Salon Visit! My First Lace Wig Install! Bald Cap Method | Kandidkinks

Hey guys welcome back to my channel, it's lexi and today's video is going to be all about me getting my her given hair kinky blowout full lace wig installed at the salon. I am beyond excited to get this done and show you guys how i got the look, so i'm at the salon. This is laid by lena. You can find her on instagram and on youtube and what she's doing here is she's bleaching, the knots so, as you guys know, if you're not new here, i'm definitely not a wig expert um. I do really only use her given hair wigs, but i've never actually did like a wig install with the stocking cap method and bleaching the knots and all that stuff. So i went ahead and got a professional to help me out and get it done. For me. You guys can see what she's, using in the background right there. If you follow me on instagram, you've already seen me rocking this wig the past few days and i'm really in love with a multitude of things, but this is a full lace wig. It has like literally parting space, all over the wig. It has clips, it has a band and it's just really comfortable and the hair feels amazing, so we're going to get through the whole process of me getting this installed. My hair was already like washed and cleansed and moisturized she does wash and moisturize and condition and braid your hair down with each install. Just in case. You guys want to go to her and she's just lightly detangling, my already detangled, hair and she's going to braid. It up to put the cap on and then obviously put the wig on so now that my hair is all braided down and out of the way she is applying some gel on my edges and basically just sticking them back and out of the way as well. So when she puts the cap on and the gel on and the glue on that, my hair will be protected and not damaged whatsoever, which is very, very important. You don't want to actually have your edges out with styles like this, because it can get damaged especially over time, if you keep on doing it, so just cleaning off my skin a little bit just to apply some skin protectant um literally on my skin. It'S not even on my hairline just to make sure that my skin is protected from whatever else is to come with the styling. I'M almost positive is what she's doing and then we're putting on the cap. So she put the cap on my head and then she's going to apply some gel um. I believe it's got to be glued to it slick down to my hair and make sure that you know we're just setting the base for the ball cap method. I'M sure this isn't the first ball cap method you guys have seen, but it was my first time. Having done, i was actually very, very hyped to see how it came out. So now lena is applying some makeup, which is same color as my skin. She actually had um a plethora of makeup there for her clients, so she's just applying that to the cap, so that it will blend, obviously with my skin when it's time to put the wig on she's cutting the excess off of the cap. As you guys can see, i'm trying just to make it blend the whole point of this is to make the cap look like it's extension of my forehead like it's an extension of my actual head um. I guess so um. Now, what we're doing or what she's doing is applying the actual glue. So i believe she did this about three to four times. I'M not going to show you guys literally each individual time, but she just did one half of my head spread the glue and then on the other half and spread the glue the exact same way and again. I believe it was a minimum of three, but it might have been four four times just to get the hair the glue to obviously be tacky and to make the lace wig adhere to the cap, which i think is pretty self-explanatory. So now it's time to apply the wig and she's actually putting um some more makeup on the inside of the lace um and she obviously did rinse out that bleach from earlier and then she also toned the knots as well. So it wouldn't look. You know an off color from what i understand so she's applying the wig to my head and i just think it's kind of crazy like how, once it was applied. First of all, this wig texture looks like my hair in a blowout, which is amazing, literally i'm running away for like three days and more than a few people have asked me if it was my hair, which i think is crazy, because it's so long but the Texture is so believable and that's why i'm like fooling people out here with this kinky blowout wig. I just love it like ugh. I can't wait. I mean i'm wearing it right now, but i can't wait for y'all to see how she styled it and the final look is just so so cute and the hairline does come pre-plucked like wet. It comes pre-plucked on top of all that we have a really high quality lace. The stylist did comment on how good the lace was as well as how the hair was not shedding a crazy amount which is really important, especially because i plan to use this wig over and over and over again. I'Ve had about like four, i believe her given hair, wigs and some clip-ins and a ponytail, and i literally wear and use all of them to this day. The quality truly is really really good and it does last a long time so she's just basically cutting off the extra lace, she's cutting some baby hair she's, making sure that the wig is attached, etc, etc, etc. As you guys can see just giving some finite details and making it look as natural as possible, i want to show you guys her sewing the back of the wig down onto the braid. The wig has clips and the wig has a band, so you do not have to do this, but just for security purposes and me wanting to be able to wear this wig without taking it off at night. Obviously, i'm getting it literally glued onto my head. She sewed it really lightly in the back and as you can see, that parting space back there is crazy, literally full parting, all around the wig um, because it's fully it's a full lace wig. So now we're just perfecting the wig is on my head. The wig is in place, she's perfecting the baby, hair she's perfecting um, just that front portion gelling it down applying some mousse, just basically styling the hair and we're gon na get into actually curling it in a minute - and i was super super hyped for that. This hair takes heat really well and it took the curls also really well. I live in miami-dade county, so it got pretty humid that night. So, even though the curls didn't last me a crazy long time, all i have to do is braid the hair up twist. The hair up put some flexi rods in the hair, and i have been doing that at night and the hair just takes it right back. This looks like it could be my hair right now. This texture is phenomenal when she took off the wraps. I was an absolute awe at how melted and how laid this lace looked. This hair looks like it could be my hair with some clippings, like it looks really full really thick and really believable shout out to her giving hair shout out to lay by lena, because this is a really really beautiful look.
