Wig Review- Code Mono By Ellen Wille

Hey everyone! I bought a new wig and wanted to share it with you guys! I talk about the wig in general and also some pros and cons. It might not sound clear in the video, but this is one of the first wigs that do not push my ears out when the hair is behind them

Hi everyone it's Annika and welcome back to my channel and don't be fooled. It is me I decided to wear one of my darker wigs today just for fun, but today I'm actually not focusing on this wag. I'M going to talk about a wig that I just bought and it is called code motto by Ellen Villa, and here it is so it is a synthetic wig with a lace front. Monofilament part. The color I bought is the sandy blonde routed. So you can see here it's like a mix of different blonde colors and right there, the darker roots. I did buy this on Wacom just this past weekend or a couple weekends ago. They were having a sale, 30 % off, I'm such a sucker for their sales, but typically it is around $ 280 and that's what I saw in a bunch of other wig websites too. So it did to be about around that price. Let me go ahead and take it off the wig stand, but here we go here. It is nice like really straight hair like pin straight right there. So take it off of this carrot, and so here you go so here's the inside of it. You can see on here, though, with the part you can only part it on one side, which is like the left side. You can't part it really on the other one. You know if you want it to look natural, so there is that you know here. You can see all the wefts the tag on here and nothing really too much else to it. Just a really simple cap right here and let me show you a little more around so yeah, pretty simple wig and what I'm going to do is I'm just gon na go ahead and pop this sucker right on. So you guys, so you guys can see what it looks like on me. Just give me one second I'll be right back, hey guys, so I just put on the wig, and this is what it looks like and I'll go ahead and just turn around for you. So you can see the whole thing so here I go all right, so hopefully you guys could see that just fine and right now I'm going to go a little bit into the pros and cons actually before I do that. I want to show you guys, the box that this thing came in. Look how long this box is. I don't think I did it even like fit it in the frame of this thing um. This is like the longest box. I'Ve ever gotten with a wig. All the others are usually like: half the size and the wig might be slightly folded inside and no like completely different. Whenever you open it up, and of course, is it the tag that came with the wig and the wig was on top of this thing. Of course, like laid out flag - and I mean this is great - I mean it's a pretty good box - I'm actually going to keep it and use it for when I travel just so, I can lay out the wig and not have to worry about it like getting Kind of kinked by folding it so I'm like, oh well, that's a nice change of pace right there. So thanks Ellen Villa, let's go in a little bit of the pros on this way. So, first Pro the wig feels light. It doesn't feel heavy like some of my other wigs have so I do definitely enjoy that for one thing also, because I think it does feel like you know there is some less hair to it than the other some of the other wigs, but I feel like Ellen Villa just kind of does that with her wigs and personally I love it, it doesn't look Wiggy to me. This is similar to you know how thick my real hair was before it fell out of my head, so I definitely prefer this. This is like a huge winner for me, with it not being so horribly back, but again that can be a con to some people. The other thing is that this is a very pretty blonde color. It is, you know, mixed with different blondes in here um, so it was nice whenever I pulled it out, it wasn't as shiny as a bunch of other synthetic blondes that I've bought. So it's not like, I opened the box and was like line did by the shininess of the blonde on this wig um. I have actually sprayed a little bit of dry shampoo in it to dole it some. So that helps, but you know again, like every synthetic blonde, wig pretty much needs that dry, shampoo or something added to it, just to make it not as shiny. Another thing I do enjoy is oh my gosh. I was actually really excited when I read about this part on the way I can put it behind my ears and not really have any trouble like it. Doesn'T you know bunch up like crazy and I've been told. I have little ears so being able to put this behind it and have my ear like completely stick out like crazy, like that, it's done with previous wigs that have more hair to them. I mean I'm like oh my gosh. This is amazing. I never thought how happy I would be just to be able to do that so um yeah. I hope that doesn't sound too corny, but I was actually really excited to find that out. Okay, so let's just go into cons that I've already kind of figured out - and again I didn't actually I forgot to add - I did just buy this wig a few days ago, so I've only had two days of wearing it. Oh one more Pro, I almost forgot is it hasn't been horribly tingly uh, not yet so that one's still kind of to be determined, but I haven't had any problems with that having to brush it out a bunch during the day, especially the back. So, having said that, I promise I'm ready to talk about the cons first con. I would say I wish there were more colors for this wegg. There were only like, I think, three blondes available and um yeah. I think so I mean check it out on the website, but there weren't as many blondes as I would prefer, especially I would like more of the blondes without the roots. My natural hair color was like a dark dirty blonde, so I just feel like for me personally. This root is a little bit darker than I prefer, but it probably matches a lot of what other people like normally have like the main population. So maybe I'm just like the odd one out that, but that's the only thing I could say I wish, was a little bit different with the colors because there's like a champagne, like extremely light, almost platinum, looking blonde but has like dark roots. And so I guess that's like the only thing I would, I really think kind of a con with the colors again I could just be me being picky, but another thing I would say is a con. Is some other reviews. A lot of people say yeah where the bangs up you know going back. It looks really natural with the lace front, but III haven't found the wick yet for where I feel comfortable, where I can do that, where I won't be thinking in the back of my head like okay, this person I'm talking to, can they can they see the Wig cuz I'll show you guys what I'm talking about. Um semen, I guess on camera. It doesn't look too bad, but it's still just something. I don't know. I guess I'm just not there yet to wear it back like this out in public. So I still just like the bang. Personally and again, I always wore my hair previously with bangs. You know something to the side um, but yeah. So I guess that's mainly it with this wig so far again, because it is new whenever I wear it out a bit more I'll, probably give you guys an update, because I feel like that's like the main thing with wigs for me like okay at first, they Can look really pretty gorgeous work out really well, but if I wash this thing a couple times, you know with waves in general and it goes to crud. You know if it starts to get all straggly if the hair falls out too much if it starts to tangle a lot. I will definitely update you guys on that, because I, like longevity with my wigs, is it worth my money in that way so yeah? Well, I hope you guys enjoyed my video talking about the code mono by Ellen Villa and again I mean overall, I love this wig. Oh and also the cap fits really well too it's kind of like a smaller cap, so I don't have that extra like cap. In the back - and I think, that's kind of like along the line with all of her wigs that I've noticed so I'm definitely I mean this is my second wig now with Ellen Villa. This is my first synthetic of hers and I'm really liking it um I'll. Definitely look more and more to her. Wigs probably find more of hers unless I find something else, but truthfully I, I am a fan, so thanks so much Ellen Villa for creating great wigs that at least work with me. So thank you and well. Thank you guys again so much for watching. I appreciate it have a wonderful rest of your day and please subscribe bye.

