Hey everybody welcome back to tess's weight closet at wig studio one. Today, i'm going to talk about an older style by raquel welch. I have been curious about this. For years, this one is called tress. It'S in the color uh 1488 ss. Coming up. I purchased this style from wig studio. One with my own funds be sure to expand the description box below this. Video you'll find a link to this product where you can check out more details and pricing. If you have any question for us reach out to support at wigstudio1.com also, we are now introducing a new live chat feature from any product page on the wig studio. One website scroll down, hit, help you'll be connected with a live chat, so tres is so fun. It'S a medium to long length, curly a retro inspired super shag. I would have sold my soap for hair like this back in the early 80s. I just absolutely love it, but let's talk about this color real quick of this ss 1488. Now this is one of raquel welch's legacy styles. It is not heat friendly, it's the vibralight fiber, which is the regular kangalon synthetic and the color options on this style. There'S some that i have never even seen before and there's quite a few options as well. This one is a basically a medium gold blonde base shade with some pale gold blonde highlighting and a medium gold blonde root. So let's get down to the specs for tress, there's about a five inch, bang piece and it's it's rather curly. So to me i don't think it reaches five. I think it just scoots right around the eyebrow kind of back into the style. In fact, if you pull it straight down, it's just at eye level, so that to me looks more like three and a half to four inches um on the sides, though it kind of goes around the face and eyes with a little bit of fringe. So that probably reaches about five inches right there on the side, but it does stay out of the eyes very nicely and if you wanted to trim in a straight across bang, just something a little shorter, i think it would be. It would look great so from the crown to the tip of the hair in the back right around 16 inches. This has a ton of layering. I mean you see your first layers here on the crown and then there's another set of layers here and another set of layers here and then finally, one at the nape. So this is actually really light density, just because it's been so heavily layered. Each fiber is really fine as well, so it's very easy to wear. It doesn't feel heavy at all. It has a nice feathery light movement, so the curly texture is you just see large barrel curls that have been basically deconstructed through all this layering. So it's not a tight spiral, but it's enough of a big barrelly body wave just to give it some flips love it love it love it. I think this was well thought out for those that, like styles like this, this is definitely one to have in your wig closet. See now how this could a style like this could eventually give way to the mullet styles party in the front or business of the front party in the back. That kind of thing, because this kind of reminds me of the old mullets. But this is definitely a shag, and this is a completely open cap design by raquel welch, so be aware that there is a lot of permatease there's a ton of permatease. I say that because i want to get my point across that there is a lot of permatease. It'S spread out through throughout the entire cap, heaviest here on the crown area, but it carries through on the sides on the back and very very thick and heavy at the nape. It doesn't weigh the style down at all um, and i think the reason why they're getting away with such a fine texture and light density is because of that permatease propping up these layers and curl. Like i said, i think this style is just one that really can use this type an amount of permatease. It is very poofy, though, so if you are permatease and volume averse, this definitely would be one that you probably want to pass on. But if you enjoy these kind of retro inspired shag styles, who am i thinking of dolly parton - would love this style. I can see it with some beautiful earrings and some updos we'll play around with a little bit in the styling, but i mean you can see where it's just been taken down so much with this layering that it's a nice light easy to wear style. Now the the permatease will settle a little bit on the top as well, and i think you could probably shrink it a bit with the heat from your hand. Okay, so i'm going to do a spin and a walk for you. So you can see the scale of the length the movement of the hair even outdoors, so you can see the color better inside look at the cap for raquel welch's tress. This is a completely open cap. You'Ll see a beautiful velvet piece right there at the front. I find it to be very, very comfortable, there's a hidden weft there for a lot of good coverage. Some open wefts there at the top open west sides and back open ear tab with plenty of fiber spliced into that ear tab. It has a moderate stay plenty and it's very strong, an extended open, nape and velcro style adjusters. Now this wig here is completely average right out of the box um. I did not have to make any adjustments to fit a petite average circumference, so this style is right out of the box. I just basically gave it a shake. I set it on one of the mannequin heads here for a couple of weeks until i could get around to reviewing it, took it off popped it on um. Now this is one style that you do not have to designate a part on it. You can, if you want it kind of just, wants to separate there a little bit left of center. That'S typically how i part mine anyway, but you can part it anywhere. You want. So, let's try with glasses, okay, i'm getting my best and most secure fit. When i slip the arms of the glasses underneath the ear tab, there is a lot of permatease there that kind of pushes the glasses arm into the ear, and just i think it can slide around a little bit thanks. So much for joining me for a look at the raquel welch's dress in the color ss1488. We'Ll see you next time on taz's wig closet at wix studio, one! You

