So who's ready for some brand new jon renau count me in this wig style was sent to me by wig studio one for this review. Today we invite you to shop at wig studio, one for this style and all of the other name brand, wigs below the video. You will find a link directly to this style, as well as the other jon renau products, so that you can go out and take a look at colors and pricing. If you have any questions for us, don't hesitate to email support, wigstudio1.com, we're always ready to help. So, like you, i am super over the top excited to see some brand new styles coming from jon renau. So we're going to take a look today at one of the new releases came coming out for fall 2021. This is john renaud's. Maya and maya is a short to mid length, voluminous curly bob style with some really flattering fringe. So this is in the color palm springs blonde. That'S supposed to be um like a medium ash blonde, and then there is some toned white highlights running through it and all of that on a light ash brown root. So this particular palm springs. Blonde application is a little different in a couple of ways and i think you'll notice right away on a couple of these, so i'm not sure how it's going to render on camera, but in in person in person it really does come across very, very powdery and Ashy um so you're, probably picking up on a little bit of gray on camera um. So it just looks like maybe that toner that they use on the white that violet toner has just been taken, an extra step and giving you a more of a muted look. Compared to this is my julienne by jon renau and the palm springs blind. This one seems to be a little brighter and lighter, and, however, it is a little more shiny than this. This application as well so just keep in mind. These are some of the variances that we can see with colors and then on this particular application. We'Re getting into a darker root more of a medium brown instead of a light brown so before we get into our unboxing, let's just go through the specs of this style: real, quick, so you're, looking at overall right around 12 to 13 inches in this curly bob And in the front, it's it states that there's about a seven and a half inch bang now really um on this bang area, this fringe, it's coming down to about five and a half inches, because i'm six and a half from hairline to chin. However, there are some seven and a half inch layers here on the side, so perhaps that's where they took that measurement. So just be aware that all the layering around the face is super flattering. It probably begins around five and a half and ends in seven and a half inches and, like i said overall, probably between 12 and 13 inches in its curl pattern, beautiful curl pattern here and minimal layering everywhere else. This is supposed to be a full looking curly bob style now. This one features a full temple to temple, lace, front and monofilament top. Let'S take a look at the lace, so i did notice that, because this root color is a little darker than other applications of palm springs blonde. I am noticing a little bit of that knotty effect right at the front. It would have been nice if they took the highlight right up to that lace front as if to help soften and disguise um. The dark knots there at the front. Okay, the lace material is that lovely, smart lace, which is a welded lace by jon renau, and it really does act very durably typically has a very lovely, realistic appearance from the front and then you've got the monofilament top now. This is a temple to temple. Lace front, but it does not extend back into the ear tab. Then we have machine wefted sides and back this style weighs just under four ounces at about 3.8 ounces, which i think is really nice for this average to heavier density here, which is the identity of this full curly bob style. Now this is made from the jon renau's regular synthetic fiber, so it is not heat friendly. So i think this would make a wonderful, regular synthetic alternative to some of the heat. Similar heat friendly styles out there, just to name one at least, would be the raquel welch's editor's pick. So this would be a great sister style alternative in a regular synthetic fiber. So let's chat a little bit about this curl pattern. This is a pretty amazing resilient. Curl pattern here: it is almost a fully formed curl um, in fact it's very, very difficult to brush out or disturb this curl. I took a comb through this curl and no matter what, if, as i pulled the comb through the curl, the curl snapped back. It'S very resilient in its pattern, so that's actually good news for a lot of you out there that may have experienced curl kind of falling out when you um or loosening up too much when you take a brush or a comb to it. So i think you could brush it out a little bit to separate it and make it more full, but it will come right back to its original curl pattern here. So a very defined resilient curl pattern. Now what you need to know about this fiber? Okay, um! It'S a little more coarse, thick and rough than your typical fine, silky fiber by jon renau, if you're used to that, but it does have a really good purpose on this style. So each one of these curls has been texturized a little bit on the ends anytime. You go through and texturize the ends of a wig style or even natural hair you're, going to get a little bit of a rougher type effect there. So i think this is very purposeful on this style and what i did after the unboxing is. I did use some jon renau's conditioning spray, so this is the jon renau's conditioning spray and all i did was add a little bit to the front and the ends just a little because they felt a little bit crunchy from that texturizing and i wanted to soften Them up so i squirted it with water. I applied a little bit of the conditioning spray, let it dry and it's much more pliable i feel like and manageable than it appeared to be right out of the box. Okay. So, let's start our unboxing video that i did yesterday, this unboxing is a little different than other unboxings that i have filmed. I wanted this to be a complete utter surprise to me, as it was to you, so what i did was. I left it in the cardboard shipping box that it came in um, so