Custom Wig Cap Construction

This is the video where I make the wig cap for this lady from Denmark. I am using the canvas block that her hairdresser made and she shipped it to me. This way we can be 100% sure the wig will fit her head!

The video is long but I explain so much, this is also a 3 lace wig cap construction, which means I use three types of lace, very strong for the back, strong but undetectable for the top and fine and undetectable for the front.

If I used two laces or one lace the wig cap construction could have been different slightly

Hello, everyone. This is the super week major and today I'm going to make week cap. I have already made a wig cap video how to make a custom, but it was made with tulle and I didn't talk in there and I didn't explain many things so today. I decided to make a wig cap for a lady that requested a custom made unit. It'S going to be a lace front. I'M gon na make a full lace cap. Of course, this back is going to have star delays. The dogs going to have normal lace and the hell is going to have super fine lace and yeah. I'M going to walk you through this. First of all, she sent me these and this. This is the head mold, and this is the canvas helots email out of a similar one. Now the markings that seafood are not correct. I don't know you can see the red marking, it's not identical. If this is the center, you see that this, and this don't seem to be quite the same as well as the deer types I just put this one here, but it seems that this is much more symmetrical. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to wear this over here. You see that the markets don't fall correctly fold kind of correctly here, but not here. So I'm going to go ahead. I'M gon na pin it here and there just so. I can get needs to be to stay in one place. It doesn't move too much. I'M not going to need this on top once I'm done, we'll only add a lot of volume, and I don't want it to add in all. If I wanted to be as far as possible, just bring a little bit of pins here and there just make sure that it's going to stay secure enough. Okay, now I'm going to take a marker and I'm going to mark the line because, as far as I can see, she didn't do it exactly the way that she had to. This is also kind of approximate. We don't know what this is the right on. You see, I have put these ones here, I'm just leaving cold a little bit of extra here just to be on the safe side, the box. It doesn't matter so much to be honest with you and about this stuff, yeah yeah pretty much. No! It'S supposed to be kind of, so I'm just going to go ahead and remove this now see how it looks so when you make the Commerce head rather weak. Guys block here is essential to do a good job, because if you don't you might make a unit, doesn't do it much your head so nicely so yeah! That'S how it is. I don't want this to start rubbing off on the week itself. So I'm going to put a little bit of paper on top of it, transparent tape, just to make sure that it's going to stay there. Where is my tools when I need energy? I always keep losing my things over here as well. It'S just for precaution, so the ingot iPod doesn't have it one continuous strip, I'm doing this. So, as I said, I don't coming in slipping into the lace rubbing it off a little bit over here. So when you want to make a custom unit, you better have our head mold. Otherwise, you can never be 100 % sure it is going to fit and making this thing take like ten minutes or something so I mean the top part takes about ten minutes to make this territory just put this the polyurethane foam in there. I keep things clear from, but this is polyurethane foam. You put it in there that you leave it and going to set itself and everything is going to be just fine and you won't have any problem whatsoever. You can then create as many weeks as you want with this canvas head for the same person. Okay, I think I'm fine. So this is the canvas head. It seems to have a little bumps here and there, but I think it's going to be just fine. So for the back, where I'm going to have webs that I use this Bhd lace, which is extremely strong and sturdy, and I shouldn't I didn't - I don't need to use lace. I could use anything I want, but I'm going to use lace because I want to have a cap construction. I don't want to have that adjustable straps in the back, because this is elastic and I want the way to fit the head correctly. So before I can't is I'm going to measure this is give it 7 inches for again it's not enough not in up. So let me get this side here and I'm going to go through here. I just try to not to lose too much lace. When I cut - maybe I start cutting from here - let's just say that say for the state I'm going up from here. Okay, so I need this is going to be top to bottom and this is going to be ear to ear. So I need, as I said, 222 centimeter approximately, which is about up to here. Put a pin over there. Let'S make it 23 tends to be sure. Then I pin this area just to remember. This is all the amount that I need to do and I said 32 from ear to ear tab, but I subscribe gon na put like 38 and put like three centimeters more each side. Just be sure. I don't need to mark this because I can cut it now that I have a market correct. I'M also going to mark