Hey guys, it's Valerie here, so welcome back to my channel. So in this video I really wanted to show you guys how I lay my four lace. Wigs, a lot of people have been asking me and I have changed like the way I do them. So in this video, that's what I'll be doing. So if you want to see how I laid my wig, then definitely keep on watching. Oh Lord! That is exactly what I'm saying at this moment, alright guys, so I'm putting my wig on now. This wig is still the same wig for my last video. This wig is from the Ariston hair company I'll leave all of their link to this hair down below. So the first step is just to measure the head from ear to ear: well, not the head! What the heck measure the lace from ear to ear? That is what I always do, but since I already applied this wig, I'm just double-checking triple checking. That'S just what I do then those little clips you saw that I showed you guys before. I just use these clips just to clip the hair back, so there's no hair in the way when I'm doing this down so just clip all of the air out of the way you'll. Thank me later trust me. I have made mistakes about these clips, so just do that all right! Now that we're all done. You just want to dance a little, because that was a lot of work. Next up, you're, just gon na take some rubbing alcohol. It doesn't matter what percentage it is. I asked my sister to give me some alcohol. That'S what she got me and then you just want to take some makeup. Remover wipes I use both of them combined to remove the makeup that I already have on any excess dirt or oil. That'S on my forehead! Even if you guys don't wear makeup before you apply your lace, wig just use some alcohol or the makeup, remover wipe or both and just wipe that area off, so the lace is able to stick better onto your forehead. Also, I want to note that I glue my lace on my forehead, not on my edges. I made that mistake before and I'm paying for it now. My baby ears are going back slowly, so just a tip. So now I'm just checking again to see if the way still fits, even though I know it does, but I always double triple quadruple check, because that is important. So the next step is to take your glue. I use ghost bond glue. I found this at my beauty supply store for $ 19.99. This is the glue that I've always used for a while when I wants to do my hair for my sister's wedding, that is the glue that my hair stylist used and I'm not allergic to it. So I just kept on using it and I'm just gon na take a little price tag. That'S what I usually put my glue on, because it does get very sticky. So I like to take my rat tail comb to apply the glue. I'M not even gon na lie. I use the end of the comb. I pick up the glue and I put that thing on my forehead, not on my hair, not on my baby here, guys. Just don't do it. I'Ve done it. You know a few times and over a period of time, your hair will start fading away like bye-bye like. No, just don't do it just put it on your forehead and I like using the ends of the comb, because it gives me a smooth and even application of the glue. So that way it's not bumpy or lumpy, because this can become a very messy process. So basically, I just like to apply the glue on my forehead and I work in section so that right there is one section and then I'm starting to work on another section right now and I'm just going down on my forehead. That sounds so wrong, but, like I'm literally just going down along my forehead until that top section becomes clear, so then I know it's ready to place the lace down. So that's what I'm doing and I'm already working on another section. As you can see right there, I'm placing the glue before my hairline, like not on my hairline but before so you can already see the top section where we first started. It'S already dry. So it's ready to be I'm ready to put my lace down but, as you can see, I'm still working on that section. So now, I'm just gon na apply the lace on to that section. You just pull the wig up and just put it down, don't press it down like you can see me pressing down with my fingers, you can use your fingers or the comb whatever just don't pull on press it down like the glue will sink through, and it's Just gon na be messy cuz. I'Ve done that before just take a little piece section by section of the wig and just place it down, and then just press it and rub along it with your hands with your little fingers. So that is what I'm doing, and this step is just you'll see me. Do the step plenty of times like literally I'm not gon na stay here and talk to you guys whole entire time, because that can get annoying see. This is repetitive, I'm placing the glue waiting for it to get clear and then I'm just gon na press it down and that's what I'm gon na be doing for the rest of this video literally so sometimes when you're gluing down your lace wig, there are some Little sections that just need a little bit of glue and that's what I'm doing I glued everything down now, I'm just taking some hair scissors and cutting off any extra lace that I don't need, because after a few installs, you don't need everything. So I'm just gon na take my red scarf and just tie down my hair in front of the lace, so everything can just melt through as you'll see, but I'm just gon na leave this on for five minutes guys and then everything will be nice and seamless. I'M just putting my hair up because it was in the way of the scarf well when I'm tying to scarf down. But as you