Hair Vivi “Catalina” 360 Curly Wig | Fake Scalp | ✨ Review & Install

Hey family welcome back to my channel. If you are new welcome, my name is Alana and today's video is a wig review. Slash kind of walkthrough install on this beautiful unit called Catalina by hair vivi featuring their new pre-made fake scalp. So, if you're interested in seeing how I got this look and what I would think about this unit, then keep on watching alright, so first things: first, I'm just taking some got to be glue and slipping. My edges back because my braids are looking a little crusty and we're gon na be using real glue today, so I want to make sure that my edges stay intact alright. So this is the unit straight out of the box. These crows are so pretty and, of course, this unit has an adjustable strap as well as the combs at the nape of the neck and two on the side, as well. Now for the game changer the showstopper, which is the fake scalp, I'm pretty sure they got this idea from a Miss precious Marie, but this is literally a game changer, it's so uncool, it's insane! So I'm gon na just go ahead and pop this unit. On my head just to try it out and see you know what I'm working with just so I can take a look at the hairline and see how it matches up with mine and then now we can start the install process. So I'm taking a white pencil liner and I'm just kind of like sketching out what my hairline looks like. So I know exactly where to cut this lace so that it matches up the best all right now when it comes to cutting your lace. I'M gon na tell y'all one thing you need to invest in and that is some zig zag fabric scissors. You cannot use straight scissors anymore to cut your lace. This is a game-changer. I can't remember where I saw it on YouTube, but a youtuber that I watch frequently. I can't remember who it is yet suggest these, and this changes the way your lace lays. It just makes the lace melt into your skin so much more, instead of it being like this straight Circle Line, it's just you that have it all right and once you've got that lace, cut you're gon na, of course, take off that white eyeliner, because you obviously Don'T want that under your wig and then you're gon na go ahead and pick up your glue. I am using the Esha hair glue, haven't really gotten into bold whole glue, just because I don't really wear my wigs for that long. I feel like. I don't need it because I'm hella indecisive, so I feel like I should does the trick for me for a couple of days of wear and I like that it is waterproof. So when I am working out, it still stays on my head and I'm not worried about it. Slipping back and now that our glue is good, I'm ready and dry we're just going to go ahead and begin to apply the unit just pressing it in try not to use your finger. I kind of moved around a bit and did that and the oils from your finger can like kind of mess with the adhesive, so try to use like a comb or something like that now. For me, the most important part of applying your wig is making sure that it's stuck on your head of course, and I always use these Nike little sports band things, because I find that they're super tight and then make sure that the hair stays laid. And then I just go ahead and I take a scarf and I triple check double check myself and make sure that that stuff is tight and I leave it on for about 30 minutes. Oh and y'all don't be like me and forget to cut the lace on the back of your head. I had to give my sister that kind of hop in and help me, because I forgot to do that at the back of my head before I glued it down so make sure you get somebody to do that for you alright. So now that everything is dried, secure, just going back in with that rubbing alcohol to make sure that all the glue is gone and then I'm just taking a little bit of baby hairs. Just because I wasn't really feeling how the hairline was looking - and I just made some little swoop D baby hairs - to lay to kind of hide that lace which really didn't even need that much work at all. And then I went ahead and taught that back down. While I went ahead and styled the unit now, because I was super lazy and kind of rushing, I just went ahead and like spritz, the hair with some water mixed with some conditioner and ran my fingers through it add a little bit of mousse and your girl Is good to go, I just crimped that hair back up. I'M surprised it actually did that. Well, I mean you could add your regular curly hair products, but I didn't even need to do that. Alright y'all she's, looking pretty late, so I'm just gon na go ahead and pick up some of my powdered foundation just to make sure we melt that lace a little bit more, so I'm just adding it on the front of the hairline as well as through that Part just so that everything is super seamless for me and guys that was literally it. This unit took absolutely no time to get on. It is unclocked Balazs you can see. I mean keep in mind, obviously with the camera. You are like all boys wound up under HD lights and all that stuff, but this unit is killer. That fake scout method is a game-changer. I cannot wait to get another unit from here baby with this fake scalp.