this, which is, as we said it's about my inches. This is also about Y 9 inches on your 23. I need 7 and I'm cutting more, so I need it to be like up to here. So I'm going to take this and I'm going to try to cut a straight line. You just take it in the middle, so you can see and a super straight line here, or at least I'm trying to it's easy, because I'm cutting one row of holes and leaving the rest intact dog is barking behind okay. So I should have actually kept that out of ping as well, although it's pretty obvious where it should be, because I have like Crees over here. So it's not that difficult for me to carry so, let's try to cut I'm gon na cut in the same side. Again, I'm going to kind of all these crease. I can make a straight line here. I mean I'm making a straight line, but I can't be hungry. Sensual, that's gon na be super straight, I'm removing this more okay. So this is the PISA I'm gon na use and put the rest back now. This lace was provided to me but Dave. I don't remember it's me five on four or something, if I remember correctly, because we took in person now I don't talk with him and his nickname. So I only know his. Oh sorry, here's a five one, four yeah, I remember. As I said, I took a person the same, so I don't really remember his nickname before I made the week up. I really need to make some markings on the mannequin head. As you see it's not, I don't know if you can see that it's not a correct shape, I mean the shape should be okay, because it's malleable like this can be like this. It is whatever you make it's going to be the spine, but I really need to mark where it's got the middle. So let's, let's get this I'm going to do that. I'M going to put since these are the temples forget about the red line? Let'S remember the black: this is these are the temples, so this here should be the middle okay. So I'm going to take this and put the tape over here, I'm going to try to keep it sharply in the middle. I actually want this to be this side. Being the middle, because this is then I'm going to have one here, let me just mark this just mark this, because giving will just be okay and now one more time I have to make a marking. I want to see this is the fear tab, and this is the bone here. I want to see exactly above the ear where it starts the ear, of course, so this side on the way to this side. We just take again marker marking things again and I'm going to have to put some tape here to remember so. The colors are gon na bleed, proximately, okay cabe again so now I can see exactly what the middle parts are being connected kind of, and I already measured and cut off lace. So what I'm going to do is try to find the middle approximately lamp in the middle, where I think it needs to fall and Mark see that the lace is straight, not tilted like that, or that has to be straight enough and put one pin in the Back right here in the middle - and you want to put a couple of pins around the body in order to make sure that, unless not going to kill itself okay, so I want this top part. As I said to be clean from seams. I don't want to have seems like that over here because, as I said, I might have to ventilate some hair here. If I see that the laser I put on top is not enough, so it just takes some more pins and start pinning. What I don't want have any seams right here, going to be low enough all the way here and now I'm left with this one. Now in the back, I'm going to pin it flat one more over here and then in the ear tabs. Here'S! What, if you want to ventilate here, you put it like that the late-night goal, this way of courtly can go this way as well, but the faces the strong parts are going this way, so you want to have the legs going that way, so don't put it Like that or like that, because then people did like that, for example, this is the head. I'M going to go like this, it's going to go towards the ears forward. We want these to go slightly tilted in the back like that, but this way, okay, but of course, as I said, I'm going to put waves in the back. So it's not going to be too visible or anything like that. Then I'm going to put one more here that goes kind of vertical, like that. Let'S just put it like this this way now this needs to be a little boards like this and let's see the seams are going to be symmetrical. I'M gon na have a couple seams here as well, so let's start pinning it down, I'm not going to force. This seems to be somewhere, that's not natural for the leis and I always tend to want to have this seems going downwards. I don't want them to be like this, because then they get closer to the area of interest which is illegal, so I'd rather have them, let's find the peak which should be somewhere here. You know what I need to remove all the pins from this little cow that I have here, not this one, this one. I want this down here, okay, so this is one area that I'm going to have pinched and apparently I'm going to leave another one outside because, as I said, I prefer to make my camps as symmetrical as possible. Then I'm going to put one over here. Okay and one where the two laces connect to each other, like so beep now, okay, I'm gon na bring it down yeah and then one where the sim just starts being created, I'm not going to cut anything for