Hey welcome back to my channel another week another wash hour. My name is nicole. I started the 30 day, hair detox in january of 2021, so the purpose of my hair videos is to just document my progress with applying the simple hair care techniques of cleansing, conditioning and styling my hair every week. This is like a four or five day old wash and go whoops. It'S a twist out, not a wash and go. Why do i say four or five days oops? Please see the previous video um for my explanation on that, but i know that i'm sorry, if you're new here welcome if you're not new, here welcome back and i cleanse condition and apply my topper gel my base gel for my wash and go while i'm in The shower and then i come back out here and style, my hair, so this is a twist out, so i know that my hair is going to be a little more difficult to detangle after i've had a twist out or braid out. So i'm going to take my time with my shampooing and conditioning and detangling process today, a little longer, maybe like a minute or two not like 30 minutes so yeah. I plan to do my hair in a washing go today. So what else was i gon na? Tell y'all so i'm going to cleanse my hair. I do all-purpose shampoo, then a moisture, poo, moisture, conditioner, detangle and then add my base gel and i come out here and add all my topper products. If you don't know what a all-purpose shampoo is versus a cleansing shampoo protected at protected by lisa on instagram, she does a good explanation, brief explanation of that, but the bless the best place to get that information where i got it from is when i was in See some curls resource that was made is made by. I am black girl, curls and so all my foundational things i've learned to simplify and improve my natural hair care. I got from them so check the description box below for those the links to. I am black girl, curls social media, and so, if you see if you would like to learn more from a professional standpoint, then i would encourage you to visit that resource. So i'm going to cleanse condition and apply my base gel and i'll, be back here to style, hey y'all, so i've cleansed with all-purpose shampoo, then with moisture. Poo then condition with my moisture conditioner and i have my ufd and plenty of water in my hair. This is my lavender sage, essential oil lip balm, so it's got beeswax and coconut oil and shea butter and cocoa butter in it and actual essential oil. So that's my my fav of the day head to lavishcoco.com to get you some use the discount code below. If you want to, if you want to say no, i don't want to get a discount. I want to support her business at full price. That is awesome of you, and i appreciate you because sometimes i feel that way. If someone has like a really good product, i'm like girl, you got ta, give me no discount i'll pay. You full price, because i appreciate you, so i appreciate you for appreciating me um, so also right, the best time to apply like a moisturizing topper to your skin, like a body butter which i do have yeah body butter or some people, don't like the thickness of A body butter you know, everybody's skin is different. Some skin can't handle that well um. I today used my vanilla sugar lotion, shea butter lotion as on my skin today, because you know you already got the water in your skin from bathing and then this can help. You know seal that in plus you can smell like delicious vanilla all day or you could smell, like sweet nectar, hibiscus or you could smell like black, raspberry, vanilla and also have a lavender. I don't have it here. I ain't gon na go, get it either one! So buy one buy them all. Just a two ounce size and i do plan to have four and four and eight ounces, so have a look at lavishcoco.com, www, dot right and that's my products. Those are my products for today i actually use them. So i hope you enjoy using them too. I enjoy making them too. Just like i enjoy enjoy baking. I find all my skills. You know lend themselves to each other. You know i like sewing. That'S math accounting is math, baking is math. Like i like math, i, like you know, being able to calculate things, put recipes together, make things my own back to my hair. So i told y'all that i anticipated my hair being more tangly during this whole shampooing process, because it was so. It was tangly like on this side. I had to like stop because it wasn't such that i could like pull it. Apart with my fingers, i felt like it was about to form a knot, and i was like we're not cutting out knots. We don't we're not doing that over here. Okay, we're gon na try to stop it before that happens, anticipate it and like gently pull it apart, so i was able to gently pull it apart and i was very slow going through my hair because i anticipated you know if you go too fast, and you Know you got snaggles you just gon na make them worse, so oop pull it apart. Try to pull it gently, pull it apart. So that happened a lot with my hair today. So let me know in the comments: do you find if you mainly wear your hair and wash and go? Let me start with that. Do you find that when you're going from a twist out or braid out, especially a twist out back to a wash and go when you're shampooing and finger detangling your hair before you tool, detangle it with the conditioner on it, are you do you find that your Hair is a lot more more snaggly, i'm a ninja yeah. I just caught this pile before the floor. Uh yeah. I do so that's another reason i prefer wash and goes because like overall i'm finding the way i do my wash and go it just like makes my overall like hair care process, so much easier. So to my toppers, if you want more information right, i'ma say it again about you know what toppers i use and then why i use them the way i use