Paula Young Jamie Lynn Butter Toast Rooted Sf10/26 #6 Wig Review- Basic Cap, Heat Friendly

Paula Young Jamie Lynn is a Heat Friendly Basic cap wig and she is absolutely ADORABLE! I have been enjoying her SO MUCH! Seriously, I am someone who really loves my lace front and mono part wigs, so when I fall head over heels for a basic cap like this one I am always so surprised. I do love her though... and think her styling options are amazing.

Hey everyone - i am here today to do a review of jamie lynn by paula young in the color 1026, with a number six root. This is also known as butter, toast rooted. We have our wig sister aj to thank for me being able to do this review for you today. She sent me jamie lynn, so that i could have a chance to try her see her and i am just thrilled. I have been looking at jamie lynn for a while and i'm so grateful for this opportunity. So thank you so much for sending her to me. This is awesome and i'm in love with her uh. So what this video is going to be is going to be a review of this beautiful jamie lynn, my impressions, but also i am going to compare this color to shaded cappuccino by raquel welch. They have different color codes, but the colors are incredibly similar. I will also show you this beautiful piece outside, so you can see this color in natural light. So let's get going. Jamie lynn is a basic cap wig from the paula young line, and it is adorable. Let'S take a look at this style from all sides. So let me tell you one of the reasons why i do this when i turn around is i'd like you to be able to see the movement of the hair, but i'd also like you to be able to get a sense of the density. And if i do that and if you can see wefting or anything like that, so i think it's really helpful. I did that in another video and i caught when i was doing this, that you could actually see the tag, and so that was one of the clues that maybe we need to cut the tag out of some of these wigs. If it's a really um uh contrasting color um, so jamie lynn, like i said she is a basic cap wig, there are no cat features, no monofilament, no lace front. I don't think she really needs any of them. To be quite honest with you, i will tell you: i am generally a fan of wigs with lace fronts, um, that's kind of almost a must-have for me, and then i really do like a mono part or a mono top depending on the style. I don't think any of those are necessary. I think this style is absolutely darling and i am super thrilled with her. Just as she is, i looked on the poly young website today before i filmed this video to see. If i could tell kind of what the pricing and share that with you today, i'm in early august, the price of this wig right now is 59.99. I am blown away by that this wig is fabulous and feels awesome. The cap has all of the great cap features for a basic machine made cap. I just can't believe that price, so i'll show you this cap in a second. But let me just talk about the fibers on this. The fibers are heat friendly and they feel fantastic, they're just awesome and they so they can be curled or you can wear her as she comes out of the box, which is pretty straight um and just she's. Just so much to like about this piece, she is very layered. As you can see, there's all of these beautiful layers. I mean you would pay so much money to get your hair styled like this, because it takes some skill to kind of cut it in this. Just cute cute style, i just love everything about this haircut, the layers just just lots of fun layers, and it really gives it just a beautiful silhouette. Let'S take a look at this cap. There is no permit, no, i shouldn't say no permatease. There is no poofy pillowy permatease in this piece, so you've got your basic cap. You have uh the soft adjustable ear tabs with quite a bit of hair, actually sewn into the ear tabs. You have an extended nape as well as velcro adjusters. That'S what i mean by this cap has some great cap features with an extended nape with velcro adjusters, which, in my opinion, are the best adjusters. I just think you get a lot of great stuff. The other thing i love is that there is no visible permatease and i'll put her back on. When i talk about the color i'll show you this top there's no visible permatease and when you get a basic cap wig to me when there's no visible permatease. That is a huge bonus, because it's really common to be able to see permatease in basic cap. Wigs she's super comfortable fits great. This is really true to average i get a little very little room on the top which to me tells me this runs a little bit smaller than wigs, like raquel, welch or gabor, or even john renault. As far as the over the top of the head, i do have her adjusted in just slightly, which means that you know if you're, bigger than 22 inches you'll be able to wear this one, and there is a little bit of stretch on it. Um. Let'S talk about this color, this color is gorgeous, so it's a 10 26 with a number six roots. You can see just a little bit of a darker root, but it's perfectly done it's just a shadow, it's so beautiful, and this so the color code. 1026. A 10 is a medium brown, it's a medium light brown. Actually so brown, the brunette color, goes from a 2 to a 12.. So this is a 10 and then the 26 is a golden blonde and 26 is the kind of the last color in the color codes of just blonde colors. Before you start getting into the red blondes a 27 as a strawberry blonde. There'S no red tones in this. It'S definitely, i would say kind of ashy. It'S sort of in, like the a little bit warm, mainly neutral, a little bit. Ashy there's. Definitely some ashy uh vibe to it, but also some warm tones. It is so pretty. I think it will work for so many women, brunettes blondes. If you like, warm, if you like cool, i just really really love this color again, i will get outside it's nice. It'S got highlights it's just so beautiful. So if you have seen raquel welch shaded cappuccino, so the color code