Today'S the day, the sun is shining actually, no, it's not it's it's not because it's 4 am the sun is not shining yet, but come the end of this video. It will be today's the day the sun is shining, the birds are singing and i am about to dye my hair red, i'm going back to red guys. That'S it that's! That'S it! That'S the end of the hair coloring adventures i first bleached my hair in january 2020, when i was in japan and i dyed my hair pink first time in my life, i've had any other color other than my natural color of red and it's been two whole Years of every color i could possibly think of plenty of fun was had along the way and plenty of concern was expressed, but i am now ready to go back to the way that i was just with my shorter hair. So my mother has been the biggest advocate for me to return to my natural red hair uh, probably from the moment that i went pink, the second that she saw me with pink hair, she was like put it back. Put it back go back to the way you were and ever since then, for two years she's been asking me to tie my hair back to red, so mum, that's what i'm doing today and i'm going to be dyeing my hair red using shades of red hair Dye that my mum has picked out for me many months ago, my mum came to my house with a big shopping bag. Full of schwarzkopf live in the shade, aztec, copper and tangerine twist and mom said alex um. When you decide to dye your hair back to red, please use these and i said why and she said because i think that if you mix this and you mix this it'll be the color that your hair was before you bleached it, and she said. Please promise me promise me that you'll use these when you go to dye your hair red again now i i was going to use arctic fox or you know some other trendy brand, but i have caused my mom enough pain and suffering over the past two years. Watching me torment her and myself with everything that i've done to my hair, so i thought no! No! I may as well do do something nice for her and dye my hair, using the colors that she chose for me. So with that mum wants me to take this, schwarzkopf live aztec, copper and mix it in equal parts with schwarzkopf. Ultra brights live tangerine twist. Hopefully, two packets will be enough to cover my whole head and if you are confused as to why my hair looks the way that it does right now, i look like gilderoy lockhart with a bowl cut. It'S because i just used the product color oops, to remove the black blue from my hair and reset it back to this. So with that, let's mix these up interesting difference in the textures between two that is really kind of concerning all right. So aside from the fact that it looks absolutely delicious, it looks kind of thick and i'm considering maybe mixing in just a tiny little bit of conditioner just to let it go a little bit further. Is that a good idea too late? If you're leaving a comment saying no, it's a terrible idea because i've already done it um. This is a conditioner that i'm literally obsessed with this is the sol de janeiro hair. It'S so difficult to know the name of these products because they put a bajillion words. All over the packaging, but essentially it's like a hair treatment, and i love it. It'S done incredible things to my hair. I'Ve been trying olaplex for like over a month now, and this i feel like this is better than old plex. I know i know, please don't come for me, but i do love it and it smells absolutely incredible. I'M just i'm gon na take a little bit of it and i'm gon na just put it in there. Probably just like a spoon - maybe just a spoon of it and hopefully that'll thin this out just enough to help me spread it through my hair all right. So the instructions say that you have to apply the hair dye to towel dried hair. So i'm going to give it a quick, wash i'll use a little bit of clarifying shampoo just to make sure that there's no residual product of any sort on it now start dying slowly, all right! This is it it's happening. I can't believe it's actually happened. Okay, i'm ready, as you uh know, if you're a regular viewer of mine, there's no technique involved in anything that i do uh. So if you are new here and you're watching on in horror, because i'm not dividing my hair, it's just how we do things around here. Oh god, i look like pauline hansen. I don't like it now. We wait. I'M going to wait! 30 minutes all right. It'S time i haven't looked yet. I haven't peaked, let's see what's under here. Oh my god. It'S happening before the big reveal. Let'S take a moment to thank today's sponsor. Thank you so much skillshare for sponsoring and let's get on with the reveal hello. Oh look at your hair, you like it. Oh that looks gorgeous you like it. It looks beautiful, doesn't it and here it is so it is not quite close to my natural hair color. My natural hair color is not so orange. It was very, very orange when i was a kid and then, as i've grown older, it's it's sort of leaning. More towards a brownie kind of red, so obviously it's uh. It doesn't look natural at the moment, which means i'm going to need to tweak the formula or tweak the recipe a little bit. So if you guys have any recommendations about red hair dye products that you know of that could possibly give me something like this, which is what my hair looked like on my wedding day, which, as my husband says, is his favorite shade of my hair, my natural Hair color - and he has also informed me that, second, that his favorite shade is pink. So with that being said, there may or may not have been. Some lies told when i said that i was done with my hair dying adventures, because there is something so appealing about a pastel pink bob. But you know what we'll get to that when my hair grows to it, because i'm i'm far from a bob at the moment, it's uh, it's not a pixie cut, it's not a big c card. It'S i! I don't know what to call this length, but you know