I'M always super excited when raquel welch comes out with a brand new style. I have one to show you today. It'S called on fire in the color rl1723 ss coming up. We can always count on raquel welch for coming out with some new and fresh styles. Every season this on fire style is exclusively for in store purchases. If you expand the description box below you'll, find a link that will take you out to hair you wear, which is the parent company that makes raquel welch designs. It will show you a shop locator. So you'll be able to feed in your zip code and it'll give you all the wig shops that are dealers authorized dealers of hair you wear products. Does that mean that this particular style is in all of those shops? Probably not. If you wanted this particular style. You may have to make a request for it, because they are an authorized dealer. They should be able to get it from their hair. You wear representative also a word of caution just due to the pandemic issues and all of the uh the mask and new hygiene requirements they may or may not be able to allow you to try these on. So my suggestion is that you call ahead to see the protocol for each of the in stores. This is a really lovely piece. It has some amazing cup features this on fire style is a short classically. Layered shag style cut. Looking at some of these specs and measurements, it's easy to see why this is such a flattering style. It has a very nice practical bang area here now, there's lots of layering around the face. It appears that that first layer is going to be right around four to four and a half inches lots of layering on the sides crown and nape overall, from the tip of the hair to the back in the back is about 12 inches, including that flip in The back, let's get up close on the lace front. Uh the lace front is not a disappointment. It is beautifully done as always by raquel welch. It does run temple to temple and extends back into the ear tab. It has beautiful coverage and that full monofilament top you really get a sense of natural scalp appearance anywhere. You would like to part this style, and then it features just the open, wefted sides and back this style features the true to life fibers by raquel welch. So you'll be able to locate all of your favorite uh colors that come on the true to life fiber line. Let'S get up close real quick on this rl 1723, which is iced latte macchiato. This is one of the newer cool tones collection, colors that came out in 2019. It has a dark ash, blonde base color, and then it has a very ashy almost platinum highlight, and all of that is on a medium brown root. It'S very cool in tone almost has a bit of a powdery appearance, it's a true ash on ash blonde other raquel, welch styles, that this reminds me of so, if you like styles, like um upstage, which is a completely hand-tied cap, if you like the raquel welch, A real deal, i think, you'll also like this one as well. Even a style called big time is very, very close as well, so this one's right out of the box, i just gave it a shake applied. It found a natural parting space because you can make your part anywhere you want. I use the heat of my hand just to bring out a little bit of that contour at the front, and i really did kind of brush the root just a little bit as i was holding it upside down. That brings the air in sort of releases the style, so these true to life fibers are very soft, almost velvety to the touch like healthy human hair, your hand just glides effortlessly through these fibers. It has really nice natural movement and very little synthetic shine. Let'S talk permatease, there is permatease on this style. It'S very strategically done all around that monofilament in through the back and the nape. It'S not thick heavy and pillowy. It'S just done super well. I can reach in and fill my scalp through the wefting. So it's not a really thick application of permatease just enough to kind of keep this style going. One thing that they do really well on their monofilament tops is that when they sew the fibers into that monofilament, it has some natural body and contour to them. That gives you a lot of gentle lift right on the top without having to have the permatease. So if you just use your fingers to kind of pick and fluff those layers, you'll bring air in it'll, give you some nice gentle volume and separation in the fibers. One thing i love about the shag style cuts is that they're just so versatile. All of that layering is just so delicate and beautiful, and it has a nice outward flip movement that you can see there at the back. Now. If you liked it to go inwards, you can either use the heat. You know from your hand to kind of scoop. It in or you could even use a hot air brush or some other sort of heat appliance to create a little bit of a different movement. I personally love all the layering in the back. It allows me to get a little bit of volume back there while retaining its nice wispy movement. It'S just super natural. Looking, okay i'll show you the inside of the cap and then we'll get down to some styling for on fire. Here'S a look at the inside of the cap for on fire by raquel welch, a famously well constructed cap. There'S temple to temple lace, front nicely contoured. It does extend into the ear tab. It has a nice fine grid on that lace, a very deep lace front. A bit of a silicone seam that does a join the full monofilament top. That'S a very big, generous monofilament, top lots and lots of wefting. You see the silicone there on the elastic for the weftings. That makes it very stretchy and comfortable to wear a closed ear. Tab with nice sturdy stays velvet lined a velvet lined extended nape with velcro style adjusters. I had to take those adjusters in as far as they could go to accommodate a petite average circumference. So this style is right out of the box. I gave it a really vigorous shake and just use the heat of my hands to create a little bit of a parting space there. Let'S try with glasses glasses, fit beautifully between the ear and the ear tab on the style, as they do most of my raquel welch styles. So let's go ahead and i'll just do some simple styling techniques. There'S a lot of versatility here and that way, you'll be inspired to work with your shag style cuts. Roots, Rocks & Feathers: Oh, super cute! I'm sort of drawn to this color, though I had a Crowd Pleaser in Shaded Biscuit and the root was too stark for me, but this seems more muted for some reason. Anita Ward: As always you do a great review, however not a fan of the style and not a fan of true to life fibers. I have 2 RW wigs and in my opinion the fibers gives the appearance of hair that needs washing like you haven't washed your hair for a couple of days and it clumps together. Again it's just my opinion but thus us why they make so many different fibers. I love your reviews and think you are a natural at reviews. Have a blessed day.

Pat Kin: So sad. I have no wig shops even remotely close in northern rural AZ. Taking a full day's journey to the Valley after even locating a shop is just not safe. I am so sick of this country's attitude that the only people who count live in large urban areas. In times of COVID and "protecting the elderly".. we rural elders can't get any kind of the services/deliveries the urbanites get.
