How To: Colour Lace Closure/Frontal Without Staining And Bleach Knots

Hey guys here is a quick and easy way to dye your closure or frontal without staning the lace.

I used the following:

Applications brush

Petroleum Base

Joico bleach

30% Developer Ion

Matrix Purple Shampoo

Foil

Comb and brush

I used Color brilliance 1NN to color the hair.

I used a garbage back to protect my counter top and of course gloves.

Hey guys, coming with a quick video showing you how to actually color your closure and bleach the knots I'm using base that you would use when you are relaxing your hair and make sure that I spread that all over to protect the lace so that the lace Doesn'T get any color from the dykes of dyeing it jet black? So, as you can see, I kind of smeared it all over pushed it in slightly and now I'm ready to go so I'm going with a jet black, because this is like a natural brown and when you do this normally it can definitely ruin your closure. And you actually get like black stains on the actual lace, so I'm just going ahead, I'm just being very careful, I'm not trying to push the dye down into the lace. I'M trying to get you know, keep it quite neat and making sure that I'm covering all the areas I do use a brush to smooth the color through, so that it kind of gets an even coverage again, I'm not putting any of the diet on the lace. I'M being very careful the base is there just to kind of add a second level of protection, I'm going to go back over and just kind of make sure that I got everything and I'm gon na. Let that process for about 35 minutes, as you can see, nothing's on the lace. So after 35 minutes I go ahead and I rinse the closure off trying to remove as much dye as possible I'll hold the tip of the lace just so that I can kind of rinse the dye out of the hair. First, before I move on to rinsing off the actual closure, because again you don't want any of the diet's come in contact with the lace and damages. So I'm just rinsing out all the black dye you're gon na notice that there's still some of the base on there. I switched the water to hot water and you'll just see it kind of melting away, as you can see there and obviously it's petroleum. It'S gon na repel water, so you have to do something to kind of remove that so after ever moved as much as I can with hot water, as you can see, you could see some of it still like the little holes of the lace. I'M gon na go ahead and use shampoo, I'm gon na shampoo two times just to make sure that I get rid of all of that. You don't want that in there when you're going to move on to the next step, which is bleaching the knots. So you want to remove all of that by shampooing twice, so I'm just detangling it out of bits, and just you know, I said for the third time I'm just gon na give it another rinse just to make sure that everything has been removed and there's no More bass stuck in the little holes of the lace closure, so, as you can see, no damage, no black dye. Your lace is perfect. It'S protected no issues. So now I'm going to move quickly on to the bleaching of knots, I'm using joy, Cole, it's my favorite bleach to use I'm gon na use that with a 30 developer guys, you don't need to add so much of the bleach powder. I did that because I actually have more than one closure that I need to bleach the knots for so what I do is I usually mix it and I let it sit for about a minute and you'll notice that the consistency gets really thick a little thicker Than I want so I leave it for a minute. I let it sit and then I go back in and I'll add a little bit more after about a minute and then it becomes like a more creamy texture. So I'm gon na go ahead and start the process, I'm just smoothing out the hair to make sure none of the hairs are forward. I don't want any of that bleach, especially because I just colored it black, so I'm just getting the hairs out the way and I'm gon na go ahead with a brush and I'm gon na start with the front hairline and make sure that all the knots are Covered while I'm doing that, I kind of press down ever so gently with the brush to make sure that you know the bleach gets to not only just the lace. But a little bit of the root area doesn't have to be perfect because my clients only did a word a middle part and, as I said, I've mixed as much as I did, because I actually had two closures to do so. As you can see, two different closures go ahead. Drop some fall on that. Let that process for about 10-15 minutes voila. It'S done! You'Ll notice! It'S done because you'll see like this orange yellowish kind of look underneath and that's what it looks like up close and just going to show you the middle. I personally don't like to over bleach my closure because it will go bald, so I just do it so that it has like a nice brown tint more than a really blond one, because I, like my closures to last a long time. This is for my client and I don't want her complaining about it going bald because it was over bleached. As you can see, it looks pretty natural we just rinsed, it out looks pretty good there's some areas that have a little bit of a brassy. Look to it. I'M going to show you how to fix that. So you see that area Taurasi, don't like that at all, not cute at all, so I'm just going to go ahead and grab some toning shampoo, which is a purple shampoo. I use the one for matrix. I love that one go ahead, spread it all over use an applicator brush just to kind of push it in making sure that it goes down into the root as well flip it around just to make sure that it's covered, and I let that process guys and That'S pretty much it simple easy. Let that sit for about 10-15 minutes and brashness will be gone thanks for watching guys.
