How To Temporarilytone The Color Of A Synthetic Wig

I got this tip from mrsfuzzypeach.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLgJM9i...

I bought 2 colors of the Roux Fancifull Temporary Hair Color Mousse to tone the color of my synthetic wigs. Easy and affordable!

Hey everyone, it's me again and I am going to play around with my wig. That is very ashy. Hmm, I think it looks almost green. Sometimes in certain lights, it's just a little too ashy for me. So let's go ahead and play: let's uh see what we can do with the roof: fancy full mousse and directions our shake well before using apply on clean towel, dried hair, I'm gon na play it on dry, hair first and then I'll spray it down. If I need to, I can must be held upside down, dispense, desired amount on to palm of hand and distribute evenly throughout the hair, with both hands, comb or brush do not dilute and do not rinse. So here we go folks, I didn't have the can really upside down, but here's frivolous fun. Like I said I had a lot of experience with this color in beauty school. We would allow the clients to bring in their rinse if they wanted if they had one, and we would apply it at the shampoo ball when we shampoo them. Those of course for our elderly clients and it could sign your hands. But it won't come off because it's just a temporary, so I'm just just brain a little bit with water and this time turn it upside down cuz. I don't want to mess up my can and at Leslie's she charged eight dollars for each of these. I have no idea what they would cost in your area. I check at your local Beauty Supply, I'm not sure if Sally carries the root color but Sally might now. I don't know that I'm gon na put this all over. You know or try to get it completely through the whole wig. I just wanted to kind of change the tone a little bit from it being so ashy blonde to a little warmer, and I think we've accomplished that. No, I don't know how long this is gon na take to dry, because this is a synthetic wig. Maybe I'll use my hairdryer on the cold setting I've done that before with my synthetic wigs and as long as you keep it on the cold setting you're. Okay, you know you have the cool setting and then you should have the button or added. Well, I don't know how much of a difference this makes. It still looks kind of a skew to me, but it's also wet, and you know the lighting in here. Isn'T the best I apologize for that? But it's you know 4 o'clock, and so it's dark outside because that's what happens when you live this far north cuz? We do so and then, when you shampoo your wig or your hair, you want to do this to tone. Your hair, you can certainly do that when you shampoo, it will come right out and as long as it doesn't get wet, it really probably shouldn't transfer on to your pillow. Although I don't know from personal experience, I've like I say, I've only used this in the salon on clients when I was in not in the salon but in beauty, school and so si came off and I did put a bag on underneath because I didn't want To get my mannequin head stained or not stayed, but you know colored, so I just put the Cosmoprof bag over at the top and yeah. So I think that made it a better color oops. I'Ve got a little bit of my finger there, so pretty cool and I will um. I will link burnell's video that she had done and she had the silver lining. That'S what she used on her wigs that were too gold. So and I have some, what is it twenty-seven 613 wigs come in a couple of those and so an anticipation of that, maybe being a little too apricot, color silver one. So, okay guys! Well, I will let you guys know how it looks once it's dried and sewing in my wefts into my physical box wing and I'm gon na show you what I look like with my new blonde curly wig on, so you guys could probably get a laugh, but I thought it was kind of fun. I thought maybe I'll even wear it to work tomorrow and surprise everyone, although I think I'm you know, I know, I'm the only stylist who's working Janet might be doing nails but at least surprise my clients, so well anyway, thanks from them so much for watching. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I'll get back to you as soon as I can, and thanks for now is a great idea. Bye,

Beadedornot: Genius! I got a wig in Mochachino & it had a lot of blonde highlights (like platinum) up front. W/my olive skin tone I feel I couldn't rock the wig. I also couldn't return it & otherwise like the wig. I tried the Fanciful in Brown & it really balanced out the colors. It looks so much better.

The Magic of Wigs: Can't wait to see what the results look like. Please show us . Hugs, Cindy

Raizel M: The Roux-Fanciful rinse def does get on your pillow if you get night sweats or have naturally sweaty scalp. I would expect the foam is no different.

CeeCee Brown: Ooh wow I am looking to color my synthetic wig, and saw this method on google. I am sooo glad to see someone I know I can trust using this method. I can't wait to try it stay tune for a shoutout

Loving Life: Love the idea? How easily does it wash-out? Would it drip on your clothes in the rain?

Penlady5: Junbug Do you have a followup video that shows if this worked or not and you wearing it? Thanks for this idea! I have been almost tormented trying to find the right dark blonde for me. Now I can get lighter colors and use this on them!

Christina Link: I started using this mousse product on my own real after after coloring it. My own hair color is a drab brown and very resistant to color... when I brought it to blonde, it would still have a brassy edge. The mousse eliminated that and made the blonde fabulous!

junbug1029: No, I haven't seen it. I don't think it will perform the same on synthetic hair as it would on human hair, as far as the porosity and the longevity as a semi or demi permanent color. It sounds like a great product for human hair though. Thank you for the information. xoxo Joan

lucy liu: Hi. I am interested in highlighting my synthetic wig. The base is medium brown with light  golden highlights. I want to add honey blonde. Will Fanciful Rioux work and if so, what color would I use?  Thanks...

Pebbles: I just got a topper that is too blonde in the back.  It was expensive and I'm not sure if I can return it. If not, I'm going to give this a try. Thanks for this, hopefully I won't need it!

junbug1029: Hi Cindy, Will do! xoxo Joan

carol nicholson: thankyou I didn't think mousse would actually dry on wig I sent for a lovely curly wig but didn't look like the colour online it was more like a dirty blonde than a reddish blonde so will try to colour it using mouse .

Kristen225: that's actually my color!! So hard to find wigs that color :(

Beadedornot: Thx for sharing!

carol nicholson: do you just leave mousse on wig or rinse wig after if not rinse will wig actually dry without rinsing ?

ShesThe1yup: i want to make a fairly red wig a faded looking red/pink. someone mentioned putting it in the sunlight it is synthetic. any ideas? what would bleach do?

Take Control Beauty: What about the spray colors not mouse??

Judy Anne: Would this come out if you were in the rain?

Earthling 🌱: Perfect, I'm going to be Jeffery Dahmer for Halloween and the wigs way too light.

Marcell DelCorpo: Well? How did it turn out why wouldn't you put that at the end of the video?

Christina Knapp: Man you are really rough on your wigs