what i'll enjoy it while i have it so with that. Thank you guys so much for joining me on today's adventure. I'M happy enough with the color at the moment, but the you guys. You know me it's it's not going to stay this way for very long. So i suppose this is the commencement of trying to find the perfect shade of red to suit me. So you know what um prepare for lots: more hair dyeing videos as i uh try fire truck red and i try orange and i try auburn and i try strawberry blonde. Who knows the possibilities endless so like? I said, if there's any uh red hair dyes, that you would like me to experiment with, or perhaps, if there's 40 red hair dyes that you would like me to mix together and dye my hair with. Please leave them in the comment section down below now that my hair is finally ready again, i will begin the hair repair journey so i'll be trying out the joyco four-step, hair repair system, uh i'll, be trying out a whole bunch of other products too. On my journey to getting my hair back to the state that it was in, you know what probably when i was five years old because, let's be honest, my hair's been damaged for the majority of my life. But aside from that, i'm very much looking forward to getting my hair feeling nice and soft and luxurious, and i'm also looking forward to finding the right shade of red. That'S pretty close to my natural color and most certainly not bleaching it again and going pink. I'M definitely enjoying the length of my hair. It'S a lot of fun playing around with different hairstyles. I have had that many days where i have sleeked it all the way back and i've just had it. Looking really really super short. I'Ve had days where i've kind of like puffed it up on the top and i've left it quite short on the sides. I feel like there's a fine line between pleasure and pauline hanson when i've got hair like this. If you don't know who pauline hanson is - and you didn't quite understand that joke earlier in the video she's a politician in australia - that people aren't particularly fond of i'll just say that much but uh yeah. No, i'm i'm loving having my hair at this length, but that being said, i do also have a lot of wig content coming your way, which i'm very, very, very excited about, and that'll start rolling out soon. So if you are interested in seeing that don't forget to subscribe and turn on notifications, so you know when i upload those videos, if you have any hair styling tips for me um now that i have this length hair, i feel like there's a fair bit that I can probably play around with so, if you think of any styling ideas, please send me a photo on instagram or on twitter, i'm going to be in this little bit of an awkward stage for a while, as i wait for my hair to grow longer, i Very much look forward to having a bob, i'm that's that's what i'm most excited for. I want a bob and a fringe at the moment. My fringe is kind of i mean it. It is still there uh. Do you remember i wanted. I wanted curtain bangs um that didn't quite happen. What i, what i ended up with was a disaster, but yeah look the the fringe. The bangs are still they're still kind of there, but these days, instead of wearing it like that, i've i've been kind of like yeah pulling it up and back. I always like having a bit of volume to my hair, so i'm gon na probably have to start experimenting with hairspray and volume, and i also wanted to give the curly girl method a try. So if there's any of these hair styling things that you want to see me do just let me know in the comments down below, i feel like the predicament that i am left with now is. Do i want my hair to throw more red tones or more orange tones, i'm not really sure, because when i was younger, i had that really really orangey kind of hair uh and, as i got older, it sort of turned more red and then it turned kind Of more brownish, so i don't know which way that i want to lean and i feel like the only way that i'm going to be able to find out is through experimentation, so yeah may or may not have slightly lied. When i said no, this is the end of the hair dyeing adventures as if alex was going to dye her hair red once and then just be done with hair dying forever. If you fell for that, so yes, i i want to see myself with a little bit more of an orangey kind of tyrone, and i also want to see myself with pink again, but with that. Thank you guys so much for joining me on this adventure. Let me know what you think about the color in the comment section down below. If you like this color on me, let me know i may or may not keep it for several more days before i change it. So with that, thank you guys so much for watching and i'll see you next time mwah. How many hours did you sleep last night for love and the night before and then two and a half the night before, so what you're trying to say is you're really tired and you're delaying doing this outro because you're tired, you don't have the motivation, but you Really want to talk about the results, but you're so tired that you also want to go to bed. Well, it seems like the remedy is: go to bed. You'Ve done your makeup, really pretty! Thank you and done your eyes. My eyes are the makeup yeah, but so you could take the eyelashes. You do your eyebrows too, but then you're going to go to bed and then you have to read the word again yeah, which means you'll lose one time. Four four come here: you do the outro, you tell people, mistakes were made, but you're happy and you would use their product again because it's not bad, it looks really cool. Then then, the most important thing is that you can have some cuddles and tomorrow, if you're not filming anything because you're just moving stuff out of the garage yeah, you don't need to waste the time doing eye makeup because there's no point hurry up and film. So we can have cuddles happy for outro, but you know cuddles