them for real. They like slaying it really well over there and i'm just showing you how i've taken, what i've learned and just like made it my own right, like i'm, enjoying looking at product labels now and knowing um. What ingredients mean? What like i've learned that ingredients like polysorbate, 80, polysorbate 60 or like stearic acid? You see that a lot in like lotions or creams, those are like binding agents, because you know water and oil don't mix so that um ingredient, it's a chemical. But it's from plants um helps bind them together. So you get your you know. This is water oil in here and you blend it up and it keeps it together, make it all nice and fluffy, or you know, jelly for your um other things like this. What'S this guy doing i'm trying to look yeah so look up, not just the ingredients but like what they're used for so you can start recognizing ingredients as you're looking at labels, so you can be like. Oh that's just a binder. Oh, that's just this and then other things you're like. Oh, no, pvp, that's plastic! I want plastic in my hair. That'S how i look at labels, okay, but for real to my toppers. So i'm gon na separate my hair into four sections. I'M i'm just enjoying being a slightly more educated consumer do even if it didn't smell good. I would love it because of what it does for my hair, but it's just a plus that it smells deliciously amazing to me, and i used to just do one pump per side. I'Ve been doing like a pump and a half per side lately, and now i'm gon na just work it all these through my hair, see that i'm like t-minus right whatever. That means maybe like three weeks out for when i'm gon na get my maintenance cut. I need to turn on the fan. It'S gotten warmer right. It went from being 50, 40 or 50 degrees here to now it's back up to like 70 79, my thermostat don't know. What'S going on, you hate to go back and forth between the air and the heat like, but i'm i'm hot. This is like the same process. I do with the shampoo and conditioner on my hair. I work it through. Well, i put it on my hair like like this, and then i start working it through like this and then i poop in the shower spray. Add more water like that much more more boop like that! Okay, work it through some more - and i do this as long as it takes till like the product is work through my hair, but also there's not so many. You know snagglies as i go through still kind of like pre post, i'm post detangling, my hair, because i already tangled it with a tool in the shower. So this is like doing it again, because i've applied the product to my hair. See that that's what i want, not that many snapples you know in the back, you saw that it was like bang, bang, bang, i'm going to be like yay, oh so much better! So you know level of snag yep. So much better! All right! It'S worth all! This effort y'all and i think i'm gon na muster up the strength. I don't know what i'm gon na watch while i do it because i already did my bible reading for the day and i was watching colombo last night though so i might revisit that all right. That'S good see! That'S just a little bit. That'S fine boop yay! So, let's section this into four sections and i go, how am i going so i'ma think i go here and here and i go here and here that's just how i've been doing it so and i also love like the way this product coats, your hair for The wash and go, and it's all like sudsy and luscious feeling like i've, grown to just love that and miss it when i'm doing twist, outs and stuff. Because and even if you notice on my previous video when i do my twist out and when i put foam through my hair, you'll notice like it starts shrinking back up very quickly, but here because it's full of water product and elongation, it's heavy. So it's like weighing it down and making it retract shrink up slower. So that's another thing: i love about the washing glue. I'Ve come to love, and i also want y'all to remember right, because my videos are to encourage you that this method, this method, this technique, this simple hair care, works that it works long term and to encourage you to keep. You know keep going so don't make negative comparisons, like my hair's. Not doing that, i wouldn't advise you to say yet, or you know can, can it always go back to my sister right. We just got different essential elements of my hair of our hair and uh. Hey her hair does a thing. Mine does another thing. We both appreciate each other's hair. So, let's be more positive about our hair and i'm not focused so much on what it can or won't do one have you: how long have you tried to get it to do a thing um? Where are you getting your like advice and instruction from because you know, professional care does have a place and professional experience. So i still know this is um. I'M like a couple weeks shy of a year since i started the 30-day hair detox and i was six months applying those the things i learned from them before i had my appointment with my tight curl specialist. So i'm six months partner with a tight curl specialist and three maintenance cuts in that's what see stop that's where i am so. You know compare apples to apples, so you saw that spring up like that. That'S that's how i want to be so. I'M gon na have to attach it to a bigger piece of hair and hopefully that'll help it stay down because ain't. Nobody told to do that. Come on, come on so cute. Look how it telephone corded! Look at you, okay, i'll! Let you stay like that. All right moving on, i like, though, that, even though my even when my hair frizzes it it frizzes in the style - and you know still in a shape, so i can still make it make a shape, make it do something and a lot of times when i'm, Like thinking my hair, don't look