Hey y'all: what's up welcome back to another video, today's video, as you bet by the title we are going to attempt to light in my hair, my dress, my locs what-have-you, with no bleach in my previous video. If you watched it, if not I'll, go ahead and link it above, I attempted to get my hair to like a copper color using the overtone, colouring conditioner. The reason I use. That is because I don't want to put like bleach in my hair. I already have like dry, hair and scalp, and I just don't want to do anything. That'S further. Gon na make my locs, you know brittle or dried loon babies here on YouTube. One of our family members down in the comments was like what hey, if you're, trying to go for a copper look, you can probably achieve it just using developer 30 or 40 volume developer with no bleach in that blue online, because I was just like I didn't Know that developer was even like an active thing away from color. You know, I thought you can only mix it to color and it will develop the color, but I didn't know you can use it on your own on its own. So that is what we're gon na attempt to do so shout out to you little babies. I got a 30 volume developer. I don't know if I should, I was afraid to get 40, because I know it's like stronger and I don't again trying to do minimal damage to my hair. I don't exactly know how much developer will damage your hair, but I do know how damaging bleach can be, and I know that developer isn't gon na. Do that so yeah. So I'm gon na put this on. It seems pretty easy rich. Honestly, we can kind of just hop right into it right now, alright. So this is our starting point. This is my natural hair color. It has not been dyed, it has not been bleached or processed or anything like that. So we're going straight from natural locs and essentially what we're gon na do. I'M gon na go ahead and apply me a glove now. Just me personally, I don't want to light in my entire head, starting at the root. You know I just want to kind of go for the ends and have a nice, like you know, upgrading it. I guess you can say so. I'M just gon na take my developer here and I'm just gon na. Do this as simple as possible, and essentially I'm just gon na go ahead, get some developer! Oh my gosh! I'M spilling it already that wasn't smart. I grabbed a paper plate and honestly, I'm just gon na go ahead and pour some developer onto the plate in a way that I'm gon na go about applying. This is I'm just gon na take my glove in like coating, the glove in the developer, and then I'm just gon na go ahead and run that through the tips in my hair, I'm just kinda. You know finger it through massage it through just on the tips, as I get to towards the front. You guys are gon na be able to see better getting it nice and coated you see and I'm kind of like letting them hang so that way like I'm, not grabbing some of the roots from the the locks above it. So I'm like no I'm only getting the tips, you know all right, so, as you can see, all of my ends are now coated with the developer. If I see some spots that are more dry than others, I'm just going in and adding more I've used. Probably I think I'm only at like half of the bottle right now and that's why I knew not to get like a big one, because I just didn't foresee myself using that much now we wait while it processes I'm going to go ahead and put on like A processing cap you can use a plastic bag, a Walmart bag or whatever. If that's what you got, I want to do a processing cap, though, because I'm not doing this like my time limit, so I'm gon na do a clear cap so that I can see if my hair starts to light light in, and they now know that. I want to take it off all right. I should have like kept some type of regular time, but it's been well over 15 minutes. I have just kind of been checking on it, sporadically just to see if there's like any lighting going on - and I do see like a little bit. But it's like real slight, but because I know what to cover my like looked like before and how Oh like dark it was. I can tell that it did light. You know just a bit, but it's obviously not to the extent of what I was actually hoping to achieve. This had to be 25 minutes, maybe going on 30. I think I actually probably would have you know what before I speak too soon. Let me go ahead and wash this out and then I might even just give it a little blow dry, because I know things tend to be darker when they're wet, so when it dries, it might lighten up a little bit so yeah, I'm gon na go ahead And wash my hair and dry it a little bit and then I'll come back to show you guys the results all right, so we're back fresh out the shower. I try to blow-dry it just a little bit. It'S not completely dry, but I just blow-dried it just a little bit to get most of like the moisture out, but this is how my hair is looking for a final result. So obviously it's not copper like we were hoping to achieve. However, it is a bit lighter, like my ends, are just a bit lighter like barely like barely, but I did see it did something, but honestly, it's still like it's still very much a natural blackish-brown. This is a good shot right here. This is very true to color wear I feel like before you can kind of tell that my hair was very much liked and I wasn't black but just very dark, whereas now you can see a little bit more Brown in it. So these are my results. Ultimately, I think that, because I know it works like I've seen it work on other people's hair. What I like, while I was waiting, I went on YouTube just to see like other people's outcomes, with doing it, so I know it can work. I don't know if my hair is just real resistant or what I was thinking is. Maybe I would use a 40 volume developer instead of 30. I'M not opposed to trying this again. Definitely not today, but I mean stay tuned, I'm most likely gon na try it again, because I really like the results that I've seen on other people's videos, and I want my hair to be like it. But I'm not in any rush to do it like today or this weekend, or anything like that. So yeah, I'm just stay tuned of course, subscribe to my channel click. The notification bell. If that's your thing, if you want to be notified because I'm definitely gon na go ahead and be another guinea pig for 40 volume developer on my hair to see if it lightens it more than this anyways yeah. So once again, I was the guinea pig for you guys. These are my results, using 30 volume developer to try to lighten my hair. I left it in for well over 15 minutes 25 to 30 more like, and this is the outcome I give this video a thumbs up. If you enjoyed it comment down below one more things that you'd like to see me. Try and he styles, you or you want to suggest or anything like that, that you'd like to see how much channel feel free to share these videos. I won't be offended but yeah I'll catch you guys in the next one peace.

BlueHeartApparel CEO: Use 40, leave on for about an hour. Check after 30 mins, and use a hair dryer if necessary. The heat helps to lighten it.

shadow-enigma: You are glowing lol its kinda distracting bc for the first few seconds its all i could focus on. Your hair is looking so good btw its looks so glossy with your natural color but copper will look really nice for warmer weather so its cool you're filming the process

Ann ⚘: Your locks are Beautiful.

Rogue Y: Seems like baking soda and over the counter hydrogen peroxide is where I’ve been seeing great results. Maybe add the baking soda to it

Mese Burnett: Everything that I have been seeing, the developer has sit on dark brown or black hair for many hours in order to have a noticeable difference

Danielle DeGale: Your locks are soooo beautiful

tmia: if you use too much can you damage your hair?

PIPPY’S PLAYTIME!: All you need is baking soda and developer not just straight developer

Jo Youngblood: You are cuteness overload