on that one is 12, 22 ss. 1222. That'S this color right here! I think these colors are super super similar, which really surprises me. I'M gon na try to show you them side by side. This really surprises me because the color codes are not the same, but it's so similar. So if i do a quick switch, this is a crowd pleaser. I think, overall, it has a bit of a lighter vibe, because raquel welch puts so many of the super light highlights in the front of their wigs, which gives them such great lace fronts. But overall, so it is slightly lighter, which which would make sense because of the the base colors at 12 instead of a 10. But i have looked at these colors in various lighting and i think they're super super similar. So if you like, shaded cappuccino, i think you're gon na like this buttered, i forget what i called it. Was it buttered toast rooted um, it's the 10 26 with a number six root. I do think you're gon na like this, if you like that, so pretty so um, let's just quickly talk about poof. This does not have a lot of poof very, very little bit of permatease crimpy fibers. Only when i touch all around there is no poofy pillowy permatease anywhere. It'S just fantastic. I love it it with the cut, though it definitely has kind of a rounded appearance and that's the style and the cut. I do think that you can certainly make this flatter or you can amp up this gorgeous cut honestly, i think that you can do a whole lot with this one. She is very tuckable, and so, if you like to tuck your wigs and just kind of give them that kind of tucked and polished look, you can totally do that. The coverage on me is excellent. The ear tabs come all the way down to my ears. You can see just a tiny bit of my bio hair, which actually i that's, why i love this rooted color, because i think it just blends with my bio hair, so great um before i go here. I do want to just talk to you briefly about something that i think all wig wearers should um do, and that is have a few accessories available to you to help you with your styling. So i just want to talk a little bit about when you get a wig, so this one for someone who's been losing their hair for a long time, even though it will not it's not poofy at all with permatease. You might find that just this kind of rounded it's a round brushed look is really what it has might be a little overwhelming to you. So what you can do and i highly recommend that you um own a few claw clips. So i have the tiniest tiniest little clock clip here for perspective. I had a whole bunch of claw clips sitting here. There we go. This is another size, and so you can see the difference in size. It'S a little blurry because of my face. What i recommend is, if you take these little tiny, claw clips what i love about these super tiny ones is, they can be hidden really well and you just clip down a little bit of hair, and then you pull the hair over where you've clipped and now, If i did that on both sides, you'll see that suddenly something that may have felt too round and too poofy feels just a little flatter, and i think that is so important to be able to do things like that. As you get used to wigs and and so wearing wigs getting used to how they wear and feel on you, you can take some styling accessories and really make a huge difference in the silhouette of a wig. This one has the definite full bang potential she's, not a little bit long for full bangs on me, but just enough that if you trim just slightly if you're a full bang wearer, you can get full bangs out of her so easily. Otherwise she sweeps so well to the side and again with no lace front and no monofilament. You can actually decide which way you want her to sweep and you can part her either way. So that's another just awesome thing about this piece. I just love it. I'M such a fan, if you want to curl her, you can, because she is heat friendly, just keep in mind if you like this style, and you just want to put a few curls in for something different you're not going to have an easy time getting her Back to this style, so what i recommend that you do is get a second piece: if you can for for 60 bucks um, maybe you can afford to get two and have one that you put some curls in and then keep this one. This way that way, you've got something to change it up, they're the exact same wig, so there's not going gon na. Be any question for those of you who don't aren't out of the closet about your wig wearing, that's a way to change up your hairstyle. I um honestly, i give this two thumbs up, i'm loving it. The fibers feel amazing. I can't tell you how she wears, because i haven't worn her, but i've heard from a lot of wig sisters that they love um, paula young heat, friendly fibers. She it feels great this length isn't going to be an issue from a wear perspective. You know heat friendly fibers can sometimes be challenging to take care of, but if it's short enough to stay off of your clothes, the friction that is the main problem with heat friendly, wigs really isn't an issue all right guys stick around. So you can see this color outside. Let me know if you have questions, i i'm a fan, highly recommend this. I really do it's just absolutely adorable. Thank you to our wig sister for sending this to me, and that way i was able to share it with you have a great day and i'll talk to you soon, hey everyone! Here we go with the 10 26 with the number six root on paula young, jamie lynn, outside i'm absolutely loving this. I love this root. I think it's perfect and this color is great, absolutely love this color, so beautiful. It'S a perfect kind of light brown dark blonde. The root really makes it great for us brunettes, alright, guys, thanks for watching you

L S: She's so cute! I love the way she's layered. Her highlights look like you just came from the salon. Can't beat the price, either. Thanks for sharing!❤

Lisa Lev: Thank you for reviewing a PY wig! Their hand-tied wigs are amazing!