that great, because why would i expect you know day six hair to look as good as they want here? That'S not realistic! Somebody'S like your hair, looks great today and i'm like. Oh thank you. I guess i can make it another day, then. Sometimes our toughest judges ourselves need somebody to say: hey, you look, okay, all right, thank you and be patient with your hair. You can get mad at her or him or it. You know. I don't know how you personified your hair, but uh it's gon na do what it does. So it's just like you know, trying to punch the wind or something just try to figure out how to best work with your hair. I'M just glad wash and go's are working for me and they've become so second nature to me so simple to do consistent, um, you know results, i'm getting and fine with knowing that i'm going to use the two type of cert. You know two topper gels and an anti-humidity anti-frizz product to get my hair to look like. I want it to look every week. That'S gon na stand up to the rain, the wind um. What other things happen in the way? That'S what we mainly deal with here. You know hurricane not really tornadoes here, we're mostly hurricanes. I mean tornadoes are more north of us like montgomery area, uh, georgia, atlanta, they get, they get tornadoes, but not so many we get tornado warnings sometimes but they're, really, not that that common, but mainly wind and rain and humidity, um and heat, is what i i Deal with on a regular basis with my hair, so i figured out my combo that works best for that week after week. So not much experimentation going on over here, just enjoying retaining length right that i'm growing and working so hard to take care of and enjoying the the definition. I'M able to consistently get every week enjoying being able to have my hair cut and it's tight in its curly state, which is what i was looking for, but i didn't know um even this community, that this community - i am black girl, girls, even existed where people Were being trained to uh, specifically, it's a specialty style cut, tight, curly, hair care for it simply and awesomely yeah. So once i set my hair and i go out and it's going to be windy or raining, you know ruin my whole day's plans because it's like okay, what day, oh my hair can stand up to a little bit of misting today, but we might want to Take our umbrella, but just it's not gon na ruin. You know the whole the whole style. So yes, uh partnering, with a tight curl specialist, jumped my technique: progress ahead by leaps and bounds. Since my first appointment and every appointment, i've learned just a little bit more right, as i share with you that that can help me. But at a certain point it's just going to be like hey, you still doing a good job all right. Let'S get this maintenance cut on here, but you know come on and uh all right, you're doing great thanks, you're great too okay, bye! That'S almost how the last appointment was until right, because y'all know like one of my goals, is to get a color to get dimensional color, even though i know that that's a ways out before my hair is ready to get color the way i want to get Color, because, right now my focus is growing my hair out evenly that look that i'm still. If i come across a picture and i like how the color looks, i'm finding that i, like dimensional color, i don't like just one color. I, like the colors, i see where it's like two or three colors, i'm leaning toward uh, coppers and blondes um for my color. I don't want to be blonde blonde, though i want to be like a reddish blonde, so i don't. You know i'll defer to my colors about that. So y'all can follow me through my journey with hair color as well. We'Re liking the smaller sections over here. We don't care that it takes more time because that's how we want the hair to to turn out so good job breaking and smoothing has gotten so much easier, as my hair has got more hydrated, so i'm just still just excited for all these. You know coming up on a year since i started this journey and not having any. I didn't have any expectations, because it's something i've never done before right, so my expectations were to just see what happened. So things have been happening and it's awesome been awesome. For my hair, you know you used to be a strictly satin, bonnet, satin, scarf girl and now i'm finding that i don't like the weight of it on my ears anymore. So now i'm more partial to my hair buff. But if i were to get, i don't know, does the hair both work with braids, because you know i will get braids one day and i'm wondering with the same method work if i just put the buff on and slip on my hair depending on how long They were have any of y'all had braids, and how did you? How did you? What did you? What do you just have your hair at night? If you use anything to type your hair, do you still use the hair buff, or do you do a satin scarf with that or a bonnet, because usually when i would get braids like the whole year? When i look back at my pictures before i start the 30 day, hair detox child - i didn't even realize it - i was just trying to make it. I did like mostly protective styles that whole year calling myself growing my hair, and so it's basically it's been a year and i haven't had any artificial hair in my head. That'S new and uh saying that to say when i did have braids wear braid, i would tie my hair up like my edges, apart with a satin scarf and then put a satin bonnet over that i'm laughing in my head, because i'm thinking about when i first Went to tyranny and she did like such small sections breaking a smooth in my hair, and i was like oh she's, a professional. I don't have time for that and i'm like why don't i have time for it y'all i used to spend eight 10 12 hours. Putting