How To | Red To Honey Blonde With No Bleach

In this video I will be coloring my hair from red to honey blonde. First I used color oops to remove the red color. Then I failed on my first attempt by coloring the hair with Clairol Textures & Tones Honey Blonde TWICE. The hair came out orange so I attempted toning orange hair with purple shampoo and Wella T11. That didn’t work either. Finally, I was able to go from brassy to ashy hair color by toning blonde hair with Revlon ColorSilk Medium Ash Blonde.

Please don’t be like me and do all of these processes within the span of 48 hours. My scalp was on FIRE!

What'S up guys welcome back to my channel today, i have another hair video on today's episode of destroying my hair, the worst way. I know how i'm going to be trying to get honey blonde out of this kind of reddish brown color. Now for one my hair is not natural anymore. I put a relaxer on it about four weeks ago. You can go see the video of that it was a disaster, it ended up being more tex-lax than anything, and i also prior to the relaxer was coloring it. Maybe every month, every two months, a red color, not necessarily a specific brand. I would just always color it red i use l'oreal highlights at one point, intense red. I use an adora color at one point, dark and lovely. I just really picked whatever red and it faded down to this kind of orangey color. I did just put a color oops treatment to try and get some of the residual color out of the hair, so that, when i put the blonde on it, doesn't cause a reaction and make it like a weird color. Because i've been seeing a lot of people who have been dyeing their hair blonde, but they have some sort of like residual color left over from like long ago, and it turns like turns like this color. So i did that in hopes that that will help some. I'M not gon na lie the color oops application that i did was really sloppy. I put it on um, they said, don't use any like outside heat source. I put a blow dryer on it. They said to wash it for 15 to 20 minutes. I washed it twice and that was it. I didn't see any color coming out into the sink. I didn't see anything in the suds. I didn't see any color that was being pulled out. So i was like this is pointless. I'M not gon na keep doing this. So anyways, let's just start with this, just wanted to give you a little bit of a history on where my hair is at so, depending on how it turns out, you will have a better idea of whatever the result may be. We don't know we don't see. This is what i'm using uh clairol, no ammonia, textures and tones 6g honey blonde. Beside my hair is i'm guessing. It will probably come out to be this color we're going to see. I literally have bought six boxes. I got all of these off of amazon if i remember i'll, go ahead and put a link in the description box really, the only reason i got this color, because this was the only one that allowed me to buy six at one time. The other ones had a maximum of two, and i just wanted to get extra just in case i mess up, it doesn't take whatever. I also got this wella t11 toner. So if the color comes out a little bit too yellow for my liking, i'm gon na tone it down. Let me just mix this up, i mean everybody knows how to mix color. You just put the one and the two together and shake it up. My hair. Actually is um still damp, i'm not sure if you're supposed to be, if you can color hair, that is damp, i saw a video that said you could and that it actually makes it better, i'm so careless with my hair. Sometimes i know people probably watch these videos and just cringe. I saw somebody on the real on the relaxer video they're, like no don't put relaxer on it. I'M like the video, is literally shot and edited already like it's already done so, oh no, some of it spilled. So i just have my hair sectioned in these four little sections. What i'm going to try to do is make sure i do the shaft of the hair first, instead of getting close to the loops, because i've been noticing a lot of these videos. People are starting at the roots and just doing the whole thing, and the roots are turning out way lighter than the rest of the hair and that's what i do not want. Let'S start this: let's get this show on the road, so, as you can see, my hair is pretty like orange. It almost looks like ginger. I see a party is this. I don't know, i don't think i'm seeing any changes back here, but we gon na stay. I bought extras i need to do it again. Is all right so to make a long story short, because i have like probably a couple hours worth of footage of me just continuously doing my hair, i'm not even going to include that so far. What i've done is i've colored my hair twice with this, the textures and tones 6g honey blonde i've colored my hair twice. I did one application yesterday and i believe i did the second application today um, because i was trying to like space it out. Then i also shampooed my hair with purple shampoo, and i also after that toned my hair with wella toner um tea willow toner tea 11.. This is the result of all of those treatments. Now my hair is still pretty orange and that's not the result that i was looking for. I think it's orange like this, because i used a honey blonde and my hair was already red, so um because, as you can see on the roots, it got kind of that more honey blonde color. But on there like actual hair, it's kind of orange, the welded toner that i had got didn't work. So i saw this video where this girl um toned her hair with hair dye. So what i went and did is i got this medium ash blonde hair dye. It was only three dollars. I got two boxes and we're about to apply this hair color kind of like as a toner, but also just like dye, my hair third time um, and if this doesn't work, i don't know what i'm gon na. Do i'm just at that point. I'M just gon na leave it alone, because that means it's not meant to be, so i will show you guys how i apply this. I applied the other colors the same exact way. I essentially just part my hair in four sections. I apply the dye to the shaft of the hair first and then i go back through and do roots, that's how i've been doing it. I'Ve also noticed that the mid shaft of my hair is processing faster for some reason, as you can even kind of see here like the mid shaft is lighter than the bottom. So what i might even do again with this one is put the color on the ends. First, let that process and then go back in and do the rest. I'M gon na mix um one bottle at a time, so i'm not gon na mix the second bottle until i'm done with the first one, because i don't want it to start processing while it's in the bottle and not on my hair, i'm going to put on Some music so time lapse starts now i've been thinking, precious is uh. My scalp is literally on by your like. Oh, oh help me help me jesus, i'm pretty sure this is not a good idea. This is the last color. I can't it's hurts so bad. It'S like burning, i don't know how long i can say with this in my head, but i'm trying to do 10 minutes, because when i tell y'all it literally, it's literally like burning just imagine this is my fourth treatment chemical treatment. I'Ve done on my hair in the past two days like i'm just gon na clean up, and hopefully that will take my life. Oh my freaking goodness, i cannot once i see the color is where i want it to be. I'M rinsing this out with cold water. I can't breathe, i literally can't do it anymore, i'm not exactly sure how long this has even been on my head. I want to say 10 minutes but like it burns, so bad and the color looks okay to me. So i'm like i'm just gon na rinse. It out i'm just i can't i can't i can't i can't okay, so i went and rinsed out the medium ash blonde color, and this is what it's looking like now. This is more what i was going for. This is actually a color that i can get behind. I'M not sure if y'all can really tell the difference, but it's a lot more toned a lot more of a honey blondish situation rather than just like a super orangey thing. So i'll do a little 3-6. So i'm very happy with my results, so i do highly recommend to tone your hair with a actual um box dye, something that has like ash blonde or something in it, and you will most likely get the color that you want. This is exactly the color that i was going for, and i finally got it after so many chemical processes i'm about to go base. My scalp, because my scalp is it was like literally burning uh, when i did that last really, like the last three treatments, my scalp was burning. I feel like i'm gon na, have several chemical burns, but anyways. Thank you guys for watching. I know this was another kind of fail video of mine, but thank you for watching the next video that i'll be doing is me doing um my starter locks, i'm gon na be restarting my lock journey and i'm gon na be doing two string twists. So, if you're interested in seeing that make sure you subscribe hit the notification bell, so you know you'll be able to see anytime. I upload a new video and that's it