now. It'S going to stretch is over here I'm having a very big task triangular here. We will see what we're going to do it out in a moment. As I said, I'm not cutting anything, because I want to make sure that when I use the front blades, I'm gon na have enough for my place to work with, and of course, as you see, this seam doesn't actually work exactly as we would think it would. So I'm going to have to pin it one more time here, yeah you now. I have some amazing hair store lace and I'm going to put it on the top part, and this is what I'm going to ventilate the top piece, because I want this to be both undetectable but also securing up. And I don't really want to use to edit Dania in the top part, so you're kind of measure and see. Oh, my god, look at that. What do you know? It actually fits so nicely from heat to here actually fit so. Lastly, so I better cut yeah. I think it's a mouth here we just efficient enough wait, wait edges there. It is now I'm going to cut this piece and then I'm going to come back. So I cut the lace, and now I just put the middle right over here. I'M going to put the next middle right over in the fall apart as well. I can make this with this limb, but now I'm going to use lace, as I said, as I promised good lace, and I want this to lay really flat. Sorry, I'm gon na put this place up to here. I actually got a little bit too much here to be honest with you and since I'm going to add from here to here a different lace. I want this part of the lace to lay as flat as possible. Okay, let's have I paint over here. Remove this one add it over here and I'm going to put another pin all right and then I'm going to proceed again to the same way of making you you. So as you see, I have finished most of the wheat cup, I'm inside the black markings. This is the front I still come haven't proved yet I'm going to put 20 Daniel ace here. I have intense folding and layering. The only reason that I have it so big here is because this area is going to have weft, so I don't really care so much all the way here. This BHT lace - I might have to make this part ventilated instead of weft it just to you, know, bulky of course, and this is why I have this lace here so as to be able to handle it, partly because this is star glaze and still not rip. The lace this is BHT, sorry, this is amazing, hair store lace. It doesn't really look thinner than that. It is thinner, it's less dense, of course, and the hair goes in these directions as well and yeah. I have these two inevitable ugly seems that they won't be visible once the wig is done and right now I only have to add front lace up to here up to here, which is going to be the gainer 20 from Bambury and postage, because it's the most Undetectable it's going to be super fine, super nice. It'S going to take a little extra care to be worn and be used, but overall it's going to be perfect because it's not going to be detectable. So I'm gon na put a black blouse. So you can see what I'm doing. This is the lace, it's very it's not too delicate, but it's invisible enough. I mean you probably won't be able to tell by now, but it's quite undetectable and it's very difficult to work with and tell you, but I can work with this. So what I have to do is first of all have to measure how much I'm going to need I'm going to be on the safe side again so from here. I'M going to leave an extra this amount, a bill here extra this amount. So I need all this area and for how long I get like just Marcus over here, just to be sure, first of all right here, I just made a small cat so as to remember, Oh God, a little bit too much better. They should be enough here, and I have to say that yeah this here is not this here should be now just forget about it. Okay, and this is how good I need it to be. Even I'm gon na leave a little extra, more just be sure. Okay, I'm gon na proceed in cutting this first and then I'm gon na tell you what I will do to make sure that spits is fits perfectly so show you something here have put a vertical thread which goes strictly to one line: to see: okay strictly in One line just to see that the lace is, you know, I know the direction of the, so I don't put it like tilted like that about my. I just know exactly how it should lay on the wheat cap. So let's just remove this and come here. I'M going to find approximately the half, so it's right over here, I'm going to put it I'm going to put a pin over here, but I have to make sure that I'm going to put only one pin because I don't want to puncture the lace. This is very fragile. It'S very easy to weep, so I don't want to have only one pin holding it because that place is going to get all the tension. I'M going to put a couple of them just to make sure that this is not going to weep and most of those shredding, I'm not stretching at them pinning and just letting it rest normally and naturally, and then I'm pinning it down being extra secure over here. Okay, so even if I pull it now, it pulls all these area, so this line is going to straight to the black line, a little lower than that, of course, and I want to make sure because you know this is the hair, and this is the front Part if she wants to wear this without the need of glue, I mean she doesn't really need to stick it close