can see, I'm just placing that on top of the lace. So it can melt through not too tight. But a little bit tight and I'm just gon na tie that scarf around and leave it on for five minutes and then we're ready for the next step like as I'm watching this. My facial expressions are killing me. What is this anyways? I'M just gon na take my eco styler gel the orange one and my little. What is this again? It'S like a little baby hair brush, I'm just gon na dip it in that eco styler gel and I'm just gon na do a little bit of baby hairs. This is not my forte guys. I tried I second baby hairs, I suck at plucking lace. I just do what works for me. This video is just what works for me and I hope that you guys are able to take tips from this video and incorporate it into your own tips and do a bum-ass wig lay that's just what I hope that you guys are able to take from this Video, but I'm just gon na, like you know, do my little baby hairs. The way that I can you know the way I can and then I'm gon na take the scarf again and tie it down. So the baby here is gon na be very cute and nice, hopefully, so, as my baby hairs are melting and being cute baby hairs, I hope I'm just brushing out the hair, and now I'm taking this scarf off. You want a little fast girl and I'm just gon na take my l'oreal oil. I got this from Walmart and this is not the oil that I wanted, but they had to do a replacement cuz. They didn't have the oil that I want, but this smells good too. So I'm gon na do about three pumps gon na rub it in my hands and apply this onto the hair, and this just assures that the hair has enough oil, because it's dry I'd literally just washed it and dried it. So I'm gon na do some quick curls, so I'm brushing up the hair and adding a little bit more oil. I add oils in the sections as well, but one thing that I do that I learned from Aaliyah J that has changed my wig lay. You know whole routine. Is this hot comb? You guys need this hot comb. The wigs can sometimes be bulky guys, but when you use the hot comb just to hot comb, the hair down, it really makes a difference like it makes it less bulky and it just penetrates everything that you guys have natural hair. So you know the struggle. Just imagine this to be your natural hair, so then brushing it out again and then I'm just gon na take my Conair curling iron and I'm just gon na curl it up and I'm just gon na repeat these steps over and over again. So I'm not gon na stay here and talk the whole entire time. You guys get the memo. This is literally all that I'm doing, but even those of you who don't have natural hair like perm. If so, basically, if you're using a wig, I recommend getting a hot comb because it will make it's a life-changer. You guys just get the hot comb, it's like 20 dollars at Walmart, stop by and Duncan every morning, but we get that hot comb. I'M telling you it will make a difference, so I'm just gon na go ahead and just speed this through for you guys, because it's just gon na keep going on and on all I'm doing is adding oil taking the hot comb hot combing it through brushing it And adding curls, that's it you you so I do want to know. As you get to the beginning, I use the hot comb a lot like. I make sure that part is super flat and I even use the curling iron to to press on against the top part, especially where your parting is, because you want that part to be super super super flat, like I'm, really stressing this guy's, because you don't want To be lumpy and bumpy, like literally, I have a wake up underneath and it's like a light brown. It'S not my natural skin color, but you want that to peek through a little, so I'm just taking my hot comb and I'm really really really trying to get that top part flat. That is how you make your wig super super super natural. Just getting that top part flat and that's what I always do like. I spend literally like 5 minutes getting this top part flat like no lie. I'Ve burned myself one time getting back to a park flat. I'M like this needs to be flat. Like literally, I will not stress this enough, get that part what so now I'm almost done. The last step I do is that I take one of my foundations. It doesn't matter Matt doing whatever and I'm just no take a small little amount and I'm gon na take one of my makeup brushes and I'm just gon na apply that on to the part like just to make it a little bit more natural. So it looks like my actual skin color. You see how much of a difference that made like seriously. I know you guys see this because I see it right now, as I'm looking and doing the voiceover. I see it, and that is literally my video. This is how I lay my wigs. A lot of people actually do. Ask me: hey Q into a video or whatever, so here's the video, because my routine has changed. I don't use the got to be glue gel anymore, because I do work out, and I just want to note that when I work out this install will last me a week a week and a half. But when I didn't used to work out, this insole would last me two weeks, two weeks and a half, so you guys work out. This glue is safe but I do add a scarf when I work out anyways, but that is my cute little install that I do. I do this about like once a week or you know whatever the curls do last me a while, so that is it. Thank you guys for watching. I hope that you guys enjoyed this video and learned some new tips and have a great day. Please don't forget to Like comment and subscribe to my channel bye, guys.