Lisa Burdge - Southern Gurl Budgets: love seeing how far you have come in your wig journey and so grateful to you for sharing your experience with all of us wig sisters

Kimc GARYC: Love this review!! PY has some pretty styles. I have Ashlee in Buttered Toast. I’m impressed by the fibers too. Excellent description of color. I hope to see more PY reviews. The wigs are affordable and fun.

Deborah Aronson: Loved this! My first wig was a Paula Young and it has been a fascinating and expensive journey to realize how much wigging I can get without spending the fortune I “think” I need to spend. Great review!

Kathleen Beauchemin: That looks beautiful on you. Definitely love the color My first wigs were all Paula Young and I must say that I think they wear just as well as the more expensive wigs. My very first wig was Heather by Paula Young and I wore that wig every day for almost 6 m9 this. She was on sale for $39! I have her on in my profile photo here. As a matter of fact that photo was taken at a church dinner and was the first time I went out of the house in a wig! Great review, as always Stay safe and well ❤️

Mary Kelley: Sensational review. Thank you for going out in the sunlight to see the color. You give a lot of info and your enthusiasm is so uplifting.

Carol Bray: Looks adorable on you. Great review, Denise. ❤️

Yvette Ratson: I have her in sunkissed, love the feel of the fibers, I really like the Paula Young wigs and she does have some great sales

Laura Marrow: Denise, thank you for this review and you look so pretty. I love the price and your right you can get 2 for the price you would pay on more expensive wigs. Thx so much for reminding me to give this a second look

Lorraine Kelty: Thank you, I am new and the small claw clips never saw them that small! Yes I will definitely be trying that method to flatten it slightly as I get used to it.

Brenda: My Deirdre from Paula Young is one of my favorites! So much so that I bought a second one becausePaula Young tends to discontinue styles fairly often.I love the color of this one!

Geneviève Bedard: Great video ... as usual! ☺️. And always plenty of information. Your explanations are so clear! You would make a great teacher! Simply beautiful!

Peg Parrish: That Jamie Lynn wig is stunning on you!! I am new to this and really appreciate how detailed and thorough your videos are. I have subscribed and will look forward to watching everything you have put up here. Going to order Jamie Lynn today, thanks Denise!

J Newman: what a darling wig. Thank you AJ for sending her and and letting us know all about her. One thing about you Denise, you tell, show it, and give you pro's and con's. I appreciate that.

Kathleen Manley: "You are Wo-man." When you switched one wig for another, I was so impressed. You are clearly very comfortable with wigs. I am now a subscriber, Ding, Ding. Thanks for the great review. Wish this one came in a color that would allow for my bio hair to be seen, white.

Patti W: Because of your review I bought this wig in this color I absolutely love it and you’re right it feels so real the color is on point it doesn’t look wiggy at all it looks very natural so happy I listened to your review!!

Mileetn: Glad to see this Denise. I've been looking at her for probably a year but for some reason I just haven't jumped! I will now becauseshe looks great on you!! And oh my gosh I love that color!! It makes me so happy that she came in this color because SS Cappuccino is my ALL time favorite color!!! If ever line had a comparable color to it I would never have a problem buying wigs!! LOL Now I have at least one more that is so very close!!!

Jeannie Deal: Just ordered this and it is all your fault! LOL. It looks SO adorable on you. You are pretty in absolutely everything you review honestly. This color will be a new adventure for me but this looks fabulous on you and I cannot wait to try it! This is not the first time you have gotten me into "trouble"! I appreciate it ... every bit! Thanks, Denise. Your wig reviews are awesome.

Melinda Baker: I have two of these in what is basically Shaded Wheat. I love the profile. I want to get one in Sunkissed and one in Buttered Toast. Thanks so much for your reviews!

Marlene Olson: I have a lot of Paula Young wigs - they’re usually nice wigs, reasonably priced, and comfortable. The only thing I don’t like about PY is the lack of color variety. There seems to be a lot of blondes with highlights, rooting, etc. With brunette, it’s just brown, dark brown, light brown, and black (basically). Love the color you’re wearing but I could never wear it. I don’t look good in anything lighter than light brown, unless it’s a little blonde highlights here and there. I have been eyeing Jamie Lynn for a long time but I wish she had perma tease because I like volume! Looks great on you!

c g: I have Jamie Lynn and it is the best. I was in a clothing store and a clerk wanted to know where I got my hair cut! She loved the style. I bought an extra one to have since I love it.

