Single flat knots and double flat knots are two traditional hair ventilation techniques for human hair wigs which fix the hair to the base by knotting. They both have different characteristics. Single flat knots, for example, are very small. The hair will lie down on the base and its direction can be changed freely. They can be used on lace bases and skin bases. We usually use this method on the back and sides to create a natural flat effect.
Double flat knots, on the other hand, are bigger but at the same time, they are very strong and durable. The hair will also lay flat on the base and its direction can be changed freely. However, you should be aware that double flat knots can only be used on strong base materials or certain materials with large holes like PE line, elastic net or skin with gauze. They will break the bases of more fragile materials like transparent skin and Swiss lace.
