Hi yeah francesca here from palooka salon, i'm going to do another jon renau review today, and this time we are doing um miller in the color storm, which is from their arctic color collection. So miller is a kind of long wavy bob. This lovely curl pattern there. I think uh this is described as similar to the rachel curl pattern, that kind of beachy wave and and the color storm. Now the code is fs: 36. 56. 60. S4. So that s4 tells us that we have that shaded darker root, the four and then we've got lots of lovely white gray and white gray. There aren't any violet tones really in that beige tones white gray and beige tones within that. So we know that that 60 represents that pure white and then we have a 56, which is more of a grey tone and a 36 which will be the bayesia tone within that. So really, i would describe this as a highlighted gray, with lots of gray tones within that, but within with that warmer root, so that is storm. Nice, isn't she now. This is one of those uh wigs that i have put on and obviously they haven't wanted to play too much with it. But it needs work for me, so i'm kind of going through the wigs that i have put on and thought oh and then taking them off again um. So i'm just going to make sure that i give this one a really good chance. But i know that miller is a really popular uh style in terms of that longer bob um with the waves, so, whereas you have julianne who is a slightly asymmetric and then you have january, which is much shorter, this is that kind of in between. Maybe all more um or one length um. So in terms of her cap she is one of those lucky ones. If you caught one of my little crazy igtv reviews that has that slightly extended lace but i'll look at that again in a second, so she is wefted through the back. She has that monofilament top and then the lace front here. But can you see how on miller, that lace extends into the ear tabs rather than finishing at this nape, not nape temple area, um? Okay? So at the back, she has a nice extended nape with that soft fabric that velour fabric the same at her ear tabs with the the metal stays that help you to um organize sorry, i've got distracted, kids outside uh those metal stays that that help keep it In place, okay, so i'm gon na go up and um put her on i'm going to comb her through and i'm going to give her a little bit of styling, because i think the issue that i've had with her is that she falls really heavy in the Front and actually i want to kind of get her to go back off my face. I suppose the point i'm making is that you know when you get a wig out of the box and if you are buying online, for example, and you haven't, got a stylus to hand to kind of play and show you how to style it. You do need to be aware that it can be quite daunting when you're getting a new wig straight out of the box and that, even though they are synthetic, you are able to use certain products to help them sit in different places, and you can train them In terms of where the parting goes, and also as you can see, um i've got um cameron on here. I'Ve had it for some time and i've had a little kind of play around you know, so they can be worn in very different ways: okay, i'll stop. Babbling and i'll go up and pop her on okay, hi yeah. Well, here she is um, as you can see, i've popped her in a little pin, because this is the area that drops in front of my face and i'll take that out and show you in a minute, but i have um taken a wide tooth comb through These curls a little bit just to break them up and already. I feel that that loosening of those curls helps to kind of define the hair and the curl pattern. I think it looks lovely, so i mean for me just by doing some very simple playing around by taking that parting, where i usually have it that breaks up that weight here, um pinning her back having a little comb through. It already feels uh so much better and i absolutely uh, i'm surprised um. I don't say i love every color, but this one i thought it's gray like how does that work? For someone like me in their 40s um because i feel, like i'm kind of sitting on that kind of fence of, am i going gray, you know, is that the look i'm going for or is it a fashion color do i look young enough to kind of Pull off a fashion color, it's a little bit difficult with these gray tones, but of course, because of that darker root, it does give you that impression that you are choosing to have a color like this. So this is a conscious choice and actually these um, more ashy paler tones tend to work better for me anyway. So, although there are those beigier tones through it um we are looking at kind of a gray white ashy tone. It'S really lovely, actually really lovely um and it's kind of a an alternative to the um, the sleet, which is the darker root and just the white, the pure 60, through it um. So in terms of the color yeah, i really love it. So i'm really pleased with that, and i think i've got i'm tempted that to keep hold of this one now uh, but we shall see uh-huh okay. So in terms of the cap i didn't say earlier, this does come in an average and a petite sized cup which is really good, actually um. It'S a teeny bit big for me, but i don't know if it's so big that i would move to a petite. But where it's big is just here, can you see that now it doesn't want to blow up in the wind or anything, but it's there. I haven't pulled it in at the minute, but there is a lot so the nape can come down quite far um. I would try petitse if that made a difference, but the problem for me um, if i go to a petite, is that actually i lose the lovely fit here. I talk about the ear tabs