How To Cut Curtain Bangs On A Wig | Nadula Honey Blonde Wig Review

So of course, i'm going to show you what's inside the box, a very detailed version of how i layered my units and styled them. If i'm gon na do good at that audition, we got to look like stars. I received this unit during the holiday, so i received a bunch of goodies. So what i got was a wig cap. Some christmas goodies, a head, wrap and a big bag of a lot of things. This is some clips. Another head wrap some eyelashes a wig bag in a very cute tote bag. So i'm definitely going to be shopping in this. As you can see, i received a highlighted, honey blonde human hair wig at 150 density. She is a transparent lace unit. She has a 13 by 4 lace, wig at 24 inches. So we are going to bleach the knots on this unit. First, i'm going to take my quick blue powder and mix it with 45 developer and getting my adore eggplant dye and putting two drops up in there mixing that together and then we're gon na get grab our wig get our got to be glue, blast, free spray, Spray that hairline comb, those little hairs back to avoid over bleaching apply that bleach. Let it sit for about 30 minutes. I let it sit for about 30 minutes, but i think the time is about 15. So y'all don't over bleach your knots, okay, but i washed this out after about an hour because yo girl forgot about this week, i'm not gon na lie. I'M gon na get my purple conditioner and i put that all throughout the lace and the hair just so. I can get rid of any you know orangey tones, so this is the next day the hair is air, dried we're going to be working on the bangs first, so we're going to grab our wig. So here i'm going to cut the ear tabs off. First, if you already are using like an older wig and the lace is already cut, you can skip this step entirely. Just put the wig on top of your head and then part a middle part and then wet up your hair. By the way you guys. So here i'm going to part my unit in like a triangle, so here i'm parting it towards my eyebrow, like i'm ending the parting near my eyebrow, and that's how i want my you know: bang to fall so definitely go back and forth and see how much Hair you would like, i parted, probably like two inches worth of a triangle, and then here is some water uh. I watched a lot of like tutorials and they were like. Oh cut your hair when it's wet. So this is me trying to be a stylist. So once you have your perfect triangle here, i am measuring where i want my bang to fall. The stylus was talking about near the nose mouth, so that's where i put it, but the next time around i'll put it past. My mouth like closer to my jaw or not my jaw but my chin, but yeah i cut near under my nose or my upper lip and that's where i am going to have my bangs. That'S how long my bangs is going to be and, as you can see, the bangs did end up becoming very short, so yeah i recommend going longer than what i did and so now it's time for the curtain bangs. So, as you can see, it's a blunt chop, we're going to have that layered effect. So here's a trick part it back in the middle and get one side comb it over and then measure it all the way up to the shortest piece which is right here and then i cut the excess hair off but make sure you cut it at a Diagonal upper um position like it's all within, like you know how you position your hand with cutting hair. So this is my first time actually like doing the full curtain. Bang layered look! So i'm actually pretty proud of myself. I'M gon na try this more often to get better at it and yeah you guys should too, you know. Practice makes perfect, get up out that old, wig and practice on like cutting your units, especially the units you don't wear anymore. Just so you can get some practice in and be your own stylist, so a tip to make sure you are doing this correctly is once you cut everything, make sure the smallest parts of your hair on both sides are the same length and the outer parts are The same length, that's how you can tell that you're doing it correctly and it's going to layer. So now we are on shaping. So here i am parting, the hair, the frontal, the rest of this hair and i'm going to do the same exact effect of what i did with the bangs and matching up the longest piece cut out a diagonal and then cut the rest of the hair off. I was kind of spooked because it was a lot of hair that i'm cutting off y'all, but you know it'll all work out. You know i don't know. I was real nervous with cutting this unit. I thought i was gon na have to cut like a whole bob, because i didn't know if this is gon na work. Good, oh mind you, i'm cutting this hair wet, so i think it's best to cut the hair wet it's easier to like slice. You know through the hair, with your shears and then i'm doing the same effect on one side. I just match it up to the shortest piece and then cut the rest off and see it's already. Looking layered and looking like a wolf, it's giving like a very much wolf cut in a way, but i'm doing the same thing on the other side so part your unit. I went all the way back to the end of the frontal a little bit more in the tracks, so it can be layered all the way around um but yeah once you finish that and as much as you can part, then here i am going to layer. The rest