romantic horror: Thanks for doing this review, Taz. You've reminded me that I have 2 of these up in my closet. I'm going to get them out today and check out how they style digging my fingers into the permatease and fluffing the fibers. Yep, guilty as charged...I love an 80's shag!! I didn't know how to style these wigs, but thanks to you, I'll give it a go.

Maureen Christine: I think it’s absolutely adorable on you. And I actually have it LOL and don’t mind the permitees at all! It’s actually pretty fun hair!

dmcfad2: I think I had a similar one back in the 70’s. I used to get lots of compliments on my hair. I think it’s kind of cute.

MichelePearl: I love it! A real shake and go and will probably last a long time. Shags are making a comeback! And the length in the back is perfect. Olivia Newton John and John Travolta!

Nicole Orta: This was the very first wig I ever bought a couple years ago because it was so close to how I used to wear my own hair. It does have a lot of perma tease for sure! Loved it though!

Mary Dawn Pafford: Gals today didn't know what cute hair styles happened back in our disco, bell bottom, hip hugger lives. This still looks great to me! I had straight hair until perms made us all hair sisters!

Donna Roberts: Oh Taz, this is definitely an oldie but "goodie!" Just love the way it looks on you, absolutely adorable! Love all the different looks you could do with it as well. Thanks again for a great review and for showing us the versatility of styles we can achieve with just one wig.

Røbbin Le Mølk: CUTE!!! But I think the permatease would be just a bit overwhelming for me personally. Thank you Taz! Your videos always make me feel good

Michele KT: Absolutely adorable!! A bit of a throwback style but just so, so cute! It looks like it would be so easy to wear - no fuss - just put it on and go!

Deborah Cook: I love this one. This gives a great hair day for sure. Layers and curl, who could ask for more. Nice change to all the current beachy wave and straight styles that are so common right now. You look beautiful.

London Jean Semberg: I love this! The mullet is super trendy now 2021!

Amy Rutherford-Close: Good morning! Yes, SHE has a 70's vibe, I like it. ('Would have sold my soul")- I wanted straight hair with w/layers.Love the t-shirt.

Look Up and Marvel: You look so cute in this one Taz!! Thank you for mentioning the bangs. I'm smilin'

Patty Carosi: I love this one. So cute as always on you Taz. I will have to get this one for sure my list is still growing and my closet is becoming to small

Alena D: Yay! I've been curious for ages myself about this style! Shags are very in right now! Now I will definitely get it, thanks to you, Taz! ;) Always so informative, thank you very much!

D B: Wow! Looks amazing on you! I am fairly new to wig wearing and you have helped me so much! I love your reviews and you are my 'go too' before purchasing! Best wishes from the Highlands of Scotland xx

Debbie Freeman: So glad you did this one!! I was hoping it was coming - I love shag and growing up I adored Dolly Parton - still do lol xx thanks Taz xx

Mint: Hi Taz, I can sure see some ladies loving this. Or guys! It reminds me of dates to go dancing in my younger days! ❤️ Sharon xo

Suz: Such a beautiful wig, too long for me but looks stunning on you Taz

Connie Feltman: Well ... I did it! Bought it! Getting to see you wear it and talk about it really tipped me over the edge! lol Love Ya! And keep on doing what your doing! ❣️

WIG REVIEW CENTRAL: Hello Taz. I'm SO happy you reviewed Tress. I've always been curious about this style, but have not worn it. Your face shape is perfect for the style. You look like a teenager!

