Greetings earthlings, so today I'm going to show you how to get this kind of edgy hairstyle. I posted me wearing this hairstyle a few weeks ago on Instagram and a lot of guys requested it. So I'm about to show you how I do it, I'm going to be using the cortex form 1 and right now, when you go to beauty choice comp when you buy the cortex 4 and 1, you get a 3 FHI heat wrap. It affects thermal styling spray, which is a really really great deal this stuff values. I get 25 bucks real, quick. This thing is amazing, I'm sure you guys have seen this all over the place, so um yeah, let's just go ahead and jump right into the tutorial. Hope you guys enjoy this look um. I did use the largest wand that that set comes with just to give like a wave to the hair and to give a lot of volume. I love this size wand to get huge few tears, don't forget to rate subscribe and comment and all the info for the products that I use will be down below it. Also real quick. If you have extensions, if you're letting click extensions in or you can just wrap it with your short hair, starting with damp hair you're going to apply a volumizing product, I love John Frieda's luxurious volume and I'm just going to take the little nozzle here and distribute It all over my head into my roots and then I just massage that product into my hair, then I'm going in with Tresemme, is 24-hour body mousse. I love this stuff. Take a palm-sized amount and distribute it through the length of the hair, and you can also hit the roots as well. Now it is time to blow-dry it. This is how my hair is going to sit when it dries, so I'm going to blow-dry it the opposite way, so I'm just going to start at the roots and blow-dry until done keeping it in this direction. Then I'm going in with my favorite thermal heat protectant spray. This is from FHI and I'm going to section my hair into two parts. I'M going to spray this on the bottom in the top, and I really love this product because it doesn't leave a nasty residue in your hair afterwards, which a lot of heat protectant sprays can do. Then I'm going to take this comb and section my hair off right at my temple, all the way back to where your head starts to curve, and then you want to stop, and so you should have this side piece sectioned off like so, and then I'm going To section it in three parts you could do for you could do five. However, many like I'm going to do three today and I'm just going to twist this little section back and you can either secure with a bobby pin or a little tiny, clear band and you're going to repeat all the way down all right. So we're just going to basically curl away from our face and you want to be sure, especially if you have shoulder length hair like myself, you only wrap the hair around one time so and you don't want to wrap it too close to the root you want To kind of start in the middle and wrap it around once and as you can see, I'm taking pretty large sections and again you're going to start about the middle of the hair, wrap around one time and leave a good two to three inches out on the Length now, if you have longer hair, of course, you're gon na wrap around more than once, and what this is going to do. This is going to give us a slight wave, and this is going to give us a lot of volume um. I don't know about you, but I love me some big hair - and this is a great way to achieve it, so I'm starting on the other side again curling away from the face and just repeat until the bottom section is cope. Okay, now we're going to work on the rest of the section. So this is the top crown part of our hair that we are going to curl now and I'm going to take a pretty large section, I'm going to hold the curling iron over my head, like so and you're, going to wrap again just one time. This is going to create a lot of volume at the crown by curling your hair. This way and real quick, it's important to note that I am curling away from the little side twisties that we did, I'm not curling towards them, I'm crawling away from them. Okay, so last section I am taking my bangs in with my layers and again, I'm just wrapping it around once and it's curling back and then I'm just going to kind of shake everything out, and this again gives tremendous volume. I love this technique when you want big, big hair and a nice slight way, but you don't want curls, tight girls love this method, as you can see, curling back kind of like makes everything go in one direction, so it kind of makes this hairstyle just kind Of flow nicely together and if you'd like you can add, hair extensions, if you have short hair like myself or you can just rock the shoulder length, hair or maybe you already have long hair a step. I'M using my rapid effects from FHI shine spray and just a light coat over the hair and your hair will be nice and shiny, and if you'd like to follow me on all my networks, my links will be down below. Thank you guys for watching, and I will see you in the next video