you'll see me opening that box doing my best to cover up any personal, private uh, address information and so forth. So once i got that open, then you see uh this wig resting in the box. First thing i do is check to be sure that it's what i ordered what i expected to get so all the tags match and so forth. All of the typical jon renau packaging - this is a part of their smart lace collection, so that is a very recognizable box and packaging. Okay, looking at it under the net, i really right away, fell in love with the curl pattern. I could tell that it had a lot more definition than some of the looser choppier waves that we have been seeing on the market today, so removing the net and all the packaging all right. So what we want to do is take a look at this cap, so right away, you're going to see that full lace, front single monofilament top and the lace front does not extend back into the ear tab. There'S a seam that adjoins the lace front and that single hand tied monofilament machine wefted sides and back nice closed ear, tabs an extended nape and velcro style adjuster. So no real surprises here on the appearance of this cap and all of its features exactly what you would expect from jon renau. So i set about doing my usual maneuvers to a wig style before i apply it and that is go ahead and shake it out. Really well try to use my fingers to weave the part that came right from the factory just to kind of wake up these fibers and set free the movement and all of the wispy texture that i'm expecting here. So once i tried to apply it, i knew right away that i was going to have to make an adjustment to this wig. This jon renau wig fits me larger than any other jon renau wig that i have in my collection or have experienced. So my circumference is petite average at 21 and a quarter inches. I had to take it in and crisscross the adjusters in order to get a secure fit for my circumference measurement. Now i can only report on the piece that i have so we might see some variants from style to style in terms of sizing um. However, i feel like this particular one does run a little larger than what i was expecting, so i had to remove it. A couple of times make the adjustment, so just be aware of that little bit of a variance there on my particular piece so looking at it, then i'm going to continue to wake up the fiber on the top of this style. It'S a thicker type fiber and a little drier than what i'm used to from jon renau. But i have seen this type of fiber before and it still needs to be roughed up a little bit to set those to set those fibers free so that they can move and react most naturally right away, noticing that a little bit of variance in the color. Because this one appeared to have a little bit of a more muted powdery, look to it than other applications of palm springs blonde, but isn't it gorgeous? So after the unboxing, as i stated, i just squirted a little water on it um i applied some of the jon renau's conditioning spray uh, just a mild light, coating of that all over and but especially here around the face and let it dry - and i like I say it just has become very pliant pliable. I should say around my face now. This particular piece did not have, as you saw, didn't, have a whole lot of contour up front, so i just kind of brushed it back and when you just take your fingers and rake it back, it does create a little bit of lift there at the front. But that's easily managed to your preference because, like i say here, it is straight down over the forehead. I just happen to prefer to rake it back away from the face, and i love these front pieces. Um they're smooth so you're going to see a little bit of a smoother crown and a little bit of a smoother first layer in the fringe. So the curl does not go all the way up to the root and i think that delivers a more manageable curl experience than curl. That goes all the way up. It lays beautifully around the face. So let's talk permatease that there is some permatease on this style. As you would expect, i am not putting it on pace with the raquel welch's editor's pick. I think editor's pick probably has more a little more permatease in it. So you're going to find some permatease around that monofilament a little bit at the crown back and nape. Just kind of a uniform amount, all the way around enough to kind of prop up the style, give it that full voluminous look but not too heavy and thick, and it definitely doesn't feel too pillowy or hot. Just a little sidebar note here, you could actually trim in a shorter fringe on this style and it would look perfect. So if you weren't crazy about that five and a half piece and that seven, you know that seven and a half piece you could definitely go in and trim in a shorter side, fringe um. If you wanted to do a full straight across bang. I think that would also be manageable, so here we are in the styling segment and first i just want to take this jon renau's wide tooth comb and sort of comb in front of you, some of these curls, so that you can um feel like you understand How resilient these curls are, so you can just come through them like this, i typically just pick and fluff. I never want to drag all the way straight down all right, so um. I think i can get some fluffy separation there, but, as you can tell, the curl definition is lasting through this little bit of a brush out that i am doing here a little pick and a fluff and a brush out at the ends. So you can definitely create some volume on the sides as much as you want, but i feel like it's also a very versatile in terms of being able to do tux and some other things to help. You really love this piece, so i have my reader glasses here. I always like to do a little bit of a demo when i can to um share with you how well glasses fit okay um. I feel like it fits nicely between the ear and the ear tab. I tend to say that a lot, don't i um and i always wonder whatever everybody else's experience is but right there at the ear tab. There'S some permatease, but not a whole lot and the density isn't so great at that point that i'm unable to get a fit. I do feel like i can get a nice secure, fit again between the ear and the ear tab on this style. So do you