Blanka Gasparovich: As anyone who had a mom like Alex, it's normal to go nuts and try EVERYTHING the moment you give yourself permission to try out colouring your hair. It's not a cry for help - it's experimentation. And it's fun, because hair grows. Glad you had fun with it Alex.

Marissa Peighton: As someone who has spent over a year trying to dye my hair a naturalish red/copper, I will say there aren’t many options in semipermanent color. Good Dye Young has a copper shade that is really lovely and surprisingly, so does Kiss (Cajun red I believe, much darker but could be diluted)

Eeve's Junkyard: Please don’t take this the wrong way, but I relate to the first 3.5 minutes of this on such a personal (but also very different) level. I’m going to preface this by saying absolutely no hate what so ever towards your mom, and love that you two can talk about these sorts of things. This just hits home on a personal, but angry level. This is in no way directed at your mom, just a bit of a rant that the beginning of the video brought up. As someone who has frequently bleached and/or dyed my hair for the last 12 years, hearing someone be pestered over their hair bothers me so much and makes me irrationally mad. My grandmother CONSTANTLY annoys me by giving back handed compliments or outright saying she would prefer me at my natural hair color. Her most used phrase is “oh, your hair looks nice like *insert color/ style here* but would look much better if it was your natural color”. One time I braided both mine and my sisters hair. For context, sister has very long hair and was her natural color at the time, mine was just passed my shoulders and blonde. Both natural dark brunettes. My grandmother actually gave me this backhanded compliment in front of my dad, “oh.. I like how you braided yours and your sisters hair.. hers turned out really nice and frames her face well. I’m sure yours will look better once it’s grown out.” My dad was shocked and I told him that kind of thing was normal from her so I usually just ignore it because I don’t feel like arguing. And to be completely honest, she is one of the main reasons I haven’t gone back to natural in literally years. I know it’s just a difference of generations so opinions on that sort of thing are going to be very different, but it’s my hair, my body, and my choice what I do to it. Being pestered about it constantly doesn’t make me want to change my hair back, makes me just angry. She was the same way with my dad when he was growing up, he was very 80’s punk so all the crazy colors as a teenager. It’s just frustrating when others think their opinion of your appearance should mean more than how you personally feel about it. Just let people have fun with their appearance and play around with it for a while.

Dia GDT: I just love the way that no matter what you’ve done with your hair your husband is so supportive and tells you how beautiful you are

Diedre Garrard: Alex, I absolutely adore your husband. The love and support he has for you is refreshing and beautiful. Can't wait to see what comes next in your hair adventures!

Daemoninwhite: As someone who goes for about 9-10 hours of sleep if not woken by alarms, I have no idea how you function on so little sleep Alex! The hair looks great on you, but every time you mention how much your mum pushes your hair colour, my heart goes out to you. The Pauline Hanson jokes made me cackle.

Lisa S: Alex, what you said about always having your hair please someone else hit me hard. I was born with hair the same shade as yours & as a pudgy kid, the only compliments I ever got were about my hair. I’ve lost all my hair 3 times due to chemo & that’s all anyone wanted to talk about ‘oh your poor hair’. Yesterday I spontaneously cut 4 inches off, down to chin length. It felt great. Looks mediocre. Don’t give a rat’s fuzzy.

KT Kaboom: You literally inspired me to go short with my hair cause it looked so cute on you! I walked into my salon and had them chop a good 2.5 feet of hair off my head last week. I'm loving it! Thank you for the inspiration, Alex <3

Britt: Mixing in a little bit of purple is a great way to get the more realistic, muted orange that comes naturally!