Blueberry Blues: Love you and your videos. This one looks super and a great natural color if you are a dark haired person who has had highlighting. I have had such a hard time finding the right color. Because I have so much gray now. This may be "it" but the PY I have tried in the beginning were really shiny and wiggy looking. My bio hair is flat and those with a pouty top look like way too much hair. Could this one be thinned? Is the hair less shiny than it used to be? And how do you get them to stay on w/o a headband or anything? My hair now is long enough for a pony tail and I put it into two little curls that I clip down and then put the band on. It's the only thing that holds it on w/o sliding slowly back off my head. Any suggestions? Thank you so much, you are a beautiful person. Xo

C G: OMG, I have a ton of PY wigs but avoided that color thinking it would be too warm. But I love Shaded Cappuccino. Thanks for covering this. I have a couple Jaime Lynns in different colors. I curled mine and they are so cute. Even though it is a different style and cut, the curl made it kind of round and voluminous like Dolce from Noriko.

Liz Millner: Holy moly. You look so good in this PY wig, in fact, I like it on you much better than the RW wig. WHO KNEW??? Love it on you and I a thinking seriously about sending for it. ❤️

Cutecamaro: The Jamie Lynn looks very pretty on you , I like the style and color is so natural !!

Angel's Wigs : Thank you for doing a wig review on this. I don't understand the stigma on Paula Young. Most everything I ever ordered has been pretty great and comparable to my more expensive wigs. Only a few things I've ordered have been iffy. Do you know what the stigma is on Paula Young I just don't understand. I have a wig shop and I'm thinking about putting more Paula Young in my shop.

Makeuphairjunkieover40: This looks so natural on u!! Love the color!!

junbug1029: I love my Jamie Lynn but the HfF fibers are so itchy for me. It’s a beautiful wig. xoxo Joan

Bonnie Morris: Thankyou. I have never had luck with Paula Young but got this n am pleased. ALSO, thankyou for all your reviews. You are my favorite n you are such a beautiful, believable lady. MAY God Continue to bless You

Danielle McDonald: As soon as you said heat friendly I was like noooooo. I've actually only had one heat friendly, I paid over $400 for it. It was a RW, my first wig, and I had no idea how to take care of it. No one told me anything about it...I bought it at a wig shop. It was gorgeous...for one week! After that it was a disaster and felt like needles on my scalp. It was flirting with fashion which, I think, is shorter than this one. Since then I swore I would never get another heat friendly. However.....it's been 9 months now and I have learned so much maybe I'll give it another try. This one is beautiful ❤️❤️❤️. Thanks so much!

Sherry Flowers: I have this wig in the same color . $60 compared to hundreds from other brands - easy decision. Good quality too.

cc: U look nice in kinda light colors!!! My favorites are the medium toasty brown or Reds on you!!!!. I think you could wear anything!!!❤.

Cindy Smith: Beautiful on you girl!

Mary Ellen Libonati: This wig Otis perfect on you. I have dance in buttered toast and the roots are so dark. Darker than yours. I would love to see Babs try this. I can’t believe the quality and density.

Carol Muse: Thanks for showing this color outside,it makes a huge difference.

Kathy Solomon: Looks good on you! I have this wig!

Marie S: Thank you for the clip idea. I have the Jamie Lynn but i feel like it looks like a helmet on me. I will try out my little clips. Thank you.

Clara: Very very nice Denise your videos are always full of information so helpful thank you

lil poohbear: not my favorite...but you always do great reviews:) Thanks

Stephen Gouvion: Super color and style on you and even outside it is great! (by Sue)

Clair Ciaravino: Kinda of looks like tressallure Charlotte. Cute style for sure!

cc: Also, u loooook in short cuts!!! Great wig on u.

Linda p.p.: I am watching a PY wig I like. But, I have many good name brand wigs I love and most have backups so I do not NEED another wig right now. So, I am keeping an eye on the price. This wig was $69.99 when I first saw her. I keep getting notifications from them of sales. Well, it is now up to $109.99 so they can put it on sale and still get more money for it. I do not like this. I am not buying it. Watch out, wig watchers, PY is playing with their prices. I hope they are also adjusting their quality too for I sent the last three back for thin wefting in the back.

Stephen Gouvion: Do you get paid to do wig reviews, just curious! (by Sue)

Victorious Vikki: Jamie Lynn is super cute on you!!!

janie dee: Looks great on you but I got her and on me she is hideous and going back. The hair is winging in every which direction and past my shoulders I think she was labeled wrong. I'm so sad because I was so looking forward to her. She looks like a fright wig!

janie dee: Wish you'd done a straight out of the box review and maybe put the sides toward the front as an option.

MoodyGirl Beauty: Super cute on you!!!

Yvonne: That is perfect on you

Lady Torres:

Blueberry Blues: Ps when people say the wig is HD can they be worn when cooking? I mean really cooking and baking? Some will say to step away from the oven upon opening it. But what is a girl to do if she cooks professionally? Really sick of wearing a babushka or scarves. Thanks.

cc: Gooood)

Jan: I like the paula young wig better.

Jeannie Cawley: The paula young return and exchange policy is horrible!