braids in my own hair right, i have the time for what i want, so this is not taking that long. So why can't i take a little more time and do the smaller sections, but that's just where my thoughts were at the time. I'Ve. You know i've developed more muscles, my hair has progressed and all that so i mean i'm in a different space. Now, where i'm like nope the smaller sections. That'S how i get get the results i want, so i don't have to do them, but i also don't have to have my hair look the way i want either. Do i also what happened when i made that choice out to do bigger sections right, but also to not apply? My topper gels like i've been doing. Y'All saw how that turned out. Oh, i like it. I do want to talk to the design. Whoever makes the bottles for uncle funky's daughter, because i'm to the bottom of my big bottle right and i've been having it's a lot of product left in there. But it's not pumping out and i've been having to like unscrew the top, and you know pour it out my hand versus pump it, and i would like to ask, is you know, is there some kind of design thing you could do so i don't have to Do that you know with the next bottles just think about it yeah i did not intend to be talking to y'all, while i did my whole hair today, but it looks like that's what's happening, so it's been a while. Why not? Let'S just do it all together. It'S okay, i understand if you got ta fast forward through parts, get those fingers in there from the root, don't be scared from the roots to the ends see. I still need some have some growth to do just take some time and warm this up. Since it's been sitting like pre-pre shellac, my edges, we know where the parts going let's go ahead and do the part okay, i'm gon na. Do it like right there yep. So while i know i have the time today, that's why i'm taking the time to be so diligent with my raking and smoothing some days. I don't have time of the time i would like, so i have to decide. Do i want to spend the time i have majority of it styling my hair, or do i need to spend it under more under the dryer right? So if i know i need, i want to spend 40 minutes under the dryer, then okay, i don't have as much time to rake it and smooth it, but if, like today, i got time to rake in and smooth it center dryer whatever i need to do, Then i'm taking that time next time it could be different, like i think, the time before the twist out yeah, my hair did pretty good, but i i had so much time. I decided to focus on the raking and smoothing and then i only had maybe 20 to 30 minutes to center in the dryer before i had to go out and do things which was enough to dry the outside of my hair but yeah. Okay, it's better! If you have time to, you can make time to do the whole thing you know, spend the time raking and smoothing and then also spend the time drying she is doing so good today do do. Can i tell y'all something um when i sit under the dryer and i don't like the air blowing in my eyes and i've been trying to think of something? What can i do about that like? What can i put right that won't won't disturb my set? So if y'all have any suggestions, uh, you know comment below. I think i just have sensitive eyeballs and even when i i'm i'm grateful for my high density hair, because when i used to have relaxers and stuff and go to the the hairdresser, um she'd have to put like tissue around my ears, because the dryer would be Burning my ears, warm it up yeah. So if you did used to spend, you know four five, six eight hours on wash day on your hair and you're switching to this simpler method. Well, don't we have that that same time we allotted then to spend less time doing this now i should name each quadrant of my hair right, because i'm telling y'all this side that did pretty good. This is different from this right. This is different from this. This i think i have like five five um, what you call it curl pattern: quadrants in my hair and like three surface texture, quadrants three surface textures do but starting one two rows down. I could feel where my um, where it starts to kind of frizz, been frizzing. I could feel the difference in like the density and the surface texture. So it's just a different kind of thing going on in that section, so i'ma stick beside it, but i'ma uh. Definitely um tell tyranny what i've noticed to see what she um thinks about. What to do. You know how to treat it to get the best. The best results, all right, we'll split this into two: that's working good. If your product ain't flopping your set, may not be popping, i'm just saying i kidding, i: can we all seen that movie stand and deliver that's what the um edward james almost character. They called him kimo the teacher he would always say just kidding just kidding. I mean just: is that like it's like they fighting up there, all the time like some siblings? That'S always fighting! That'S how that section of my hair is or, let's not say, they're fighting. Let'S just say they love each other. That section loves each other a lot and don't want to be separated, let's be positive about it, but it feels more like you know, they fight me and i have to separate them versus they don't want to be. Do y'all see that so we're gon na just take our time and work it out all right, that's good! Okay! Yay we did it. We only lost a couple strands of hair that probably needed to come out anyway. So oh yay do yay. We did it all right. All right, put it dryer high heat, an hour, we're going to try to make an hour and a half, maybe we'll split the difference like an hour and 15 minutes. So i'm probably gon na like grab a snack something to drink, set up my tv tray and have a nice drying time. So i will yeah i'll probably come back when i'm