Hey everyone is Teena Marie welcome back to my channel we're gon na talk about why I'm doing this in just a second but I'm using L'Oreal, hi color highlights in the color magenta. I bought two boxes, but I only ended up using one. So I'm putting on my gloves and putting that into this color safe Bowl and I have 30 developer. You could use 40 and I'm just measuring how much to use it says. Use 2.4 ounces. So I'm just measuring that in that bottle and I'm going to pour it on top of the color next. You just want to make sure that you mix it really well until it's nice and smooth, so I parted my hair so for sections, because it's just going to make the process easier for me and I was trying to decide if I wanted to do my whole Head magenta, but I decided that I wanted my roots to be black and I was just gon na do most of the strands magenta now I am NOT a professional at all, but this is how I have always done my hair. Every time I would color my hair, so I was using that, but I decided to use my hands because it's just easier for me and I get to put it exactly where I want it. So I'm just making sure that I have it on each strand that I want and I'm just working in sections, and I continue to do that through the whole process, and I know y'all are probably like what is going on. You had just said earlier this year that you wanted to keep your hair black, that you want to do protective styles, I mean you just posted a video showing your braids. So let me explain. I was missing my hair and I was missing my color, so I decided to color my hair um. I left the braids in for about three weeks and I know I said I was gon na keep my hair black until the end of the year. So I think I did pretty good cuz. I made it halfway through the year, so try not to come for me, but I really have commitment issues when it comes to my hair, but I'm gon na try to like wear my hair out more often because I really just want to like give my hair. Some tender loving care and just keep it moisturized and do everything I can to keep it flourishing. So when I'm done with a section, I just go ahead and swirl it up into a big bantu knot, and I continue to do that throughout the rest of my hair. So this is what my hair looks like when I'm done, I'm just going through it again. Just making sure I have every strand coated how I want it exactly where I want it, and also I didn't even use the whole thing. So that's because I didn't like get my roots and I didn't do my whole head because usually I would need to to make sure that everything is covered. But if you're trying to do something like this, then one thing will be good for you. So I actually didn't want my hair to be really really bright. This time. I wanted it to be more of a dark, burgundy color. I wanted you to see the color, but I didn't want it to just pop in your face, so the directions say that you leave this on for 30 minutes. You can also add heat if you want to, but I just left it on for about 20 minutes and I didn't sit under the dryer. I'Ve done this so many times so I just know the outcome. So I just did 20 minutes and I didn't sit under the dryer and once I was done, I washed it out, and this is what it looks like. I actually love the color and how it came out. This is exactly the look that I was going for. I'M it's not so bright, but you could still see the color and it's still giving you that little bit of pop, so what I am doing next, I got this from Sally's. Also. It says that a step number two, it's a color sealer and it's from the company I on. So I just like to put this on my hair. Afterwards, it's basically like sealing in your color and it's just like a conditioner, and you just leave it on for about 10 minutes. I left mine on for 15 minutes so same difference, but it's just sealing in your color and it's making sure that your color isn't dull or anything like that is super duper moisturizing and I just put a cap on afterwards and just let that sit you could Sit under the dryer with this one as well, but I didn't, and so after that 15 minutes was up. I rinsed it out, and this is what the color looks like. So I just then went ahead and proceeded to style, my hair and I will show you a picture at the very end, but that is it y'all. I hope that you enjoyed the video. Let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns, make sure that you like comment and subscribe to my channel.