Lorraine Britton: Missed you Alex and Dan! Love your hair pushed back with volume on top. Can’t wait for the wigs. I have a short bob with an undercut, I have red on top, a layer of bright colour and undercut another colour. I have it dyed every 6 weeks and haven’t a clue what colours I will be as my hairdresser surprises me. Perhaps when hair is a bob and at the healthy stage you could have pastel pink underneath, keeps mum happy as red on top and you happy as you see the flash of colour. I’m 51 and my mum is 74, she hates my hair if I wear it up but my hubby couldn’t care less as long as I’m happy sorry such an essay much love from the uk x

Ember Newton: My husband is a redhead almost exactly the same color as your natural color and we finally found the perfect color match for him to cover his grey hair. I highly recommend Wella Color Charm in the shade Titan Red Blonde

Holly K: As someone who has been on the same journey but a few years ahead, here is my experience and thoughts... 1. Playing with semi permanent is the way to go, and I would caution against permanent, if you feel you must.. try demi permanent and 10v developer as it's not going to lift and be as damaging. Demi is deposit only, and keeping your volume of developer low means less amount of damage, specially when only trying to deposit hair colour. 2. Don't bleach it again when you get it to a bob, if you put in the work to grow it to a bob and it feels so soft the moment you bleach it, you will regret it even if you get it a pink, that is at least how I felt. You can def work on the damage and it does feel softer, but you'll never get that hard work back unless you cut it off.. 3. As a natural redhead who is very similar in tone as an adult, try mixing in a bit of yellow to your reds/orange concoctions. Our skin tones can weirdly handle it and compliments it. (very small amount don't go ham) 4. Anything Tangerine is going to be quite lovely, and just the smallest dash of a bright red and tiny amount of yellow might get you very close to your natural. 5. Let this colour wash out as much as possible and try a nice pastel pink over some of the lighter washed out colour you have now, you'll get a cute strawberry blonde if you get it to a blondish, or if you go too hard it can go coral which is a vibe too. 6. Lastly you do what you want, and these are all just from my road to recovery and growing my hair back out after years of fun (and damage).

Simone: I'm a natural redhead as well and when I was 15, I dyed it a bunch of colours. A year later I went back to my natural hair colour. It was a great experience and made me love my red hair so much more. Glad Alex had fun!

Hannah Booher: Dan appreciation post! That outro was sooooo sweet, he’s so supportive and kind. We all need a Dan in our lives!

Mary M: I've dyed my hair a few times but I've definitely been too scared to bleach it. So the colors aren't quite what I've wanted. However, I shaved my head in August bc I was never allowed to cut my hair either and I absolutely loved it. I'm letting it grow back out now, and it looks terrible, but I would shave my head again in a heartbeat

Megan Marshall: Your skin looks so healthy again. I know we get tired of our natural color but your skin needed red tones. You’re glowing!

Empress Freya: I can't wait to see how this turns out and I can't wait to see your hair grow over the year. Hope you guys are doing well in Australia ♡

Emily DiDanieli: Alex you look AMAZING with short hair! I would suggest if you want that natural shade of red to try ion (or any brand you can find that does a lot of natural hair colours) I dyed my hair ginger last year and I tried using semi permanent colours at first but I soon realized I needed a lot more brown tones to achieve the right colour and the best way to do that is to go for a brand that does natural colours and I would ideally use a demi permanent or a permanent colour with a VERY low developer (10 volumes max) to avoid damage since I know you're trying to grow your hair and maintain health. Hope this helps!

Char Rouse: I think the darker one of the two would have been better than the two mixed together! I have just got myself copper henna to try so if you want something natural might be cool to try.

Danika Thomas: I've had so much fun on this hair journey with you! So glad you got to try things you have always wanted to do!!!! Keep being you Alex! ♥️

lalacustard: Rachel maksy did a few videos showing her hair dying experiences, she's done ones with henna and ones with Arctic fox ("the copper formula")

Moon Henson: Love this. Your hair journey has been so fun to watch. Can’t wait to see what you do next. Wigs, fashion, decor etc.

Moka PT: Yey, for once I can be useful! When it comes to semi-permanent, Adore has the most natural copper tones and I always add a little bit of green or blue hairdye to neutralise the intensity. :) You can also go for the Shades EQ from Redken (the 07C Curry is a bit intense at first but fades to the most natural copper hairdye I've ever had and I think that you could mix it with the 08WG to achieve your natural colour). It's a demi-permanent so it won't lift your roots but it will last longer than semi-permanent, and it's also a gloss that has an acidic base so it adds a lot of shine! And finally, the best way to have a natural colour after bleaching the hell out of your hair is to pre-pigment it to give it back some depth, there a tone of good videos on the subject. Good luck!