done so i can show y'all how much it dried and, if i feel like, i need to go in with a diffuser at my roots, so see when i get back and while i'm drying my hair, you Know if you haven't already click the subscribe button, i appreciate the effort you extend to do that and i'll see you in a little while hello. Thank you for all of you who took the time the couple seconds to hit the subscribe button if you've already hit it. Thank you so much for you know my frequent watchers and for supporting my channel. I sat her in the dryer for like an hour and 35 minutes and let's see what it looks like in here, but first, let's see what it looks like you know in the back. What'S going on here, that's pretty dry, considering all the product that was on my hair now i do know right. The dryer is blowing on my hair, but with all these density and stuff it can be harder to get to these bottom point parts. But this is pretty dry. I thought i was gon na might have to have to yeah. That'S pretty wet go in what you would think. This side would be wetter because it's more hair over here, but i might still go in with my diffuser for about 10 minutes before i go. Grocery shopping run some errands today, um just i mean fyi. I'Ve been looking at uh because it's just just two of us in our home that live here, and so i found a pound cake recipe that was just supposed to be two servings that i tried out yesterday and it turned out really well so i started looking At this website called dessert for two that has supposedly no, it does has a lot of recipes for, if you just want to make like smaller portions of mainly desserts, but also like entrees and stuff, and i also have just been looking for, like smaller portion cake. So i found a recipe that i like for a like: a six inch size, german chocolate cake which i've never made german chocolate cake period. But i'm excited to do that, but i don't have evaporated milk. So i need to go get that from the store to make the like. You know the coconut picani part caramelly butterscotch, whatever you want to call it, and i also need to pick up some other things like flanks. I want to make fajitas for dinner today, because i got a bunch of different colored peppers. We have purple and green ones from our garden and then i got a bag of peppers from costco. That'S green peppers, orange and yellow. So i plan to make steak fajitas for dinner and yeah some other things. I need to do business-wise as well, so i will probably diffuse mainly this side because you saw was way more foamy on this side than this side um my hair, for i give myself a good ten minutes to diffuse it because i think it dry it dry. Pretty well like this back part just right at the roots, it's wet, but all this part is dry and then i'll go about and run my errands and then once i finish my errands at the end of the day, if i feel like i need to hit It again or dry some more then i will thanks for watching and i'll, either see you later after i, after the end of the day after i've diffused my hair or i'll, see you on day, two hello, all welcome to my day, two hair and day two Is a good day look. She moves i'm. Once again, i've been telling y'all about my struggles with uh this side. This part right here, so i noticed even from when i said it. Last night, you know, i went to sleep woke up this morning that if you can see this part right here has shrunk up a whole lot from where it was yesterday right. So that's just one of those things i'm observing about my hair, how it behaves so that i can be double triple sure that when i do go to my stylist appointment, if i can we'll see how this pandemic goes, that i can let her know that this Part just tends to shrink up a whole lot, so it needs to be longer um cut when you know when it's cut to not to do something to accommodate that. But overall the smaller sections are where it's at my hair does have some machine nice not shine. That wasn't the goal. Oh, my lip color is boss, lady by the lip bar. So if y'all decide to go by and then my cheeks are the their palette with like the the contour, the blush the highlight and the powder stay ready, i think that's what mine is called but yeah day two i did wake up. Like i told y'all it's hot for winter right, you got up to like 80 yesterday and so um. My hair was damp when i woke up this morning. So when i took the buff off, i didn't just immediately go in and try to like pull my hair down. I just shook it out, and just did it like this and just slowly kind of let it do its thing. Um someone unduly disturbed my set right because when i went to bed it was like 95 dry. Tell you that yeah, because i've got my dryer set up now, it's got wheels on it. I think i linked it below and i just put it up in the living room where i can watch tv so yesterday evening when i was um watching hanging out with hubby. You know watching tv after i cook dinner um i was we were watching tv and i said why not just sit under the dryer a little while longer since i'm just sitting anyway, and i did i didn't time how long i sat under there. I just kind of here separated my hair was still damp here, so i did it like that and maybe like here. So i did it like like that, and just tried to open it up, so the dryer could get to the parts that were still damp and that worked really well, i didn't go back in with the diffuser right i mentioned after i was under the dryer for About an hour and a half yesterday, then i then spent 10 minutes diffusing my roots and then later on. In the day, let's say i spent saturn in the dryer for like 30 more minutes, while i watch tv in the evening, so smaller sections are the smaller sections are worth it um. I have them for the movements for um, making the