Mint: Hi Taz, I love these curls! I’m curious about Jon Renau’s other offerings too for this autumn. What did you think about the movement of this wig? We’re off to a new month! A month of gratitude! I’m so excited! So many blessings to count, right? You are one of mine! I enjoy your videos and know you’re a kindred spirit! Lots of love, Sharon xo

Christina Knapp: Hi Taz! So gorgeous on you and thank you for comparing the color application! The color shows up great on your review! Those roots are much darker for sure! I loved your unboxing! Can’t wait for the rest of your reviews on the new JR styles❣️

Gaining wisdom: UGH!!! I'm in love!!! It was hard to sit through the whole video, because all I could think about, was going to check price! Lol! I'm so glad I did though, because once again there was so much valuable info that made me love it more! Gave wonderful ideas on how to make it my own❤Thaks again Taz, for a wonderful video!!

Sally Smack: Another thorough review. Thank you! I hope Jon Renau heard you mention that this wig would look better if the light colors had been interspersed along that front hairline.

Ursula Powers: I love JR’s January wig! I think I will add Maya to my collection because it looks like a longer and wavier version of January! Thanks, Taz! Love your attitude!

Jackie Marsh: This is a Beautiful One!! You Look Just Totally Gorgeous in Her Sweet Friend!! Love Her, I Need to Check This One Out!! Thank You Sooo Much for a Perfect Review as Always!! Have a Wonderful and Blessed Week!! Love and Hugs!! XOXOXO

Gloria Lagroon: Good morning Taz! What's not to love with this one? ☺ She's got beautiful perfect curls and style! Thank you for the review and information. Have a wonderful day sweet friend!

Margaret Tassey: Thanks for the review. You always look so good in those very curly styles.

Take Control Beauty: Good morning TAZ ohmygoodness u look beautiful in this wig and this color is pretty on you ! I am loving this length of wigs lately ! I'm 8 inches from my head to chin I must have a long face lol ! Okay so ur getting younger every video ! Tell me ur secret and I'll do a video about it JR has beautiful wigs and they last forever ! Enjoy ur after Halloween candy :) Love ya Babs

Michelle Diekman: This Wig has Everything I love length wise and Curls! The Color is So pretty too, Love your outfit and Jewelry, You look as Beautiful as always, Great Review Dear Friend

Danielle Colonna: Thanks for your always informative reviews, Taz! It’s disappointing that Jon Renau is still ignoring there customers critiques at this point re the dark knotting at the lacefront. Particularly since they seem to have darkened the root on this application. They should take a page from BT’s book. They actually listen and it’s so refreshing! It seems as though they’ve even gotten rid of the purple/maroon cast to BBB’s rooting. Oh well.

MichelePearl: I adore this one! No surprise on that! All that gorgeous layering! Beautiful.

jayandess: Lovely style. Sometimes a JR cap can come up big. I have an Allure which is like that - it feels much larger than all my other JR pieces! With my glasses I find it all depends how low the ear tabs fall on a given style. Its ideal if they rest about a finger's width above the ear but it rarely happens for me. I guess its all down to individual head measurements. I quite often end up having to bend the ear tabs slightly to get glasses to fit really comfortably.

