How To Put A 4X4 Lace Closure In A Ponytail With No Baby Hair

Welcome back to my channel, so y'all have been seeing me rock this leaky ponytail all over Instagram and Facebook and y'all have been asking me a lot about it. So I'm gon na be doing a tutorial today, I'm starting off with freshly washed and conditioned hair, so I'm just lightly blow drying it and then I'm going to start working on the ponytail. So firstly, I'm grabbing a toothbrush and I'm gon na work. All of the hairs into the ponytail as well as I can and then I'm grabbing my wax stick. Now I put this around the perimeter of the ponytail and this holds all the little flyaways together and it makes it easier to gather up to here. So I'm adding this all the way around it. The next product I'm going to use is some foam and I'm going to squirt a generous or pump a generous amount all over the ponytail and I'm gon na work that in with the toothbrush as well. I try to use products that I feel don't build up on the hair now the wax think I would tread lightly because it eventually will build up, but as far as the foam in the wax together in the amount that I used, I feel that it gives Me minimal build-up, so I'm still brushing and gathering the hair together and separating the other hair for this I'm using a hard bristle brush. I try to leave as much footage in as possible, because this is not as easy as it seems. You see the ponytail getting stuck on the pins and stuff, it's not as easy as it seems, so you just want to take your time and gather the hair neatly. I wanted this tutorial to be as real as possible, so you can understand what it takes to get your ponytail to look like this. I would suggest sitting down and grabbing your things and playing the tutorial back for the best results. So you can see that I'm alternating between the toothbrush and the bigger brush and that's what's really going to lay those hairs down. So I want you guys to really pay attention to this next part, because it's important so I'm using a black rubber band standing rubber band and that's what I'm gon na use to put the ponytail end. So this is what I want you to pay attention to how I'm putting this ponytail on. So you can see I'm gathering that hair into this ponytail and I'm grabbing a rubber band opening it up. But I never let go of the ponytail and even when I go to loop it in and watch I'm looping it in. I take my finger and I pressed down on the base of the ponytail to hold it still, and I do that each time I'm looping it from side to side. I pull it watch this. I pull it tight so that I can twist the rubber band. I pull that ponytail tight twist, the rubber band and then loop it through, but even when I'm looping it through I'm still holding down the base of the ponytail, and that is going to be key to putting a flat ponytail on your closure and or frontal. Even if the closure or front was on your head at the time, you still want to find a way to keep the base of the ponytail flat and still so now that when I go to separate and tighten watch, this wasn't that so satisfying to see a Rubber band hiding on a closure without the hairs and the ponytail bucking up in the front, and you can smooth them down more if you want to with your toothbrush, but wasn't that beautiful and satisfying. I have yet to find a video on YouTube to show me how to really put a really sleek ponytail in my frontal, so this was definitely trial and error for me and so yeah. I wanted to share this with you guys, because I knew that it would be just such a breath of fresh air. Now I wanted to utilize as much space as possible on this culture. This is a 4 by 4 closure, so I parted really thin parts over the edge of the closure, and I didn't leave that much hair to cover up the rest of the closure. So you can see the color you're peeking through on the side a little bit. I'M going to show you how to cover that up, because the lace on the edge of the closure, as we all know, it's a lot thicker than the rest of the lace. So sometimes it shows through. Once I put this on my head, I'm going to show you guys how to cover that up, but moving on, I added a little bit of weave to the ponytail and then I'm using spritz to straighten out this little piece. I'M gon na wrap around my ponytail to cover up the tracks, and now this is not my first time doing this hairstyle with this hair, I'm actually just redoing it. So this is the same piece of hair that I've used to wrap around the ponytail. So you can see that it's already curly because it's been wrapped around the ponytail, so it just made it curly now to wrap the hair around I'm using my toothbrush and spritz and I'm using that to smooth down the hair. Now what the spritz is gon na do is allow the hair to stick to itself, so it's gon na harden later so that it doesn't separate and it's gon na stay. Put now for this, you could use hairspray if you're, not a spritz person, but preferably for me. I think spritz works better, so I'm gon na finish wrapping this ponytail in real time and while I'm doing this, I also want to tell you that I do make wigs I'm a licensed cosmetologist, I'm located in Richmond Virginia. They sent me a 20 inch closure, 26, 28 and 30 inch bundles of their Peruvian here, and I must say I really do like this here. This is the first 30 inch hair that I've worn that actually holds the curl. We voted on Instagram. What I should do with this hair - and you guys wanted to see it curly so the first time I was here, I worden curls and it held forever like even after a week. It still had um little waves in it and I had to wash and straighten it for this tutorial, so I did like that about this hair. All the information on this vendor will be in the description box. If you want to know more and purchase this hair to seal off this piece of hair that I wrapped around the ponytail, I'm gon na spray it with a little more spritz and then smooth it down and then, as it dries it's gon na harden and it Won'T move after that's done, I'm gon na comb out the ponytail and then I'm going to finish blow-drying, because if you remember at the beginning, I only blow-dried the hair lightly and then I styled so as I'm blow-drying the hair. This bridge is gon na hurt anyway, from all the hot air after the hair is completely dry, I'm going to flat iron the wig, and then I will apply it to my head and don't forget. I'M gon na show you how to cover up that lace. Once I put it on my head, I've had this cap alone for a little bit, so it's a little rickety out and settle on it a little too much but you're not gon na be able to tell - and this unit has no baby hairs whatsoever. So I'm going to show you how to melt this into your skin and really latest wig, so I'm only using hair spray to apply my wig. I don't use any type of glue. I use hairspray to put the capital on and I use hairspray to glue the lace down or just put the lace down because not glue yeah and the hairspray works fine. For me, it holds fine now. What I'm doing here is really pressing this lace into my skin, I'm using the back and the teeth on the teeth of the comb, to really press it into my skin, and I think this gives the best results. Now I'm taking just a sharp pin to make sure none of the lace is folded over on the front of my skin. So I take it under and scoop just to make sure everything is really really flat and apply a generous amount of hairspray to make sure this thing is laid down. So now I'm going to show you how to cover up that piece of lace on the closure. I'M just using a black eyeliner and I go right over the area where the lace is the thickest and that will cover that right up for you, okay, ladies, so the lace has been laid, and this is what it looks like: filter versus no filter.
