▶PLEASE NOTE◀ – Colors may appear brighter than actual due to studio lighting, etc. You will find this is also true with manufacturers photos. Darkening my lighting would yield low quality video. The lighting I have is still a better option than reliance on the digital color swatches. Remember also, colors can vary from piece to piece among wigs of the same style and also depends on the color calibration of your viewing device.

Hey everybody welcome back to taz's wig closet at wig studio, one i'm happy to present a brand new style by amore new for summer 2021. This is called royce in a brand new color. Even this is melted, coconut we're going to take it quickly and briefly out of the box, i'm going to apply it show you exactly what it looks like before i start to wake up the style. You won't want to miss the details. There'S a lot you want to know before you buy coming up this week, style was provided to me by wig studio one for this wig review today. Hopefully i can get a lot of great detail out to you before you decide to make the investment you can find it at wig studio. One expand the description box below the video you'll find a link directly to the style, as well as pricing and all of the color options. If you have any questions for us, please reach out to support wigstudio1.com, we invite you to shop at wig studio one. We also have a new live chat, feature from any product page on the website. Scroll down, hit the help. Button and you'll have the option of being connected with a live chat, so the style royce is a very flattering long style with some layers and some soft waves and a nice practical fringe to it. So i find like i find that it's very wearable, but, let's briefly take a look at it in the box. I'M going to put up just a little side clip here, just showing you kind of what it looks like right out of the box. You can kind of see the length of it in the color. You can see how it's coiled up in the box. They always do a really nice job with the packaging, i'm not sure if you've seen the new amore packaging or not. I think they've had this. Now for a year or two um, but it's a really nice sturdy, almost keepsake quality box and it's very sufficient to protect the wig and it looks really pretty to display it has the embossing and things in it for the logo as well. So just kind of stretching it out and taking a look at it right out of the box. Now the next thing that i'm going to do is um. I am going to apply this wig as it was right out of the box. I filmed this yesterday um because i wanted to do some outdoor shots today, so today um, i picked it up and i put it on and i showed you what i did to sort of wake up the style. These are the steps that i would take. Every single time, prior to a review, i never want to just plunk on a wig and press it down to my head and and show it to you, because i don't feel like that's the true style and it certainly doesn't show you the possibilities of the style. I'Ll make my adjustments, so it doesn't roll all over my head during the review process, but then i'll set about waking up the style. So the first thing i do is give it a really nice few shakes and then the other thing that i do is i just take a wide tooth comb and i sort of pull the fiber away from the cap again just to further help separate and set Those fibers free once i apply it then. Once again i go in with my fingers and i swirl all around, especially at the lace front. Any monofilament features any hand-tied features and also the uh the wefting as it appears. So i will just swirl around and further wake it up, and i think at that point i'm ready i'm ready to unweave the part, i'm ready to find a good parting space that works. For me, that's most flattering uh. I feel on my face, shape and you'll. Do the same when you get yours home as well? Okay, so that's what i do and then this is kind of the final product. I did all of those steps and now it's on my head, but i want to talk about this color, this melted coconut. So i read the description and i'm thinking you know, i don't see it, i just don't see it um, they describe it as being a dark brown that kind of melts into a medium golden brown and then into white tips. So let me show you what i see with my own eye. I definitely see that melting effect taking place sort of like an ombre, although at the bottom you'll see some underlighting of that lighter color. Some of those nape pieces are solidly the highlight color, and i think that just adds to the drama of the color in terms of that melting effect. So i do see a nice what i would consider a medium brown uh root and that is visible from all angles of this wig style. So every fiber, that's sewn into this color, has a dark brown rooting effect to it. Unlike the melted sunset by rene of paris, where they kind of forgot the rooting, i mean it really was noticeable um, and i really prefer the look of the rooting. I think it looks a little more natural. It looks intentional. You know this ombre um and less costume like so i'm really digging this color guys. I feel like it's very very flattering like i say that medium to dark brown, root kind of blends into some warm light golden brown. That transition is absolutely beautiful and then about halfway down, maybe you'll start to see some highlights and tips of a pale gold blonde. The highlights kind of get a little more obvious as you gradually move out towards the tips, which is the true effect of an ombre. So um, i really like how it's done and then, like i said, to enhance that effect. I think they put in some underlighting, because a lot of the nape hairs are that pale gold blonde, but again you're getting that rooting effect all over. The description says that there's white in this i do not see any white, i don't see anything ashy at all. I think this is a very true warm color overall, very flattering warm shade, but i'm not seeing the white i'm seeing a pale gold blonde, but it has a bit of a yellow tint to it and white. Does not a true white does not have a yellow tint just so you're aware of that, so why i think this is really super. Wearable is this front piece, so it ranges anywhere from three and a half to six and a half. So it's going to start cutting in right there at the hairline and there's a shorter piece there, but then it gradually gets a little longer and it's layering until you're out to the full length of those sides. So i would say, that's probably anywhere from three and a half to six and a half inches. I did not have to do anything to train this. It sort of just wants to float and feather back into the style which i love that keeps it out of the face. It looks gorgeous and sexy and free um love it now. I did measure it from my own measurements from the crown to the tip of the hair and the back is about 19 inches, so it's a true long style. Now this is the exo collection and in the past they have claimed that that cap is hand-tied completely hundred