How To Make Your Closure Wig Look Like Scalp | Customize, Pluck & Install Tutorial For Beginners

So the very first thing that i'm going to start off by doing is i'm going to be taking my hot comb to just kind of press the wig out. It is freshly washed and air dry, so i'm just going to flatten it a little bit. So it just makes the customization just a tad bit easier. So for the hairline part, because i really want to be able to see what it is that i'm doing, i am using a white towel underneath my canvas head and, most importantly, i am going in and pressing out the edges. So, basically, what i'm going to be doing is just kind of pushing the hair back um so that i can see exactly what it is that i'm plucking and get a good look at what the hairline looks like. I no longer pluck my hairlines when they are wet. I know the hair does come out a little bit easier when you pluck when it's wet, but i kind of like to pluck my hairline to dry. Now, it's totally optional up to you. You can still follow these same tips to get the same results so once i have pressed out the hairline, then i just kind of work in sections not too thin. I am going to pluck out the very front of the hairline, but i always save that part for last. So i'm just going to part out a very thin section and then i'm going to go ahead and start plucking. Now my plucking technique has not changed at all. I just kind of pluck a section skip. Pluck a section skip now. You will notice that my wig is kind of already uh parted out, because i am going to be wearing it in the middle part, so that helps to make sure that you don't pluck that parting space area. Trust me. I'Ve done it before. It'S not easy to fix it. It'S kind of unfixable, once you kind of pluck the parting space, because then you have to just go in and you know do something completely different so part out. However, you're going to part your hair, whether that be a side, part middle part and avoid that area, i'm going to get pretty close to it, but i'm not going to get too close to the part, as you guys will see when i'm plucking so um just Make sure that you're actually plucking the hair out? I see some people move really really fast and it doesn't really look like they're doing nothing and sometimes they're not really doing too much of anything. So this part of the video is not sped up at all. How you guys see me plucking is how i am plucking in real time so, like i said, i'm plugging, probably maybe like three plucks in each section that i'm skipping a little tiny part. So you'll look notice that it looks like you know, plucked hair, plucked hair. That'S kind of the pattern that i use, so i'm going to go back a little bit into the hairline, but not too far back doing the same exact motion. So i'm just going to let you guys watch me. Do that part, if you guys need a more in-depth video on how it is that i do this part? I do actually have one on my channel and i will be sure to link that down below in my description box, for you guys that one is dedicated to uh plucking more in detail. Do foreign do so. What i'm going to do now is i'm going to go in to the hair and cut just a little bit of layers, because i want to have some nice voluminous curls, and so in order to achieve that, i need to make sure that the hair has some Type of dimension to it, so really quick and simple. Nothing too fancy i'm just going to go in and create a little bit of layers. Okay, so i'm just showing you guys the inside construction of the wig. It has your typical three combs in it and adjustable straps, i'm going to go in with this ruby kisses foundation from the beauty supply store. I believe this is either level 15 or 16, and i use it both colors of it mixed together, put it all on my wig cap and on the lace of the wig, and then i did spray the wig with some hairspray just so that that foundation does Not move around so the very first thing that i do when i apply my closure. Wigs is to kind of cut off the little thick tabs. You don't want to leave those on there because it is very noticeable and you will end up seeing them. If you don't cut them off completely, so those have to come off first and then i'm just going to proceed to cut off the rest of the lace you guys this is going to be the easiest install. I feel, like all of my closure. Wig installs are super easy, which is what i like. I don't like to spend a lot of time installing my wigs, so i'm just going to cut off the lace, use an adhesive of my choice, which is going to be the hair spray. Did you guys see how flawless that lays against my skin with no product on it, so anyways, i'm going to use the hairspray? Take the curls down, see what it's looking like and then we will go from there. So do okay. So i set up just a little bit, so you guys can see. This is where the hair is now in terms of the length. Of course it is curled, so it will stretch out um just to be a little bit longer just so you guys have an idea of where i took it from to where it is now now. The only reason why i cut this hair is because it was a little bit thin, not the wig itself. Well, no that doesn't make sense. Okay, so the hair up here very, very full. The ends of the hair were thin. So when you cut it, it gives the illusion that it's a little bit more fuller or it even does make it look a little bit more fuller. So i thought it was best for me to go ahead and do that just try something new. I figured out what i did wrong. I curled these curls in the wrong direction. So that's why they were kind of like going all over the place, but i'm going to fix that. But i want you guys to have to sit here. Watch me go through and re-curl it so that the curls are going the right way, but this wig was originally a 24 or a 26 inch. I will put the correct uh length down in the description box. So don't quote me on that. Just because i don't remember off the top of my head, this also happens to be my favorite texture. Of course, this is a bodyweight boy, closure ways. You will have this little area here where sometimes you can see the little um where the track starts and where the closure ends, especially on hd lace. Wigs, i feel, like the lace is just so transparent, like you're, about to see that area there. But you can, you know, kind of cover it up with the edges and whatnot. I will probably go in and conceal that a little bit better, this side, pretty good with this side, i'm just not realizing that i need to probably go in and fix. However, i don't really have any major complaints with this. Wig, like the quality of the hair, is really good. I just wish it was fuller from root all the way to the ends of the hair, but you shouldn't have any issues with anything shedding uh, it's pretty normal, pretty standard, all hair sheds, so you will get a little bit of shedding it's nothing that you should Be alarmed about or anything like that, because if it shed a lot, i definitely would tell you guys, because that's one thing i can't stand it's probably like bad lace and hair that sheds, because shedding leads to tangling and just a whole plethora of problems. But none of those issues happen with this particular wig, so i do hope that you guys enjoy this little step-by-step video of how it is that i customize my closure wigs, it's very easy and simple to do you just put in a little bit of work just To get kind of like a flawless result completely glueless the product that i use was the olive uh oil fix. It super hold spray, so very easy, as you guys can see before i even apply this product, like the wig just kind of laid very nicely on my head. That'S one of the reasons why i really love this wig like this is what i'm talking about. When i say i love a wig with amazing lace on it. This lace is very thin. It'S very easy to manipulate the shade that you need it to be. You can put your foundation on it. You can go on intensity, you know whatever it is that you need to do one thing that i did not show in the video that i did do to this wig was. I did go in and bleach the knots so that helps a little bit um in terms of getting the overall. You know natural, looking closure wig. This was a little start to finish with customization slash, install super easy if you're a beginner, you can definitely do this. It'S very quick, very uh practical for somebody that wears wigs every single day. I don't sleep in my wig, so for me to get up every day and to do this routine. It'S very easy probably takes five ten minutes, maybe at the most, but never really that um so yeah.
