Okay, so jump in straight into it, I'm going to be showing you how to do a skinny twist like this, but also how to do a chunky twist like this with the whole half of your hair, starting with the skinny twist, I'm going to be showing you How to do this twisting to avoid your face and also how to do it to a staying away from your face, because it does create quite a different look with each direction that you twist so starting with twisting it towards the face. So, as the piece of hair goes over the top, it's going to be twisted towards your face, I'm going to sue my hands that you can see. It'S like what I'm doing as you can see. This piece is coming over. The top is going towards in my face with the flat twist. What I do is scoop up, hair with one hand and then twist it in with the other hand. So, as you can see, I've got my two sections: I'm going to scoop up, hair with this hand near my head and then the other hand I'm going to scoop it back over to the other section and join it into the twists. So I scoop up hair with that hand, but the other hand I twist it over and join it into the twist so again scoop up hair use the other finger and join it into the twist grab that section scoop up hair, with the other hand twist it Over and join it into the twist you'll pop hair, use the other hand twist it over and join it into the twist scoop up twist it over and join. And then, once you get this rhythm going, you can kind of build up momentum and it actually feels quite easy once you get started and that's the final look. Okay, so going onto twisting away from the face is the exact same method, but the piece of hair that is going over the top is going towards the back of your head rather than your face. So, as you can see, is the exact same thing. I'M scooping up the hair with this hand, and then this other hand is twisting it over and joining it into the twist. So scooping up, hair use the other hand to twist it over and join it into the twist scoop up. Hair join it back into the twist, so it's always one hand that eye scooping up the hair and the other hand is joining that hair back into the twist okay. So now, for the whole half of your hair, this can be a little bit more fiddly because you're working with more hair, but it still is the same method so start off with two pieces of hair, I'm going to be twisting towards my face, so I do A couple of twists before I add any hair and I'm at scooping with one hand and then joining it back into the twist, with the other so scooping up hair using that finger to join it back in with the other twist scoop up, hair and then use That finger to join it back in with the twist and when you get to around here it can get quite tricky because the section of hair that you're working with is so wide. So it is difficult to scoop up hair with one hand. So I, if you're a beginner, I would recommend starting off practicing doing flat twists on a skinny section of hair and then work up to doing bigger sections, because the hair is so thick and the section is so wide. It is difficult to get a nice neat twist, but I hope that was helpful. I hope the visuals and the voiceover were clear enough. It is super difficult to explain how to twist, but I do hope that was clear enough. Hopefully, the visuals are clear enough. If the voice-over didn't make sense but yeah, thank you so much for watching. If you did find this helpful, please thumbs up the video and share with anybody else that you know wants to learn how to flat twist, and I will see you in my next one bye, guys

Mia Mercy Hellen: This video needs more views, its rare that you find someone that goes straight to the point, and makes everything seem so effortles.

malou: THIS VIDEO SHOULD HAVE 1MIL VIEWS. no videos are this good.

Shiyla Terry: THANK YOU! Hands down this is the best flat twist tutorial I've seen. And I've watched a ton! People don't know how to keep their hands out of the way. Thank you for making a video where beginners can actually see what you're doing. Genuinely appreciative

Natasha Oharas: You are the first to actually "TEACH" how to do a flat twist. I was struggling with flat twists because non of the other YouTubers I watched knew how to teach.

Kaleidoscopic: This is THEE hair tutorial oh my GOD. I think I’ll finally be able to succeed at this . I’m going to try this as soon as I get my hair products in the mail. Farewell dookie twists! .

my locbox: LISTENNNNNN. I have been trying to learn to do a decent flat twist for YEARS. Always looked like absolute crap. Based on all the rave comments on your video I saved your tutorial a few weeks ago (with the lowest of expectations for my own ability to follow along). Finally decided to go ahead and follow along today, not even in front of a mirror, because it was just practice - and for the first time ever I got a presentable flat twist! On the first try!!! I am in SHOCK! Seriously, best tutorial ever.

Limitless Bloom: Saved to practice later . Thank you

Angel XOXO: this is honestly the best flat twist tutorial. every other person has their hands in the way, goes too fast, or sucks at explaining smh. i love how you showed different twisting directions too!

Jada Rose: I practice 20 minutes a day! I’ve been getting better and better every day!

Lyric Allen: Thank you so much. I've been natural of and on since 2011 and never really did my hair because my mom would always do it. And now that I am a mother with a mixed race child I really need to step up my game because I can't be letting her run around with wild hair.
