What'S up my lovely people, welcome back to my to my main missions here today, we're here to make a wig using our sewing machine. So let's go ahead and give it to this video all right, yeah before we get started. I do want to say thank you to all my new subscribers. Thank you for those who they supported me. I appreciate you all so very much shout out to Nene for participating in my last life. She did win her a virtual cash prize. So, thank you very much it you so much yeah also, we are all stuck in the house - well technically, not literally stuck in the house, but we are all in the house. So why not learn a new technique, a new technique for week making? So yes, so we're gon na be using our sewing machine. This is maybe the fourth or fifth week that I've made using the sewing machine so y'all. I want to take you through the basics so that you don't get stumped like I did. I want you to take this hemming. It'S another sewing machine so that your style comes out looking flawless, so the first part of the video we're going to go through the basics of the sewing machine. How'S, your thread, your machine, how to thread your bobbins? How to replace the needle if you needed so that's gon na, be the in the first section of the video. The first thing that I saw is going to be my webs together. I'M not sure if I completely explain that in the video. This is the hair that I am using and if y'all remember, this is the icy hair that I bleached and my previous video in that card above, if you want to see how to get an even police job. So this is the hair and you can sew wet for wet, but I decided to put my webs together to make the process, though easier and faster practice practice practice practice makes perfect all of this don't cap off of Aliexpress a while back, and it came too Big, so I was like this is so perfect. This was the first thing that I ever sold on the cap. So y'all take your time, get some practice in again. You want to prevent your crap, so you don't be out here looking to miss all right. So without further ado, let's go ahead and roll this tape; okay, y'all! So I'm just gon na go through some basics of the sewing machine. I'M using this English tradition. If you have something similar to mine that you can and put it on the settings that I have so I'm a detention of five, I have it on a length of four and I have it on this exact position, because, since we're making a wig today, this Is ideal for oh wait? Your machine will already come with a needle on the eye and it comes with this as well. So you definitely want to check in here to see it came with three extra needles. I'Ve already broken two, these extra singer needles off the Amazon. This is a pack of 20. It also comes with a foot control, and this is what you're gon na use pretty much to operate. The entire sewing machine. This piece will go here. This piece will go here, though I have it upside down. This piece will go here, and it's goes on the floor and literally like if you were going to be driving a car slow. This is gon na go on the floor and, of course, this other piece is going to go into the wall, to power it so first off. I want to show you all how to fit your machine, how to thread your bobbins and also how to put your bobbins and cake so does have instructions on how to thread. I can show you all how to remove the needle as well, because I was so lost on that. So you pretty much just turn this piece left, let the loosey righty tighty and it's gon na release that needle see the middle fell down this one now I'll have a needle back in there and I'm just gon na turn right as tight as you can stand. It again in order to thread the bobbin, you need to have this piece moved over here coming again, if you don't I'll, show you what happens, my machine is on I'm going to step on that so controlled. All of the beats. Are you out myself when I step on that to control the entire machine? So if your piece moved over to the right, try to thread the bottom like that, this is what will happen and we'll control that. So again I have to put on the floor, but so you want to move it over here into the order to threat the bottom, so you're bobbing in your bobbin case - and this is your presser foot - you can pick and lower this up with this piece right Here, that is what controls your presser foot. Also this knob here is what lowers the thread against a patch. That thread. Will I be doing that in a minute, but this controls this piece right here. First, we're gon na start with thread the bobbin II. This bobbin is already threaded, as you can see, and I'm just gon na thread these bobbin for ease for thread yeah. When I first started, I picked up this minot nylon thread. Someone said they use this, but this did not work for me, so I ended up going to Walmart and I just picked up this a hundred percent cotton thread from Coates and Clark. It is, it says it is for machine quilting, but this is what I've been using it. It'S been working really good for me and some of them that have this piece. You can just sit them at the top, like that. You see the power piece here and when you turn your machine on, it does have a light to it. So the machine is now on now thread in the bubble during the bubble thread in the bobbin took me so long to figure out so it's. But it's really simple, though: you want to have your bobbin go through that little hole from the inside out, and then you want to take the other and wrap it around a little bit before you put it on to the the metal piece. I don't know what they call these and they give you a bobbin has to be shifted over to the right in order to work, and you want this meal, this little piece to be hanging out. You'Ll see why, later so and again it's