Anja Johanna: Thanks for your review- Agree Ellen Wille needs more blondes without or with much lighter roots - more like natural blondes have. But that goes for all wig makers like Jon Renau, Raquel Welch, etc. Gabor does a little better job on some wigs. However, having said that, this s/not be a CON for this particular wig, because you knew it had darker roots. But overall, blonde wigs need to become more realistic, especially for the hundreds of dollars we have to spend on them. Thanks!

Rachel Louise Swann: Hey Anneka. Thanks for sharing this information. I just bought an Ellen Wille style 'Carrie' in 'light Berstein' which is a kind of honey blonde. I had this style and colour before and really liked it. After trying a few inexpensive wigs this year I am looking at Ellen Wille's more expensive styles, plus Jon Renau (though hopefully they will do a sale!). Your presentation is wonderful, you are a natural on the camera and you provide exactly what we need to know before buying. Look forward to more videos from you. Rachel x

TIme Enough: Absolutely love the blonde EW on you! Suits you better and looks super natural. Very pretty and looks totally real!

Deborah Ahonen: I’d like to add my voice to the request for wig manufacturers to make more blonde wigs with no dark roots or just a slightly shaded root, for us natural blondes! We are the forgotten ones! Also, the stick-straight hair on this wig reminds me of doll hair- real hair usually has a bit of curve to it. I’d use a steamer and brush to slightly curl it- guarantee it’ll look much more natural! Been there with Raquel Welch’s Showstopper.

Olive Villanelle: I've had that wig and it's one of my favorites.