shape stand out better right for the the overall look that i like to have so for me, it's worth the time and the effort, and we will see how see even this little roll part. It'S not shrunk up, it's kind of out of it's doing a thing, but i'd rather do that than this right. So that's where we are that's how i try to get my hair. You know be all on the same page. Even here see how that's all like this right, you even can still see the rose where i break and smooth it. But here you can see how this is a little longer, and this is kind of on point with this. But when you get right here right, you see how it shrunk up more and it doesn't come all the way down to to here with the other ones right. So it's like making a little hole so yeah and then, when i do the next round see this is kind of this is kind of more on point with this, but this is even shorter, so we need this to. You know not be doing that, but that's what i want to do. So it's just like a little coarse pocket, coarser pocket right here. So we need to do something about takeout all right. Okay, it's all part of the process. I still love it figuring it out. So i will see you on day: three: hey welcome to day three hair, so we still have some movements right. We have. This part is still doing a thing, but it's not like full-on frizz, no definition right. So after almost a year since i began the 30 day hair detox, it is safe for me to say that this is my go-to set, not in like the whole process right. So for me, what i've discovered? What works best for my hair is all-purpose shampoo. You know wet your hair really well with water and start separating it. First of all, this is my process. All-Purpose, shampoo, then moisture, shampoo, then moisture. Conditioner, then detangle with the conditioner on then apply. My base gel then come out here apply my copper gels um. I i blanked uh intercepts and mop top and then on top of that, papaya slip work it through from there. I have to rake and smooth my hair in smaller sections to get results like this to get my definition, um like this to get the movement and more curls throughout my hair. So this is where i like it. This is where we gon na be, and so i may try uh different, still try different styles, as i want to write twist out spray doubts, but my main go-to styling choice is going to be wash and go following that process and using those products. I checked. Trepadore'S website again today, y'all they still are taunting me with that 35 off sale, knowing that they are sold out of papaya slip and um. I know some of y'all like to use the bamboo ginseng. I'Ve never used it, but i know y'all like to use it sold out of those things so, like i say, taunting me because i'm like they know full well, that's what people want. That'S what we want. I know they know that. That'S why they sold out. So why they having a sale, they don't have what i want. Okay, i mean i'll pay full price, but it'll be nice to get 35 off. Okay, okay, but, yes, so definition definition all through, and this is day three. This is not resetting doing anything at night. Other than oh another thing for me making sure i sleep in a hair buff, but the way i pull my hair buff on my hair, i've noticed that too makes a big difference. So when i bring my buff down around my neck and pull it up, i need to make i make sure i pull it more straight up than more up than back and that works really well for me, because my hair is more tightly coiled right around my Ears around here, so that helps elongate it and keep it from like smushing prematurely. So that's where we are with movements right like this. Like this, what you say you know how, when you get, you know a new new weave, new hair, new ponytail, whatever your hair is all moving and you're like huh, don't hurt your neck, so we got the movement. We got it after a year, right, third day, hair detoxing six months with my tight curl specialist. I feel confident that this is where we are. This is what's best for me and abigail working together and i'm gon na take the time it takes to do this. As much as i can, you know some days, you need to reset your hair, you just don't have the time, but i'm going to really try to make the time to set my hair like this and hopefully i'll easily, make it to eight days right five days. If i work out, if i'm not really working out like that, then eight days is very feasible thanks for watching. I will definitely see you happily on day. Four, hey welcome, happily to day four hair. Before i forget today's lip color is underrated by fenty beauty yeah. I know i love liquid lipstick, so actually, let's touch it up a bit, almost all the lipsticks that i love are liquid. I just like that liquid lipsticks, so that's the one i chose for today but yeah, so my hair is still starting to frizz right here. In this section, but because i've raked and smooth you see it i've raked and smooth in smaller sections, then it's not like so noticeable as it was before, or just be like one side of my head, smushed and the other side just defined so raking and smoothing In the smaller sections helps i'm still attributing this to how i sleep, i sleep mainly like like this y'all, i mean whether my hands are in my head or not. This is me, stimulating like this, the pillowcase, even though it's a sample pillowcase, even though my hair isn't above this, is this the main. This is the main side i sleep on, so even if i sleep whether i sleep directly on my side or on my back, i'm still like leaning this way, that's how i wake up anyway, i tend to favor this side, so i mean that's just what's going On right now, in addition to right this side, not being as long as this side, okay, but as you can see even over here, it