11-Year-Old Aspiring Celeb Hairstylist Runs A Hair Salon In His Parents' Basement

11-year-old Vince from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, cuts and colors friends and family's hair for now — but he hopes to become a celeb hairstylist one day.

Hey Rachel, I'm Vince., I'm 11 years old and I'm from Bloomfield Hills Michigan, and this is my salon.. When I was two years old, I learned to braid when my Mom did one of my doll's hair and did a braid, and I saw the pattern of how she did it.. I like working with hair, because I love all the different textures, because you can do so much with it and with colors, and it's like doing art. Take maybe like an inch off Yeah.. I taught myself how to color and style hair by watching YouTube videos, because I always watch how they did it and I learned different techniques. Right now, since I'm not licensed. I only do my family and friends hair right now and they let me color their hair or cut their hair and style it.. I don't really charge because it's kind of like for me, because I'm getting more practice, but when I'm older, I would love to do. Obviously, everybody's hair., My mannequins, help me practice cutting hair or curling, hair or braiding hair, and this is one that I colored and braided.. I do color cuts., I do blow-outs., I can curl hair or straighten hair or braid hair.. My dream job for the future is to own a hair salon and be a celebrity hair colorist.. I would say to other kids that want to follow their dreams to just be yourself and don't give up and don't care about what other people think about them. ( audience clapping ), Please welcome Vince., That's so good. Thank you., _, So Vince, I'm so impressed that You'Re so industrious at 11.. Do you remember the first cut that you made Yeah.? How old were you? The first cut that I gave was when I five., Who gave you scissors at five? No, who did you cut My Grandma's hair.? Do you think you did a good job Yeah? My Aunt helped me but-. Oh good., Okay, the first lesson we want you to leave with today-, Listen to your Aunties., That one must value their work in life., Indeed yes.. So I want you to take this home and promise me. You will not put one price in here less than five dollars: okay, ( audience, clapping )! Thank you! So much.! That'S your first gift.! Thank you! So much. You're welcome so much. Tabitha. You have a second gift, don't you! I do have a second gift for you, so I wanted to give you something as well, because I'm so excited about your passion and it's infectious, and I am the global business ambassador for Matrix - and here is your gift of all my favorite products and everyone of My salon products that I love from Matrix., Thank you so much. And I also- There's a lot of heads you're gon na cover with that right Yeah.. I also want to invite you in January, in Orlando 2020, there is one of the biggest hair shows in the country. 25,000, hair dressers come together for Matrix for hands-on educational classes and I'm inviting you and your parents to come to Matrix, Destination. ( audience clapping ) Mom is that, okay with you Yes., I think Mom is gon na. Let someone cut school for a few days. And we have one more really cool reveal.. Go lift that up see your last gift from Minerva Beauty.. Thank you, friends at Minerva, Beauty., (, upbeat, music, ), (, audience cheering and clappinp ). Is that not cool? That is so cool. Mom come see. The chair come here., Come on come here., So you also get the Minerva, Beauty, cart and blow dryer.. They gave you this cool cart., Their top of the line blow dryer. Mom looks so beautiful in the big green chair.. Isn'T this fun? Thank you! So much. Good luck! Getting this on the airplane, buddy. (, audience cheering and clapping )
