The twins head to the salon for fresh color and extensions in ET’s exclusive sneak peek at the new season of ‘Darcey & Stacey. Before their makeovers, the pair shows off their naturally curly, gray locks. The sisters explain their hair history before praying over and blessing their fresh weaves. ‘Darcey & Stacey’ airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on TLC, with episodes also available on discovery+, starting July 19.

Okay, ladies, let's see what's under these wigs, it's gon na be a hot mess. Are you ready to show us you ready stace? Let'S do it, let's see! Ah here it is freedom got ta. Let it got ta. Let it out. I thought i had more gray than you, but no, it looks like you have more gray, like a skunk patch, i'm starting to look like nana. A little bit. Flooring loves my natural hair, the curls same with georgie, but i'm ready for a new set of extensions. When we were younger, we do each other's extensions, not the glue gun, but the yeah, the i i can't remember we're getting old. These patches have to go sexy. Glam, that's right. We just have our own hair. We used to be down to our butts when we were pregnant yeah. Our hair was nice like like in our 20s luscious and and now i feel like. I have no hair left yeah. So that's why we like the long extensions, but first you got ta, do the color and then you got ta, do the treatments and then it's a long process, but i want that shine and that glam look, so i could feel 100. all right. Ladies hear yourself. Oh, that's beautiful, i don't know if it's okay with you guys stacy and i just have this um little ritual. We do that'll be out here, yeah, that's fine! We we pray and then we sage but yeah, okay, so i just want to bless it, and you know this hair, please, lord god, love us honor us yeah and cherish us with this hair. Yes, only good things come from this hair, we usually have a ritual. We do with our hair because we want to make sure that the energy from the new extensions are pure and you know not holding on to any negativity from whoever had it before us. Think about it, the majority of the hair is acquired because alot of women and men don't have a choice due to extreme poverty or sometimes the hair is ascertained by nefarious means.
Gail Cook: The harder they try to look young, the older they look. All the crazy hair and plastic surgery just emphasizes their need for attention. Time after time Darcey looks the fool when she gets played by literally every guy she falls for. If these ladies could embrace aging gracefully, they would be much happier in the end. Kaya Nurshiya: Honestly my hair is crap due to years exposing to heat and not using protection first. So I decided to shave it all off and now they’re slowly growing back. One thing I have never done though is wear hair extensions, wigs , weave etc. I’m East African I believe bad energy can be attached on hair and can travel onto others. So I stay far away as I can from real hair but if I ever change my mind in the future it will be wigs , extensions made from not human hair. Sorry call me superstitious or whatever but that’s just like my opinion man ♀️.

Much like wedding rings, anything you put on you or in your home needs to be treated that way. Especially hair that is hopefully willingly donated. Its usually linked to a religious offering too so I completely get it.
