Welcome to Lee's salon, I'm Rihanna Amy. Today, I'm going to show you how to highlight your dyed hair when you're highlighting dyed hair, you need to pre lighten and then use a toner. Color doesn't lift color. So you need to use a powder bleach and we're going to go ahead and pick our section here and we're going to place our foil so that we don't get our powder bleach all over all the hair. We want to just go where we want it to be, so we're going to make sure that we keep the foil tight to the scalp and we're just going to paint it directly on the head. Make sure you cover everything roof and make sure you get those ends very well and when you're folding your foil, there's no right or wrong way to fold your foil just make sure you keep it out of your way for your next toil. So we're going to move on to our next foil, and this is the same basic procedure - we're going to do around the whole entire head. You get your section, you pull out how big or small you want. Your highlights to be just place, your foil and do use your white hair. Make sure you keep that foil tight to the scalp and pull it through. Getting those ends nice and saturated we're going to do the same procedure around the whole entire head and once you've gotten your last foil in and everything is ready to process you let it process for approximately 30 to 45 minutes and then we'll wash once we've washed. It these little sections are going to be lighter when these sections are lighter, we're going to wash off the bleach and then we're going to go in with a toner. Now that our dyed hair is pre lightened, we are ready to go in with our color or our toner to turn those highlights a shade of blond or brown or red. Whatever we desire, we make sure that we cover everything root to end, make sure there's no dry spots, make sure you cover that scalp really good. This we're going to do the same thing all around the head section by section once you've gotten the entire head saturated with your toner or your color you're, going to wrap it up against the scalp so that it can get even heat throughout the hair. You'Re going to let that process anywhere from 15 5 20 30 minutes, whatever it needs depending on the color. You want it to be you're, going to check it to see if it's the shade you desire, whether it be blonde or red or whatever, whatever color you want, so you check it and you see, and once you see the color you want, you can go ahead And wash it if you see that it's still kind of yellow or it's not red enough or whatever color your desired color is go ahead and leave it for a couple of more minutes and check it again once it's the right, color you're ready to wash, and You will have highlights on your dyed hair once you've seen the color that you desire. You can go ahead and wash your hair and you will have highlights on your dyed hair.

Atlantis Star: You are the ONLY one who has a video who answers my exact question. I have looked for about 203 weeks. Just a thank you does not seem enough. Thanks for being unique and making this video and explains it logically.

T Young: How can you tell what color the newly lightened then color added hair is when it is still wet? And, why would you NOT show the results of your work at the end of the video? Disappointing....

JoAnn Page: Please share what product , volume and color of toner to be used for dyed auburn hair. I am wanting some golden highlights.

NEON PINEAPPLE: can you do this to severely damaged hair

Just Josie: It looked more like she was darkening strands not highlighting them.

R Martini: How do u mix the bleach!!!!!

Taylor Hawk: So weird, why wouldn’t you show the end results? And if you put bleach on her hair, why did all of those strands look so dark?? Me confused. Lol