hasn't started to to frizz out like that. It still very much has nice, nice definition so yep, so i'm still gon na say even under here right doing so good, not freezing out unduly so he's just gon na and a little bit of the probably the night, the night sweatsies it's okay and i keep Uh, it's in my mind to one day right: try getting a dry cut, but the thing about me what i enjoy is: i'm only going to see my stylist every three months i want to enjoy having my hair professionally washed. If i'm going to go all that far and pay her anyway, to have her wash my hair to have her condition my hair and to have her set my hair in the best way. So she can give me the best cut on my hair, not just for the shape, but also for getting off my my den ends right for trimming, my hair, the best the trim, as well as the cutting it into the shape, so thinking about getting a dry Cut, but not likely to do it on this next visit that i've already booked for the full service, but that could change right. So thanks for watching my progress on my day, 4 hair, i will definitely see you on day five. As you know, this will definitely continue to shrink and frizz and i'll definitely work with it. Until i can't stand it anymore, see you on day, five hello, welcome, uh, happily, to day five hair. We are still enjoying this set. The fight, despite the frizz setting in here you could you can't really tell if i hadn't pointed it out to you right. So my hair is still damp from exercising today, because i exercise with my hair in the hair buff and then i let it out, and so the frizz is still very much there. But the smaller little coils are kind of it's blending in well, which is the important thing to me. You know don't be a patch of frizz and then throwing off like the whole set, because you want to be smushed to the head and the rest of hair is like loose and moving. I still have movement and we're just going to continue to be patient uh with this section and make sure i'm like two weeks out for my maintenance cut. I got a bow, bow. That'S acne, but um just be sure to communicate with my stylist um. With my cut very thoroughly so we can come to the best outcome for my haircut on the next visit right, so loving my hair make it more voluminous. I really like when it uh swells like this. I like how it looks awful and define diddy. So, who knows how my hair is going to look by the end of today as well as tomorrow, because, as i said right now, it's damp it's more malleable, but as it dries, i'm sure it's going to condense. So we'll see what happens tomorrow, which will be day, six yeah and then whatever's happening we'll see. If i can stand it long enough to make it to day seven or if i'm like, it's a wrap. My scalp's not itching um and i don't have you - know major frizz going on so y'all know those are my triggers to reset my hair, but we take it day by day and we'll see what happens tomorrow. I can't remember my lip color right. I might have to look it up. I know it's from bh cosmetics, but the sticker isn't on the lip color, and i can't remember what it's called sorry i'll see you on day. Six hello, all welcome. Happily, today's six hair we're still getting free, freakage shrinkage, see i was mixing up frizz and shrinkage and i got frankie child holding it. We still have some shrinkage and some frizz, but i'm also loving, that there's still some movement and i'm appreciating that all the work that i did in raking and smoothing my hair in the much smaller sections and taking my time to do that. It'S paying off because, even though you know you can see, we have frizz at the roots here and some of my mop top is flaking, because i mean it will. It will tend to do that. Um and the frizz is spreading it. It'S just blending in well with each other because of the the smaller raking and smoothing sections, and it's not like shrinking up around my ears, weird, which i hate, so i'm very much appreciating that we will definitely make it to day seven. I have not worked out on this hair yet, but i plan to work out on it. I'M trying to work out do like 30 to 30. Well, like 35 minutes a day and that's including like warm up and cool down just to get moving more because it could be so easy with the pandemic and with having to stay in more to just get um just be sedentary and um unintentionally. So i'm trying to just move more, even though i'm at home, my lipstick is curlfriend from the lip bar today, a nice neutral like pinky brown, malt color, and that's that's pretty much it um about. Let me say: t-minus, i'm about two weeks out for my maintenance visit. My maintenance trim that i'm very much looking forward to as always and i'm looking forward to not just the professional experience of you know having my hair washed and having a little hair pampering. But just communicating with my stylist about what i may have discovered about my hair. If i have any questions, um two things to run by her or if she's learned anything new that she would just like to share with me or if we don't have much to share with each other, and i can just enjoy getting my hair done. That'S fine too. Every experience doesn't have to be oh wow. It could just be hey, you're, doing great you're still being consistent. So let's just continue to be patient as this hair grows out. Thanks for watching i'll see you on day, seven hello, we've happily made it to day seven hair, i'm excited because we still got a lot of definition going on um, that's what we got going on. The flaking is the mop top. So i know some of you have tried mop top before and maybe didn't have a great experience, because maybe you didn't um it's a learning curve. I just want to say that so maybe the way you used it um wasn't in the