percent hand tight um. I don't see that description anymore and i think it's because there are a lot of machine made elements to this um. I personally think that this cap is amazing. It it fits me very nicely, so it almost acts like a true average. I only had to cinch it in a tad to accommodate a petite average, so um and i'm not finding a ton of stretch. So if you're a large circumference, i have no way of measuring that for you, but i would take some caution. So what you are going to find on this cap is a lace front temple to temple a full single monofilament top and then what they call a soft net cap. It'S kind of like a meshy base with some built-in integrated wefting in it um in between the mesh layers. So it's soft it's pliable. It has darting in areas that kind of give it that custom fit and feel, and the fact that those wefts are sort of integrated into that mesh base cap. It does deliver a nice realistic, look from anywhere on on this cap, so you've got that lace front. Monofilament top and you have the integrated wefting here. This was a very pale shade. Without any rooting you might be able to get a sense of those integrated weftings, the appearance of them from the back, but on this particular one, i'm thinking it is super realistic. Looking so, let's inspect these lace and monofilament features okay. So what you need to know here is that it's a nice fine grid, um, it's a nice fine knot process going on there. I see a couple of trouble areas number one. There are clumps of fiber sewn in in splotches on this lace front now to those out there that are savvy and can fix the problem. You simply want to pluck those out with, or at least thin them out with some tweezers. I'M not telling you to do that. This is not a tutorial. I have done that before and i have been successful, but you'll see there's a clump of fiber there, so i just arranged my parting in a way that kind of makes that look a little more natural, it kind of counterparts with my widow's peak there. Okay, now, the other thing you want to know about this lace, monofilament lace feature is that it's very shiny, i'm going to have to take some powder to it. The other thing is that it's rough, this lace front is made from a thick material and it is scratchy if you are sensitive now i am not sensitive. I i really enjoy these lace features. I am so happy that they are on this wig. I think it's going to give it a lot of nice realism, but if you're sensitive to a thicker, scratchier type monofilament lace, then that's probably going to be a problem for you on this piece um. Now, i'm not sure if you can see down through to the illusion of the scalp. It'S a nice just an average density here. So if you can see through to it, it's a nice look of realism, scalp appearance from the top, and you could part it in any direction and get that same in that same appearance. So i just basically rake this back away from my face. There'S a little bit of a natural contour that i kind of fleshed out when i was shaking it and arranging it as you've seen, but it's not a heavy contour and it's not baked in it's not like a permanent contour. It'S, however, you feel like styling it and now the weight on this is like 4.8 ounces, so um anywhere between four and five, i think for a style. That'S of this length is pretty good, so this is super important information about the fibers so that you know what to expect. I'M reporting based on this piece that i have here so this fiber is super fine, baby, fine, but it's very, very rough in texture um. I have seen fiber like this before by a couple of rainy of paris styles. I think, but fine super dry light, feathery and rough to the touch. It'S not silky at all, um, it's very rough to the touch now, here's why i think they do that, and i think that it's actually a good thing. First of all, it gives this a little bit of body and structure without adding a lot of fiber, because if you've got a very fine, silky fiber that rolls off of everything, you need a lot to keep to keep up the body in the style um. So i think that is one of the good things about this. The other really good thing about it is the fact that it's not shiny at all, there's not even a hint of shine on this, even in full on bright sunshine, and so also. I am not sensing any of any traditional permatease on this cap, so i'm not reaching in and touching soft pillowy fiber that has been added to the cap, but what you will see along each of those weftings in the back that are kind of integrated into that Mesh base um there's some um scalloping that has taken place on one end of the fiber and that's going to give it structure and hold and lift and volume without adding a lot of extra fiber. Now it may have some extra fiber, but it's all done in a way, that's enclosed into that mesh cap and at the nape. I do sense a little bit extra of that that same type of permatease that i was talking about. So i'm going to guess here and just say that in the upcoming warm months of summer that this cap is probably going to tend to trap the heat quite a bit with that you know those enclosed wefts and permatease in there um it's a a on all Mesh base, even though it's breathable - it's not like it's not breathable at all, it's probably not quite as breathable as open wefted cap styles. So if you're in a warmer climate, you're, probably going to want to find ways to get this off of the neck, if you're going to wear it outside for long periods of time, here's an inside look at the cap for amours royce. There'S your temple to temple! Lace, front, it's mildly contoured. It does not extend into the ear tab. The knots tend to get a little more thickly threaded as you move back. There'S a seam that adjoins the lace front to the single monofilament top. There'S a closed felted ear tab. A nice sturdy stay involved, an extended felted nape with velcro style, adjusters you'll notice. I had to cinch those in just slightly to accommodate a petite average circumference. This is the soft net cap, so you'll see everything covered by a meshy soft pliable meshy material, and this is where all these seams are, where the actual integrated wefting lives and that's all over. They use some different darting and things to give it a nice custom feel it still gives you a nice look of realism, because when you look through, you can't really see these from the outside. Unless you have a really light color, so i think glasses and sunglasses are going to play beautifully with this style. It fits nicely on me between the ear and the ear tab, so we are summer ready. So what i'm going to do is just take you through a couple of styling maneuvers, so that you can get a sense of the movement, the density you can get a sense of the realism of the cap. I think this one will be a super fun. Styling, uh, wig and you'll have a lot of options. I am so glad you joined me today. We'Ll see you next time on taz's wig closet at wig studio, one, you