Alexanderia Noble: Again so proud of you for doing whatever the heck you want with your hair ❤️ I’ve loved this journey for you

JenniG ThatOneCrazyDoglady: You look lovely! Red dyes fade very quickly, so you’ll get to enjoy a whole host of shades in the coming weeks!

Niki The Snake Lady: Watching your videos is truly like watching one of my friends. Your hair looks beautiful! It's so fun being part of this journey with you. I've been around since the beginning. Your content is my favorite on YouTube.

La Ptite Chèvre: Can we talk about how sweet that outro was! Alex and Dan have such a supportive and caring relationship❤

Zoe: I can't recommend natural reds but as for the repair journey as someone whose overprocessed my hair to the point it won't dry and is stretchy I've found the aphogee 2 minute reconstructor and their shampoos and leave in conditioners incredible! Really pulled my hair back from the brink of being shaved off!

Anonymous 1: YES. Perfect timing, Alex! Just in time for my anxiety-induced insomnia and 2am snack time!

Kammie 🦉: Yay, can’t wait! Edit: It looks lovely! I’d be glad to get my hair that colour but I think it’s too dark for it. I’ve dyed my hair red for at least a couple of decades now.

Katie Day: That colour really suits you, I know it's not your natural shade but it makes your eyes pop. Looking forward to wig content also

Amy xBlame: It looks so good! Your hair looks so healthy and bouncy again! I'm LOVING the short on you, it suits you so well. As a fellow short haired person with naturally curly hair, sometimes I style straight like you have, or I will use leave-in and mousse and scrunch it. Sometimes you can gel it and make it piece-y, or use a round brush to blow it out for that greaser look, with gelled down sides. Skies the limit ☺️

9melissal: Adore has a lot of red and gingery shades that look pretty natural and they're ridiculously cheap in the US at least.

Kelly B: And yet ANOTHER colour experiment that looks amazing!! Seriously, I'm yet to see one colour you haven't been able to pull off!! (Not that you haven't tried 99% of them! Lol) Nicely done

Ninarry: It looks soo good!! :D I have coloured my hair red/copper for 5 years now, with permanent colours. In my experience it fades to a more natual colour after some washes. Colours in the shade 7.40, or there about is really nice, I think ^^ I have tried the following dyes; L'ORÉAL PARIS Recital Feria 7.46 Very Intense Copper SCHWARZKOPF Brillance in a copper shade (can't remember the actual colour). GARNIER Olia 7.40 Intense Copper

Kaitlan McLean: Love the red despite the consistency of it coming out the tube lol I would recommend for a natural red 2 things. Lush red Henna as it’s more on the permanent side and also a company called The Shade as they have a nice array of natural colour selections and also you can also customise your colour if you want a natural closer two tone look. Both l tried ages ago and got nice compliments on it. Also l love your short hair now as it does really seem to suit you as well as your long hair. Looking forward to your upcoming wig content. Also a question would using or diluting the colour remover tone down it to a more less saturated red? Hair Science! Also I’ve heard good things bout Manic Panic and also using Artic fox which you said you have already mix some red/orange with a brown dye and test strand it maybe?

eka317: Personally, I'd go 2 parts Tangerine Twist, 1 part Aztec, and a half-serving of a light brown (warm undertones) of the same brand if you're going for natural color. I think that'll mix well...and I do color-correct work as part of my job

Sina Julia: Henna has always given my friends the results closest to my own natural ginger hair. Only do that if you plan to not dye your coloured ends since it tends to lead to terrible weird reactions with professional/chemical hair dyes

Juliette KLEIN: Alex I loooooooooooove that hair cut on you omfg you’re so beautiful ! To me every style suits you really I loved how you played with your hair so much fun ! Continue being yourself I love you so much ♥️

Katalina S: It's amazing you look great in every color you've tried. Confidence matters.

Sarah Littell: Your hair length....girl...this is the perfect length to try the classic 2000s emo, punk combo for a week....that let's be honest we were all fascinated with. Also btw hair styling: try out some Annette Benning vibes

Pennons Fall: I've always been nervous to try short hair so very much enjoying the journey. The color turned out quite pretty. I went blond and lavender once and it just fried it. But I miss it anyway . . .