best way to get the results you were looking for, because you know i don't know what y'all did. So i'm not judging i'm just saying, because if you look back through from where i started when i first started using it like, if you don't distribute it properly, if you don't have enough water in your hair like, if you don't do the layers, you know the Steps then remember: i used, i had like a big hunk of flake right here like day two like not hunk, but like a like a residue like it wasn't smooth properly, so it just dried. You know what i mean. So i've progressed to the point where i'm able to distribute it better because, as you see, this is day seven. This is after two workouts. Actually, my hair is still damp for my workout today, i'm actually a little perspiring a little bit, and so it was a bit of a learning curve. I didn't give up on it right, and so now i've got it to where i can distribute it through. My hair and use it in a way that it's not as many flakes but of course, as the water is evaporating out of my hair, as i'm going through the week, then you're you're seeing more flakes now. So i look this it's not dandruff, but you know i do it's not dandruff, so i do my product from the root to the end. So you see in the the mop top oh and she look at that. Little ringlet just sitting there being cute right, y'all, find these little these little gems in your hair and appreciate them see that's frizzy, but you got like one one little definition in here yeah, so my scalp is just starting to be itchy. I'Ve done two workouts like i said it's still damp up in here. It'S still damp up in here, and so i'm ready to reset my hair right. I got the robe on so this is the end. This is day seven here, thanks for watching, subscribing liking, commenting um today's weather um is sorry. You know you go to check one thing and then you end up saying you got an email alert. So there you go. Why got to check my email and see what the email is delete anyway? It'S currently 54 degrees uh, the humidity. We always got humidity here: 90 percent humidity today, okay, in the winter time, it's 53 degrees outside but 90 humidity. So that's the environment, my hair lives in and so looking forward to next wash hour, uh doing a little tweak to the washing, because i'm back to because i worked out, you know twice sweating in my hair and all that stuff. So i want to get my hair really clean for my next wash hour set and yeah always happy to pop in and let you know how my hair is doing and i hope your hair journeys are um. I hope you're approaching them in a way that you're having a positive attitude about it, even if things don't turn out the way you you might like them to to still be able to appreciate how your hair is improving by applying these simple hair care techniques, um. Just doing you have simple hair care, i mean that's what we want. Let'S leave complicated, you know in 2021, hair careless. Let'S embrace you know simpler, hair care. If you want definition, let's embrace that definition and i'm doing all, i can right to contribute to my hair. Having consistent definition retaining length, however fast it grows to retaining that length and having the healthiest hair possible. So thanks so much for watching - and i will see you on the next wash hour - have a great day.

miniminott48: I always watch the entire video so I really appreciated the full rake and smooth demonstration. No fast forwarding for me! When I look at your hair, I see healthy, hydrated hair. Your styling combo and technique are quite effective, allowing you to achieve consistent results with your wash and gos. Always a pleasure watching your videos and following your journey.

NatrulV: I am loving the buff for wash n go's right now too, especially since my twa is finally growing out. Had sisterlocks and used a knock off lock sock which was similar to a buff so I imagine it would also work well with individual braids. For crochet braids I prefer a big bonnet.

Nikka Andrews: Hey sis…and I do mean sis . I attend the Foxwood Cong. in Houston. It’s so refreshing to have my 2 faves on 1 channel, a fellow believer and natural hair. I’ve been using the 30 day detox method on my hair for a few months now and truly value you sharing your experience as well as knowledge with us.

1GoldenBreeze: I haven't done a twist out in years, but if I remember correctly I didn't have more tangles with a twist out than a WnG during the shampoo. Our essential elements are a little different but IDK if that is the reason for my experience. Although I admire it from afar, I'm not a member of the "patience of Job" club. There is no way that I could sit and do all the small parting, raking, and smoothing that you do. I need to be done with my WnG styling when I step out of the shower so I can dry it and be done.

Ossie R: I see all of your videos, they keep me focused on my raking and smoothing. I haven’t done a twist out yet. I’m waiting until I reach 1 year which will be in July.

KAM M: The sisters illustration too funny Thanks for sharing your progress & passion of different things. It helps people more than what you may know Oan your hair looks nice❣️

Juanita Robertson: Your hair looks amazing!

Ossie R: I’m going to try the smaller sections, it’s definitely worth it.

Kara Hughley: I chuckled at the fighting sisters analogy! My hair at the top is exactly the same.

phyllis combs: When I rake and smooth my hair it want lay flat it curls right back up could it be I am not using enough product

molovefive9: Please forgive me but Im at the part where you are putting your 1st topper on but I didn't catch what it was. I heard that the UFD was added in the shower. It looks like a foam (foamy). Thanks
