Hey guys welcome back to my channel. If you are new here, you are welcome today. I will be sharing with you guys the basic things that i use for my braided wigs if you're interested in making a unit for yourself - and you are not sure where to start, then this video is for you keep watching so first you're going to need a Wig cap, i use the mesh wig cap and i like this one because it's stretchy and breathable you can also use the dome wig cap, which is this one. There are so many options out there for you to choose from so, depending on your preference and what the client wants. You can go for either one. Secondly, you need a good canvas block head to hold the wig cap. I like this one, because one side is flat and the other side has like a curve, and that is how you know the front from the back. They all come in different sizes. I have a 22 and i think i have a 22.5 and 24.. I do not recommend that you use a styrofoam head, however, if this is what is available to you or what you can afford go for it. This is the styrofoam head that i used when i started making wigs. So i'm talking from experience, you can cover it up with some duct tape and it will work just fine until you get the black head. You also need a small latch hook to attach the braids to the cap. You can also use thread and needle i have videos on how you can use both of them. If you are going to create a middle or side part, then you need a lace fabric. You can also use a lace closure, depending on what you prefer or what your client wants. You need pins to secure the cap to the weak, plug in my hand, i have the teeth in. You can also use the quilting pins, which is safer for beginners. Sometimes, when you order the block head, the t-pins are part of the package, so you might want to look at your options closely, so you don't have to buy them separately. Last, but not the least. You need something to hold the block head, so you can either get this table clamp. Sometimes it comes with the block head and all you need to do is attach it to a table or chair, and you are good to go. It doesn't take up a lot of space. You can also get a heavy duty tripod stand. I have a full video explaining how you can use it, i'm going to put everything in the description box below so guys. These are the essential and basic things you need to start making your braided wigs. You can start with the crochet needle the cap, the block head and the stand, and you can always add more things as needed, so guys we have come to the end of this video. I hope you found something useful if so, give this video a thumbs up. Leave a comment share with someone and why not subscribe right? Thank you guys. So much for watching and i'll see you guys in my next video
