Thank you so much to Clairol Professional for partnering with me to bring you a hair coloring video. As many of you know I wanted to go blonde once again but I was afraid for my hair considering how far i've come. Here are my results using the Textures & Tones hair dye designed for women of color. They have 15 other shades that you can choose from.

I'M a blonde down, hey guys. Oh welcome back to my channel, of course, if you haven't noticed, if you didn't hear the first part I'm blonde now, you know I hate first, a hair because of the shrinkage. I have a small role, there's not a lot for some volume, but I thought I'd show you guys with my hair. Look how it looks right after believe it or not. All of this was done. With a box die no bleach, just a box die I've actually teamed up with Claire a professional to go blonde for this video. The hair dye itself is actually designed for women of color for women with natural hair. So clearly here are the last fan. As you can see my curves are. I think you can even see the curl pattern better. So let's go back to November 8th, which is a day that actually got my hair dyed. This is like birthday haircut right there. After a lot of birds because of the weather, so you do have, I'm not sure if you guys knew this been kind of it's good to head dye, your hair on dirty hair make sure to do a patch test beforehand. I am not allergic to this. Already. All right so uh, but that being said, that's good hi, it's presently merrily, and so before we do get the hair done. I, of course I think the most important partners to talk about the actual hair dye right because we are putting this thing in our hip. The box, I that I used was unlighted blog. The product itself is ammonia, free and it has no peroxide over oil and actually has these files botanical extracts, which helps with the fading process. So it's like an anti fade formula and they'll help keep your color in your head. So inside the box, you're gon na find about four things. The first one, of course, is going to be the liquid normal, no moisture, rich hair color that you're going to mix with step two, which is the texture, toes color activating cream. Now the last thing you need in your make sure, of course, is this texture and tone booster packing. The booster pack, of course, is just to boost the color up, but just a little more once that's all mixed in my hair was already divided into the different sections that she was gon na. Do my hair? Let'S agree that she did since I wanted highlights. We were going for sort of like that Bali eyes effect, so she would just section off each part and tease it up at the root and then comb out the rest and start applying the dye and then, while she did that she would add the foils so That the process could speed up much quicker by the time she was finished for, like the front pieces, the back of my hair was already lightning quickly, and this is where you can see how light my hair already was without even living it and for the amount Of time she decided to go around my head with some of the dye and I'm just adding a little more highlights around the rest of my head, and this is what my hair looked like after the photos were removed now to rinse off the color. We use the clear professionals I thrive, shampoo, so supposed to enhance and lock the color that has been placed into my hair. Why use a conditioner that comes with the hair dye? Actually - and I left this in my hair for like about five minutes - and I brushed it in two just to really make sure my hair was conditioned - I went ahead an I styled, my hair as normal, and this is just here, my hair. What and this is the final result, even after my hair was dyed, and even after the conditioning in the washing, my hair still did not feel dry at all once and I believe it's just because in the hohohoh oil it's meant to be very moisturizing and that's Something we need when here is curly scissor hair is naturally already dry. I was very surprised and very excited because I first of all, I didn't really think that just with one box, I are just with one step. My hair would go so light and, secondly, I was kind of afraid of my hair kind of like being dried up or just not feeling like itself and, on the contrary, my hair feels really soft. I mean, I think you guys can tell, and so everything that was kind of afraid of didn't happen. So that's like a good sign for me. I was kind of like scared down my curl pattern with change, but if anything I feel, like my hair, looks even curlier, I'm not sure if it's just because the blonde is highlighting the curls that I have and a lot of you guys have been asking or Kind of wanted to go fun without the damage and, honestly, if you are interested just based on what it did to my hair, I recommend it again. My hair was virgin hair. My hair was a dark brown and yeah. This is how my hair looks now. Thank you guys so much for watching and as always, I will see you guys in my next video

Dante Velasquez: It looks beautiful. Be aware however that that was likely a high lift dye color and that will only work on virgin hair. Any previously darkened hair will not lift with a high lift and will require bleach. Also, in spite of what these companies tell you there is no such thing as a color booster or a color lock in treatment. All permanent colors and tones will fade over time, but you can use a color enhancing conditioner to slow down the process, and as long as you condition to seal the cuticle, it will help prevent color molecule loss. Lastly, ammonia free does not mean that the color is not drying, stripping or damaging, it just means that it was replaced with a different alkalizing agent which will open the cuticle to allow the color molecules to enter the cortex. All alkalizing agents, including the sulfates in shampoos, will open the hair cuticle and leave it vulnerable to moisture loss and dryness. That being said, hair color is not necessarily damaging when done in moderation. As long as you properly care for the hair after it was processed with a nonsurfactant shampoo regimen, followed by regular co-washing and conditioning your hair will be just fine :-)

I got my hair texturized as a kid and the damage was very traumatic and ever since then, I don’t even like blow drying my hair. Right now it is doing so well but I’m afraid of dying it and messing it again. But your video really made me want to try it because you said that nothing went wrong. Thank you for the great video!

Juss Sayin: No offense but the Clairol Professional website does not say that this product has no peroxide. It has to have some kind of peroxide/bleach in order to lighten natural color.
Samantha Ivy: You said you had your hair dyed on dirty hair, but the instructions for all of their colors is to shampoo your hair 1 day before you color your hair. I used this color many times before. It is pretty on you though. Thanks for your video.

The Master Diamond of My Life: This is a High-Lift blonde hair color and has a higher volume developer in a 1:2 ratio. Her natural hair is not a level 1 black. She looks to be maybe a level 3 or 4 with a few lighter streaks throughout. Pretty young thing. Very good video.
