Hey everyone, its Michelle and welcome back to my channel so in today's video, I'm gon na show you guys how I achieved this midnight blue hair color. I'Ve been wanting to do this for quite some time now. I'Ve done electric blue, but I've wanted to do midnight. Blue, so here it is, if you guys want to see how I achieve it, then please continue to watch today. We'Re just gon na do color. I already have my wig ready to go. This is a 6:13 wig from a Lumiere hair and I do have very detailed videos on how I meet my wigs from start to finish. I will link one of those videos in the description bar down below or you can just get a 6:13 full lace, wig or lace, frontal wig. So now we're gon na go in with some vaseline. I always use Vaseline to protect my lace. Now this is going to shield the lace from any stains whatsoever, so I'm just gon na apply to the lace, and you guys always ask me: how do I get it off? I use Dawn dish soap to get it off and it comes off really easy. Moving on to color, so I'm gon na take arctic fox, hello, Simba's tail! That'S my cat! I'M gon na take arctic fox, a blue jean, a baby. It'S a nice denim blue shade, exactly what it says and then the shade Poseidon, which is more like kind of like a very I don't even know I'll, just show you guys what it looks like and I'm also gon na use the color Transylvania, which is a Black, so the reason why I'm using three colors is because I want to mix them together to get the right shade of a midnight blue shade that I want. I couldn't find a single die with this color. Well, it's not! I couldn't find it's just about all the stores are closed and I really wanted a midnight blue wig, so I had to work with the colors that I have you can use other brands. You don't have to stick to the same exact brands that I use and for this video I'm not gon na. Do the water color method, I'm just gon na, be doing the old-fashioned way. Yes, the process is a little bit longer, but I'm only doing a single color, so it's not very time-consuming, and it's not very long now. The reason why I chose to do it. This way is because I am working with a darker color. I get access a lot. Why don't? I do the water color method? I love the water color method with certain colors and just certain colors. This is a dark color. It'S really dark and I don't want to take that chance in staying in my lace, because it's a dark blue colors, so I don't want to have blue lace. That'S not gon na look good on my skintone. That'S not look good on anybody! Skin tum, because your forehead is not blue and I also do not want my knots to be dark blue. The knots on this wig will be very dark and you look very Wiggy. I want my wig the knots I wanted to look like scalp. Okay, I don't want it to be dark, so I apply the blue hair dye all over the wig and you can let this sit for the bottle. I think it says like 45 minutes, but I actually let it sit for about two hours. So I let it sit for two hours and then I wash it off off-camera. I don't use any shampoo, conditioner whatsoever. I just use my dawn to show up on the lace to get the vaseline out, and this is how she's looking I'm very happy with how it looks. As you can see from the lace. The lace is clean. It is not staying whatsoever. My knots are perfect. So I'm gon na go in with my blow-dryer now and just blow her out as for tweezing the hairline. I already did that off-camera. I do have a very detailed video on how I tweeze my hairline on my wigs to make them look more natural, so we're gon na move on to glue I'm applying some glue to my forehead. This is the lace, grip lace glue and I go in with a a rat tail comb. Let it dry clear and then go ahead and apply another layer of glue and let it dry clear so dry the glue I'm using my blow-dryer on the cool setting. This will help to speed up the process and then I'm gon na pull down that lace and, like I said before, this lace is looking real good. She has no stains whatsoever. I go in with my rat tail comb and I press it down. So I'm using two rat tail combs one for applying the glue and one for pressing down my lace into my glue and for some extra hole I go in with some got to be free spray. Again, I'm using the blow-dryer on the cool setting to melt down that lace, guys the glue gun am using a lace grip. It'S not my favorite glue because it leaves kind of like a white residue. The next day like right now looks perfect. The next day it was like a white residue, so I had to take it off and redo this wig anyways, I'm gon na, go in with my scissors and cut off that excess lace that we do not need any more such so. I cut it as close to my hairline as possible. A lot of you guys ask me if I sell the wigs that I use in my videos. No, I do not because a lot of the weeks that I have are weeks, that I custom-made for my head and my hairline, so once you cut that lace off according to your hairline, so yeah, that's the main reason why I do not sell the weeks that I use in my video because I don't want you guys to get the weeks and then it doesn't fit your hairline because we don't have the same exact hairline. The lace was not cut around your hairline. So that's the main reason. Why don't I mentioned about starting? My own hairline - and that was something that was come out in spring, but I had to put everything on hold because of what's going on in the world right now, but the whole. You know what I'm talking about anyway, so I just applied some glue to the side of my head as well, and I let it dry on a cool setting and honey. This lace, oh my gosh, she is looking late and this is not even HD lace. This is just a regular lace. Okay, so now that one side is all glued down, I'm gon na do the same exact thing. On the other side, I like to glue it down and cut the lace off in steps. I don't just cut the whole thing off, as you can see. I just find it a lot easier like this and you don't make as much mistakes when you take your time. Also, keep in mind that once this lace is cut off, it's gone, so you don't have to do this again when you want to apply your wig like you, don't have to cut the lace and do all of that again. So now I'm gon na go in with a tweezer and just to tweeze the part I'm rocking in my side part today, you guys know. I love me some side part to remove your lace. Wig you can use rubbing alcohol or you can use some lace glue. Remover, this is the bolt hold lace, glue, remover and I'm gon na go in with some alcohol just to clean off any glue residue. That is on my forehead, because I'm pretty sure I got some on my forehead and it's gon na be hard to apply. My makeup, if there's glue on my forehead all right, I'm gon na go in with some foundation powder, and I'm just gon na apply this on the lace that way the lace can look more natural and blend into my skin. I'M also gon na apply this into the part and just go in with some got to be free spray, so it doesn't look powdery in the part, and you can also tint your lace. I didn't have any lace hint I was all out, so I had to use my foundation powder and it works perfectly fine gon na go in with my hot comb. I believe this brand is and this I could be saying that wrong, but I will link it in the description bar down below it's an amazing, a flat iron. You just got ta, be very careful, don't get it on your face. Cuz. You will burn yourself, I'm gon na go in with some hair foam. I got this one at Sally's, not sure of the brand, and I'm also gon na create some tiny, very tiny baby. Here I don't like them big, an extra cuz. That was my daughter's hand. I don't like them to exercise just like them to be nice and small, so I'm gon na go in it with one of these edge brushes. You can also use the old toothbrush and yes, honey. Look at her she's lookin cute. I love this blue because it's like it's bold, but it's still, I find like it's wearable and I think it looks good on anybody. Anyone can pull off this color. So that's an elastic band that I'm using and you can use a scarf. I'M gon na go ahead and wrap this elastic band around my head and I'm gon na. Take it off after ten minutes. So I had it on for 10 minutes and that's how the hair look I'll make that lace, look completely melted down to perfection and, as you can see, I'm going in with my flat iron to straighten my hair. I'M gon na leave it straight today and I did my makeup off camera. I do have a makeup tutorial for this video. I didn't include it in this video because it's a talk through video, so it's kind of a long video and I did not want to put it in the hair video. So I will be looking the exact same in that video as I do in this one. So yeah, this is pretty much of the finish a look. I really really love this hair color, I loved how it turned out. I love this hair quality. It'S actually really good and I've used it before. So you can go ahead and check out Lumiere hair, and I will see you guys in another video very very soon.