Jafeia: I agree with the dark root situation! My hair is also naturally dirty blonde and a brown root on a blonde wig just does not suit me. Would like to see an update on the wig though !

Christina L: I luv both wigs on you! Can you do a review of the first darker wig you were wearing too?

Beadedornot: Very pretty. OMG I look 4 the same things too - behind the ear test for bulkiness & fit of cap. I have a small head so love a cap that runs snug/petite & a "lighter" density. Love the dark one - I'm brunette. Thx 4 sharing

Suzanne Troya: thank you!!! your video has helped decide to go forward with a purchase! after wearing platinum seamless extensions for 6 years, my poor hair needs a period for recovery. this wig might be the answer while I wait for regrowth!!

Miss Pethamhouse: Looks awesome on you!! Love the rooted blonde in you!

Brenda McElroy: I just order Code Mono in sand mix. It looks great on you! Hope I love it too!

Vi Ay: Great review! I just ordered this one in the same color. Hope it looks as good on me as it does on you! Very natural and pretty on you!

Tracy 2canplay: Just scrolling through YouTube, checking out reviews for Ellen Wille wigs and I found this one - I'm 4 years late, oops. Cute Code Mono, very natural looking. What I DON'T love is that after reading through the comments here, I see no replies at all from the chick in the video. Lol. Well done.

Christina Gibson: You look beautiful in both wig colors!

Eva Potters: Hi Anneke, the wig you are wearing in the beginning of this video, is very beautiful as well. Which one is it? And what colour? Looks really gorgeous. Do you also have a review on that one?

Barbara Brinkmeyer: Wow! The red/brown is very nice!

Sandra Adams: This looks wonderful on u. I think I may buy. Thanks for your video

Tarnya King: I do have another question I'd like to ask. Do you comb your hair throughout the day? If so how? I usually put my wig on in the morning and then don't comb it until after I take it off at night. It needs to be combed during the day but Im not sure how. Do you comb it by taking it off in the ladies room, or do you comb it anytime while still on your head? My Raquel would tangle up so much that I couldn't comb it while it was on my head so Id just walk around all day hoping for the best. Thanks for the info.

Tammie Parrish: I just don't like the lace/mono top wigs from anyone yet! They all look fake to me. I can see the knots and I need my wig to look real. Don't we all? I think this wig is gorgeous on you. Great review as well.

ALEX KAUTZ: Wow, you look amazing! I love Ellen Wille :) Just reviewed two men's styles on my channel :D

Patricia Moldovan: Could you tell me the name of the darker wig you’re wearing? Thanks so much!

Dawn Dahlquist: I definately love the dark brown hair you have on. Is it a wig also and what is the name of it? Thanks

Ott Gavras: Thank you for the helpful info

chris rybar: I just found you omg I love your wigs I'm still trying to find the right one your so pretty!!!

Kelley Mats: love it, you're gorgeous!

Julia V: I do love the exact same things about ellen wille wigs! The earthing made me so happy, that i think my family thought i was going crazy :D

DogMom: Oh man, that piece of bang kept flopping over. I would hate that and never wear it if it kept doing that! Can you do an update on how this has held up and did the bangs ever get tamed??

cynrie: you look great as a brunette <3

Jac mac: very cute!

Slay By Pamela J: Hello Anneka, Could you tell me if you think this wig can be slightly teased at the crown? Also do you think it could be pulled back in a half clip in the front if it had a real bang area if that makes sense:) Thank you

Jenifer Fleming: What was the first wig you were wearing?

Pink Candy Leah: how did you get your Courteney to be so flat and nice ? I see a lot with a few large waves and they don't look at.all like your courtney

Lisa Marie: What color is the blonde one?

69indigoblue: Am I the only one who thinks that this wig looks like the front layers right beneath the shoulders had been cut very rough, like someone took a pair of scissors and did it be himself? Maybe it is because the front layers look more blond that the hair underneath?

Cera Scott: what color is this in?

Anita Castelli: Hi. How did this hold up. I can't find your foll I was up video. Thank you pretty girl

GetReady4LiftOff: Lots of +s. Cons only 3 blondes colors w roots. Only had wig 2days.

Jackie Fertik: You must try Ricquel welsh wigs try have the best lace front