Jean Jacobs: Oh I love this one! She is definitely my kind of style. Love and blessings ❤

Brenda Augustine: Love this style and was ready to order it until I saw that it only comes in size average. That was a deal-breaker for me cuz I have a fat head and I need a large! It is very, very cute.

Carol B: So cute!! Looks easy. Always wondered about this one. Love her,! So natural and easy. Kind of a sister to Finn and EW Beach mono. Thanks for reviewing her,!!

Gloria Lagroon: Good morning Taz She's very cute on you. I have the one on my wish list notebook. It's super affordable as well. That's a plus for me. Have a wonderful day! ❤

DeDe Millikan: I love it! Looks so cute on you Taz!

Diana Wilson: Love this! It reminds me a little bit of Jon Renau Jessica! I'm going to need to try this one! Love my Jessica but this one seems to have a bit more layering from the top down and the sides seem a bit shorter on this one. You look beautiful, Taz! ❤

Jayne Read: So pretty, love it!

Shelly F: Such a cute style. Reminds me of a slightly shorter version of Farrah Faucett hair. Looks great on you. Thanks for the video review! Virtual hugs, Shelly

Monika's Beauty & Lifestyle: Tess is adorable and very reto indeed. I love it too and all those layers! Cute!

Candy Chand: Very cute. This reminds me of the “Gypsy” haircut—curly version— that was popular in the early 1970’s. I wanted this look when I was a teen, but my hair wouldn’t cooperate. I Love retro.

Sharon Steele: My mom wanted me to get a shag in the ‘70’s. I thought she was nuts for thinking I should cut my very long, straight hair, lol. We used to make rollers out of frozen orange juice cans to set out hair, or use an actual iron back in the day. Styling tools and wigs like Tress have brought us a long way, lol. You look adorable in this. I think I might like Tress as I like volume!

Adriana S: Hi Taz! Hope all is well with you and your family. I’m reaching out to you because I'm fairly new at shopping for wigs and since they are kind of pricey, I always try to make sure, as much as it is possible, that when I buy a new wig, it will be the right style and color for me. I really enjoy watching your videos and wig reviews. You always provide tons of information and I can literally find any wig that I’m considering buying when I search in your channel. I also love that you do color comparisons which it is a huge help to me because that's usually the hardest thing to figure out when shopping for wigs online. I saw your review of the Jon Renau California Blonde colors and I was wondering if you could give me your opinion on which one of those colors is closer to the Raquel Welch Shaded Biscuit, if any, or even the Noriko, Champagne-R. I'm contemplating buying the Jon Renau Alessandra wig in either the Venice Blonde or the Palm Springs Blonde and I would really appreciate any comments you have regarding these 2 colors. Thank you!

Debra Englander: Love it always loved shags in 70’s. Would like it if it was a bit longer. Thank you for great review

Maria Daquila: Very pretty look, Taz. Lovely on you!

Ronda: Woohoo! Look at you! You know, Taz, this wave shag hair style is SO in amongst the young fashioistas atm. I don't know about the US, but this particular wig is rated as one of the most popular RW styles on one of our largest wig retailers websites in Australia .. So how's that, eh?! Ahh, I'm feeling all time warped.. it's just like looking at my old high school hair, straight out of the early to mid 80s! lol Yes, back when I was naturally blonde, wrinkle free and the world was my oyster lol lol Yup, you nailed it.. Dolly WOULD totally rock this one! Though, I can definitely see you in this little number, along with your accompanying hot pink, snake skin boots, Stetson hat and fringed cut off denim jacket Yeehaa! Why, yes, Siree, Ma'am.. Another terrific review! Hugs, hugs, hugs xox

Marcell DelCorpo: I really like this one! but every wig you put on looks great!