like driving a car, you can go as slow or fast as you want, and once the bobbin is fully threaded see, that's not. It won't allow you to go anymore, so this bub and it's fully three you can take that off and see. We have it right it. It didn't go fully up like see it even out for some reason, but I mean that's what a you can see. The difference, I'm not sure why didn't go up like that, but you will just cut this off and start your next one see that's this one. This one came out as full as it should have I'm the compared to the other one. We have bobbins threaded, I'm going to go ahead and show you how to thread the machine. The machine is really easy to thread the steps of are printed on the machine one through five steps. We want to make sure that you use them all correctly, because if we don't your machine you're not running properly in order to get step for the work you have to come over here to your knob again. This is what controls that over there. So you want to bring it up to the highest point and see it has that so you're gon na come on down to follow a bobbin case. Now, I'm not left-handed, but I pretty much had to become left-handed working with this because it doesn't really work. If you do it with your right hand, but again your will running this. This is where your bobbin thread will go good to have some thread. Hang you know when you open this, we pull this for that bag. That'S what helps keep the bobbin thread and see there fall down once you have this. It is not about no see you sometime. Let it go okay, so very important step here, but you want to pull your thread through that piece right there and hook it until it snaps into that C space, and that is where your bobbin thread should be sitting now hold on to that and put your Bobbin thread into that space, if you guys can see in there this little okay. So now, I'm just gon na raise the needle ugh me and using this knob here. This is how this is for that little control, so I'm just gon na raise the needle to the highest point to be able to actually drag the needle here and always have tolerance with the thread. I would when I first started. I would use this tape here. That'S a way to hold on to my thread, so we have that thread back here. You can it's made it long enough, so I don't have to hold it right here that we had from our bobbin clip this thread. So, let's go down again I'm using my control over here. Okay, so you see it's gotten it so now you just want to take a pair of scissors or anything flat and just sweep that back you see. The thread in the bobbin is now at the top. I just own ow, your top feeder is threaded. Your bottom feeder is threaded and you are ready to sew so my bundles here and I went ahead and cut this in half just so. It can be easier to work with yeah again, you can go as slow with this or as fast as you need to again. It'S not a rush. It'S not a rush at all. You definitely want to make sure that you're sewing in a straight line, and I just move make sure I have my wife together the whole way through. So I'm like constantly ingesting. You know this is where the reverse comes in handy again, so you still want to be on the control down below and you just want to put it down and that's gon na seal those ends. Okay and then you just put it up and you could get the red they wan na, make sure you do the reverse. That'S just to seal those ends, pull it out, make sure your needle is up put it out here. I have my closure and I'm laying it over top of the mesh dome cap. The closure is gon na, be the last piece to go on the wig, so I am going to be using a metallic marker. You can also use a consumer pen or any color marker that you have that's going to show up on that cap and you're gon na mark your your space for your closer just so you know not to go into those lines, because you want your closure to Be able to fit perfectly also, I forgot to include a clip of me marking my lines or or marking my guides for the. What I started sewing the width, so I included a clip of someone, I'm not sure who she is, but she marked her cap slim similar to the way that I do mine. So you see who do that in just a second, so I've already started sewing a few s on this cap. I just went blind for lying just to make sure that I get it as flat and even as possible on both sides. Okay, if you can see here, I had that cap hanging over the front end of the sewing machine. I feel that it's the best way to make sure that your cap is stretched out. You want to make sure that you're sewing on the line and that your cap is not bunched up as you get closer to the closure piece at the top. That gets a little bit more difficult to keep the cap stretched out, but just do the best that you can and make sure that you're not you're, not straying away from those lines that that you marked as your guide. I'Ve been alone all of my lips on to the cab. Now, I'm about to give this closure slow down. I know this week is not looking too happy about to give this bad girl together. Okay, oh so, I'm sawing my whip. My closure down there does seem to be a bit of a spacing, but once I sewed the closure down in toward it as tight as I could, there was not much space there, but if you do have spacing you can go ahead and add another track wherever You see fit so I'm going to be showing you the colors that I'm using. I showed you only five here, but I am going to use six and I'm going to make six sections for each of those colors. I'M also going to use a revlon deep, color purple for the the top part of the hair, not in hopes to dye the hair purple, but to get it away from that brown color and I have it appear more dark. So this purple here came up. Looking really brown with some color also and the colors
