm gluing it down. Otherwise, sometimes I don't even bother putting it down, so I'm gon na brush all the hair out of the way, so I can continue laying down the wig. So it's like sticking to me. Okay. Next, I'm going to hairspray this a little bit and do the exact same thing just hold the hair down on it. Okay, so I'm going ahead and grab some Clips. I got these at Ross for $ 2.99 just so that I can clip back to here in the front, so it's not getting in the glue because it gets really gummy if it gets I'm going to shake it again. Okay, now for the earflaps, I actually do take. Some of this got to be glue gel - and I use some of this if I can get it to come out so just about this much and even that's still a little bit too much. But I'm going to put that on the ear tab and I will have to lift up my glasses here in a second to lay this down right Fix, I'm actually going to go ahead and cut off this little ear, tuck, so that it sits over my ear And it's not covering my ear. This is what I cut off and I just cut a little sideburn there. Okay! So now I've got this side done. I'M gon na touch up the top and then do the other side off-camera, okay, guys so I'm finally, all ready for the day. This is how my roots came out. They came out pretty good and pretty happy with it. I don't have a real harsh line. I'Ll probably have to keep retouching it cuz. Every time I wash the hair, the roots kind of fade a little bit. This is how it looks.