KB: I loved the reveal! The cut still looks so mature to me. In the best, classy, feminine way. Love it, especially with those beautiful drop earrings.

something whateva: Missed your videos Alex, you look incredible with your hair pushed back and messy <3

Za Warudo: When my hair was shorter, I also liked having more volume as well. What I did was wearing a pair of glasses everyday pulling my hair behind. They kept on growing and it became some sort of signature look. My friends were even surprised when they saw me without them. Now, I have a mullet-ish hairstyle and still wear my glasses. All that to say that maybe you can try fun hair accesories to avoid that awkward lenght

Far From Flawless: Definitely would recommend the brand Overtone in shade Ginger!! It’s a color conditioner so it’s great for your hair! ♥️♥️ but I love this color you have now!

Tania: If/when you're hoping to go back to your natural shade, look for "auburn" - one of the various auburn shades should be close to your natural hair colour. :) I think your hair journey has been good. I went from dark blonde to red through most of my early 20s, and went from dark blonde to rose gold in my mid-30s (in a professional firm, too - no one cares), so I think everyone should take a hair journey if they want to without worrying about what anyone else thinks. It's your hair, it grows back, go crazy.

Hannah Jade: I highly recommend mixing Lunar Tides “fire opal” & Manic Panic “Cattails” It would give you the temporary ability to play till you get your natural shade.

forever-youngjae: omg alex I started dying my hair because of you and I too lean towards pink and I actually really loved strawberry blonde! it's currently electric paradise from artic fox and when it's faded, it's such a lovely peachy color. seeing you so happy to try different colors and cuts really inspired me and I've been bleaching and recoloring my hair every week or two for the past 1-2 months and I've been having a blast

KAT TheVampire: Ales, I Love the color and length! The style I liked the most was at about 10:50 where the sides are closer in and the top and bangs are fluffy, curling off your face with a bit of lift. Red shades fade faster than even pink so it won’t be too long before the brightness tones down. I’m excited to see the wig hauls and try ins! Also I love you and Dan’s relationship. You remind me of me and my Hubs’s one. May you two be the same way after 27 years + like we are.

Century Countess: Firstly, love the color! Secondly, I know An old remedy to achieve lighter shade of red closer to what you want. Take some pure squeezed lemon juice and run it through the hair. And for about 30 or 15 minutes have hair be in direct sunlight. This is a process so may take a couple of days to see results.

AnotherOpinion1997: Hey Alex, love the bright copper! You could try out Schwarzkopf Igora vibrance in the shade 7-77. Mix it with 1,9% (6vol) developer. It's a demi permanent colour, so it won't lift your natural colour, that way it can grow out without being altered, Demi's tend to fade over time but not nearly as fast as Semi permanents do.

Bailey Hicks: this is what I did when I wanted red hair: bleach bath to make it lighter (started off as a natural dark blonde) and then used the garnier nutrisse conditioner in the vibrant copper colour and it turned out really similar to your hair colour on your wedding! honestly it’s my favourite hair colour i’ve had so far!

Olyvia Spell: I dyed my hair copper once and liked using the Keracolor Clenditioner in copper, it's a cute color. They also have a mocha you could maybe mix in a little to make it more brown less orange (?)

D0vahkitty: I love it so much Alex, Ive never seen a person suit that colour more than you do! I don't know if its because its close to your natural colouring but girl yasss. i actually love how vibrant it is <3 <3 <3

Hillary Leach: I know you're excited to grow your hair out but I have to say: I LOVE this length on you. So versatile and SO chic!

Yokominton: I love this style and colour on you!! And OMG, how supportive is your husband???!!! I LOVED the end of this video. !! Xx

Erikka G: YAY! glad to see you back! Currently I've been rocking an ariel red hair look, and been absolutely loving it! mom says all the time that i should go back to natural (blonde), but its so boring! I dyed my hair auburn, black, magenta, blonde, brown ombre, and I just love the way my hair looks currently. That said, I love this color on you, it's so vibrant <3

kaitoise: I always wanted to go as natural auburn as possible and the only dyes that have done it for me are the ADORE dyes. They’re vegan (so they smell a bit weird) but they’re so so good. I think something like spiced amber/cinnamon would be good for getting close to your natural hair! They do a bunch of orange shades. It always looks like a shade that could be growing naturally out of my head I love them.