being really important for me and where they sit, because it's that hairline that you're trying to mimic so i would much rather take in an average size cap. If it's bagging then have to lose that wonderful fit here, which is really perfect, so i would be conscious of that, and also if something is too tight around here, you're going to compromise and put tension on the lace front and that tension will cause it to Fray, so that's a little pointer there. Now this lace front, as i said, it's super duper because it goes to here, whereas some of the jon renau go to here. That'S quite a chunk of lace extra so that extended lace - and i know i got over excited about it before, but it is a big deal. It certainly is a big deal for me because it changes the way that i can style, i'm not trying to style. So that i hide that join, i can style like this now i can be more extended in a starting and that just opens up more options to to kind of create your own looks. So that's super love that extended lace, front, um wefted, so when it gets hot you've got a little bit of breeze um. So, especially with this length, it's definitely one of i would say, like a cooler option in terms of heat cooler. So it's cool. You know because it's kooky grey, so it hits all of those things. Okay, oh i'm in a babbling mood today. Let'S take this um grip out. So can you see - but it's better just by doing that - that's like in the time that i've been chatting i've had that pin back and already it's now kind of wanting to stay there, that's brilliant because before it was sitting like this and it just drove struck Me mad, but very quickly, you can get that to move how you want it to. I did put a teeny tiny bit of the jon renau peace out, contour cream, which is effectively like a wax. It can be used on synthetic and human hair, and you just rub it between your hands and you can just get it to move. It'S also good for giving you a bit of extra body. Some of you want to be big and buffy, like that. It also allows you to smooth it down, so it's really versatile. So that's super um and talking of body we've talked this week. I'Ve had lots of conversations with people about density and how important it is to get a sense of density. When i first started looking at buying wigs, i thought that the more dense was the better. You know i thought well, i know i want it dense. If i was ordering a custom piece, i was like no and i'll go like 200 density, which is bonkers when you think about it, but you just kind of think: oh more hair, it's better, because you've lost all your hair. Maybe there's that feeling that you want to have as much as as you can get back, but actually natural density is really important and we talk about 100, 80, 120 and they're different across companies. So really, it is about just understanding what you like being able to communicate that with um your kind of wig store or whoever you're buying it from and getting advice about how much density you want. Now this this there's quite a bit of hair here, i wouldn't call i'd, call it a fairly natural density. I wouldn't say there was a huge amount of hair. I felt a lot more hair in other wigs, but there is enough that you could take some out if that makes sense that you are able to actually thin it out without costing you you know potentially seeing some of the wefts. So i think you know you. It'S much much better to have ever so slightly more hair than you would like, because your stylist will be able to remove that very carefully and professionally and make that wig sit better for you now, of course, that's much better if you can do that when it's On your head and go into a to a salon in the same same way that you would normally do because, of course, where those heavy bits sit on, you might sit differently on someone else, because our head shapes and our face shapes are so different. So that's really important, but this, i would say was a nice density. I would um let it sit for a while before i took anything out because it might flatten on its own. But there's there's enough here because i wear it like this. Of course it's going to be heavier on that side. You might wear it in a center parting because you can with that for mono top, in which case you wouldn't necessarily need to take anything out. So really like i say it's all about how you wear it shape of your face and what you're used to and what you have been used to and the kind of density you're trying to replicate. But so i would say this was a fairly natural density. You know i don't feel like there's a huge amount of hair here, but there is enough there that you could thin it if need be. Okay, i think that's quite a lot of info about density. Now i, as i said so miller, comes in an average cap and a boutique cap, which is super duper. Look how she's sitting really nicely now that and i'm just going to go through the lengths of the average, which is what i'm wearing so the fringe is 11 here, so we've got kind of long fringe. So again, you could take some of that away and make that sweet. The crown is 13.. How nice is she? The sides are ten yeah and the nape is seven. So we have that really kind of um nice length all the way around. Can you see she's, sweet, okay, so yeah? I think it's a really really lovely color. I'M not sure that storm has been given enough attention uh, because we are just attracted to um, frost, the pinky one and the and glacier the bluer one because of their kind of instantaneous funness. But i you know this is lovely. So there she is miller the color storm, jon renau synthetic smart lace collection. Thank you.