Jean Jacobs: Greetings Taz! I absolutely love this one! I love those curls. She reminds me of another style that has actual barrel curls, but I don't remember which one. Beautiful! Love and blessings ❤

Dianne Rogers: Another adorable wig! I only have 1 Jon Renau lace front and I found it to be unbearably itchy! My other lace fronts from other brands have been fine. The itchy one I have is Kaley. Do you feel that JR lace fronts have improved recently?

Michele KT: I love that the curls are on the looser side yet it still has lots of volume! Very nice!

Eva Russell: Love this style. Thanks Taz

Jerry Scott: Jon Renau seems to have created a true winner with Maya. Thank you for sharing your impressions of Maya.

Peggy Johnson: Love this wig, now I mabe need this one, lol.

Paula Hulke: As Always....looks Great! ✅

Warren Capon: Another great presentation Taz. Unboxing the new wig and just how you go about it was very informative, I was a bit worried about your knife skills, but understand the reason. Of course the Jon Renau Maya looked great.

Sharon D'Amico: I like the way you did this unboxing. It was helpful to see how you start out and end up with the styling. And the no makeup made the whole thing realistic. Thanks!!

MichelePearl: You are so right about taking the lighter color all the way to the hairline. Absolutely an important point.

Bonnie Dicostanzo: Taz this kind of reminds me of a Belle Tress Caribou without the curls up top. Beautiful style as always thank you for the review. Xoxo

Lynn McKenzie: Love this style, wish I could find a color that works, those roots are way too dark for me.

geanne payne: STUNNING!♥️♥️

Ibelieveinangels yesido: Really cute but way out of my league pricewise. Really pretty on you, Taz. Blessings! Jackie in upstate NY

Renee Dalziel: Another adorable style on you! I think this is the first time I’ve heard you say your face length. That helps a lot to envision the wig on myself. What is J and F behind you? TIA!

J & S: It reminds me of a longer January . I love it! ❤

Donna: I really enjoy watching all your videos. I've purchased a lot of the same pieces you've shown, but during the summer heat..."Oh mercy"..I live in the Hill Country of Texas and I'm sure you've heard of the heat and humidity in Texas. Do you still wear wigs in the hot summer? I wish they'd make something that keeps us comfortable during the heat. I get so hot I just start pulling everything off and I don't care who's watching..lol.

Amelia Armstrong: Amazing ❤

Candy Chand: Taz, you’ve probably addresses this before—but is Jon Renau part of the Noriko company? The packaging looks similar, and I’ve had the best luck with Noriko products. Thanks, again, for a great review.

Geraldine: This is so beautiful! My dream wig! How does this compare to the Miley by Wig Pro that you reviewed last week?

granny beauty & boxes over 65: Beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing

Kerstin Evers: Thank you for your great videos and the good and helpful tips. You are wonderful and beautiful. Greetings from Berlin, Germany

Amy Rutherford-Close: This is a TAZ style Happy November

Kelly Verbeek: Ya know taz, you could just quit your day job and offer styling for synthetic wigs… I’d pay that fee. I’m awesome at styling hair, but my frustration with these wigs makes me send them all back.

Mary Deardorff: Love this one! Beautiful. What is on wighead E?

Susan Czel: Very cute style on you Taz. Looks like a lot of hair, but very pretty on you.

Thomas Grafe: Jon Renau stellt sehr schöne Wigs her!

DeDe Millikan: Love it!!!!!

Patty Carosi: Beautiful Taz!

Amy Smyly: Hi Taz, this is beautiful! What styles are H and U please?

Lana Leah: My gosh, Taz, I just love you to bits!

Надежда Гарнага: Здравствуйте! Могу ли я заказать такой парик в Россию и сколько это будет стоить?

Rhonda W: Oh no! I like this one!!!

Jane Floyd: Hi Taz, what is A? Colour looks lovely.

Elizabeth Currie: My Amber in Palm Springs Blonde would be closer to a grey than a blonde. JR needs a champagne blonde.

Mehul Jain: Modern Snowhite

Peggy Johnson: Oops wondering what E is?

popgems: Darling! What is "M" behind you?