Michele Brown: This looks so fun and cute!!

Connie Feltman: Well ... that was me in the 70’s & 80’s! When I could get Perms that would help hold the body and curls in! I have seen that style and been tempted to purchase but haven’t! Love it on you and wig is so cute! ❣️

Jennifer S: Very cute on you! This is back in style!!

Deb M: This definitely takes me back to the 80s. You look like Farrah Fawcett❤️

jayandess: Question from someone just thinking about my first wig. Is it a good idea to buy a cheaper priced model at first so you can see how you feel about wearing/caring for it or do you just plunge straight in?

LuLu Kellogg Atelier: Ahhhhhh! My kind of hair! Looks darling on you Doll! xo

Sandra G. McAlister: Really cute wig to style. She's adorable on you Taz, i think you look like a young Raquel Welch, btw. Thanks for the review, and have a great day!

Carol ReMarks: I LOVE that! Super cute.

Lana Leah: I LOVE LOVE LOVE this style!

Lorrie: Actually, I think this would be fun for the right occasion. Though I have no hair now, believe it or not I had that style and hair the late 1970s -early 1980s. Oh, to have that much hair now!

Kathleen Carrigan: I am waiting on Tress in ss29/20. It is close to the way I wore my hair in 1981. I was reading and looking at Hairstyles for 2022.

Take Control Beauty: Good morning TAZ you know this is totally me! I thought you were going to mention my name instead of Dolly Parton LOL because this is a total me wig LOL I'm gunna wait for a good coupon and get this! I also see a color I would love ! I hope the bangs are long enough to cover my #11's LOL TFS this wig ! Hugs Babs ❤️

The Indecisive Wig Wearer: Well, I wondered what that one really looked like...very thorough review Taz!

Lily Clement-Brown: Thanks, I've also wondered about this wig for a long time.

Sue Davis: I would have sold my soul for that look too!!

Valli S: Farah Fawcett, WAIT!, no, it's Taz. hahaha This is the cutest cut ever. Thanks for sharing.

Teresa Messenger: Omg...exactly what I have been dreaming of!!

Tammy Gozel: Looks like what I used to wear my hair

Paula Hulke: Love ❤️ Love ❤️ Love ❤️! Crap....I love it! Who’s going to tell my hubby?

Lexsee C: Thanks, Taz....I've always wondered about this one as well. It looks cute on you, but you like perma tease...and I don't !! Not on me anyway!

Dixie Dietrich: Hi Taz, love this style. What shade do you re commend that is closest to Biscuit.

Lynn Armbruster: it is a cute wig, however i wish the wig companies would not make such a stark contrast between the roots and the wig color

Manita Busser: A bit like the Jon Renau Jessica, I love this style looks great on you.

Sheryl Wanlass: What would compare this to? Thanks! It’s darling on you! I hope to get this one! if you have a sell on this…plz let me know. Thanks again.

Elaine Clements Finn: My next wig !

Karyn Jones: I don't know if you would still answer questions for this post, but I would love to know what are wigs C, D, and E? Love the Tress!

Michelle Diekman: You look Beautiful, What a fun Wig. See you have snow again. We have 3 inches of rain here. Hugs to you my Dear.

kjn boston: if you could straighten the bad boy out it would look much more modern -like wolf cut -ish look-Its different I like it for change.

Linda p.p.: I swear, you could put on a mop and make it look updated and pretty on you.

Look Up and Marvel: Does this wig stretch well? I'm average but need a bit more stretch.

swineinny1: Oh goodness, this one looks like Mrs. Brady hair on steroids. Watch any TV show from early ‘70’s & some lady would have this hair. Well, if this “balloon hair” is what you want, I guess here it is.

JaneGoodlove: I keep coming back to this, still considering this style. But this time, F caught my eye…which is that one, please?

Renee L: What is the name/maker of the wig “K”. behind you in this video?
