How To Slay A Lace Wig! (Start To Finish)

Tutorial on how I prep and apply a lace wig to get a natural look with no leave out!

The Wig I Received:

http://www.rpgshow.com/stock-tamar-ful...

model #: cls034-s

hair color: the same as celebrity

hair length: 20"

cap construction: glueless lace cap

cap size: size 1

lace color: light brown

hair texture: yaki

So today, I'm here to show you how I apply a lace wig with no leave out. I just got this week from RPG show and of course it comes packaged in this nice black box, and the wig I received is the CLS 0. 3. 4 s. I got it in this bright blonde color, because I was just in one of my moods and wanted to try something new. You know how I get so it has an adjustable strap in the back and three combs on the inside, so you can get it to fit how you need it to fit on your head and here's how the wig looked on me. It was a really nice color, but I just felt like it didn't agree with my skin tone. I kind of felt like it washed me out, so I just went over it with a black rinse and made the wig all black now on to the application beforehand. I put my hair in six cornrows going straight back, so the first thing I do is flatten the top of the wig, so it doesn't have that like lifted root, Wiggy look and always wash any hair before I put it on so while this wig is still Damp, I'm just gon na plop it on my head and I'm not worried about the placement too much at this point to flatten the wig I'm going in with a dryer and I'm blow-drying around the party while also brushing it down - and this is just going to Get the hair to lay really flat and look like it's growing out of my scalp after I flatten the roots, I'm popping on my comb attachment and going through the rest of the hair. And, of course, I'm just going to continue this until my entire head is dry, and here it is all dry. As you can see, this hair gets really straight and sleek, but it still has a lot of body and bounce to it. Now it's time to fix that part. So I took the wig off and I tighten the straps in the back, so it can fit really snug and tight on my head and I'm going for a side part. So I'm just going to line up the part in the wig with the part in my hair. I make sure to put it on about half inch behind my hairline, because when your real hair line shows it makes a world of difference in how believable it looks. In my opinion, so once I have it all lined up, I'm inserting the combs into my braids to secure the wig, and so it will lay flat. Now here you can still see the line where the wig starts, so to fix that I'm taking a bit of foundation and I'm placing that on the line, then I'm also bringing it back to make the part on the wig a bit more visible and I'm dabbing That, in with my finger to blend in the foundation, so it looks a lot better, but the parts still don't quite match up. So I'm taking an eyeliner pen and I'm going through and filling in the gaps and my real hair to match the density and the width of the part in the wig so that it all flows seamlessly, and this is the finished product. This is what I do to all lace, wigs to give them a realistic look, and I really like this unit - it's not super thin. The density is really good and the hair is so soft and bouncy and just easy to manage. So I hope this video was helpful to you guys and I will catch you on the next one. Bye