Tator That: Daisha: “it’s like burning” Also Daisha: proceeds to try to squeeze more out of the bottle girl it turned out cute ! You brave lol

Jaaxy Jackie: I can’t wait to see your hair when It’s dry and styled, it going to be so pretty that color looks natural on you.

Natural_Journee: This is my fave color/dye to use, even tho it never gets my hair this bright but I recently bleached my locs and it can out this color! I posted a vid of my experience on my channel too!

JustKen💕: I feel like I'm watching raven video again lol I love the end color on you

Delilah-Gladys Wilson: I’m in need of a new hair color. I bought the dye but I’m being a scaredy cat

djsmoochie: Lmao! You are too funny . The end result is lovely though so I’m guessing it was worth the pain.

Lynne McMonagle: Here’s a tip, look for fast hair growth fortified shampoo to double hair growth.

Clara Simpson: Thanks for sharing so truthfully

Nefer A'isha: Oh honey...using box dyes, you are literally using bleach, peroxide or ammonia on your hair; idc what the box says lol, it's in there but in smaller amounts. And that's why your scalp was burning. Also you can't lift color with color lol which is why your roots took & the ends didnt. Reds are the most difficult color to remove from your hair, you have to bleach it out, unless you are going darker. Color Oops is trash, Colour B4 is way better. The easiest thing would have been to apply a bleach bath (bleach, 20 developer & shampoo mixture) to your red ends to pull as much red as you could out. Once you're satisfied with that (I wouldn't do it more than twice); then applied the honey blonde to the ends. As soon a you notice the color changing, hit the roots & cover with a shower cap and let it process. Going from red to blonde is one of the most difficult things to do, even for licensed stylists. But your hair came out nice. Keep it moisturized because you blasted those cuticles lol

Nadine Modé: I'm loving the color. But, the torture you put your scalp through!!! Child! I screamed when you said it was burning . It's like I felt it. Please, nurture the scalp!!!!! Love you girl! Are you planning on relaxing your hair again?

Chanti V.: heyyy! so i dyed my hair last night using the same box dye and my roots were grown out so it lifted my roots well but not the rest of my hair. so you did 2 rounds of the dye correct? like u applied the first washed it and then did it again? sorry i’m just trying to figure out how to fix the mess on my head bc i don’t want to go back dark

Susan Sierra: GIRL GO WASH THAT OUT OMG HURRY WASH IT OUT

Nanc Neumann: heard her whisper 'pray for me'

Alissa Simmons: Your hair is brown not red though

wordup41: Nice job but it’s burning because you combed the color and that’s a no no.