to stick it to to her skin. It will cling towards your skin because I make sure that this line here is laying as flat as possible on the first game and then just to make sure that it's all lined up correctly. I'M gon na see where this lace this lines needs to pass from. This Kree that I have here is bad of the hair. I'M gon na pin it below that because, as I said, I don't want to put pins in the area of interest. So they're gon na put like a I'm gon na put another one, just to be sure I'm not gon na, but I don't mind really get back here because it's already too back, but I read it, you don't need to read that and then the other one Is going to go here so symmetrical? It'S all nice, all good! I'M gon na put it as dark as this one again. So imagine this being a week, I'm gon na just of course pin everything back then I'm going to stitch it over here. Imagine that this is a week if you were a unit, the tension is going to be I'm gon na put on elastics here or we can put glue here whatever we want you glue this part you glue this part of the skin. Just you know so as to have a little bit of security in the unit, but you don't blow the whole unit. So if you good here and here and just pull it, what you're pulling is this area? So this spot here is going to get all the tension is going to glow towards the skin. So we know that this is good, all these, of course, if she doesn't cut it like that, she needs to kick this area here. This is going to be here, but this area here is going to have ways and no hair at all. She needs to leave it alone if she wants this effect to exist, because if you have, you cut the lace exactly like this. This hair is going to be kept nicely by this, but this is going to be able to flop. Like that. You know it's gon na just get up. You need to have lace in the side to keep it down, and then he can't flop. It see going back, but if you have a little edge like that, you don't have anything to keep it down will flop. Eventually, you can't do anything about it, and the only thing you can actually do is just glue it down be sure. That'S not going to go anywhere so this place here is going to be just fine. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to proceed in putting a few more pins everywhere, just to make sure ins correctly? It'S not coming. I'M not gon na hold this. In them, yet it offset so again, I'm gon na proceed to stitching it down and then the wakeup is going to be ready. Finally, you so I the the we kept out of the cameras head and I have just added a line in the middle, where I have these little lines over here, so as to remember exactly where yes, and also I have put some thread in the hairline. So I can very easily pin it back now before I call this wrap and a wig cap who is ready to be ventilated and have the West in the back. I need to do one more thing and I'm going to do this one more thing, because I'm perfectionist - and I really want to be able to make the wig stand so nicely it's about the the ear adapt now the front part. She will not cut it all. The way here, of course, it's going to leave a little bit of lace, at least this amount of lace. So that means that this is not going to flop up, as I said, but the ear tabs will eventually have this crease over here. The cat, because it's going to be the ears you can really have so this area here kind of flop, the same way that these think flaps over here. So I have to do something about that and let me just see is this symmetrical. You can see that the wig cap is almost symmetrical. It'S not a hundred percent. The hairline is symmetrical. I put the last two get together. This is something that I really want for my units for my caps. I want everything to be as symmetrical as possible. It'S not a hundred percent, but you get the point. It'S not like some one here and one there. So it's kind of symmetrical enough for me. It works well so yeah, I'm gon na proceed with doing what I want for the ear tops and I'm going to tell you exactly what I did so I don't know and whispering, because people are sleeping in the house right now. So, as you have seen from the inside our stitched, let me turn this inside out. I have put this little plastic thing. She can actually put it out if she wants to so this is the ear tab. Okay and she can actually load this down. If she wants to, if she doesn't want to have this glued down, you can put this or is it inside this little globe that I have created and then put in here the other one. So now it's it's a fixed. I think this is going to do. I also put another one in this side. Of course, what this is going to do is that it's going to have that the ear tabs will not flap, they will just cling back to her head and I'm going to show you. I know how visible this is. Going to be now, this is the ear tab. You can flip it now not going to flap up look. So even if she doesn't glue each unit, you do have the ability stay down and I'm gon na send her a couple more because you know how long? Please look at that have so many, and these are not week Sprint's because week Springs are very expensive. This is something different, so I got it from ebay and I'm gon na send more so now the wheat cup is ready and I'm ready to ventilate and so in the trucks as well. You
