Correctly Customize A Swiss Lace Fake Scalp Wig!

Welcome back so today i'm going to be sharing with you guys how to customize a wig or how i like to customize a wig. I want to take myself out of today's video and we're going to focus on the skills and also the wig itself. Now the customization that i will be doing today is going to be on a fake scalp, swiss lace, wig, and it does come with a pre-plucked hairline. So i'm going to give a lot of tips on how to properly customize a fake scalp swiss lace wig, which is a completely different way than customizing a regular lace wig. So if you would like to see that let's jump right in before we jump into the styling, i have to introduce you to this wig. This wig comes from lush wig. For the install, since this is my first time working with this wig, let's do a quick unboxing. So in my box they put two claw clips and this is good for applying your wig. These are actually my favorite type of clips because they really keep the hair out of the way and they don't slide all over the place. So they also put in my box some bobby pins and also two combs. Now the bobby pins are good for if you are wearing a glueless application, so i love to have a lot of bobby pins around just in case. I just want to pop my wig on and go girl baby. They put a satin bonnet in this box. Now, i'm not sure if this will be in every box, but they put one in mine, and i am appreciative of that because i think this is an important necessity to have for a 26 inch wig, and i think they do that too, because boo boo and You try to sleep on a 26 inch wig and you don't cover the hair. You'Re gon na have problems. Okay, you're gon na be so disappointed. So get you a satin bonnet. Let'S take a look at the wig and i'm going to show you guys how it looks after i wash it. The texture of this wig is a body wave. This is what the body wave will look like after you wash it and baby. We wasn't playing no games with this wig. This is a 26 inch wig, but it's also 180 density. We are talking thick from root to tip this wig is not for play. This is not child's play. Okay, this is a grown woman. Sexy wig, it is 26 inches and 180 density hoop. This wig is not for the beginner. If you are a beginner just step away from the plate, you can get this wig in a shorter length and a lighter density, and it will be just fine. Let me show you what the cap look like: the inside comes with this removable adjustable band. Now this band is called the aka piano key band. I don't see the purpose in it. I feel like it does give the same results, no matter how you hook it. So i just usually take these out because they're kind of pointless for me now i'mma give you a tip that you probably didn't know about the fake scalp. When you insert the fake scalp inside of your wig, especially on the knots over top. It protects the knots and it protects the lace and makes it last longer. So that is a great thing about the fake scalp. If you didn't know now, what i do like to use in my wig is this adjustable band that is built in. I don't use the cones, but i'm gon na tell you now the adjustable band that's already inside the wig is better than the one that they just put in there. It is going to secure your wig, let's be honest, with the adjustable band that they insert that one just leaves the back of your wig flopping up and down, so it don't really secure the back alright. So the knots on this wig are very small. This wig does come with fully bleached knots, so i did not even need to bleach the knots i was prepared to, but i didn't have to so. As you can see, the knots are bleached. Let'S talk about the lace, this is swiss lace, so this lace is going to be really undetectable, as you can see just putting it up against my hand, you can see how well it melts. This lace is meant to melt with the skin. It'S going to be more invisible on the skin compared to regular lace. So that's why i love swiss lace because it's going to melt, i mean i can go on and on and on while i love the swiss lace, but i guess it's better for you guys to see it so make sure you come back tuesday. When i install this wig, so you can actually see for yourself how this lace melts and how good it is. Now, with this lace, color, it will match a lot of skin tones. You may need to tint it a bit, but if you bleach, the knots do not normally turn brownish. So if you are darker, you probably won't even notice the lace color because of the knots now it's time to jump into the customization part of this video. So today, i'm going to show you the proper way. You should be tweezing a hairline. If your wig has the fake scalp insert and also a pre-plucked hairline, because you don't want to pluck it the same way, you would do a hairline without the fake scalp insert. So, as you can see right there, you can see that fake scalp material. So i'm separating the hair at the front away from the area that has the fake scalp material. There are invisible threads that hold this material in the cap. If you tweeze that area that fake scalp material will lift, you also want to be careful when combing the hairline area for that purpose. Also so what i did was bring the hair which would be toward the face if this was on my head and i'm tweezing in a downward motion, and i'm not touching the area where the fake scalp is now the reason i'm not tweezing backwards. Like most people do is because you will thin out the front of the hairline way too much when tweezing a pre-plucked hairline. You never want to tweeze, starting at the front tweezing in a downward motion like this will prevent you from over thinning that hairline. Really. The only reason you would need to tweeze a pre-plucked hairline is to get rid of the uniform shape and to give it a more natural hairline shape so tweezing a pre-plugged hairline is definitely different from tweezing, a hairline that is not pre-plucked. You should not be tweezing. The same exact way now i'm going to go ahead and pre-style the wig. This is an important step, because this is where the magic happens. This is going to determine how natural your wig look once you put it on your head and i do feel like the styling is the most important part of applying a wig. So i'm just taking my hot comb and pushing that hairline back. I'M gon na go ahead and set the parting. Now, once i go to apply this wig on my head, i may change the parting because it may not line up right and you know once i go to apply it, but as you can see, the hairline looks so good. The parting looks so good. The knots are bleached very well and you can kind of see that fake scalp material. It is a bit dark. So i am kind of curious to see when i apply it on my head, if it's going to blend with my skin complexion. So when i go apply this wig tuesday, i'm definitely going to be paying attention to that and you guys will see once we apply it then, when using the hot comb you want to take your time. You want to really just finesse. The wig do as much as you can here, because this is what's going to matter on how flat your wig lays once you apply it. So i like to take my time and make sure every hair at the root is laying it's flat. Sometimes i will go through section by section and do this, but it's just whatever you want to do. I'M going to add some layers throughout this wig because it is a 26 inch length and i do feel like i want the wig when i do apply it to frame my face and just you know, look very natural and with 26 inches you have a lot Of hair to work with, so you won't lose a lot of length. If you cut longer layers, i'm only going to cut layers in the front of the wig, i'm not a pro at cutting hair. I never claim to be, but i think i make it work. So that's what i'm going to do, i'm going to add curls around this wig, because it is a 26 inch. I don't expect it to hold curls for a long period of time like a shorter length wheels. So i'm not going to take my time and add a lot of small curls around this wig, i'm just going to take big chunks of the hair and bend it and give it some volume and some bends. I honestly cannot wait until i installed this wig. I know it's going to be fire like it's going to look so good. It already looks good and it's not even applied hunty, so i think this wig is going to be so beautiful once i install it make sure your notifications are turned on so that when i upload the install, you won't miss that video boom honey.