of this hair so with layering make sure your hair is at a v shape, like the whole unit, is at a v shape, so see how i'm cutting along the shorter hairs all the way down. As like, it's going down a hill, we're gon na create a v shape form the middle is the longest piece. If that makes sense, i think it makes sense and then, once you finish, cutting a perfect v, then you're gon na go in and just cut vertically. So what we're going to do is part the hair vertically and then raise it up in the air at a 90 degree angle, and then, once you get to the shortest piece, you cut the rest off just like that and that's how you layer across your whole, Head just keep doing that all throughout the whole head until you reach to the other side and that's how you layer throughout your whole unit and make it look so volumous. Okay - and this is the final result i knew i was doing a good job when it looks cute wet okay, so i knew it was going to come out really good. So i'm going to take my straight guard by she and we're going to blow dry this unit, so just work that product throughout the hair. Look at me looking like a stylist over here. I am good at this y'all. So here i got these brushes off of amazon. They have so many different sizes, but today we're going to use this size. I don't even know what size this is. It might be an inch we're going to take our blow dryer we're going to heat up that comb and get your heat protectant spray against the comb, and then here we're just going to comb and twirl this hair. Honestly, i can't really teach this because this was hard enough on me. I didn't know if i was doing you know a good job, but i realized, like i start to you, know, apply the heat to the comb and then just turn the brush see how i turn the brush and then have the blow dryer on it. This is going to create that nice little bump at the end and just make that nice, like big flowy, look like look at this, it's giving chaka khan, you know so here, i'm just bumping the ends and once you blow dried everything i blow dry it away. So i curl it away from the hair, the head and yeah. This is where i'm going to re-cut. So i'm going to be layering. It again so see how the bang is like slanted. So i'm trying to match the rest of the hair like that, like the top version, so i cut three different levels into this hair and just making sure everything flows like. I think this is just more of like an art form like just diagonally cut any hair. So if any hair looks choppy make sure you just mash that up and then cut diagonally, i think that makes sense but see how it like flows. Look at that hair. It just flows. It looks like a river - i don't know, i don't know, but you guys can see like the layeredness of this unit and how the ends flow and, as you can see, it's still straight right here. So i had to go back in with my blow dryer and just bump the end, so i can see how the hair is going to flow when i start curling it so once we are finished here, i'm going to pluck this unit. I have plenty of videos of how i pluck this unit. You can actually skip this step honestly, because yeah most of the hair is going to be covering the frontal anyways. You just want to make sure you know that middle part looks good. So now it's time to curl this unit, the important part i don't have the big curlers so we're just going to use my hairspray some clips and a nice half an inch barrel, curling iron. So at the bottom of the unit i like to curl upwards. Does that make sense curl up against the face at the bottom couple of tracks, and then i am pan curling, it don't forget to add your hairspray to the hair first and then curling it and then adding your pins. So here on this step, like this is like the middle part of the head, i sprayed the hairspray and now i'm going to curl at a vertical shape, so you know how at the bottom, i'm curling vertically or no horizontally? Oh geometry. No! This is not! Geometry! Girl, i'm all over the place, but here i'm curling this hair away from the head vertically, simple, always curl away. If you want that nice airy, like 70s, look um yeah and then, if you want the nice like 90s look, you curl inwards, see. Look at me. I'M learning new things. This is kind of like my favorite part, because, like it's it's just giving like, i love, pin curls, it's just so fun to do it's my favorite type of style to do honestly, and then this hair looks so gorgeous in the pen curls. Like it looks like an art piece, i did not want to take these pancreas out because it just looks so like art. I need to open up like a beauty, art museum. I don't know i'm just talking. While this video goes honestly, we already 12 minutes in - and i have not even put this hair on my head. Yet it's gon na be a long video, but it's very informational. So, as you can see, i curled the middle part of my head vertically and now at the top part of my head, i'm curling horizontally again away from the head, so this is going to create that nice, big, voluminous, look and then yeah just pin curl that Up, i avoided curling the frontal, because i wanted the curls to shape my face and not the dome head yay. We are finally installing this unit. It took me so long to layer that unit y'all so take your time.