Merlin's Mama: I love how your hair turned out Alex! You're one of those lucky people who look gorgeous with any colour though, I especially love pink shades on you but you look beautiful whatever colour you go for!

Jules Victoria: I've also had a great time bleaching my hair and having fun during the panorama... It's been great! But, my hair is also fried so I'm doing the same thing you are now! I recommend a red dyeing conditioner to keep it red after because the overly bleached hair will lose the red pigment so fast hahaha

nyclady27: I'm stoked! I'm a ginger and probably twice your age but I'm so happy to hear your hair darkened, too! I used to use an orange crayon when I colored in a book and I always hated it but promised my mom I'd never dye it. I can't wait for this journey. Now that I've aged and I've got reddish brown hair I really miss my younger color. If you hit on it, I'm breaking my decades old promise to my mom. So anxious! Good luck! ☮‍

Susie F: This color looks sooo good on you Alex! It is Please don’t change it for little bit, lol. Maybe try letting the color fade and then refreshing it with another shade of reddish-orange? But a nice pastel pink would look exquisite.

Tara E. Hill: I think the color is gorgeous and that length looks beautiful on you! Love it the best how you had it touseled at timestamp 13:20!!! But we're here for you whatever you want to do and please take care of yourself!!!!!!!

Erin Brewer: The color is fun! When i was dying my hair red I used henna and it had a really nice brown undertone to it. You just need to be REALLY careful about mixing henna with any other hair dyes. Also, when you pushed your hair back, especially on the sides i was getting real big Carrie-Anne Moss vibes

Shailyn Rawding: Go with copper gold shades, maybe with a splash of brown! That’s gonna give you the most natural red head look and be as close to your natural as possible. Signed, a licensed hairstylist

Catherine Shields: I really love the red on you, it really suits you even though it’s not your natural colour. Plus the condition and shine in your hair at the moment is AMAZING!! You’ve done a great job restoring the condition of what you had left after cutting off the length, which I have to say looks stunning on you. your content, from a fellow Aussie PS- Be guided by hubby when it comes to your work life balance, he knows where it’s at and the things that need to be treasured in life ✌☀️

Jennifer Cartwright: Hi Alex, I remember when I started my hair dying journey I dyed my hair with L’Oréal casting creme gloss in the colour 645 amber and it looks like how your hair was in the photo of your wedding, by the way your hair looks amazing

Just Emmalyn: Oh my goodness I LOVE how it turned out! It's bold and classy all at once. Stunning <3

Yumari Nightray: I recently dyed my hair back to its natural color with henna and indigo. There are multiple different types of henna that give really pretty red/orange shades that range from bright to very natural and earthy. Henna does fade a little but it is permanent.

DaeYunChanster: Adore hair dye is worth looking into, it has so many different shades of red, copper, brown, Auburn you can look into to find your natural colour :)

Autumn Marie: My closest match to my natural coppery/strawberry blonde color os the L’Oreal Paris Féria multifaceted shimmering permanent color C74 Copper Crave. It goes on a bit more orange but after two washes it fades to a strawberry blonde, copper color

fight for power: I'm happy enough with this colour! "Oh great, she's done, it's been fun" *video is only half over* Oh no, oh no, oh nonononono Disclaimer!! This is a joke, alex can do whatever she wants and I'm just happy with content

Cassandra Jackson: I love that you take hair color experimentation and journey all in stride and roll with the dice as they fall. I can’t wIt for the wig content. I’ve always wanted to try a great quality wig but overwhelmed by all the terms and differences in types and glue and lace, headband. Btw Alex honey this is by far the best color and cut you’ve had in my opinion. I think it looks fantastic.

Thomas Th: I've also experimented a LOT since 2020 and I've finally settled on a color. It's all fried and short now though lol. I like how you see it as a fun journey, that's what I'm doing! After all it's just hair.

RandomAccessMemories: I’m literally in the same boat Alex! I bleached my red hair for the first time at the start of quarantine and i enjoyed my blonde hair for a while but have been trying to dye it back as close to my natural as i can and haven’t been successful (even at the salon, they don’t know what “natural” red hair is) I haven’t tried it yet, but my next venture is to try a light caramel brown and a light auburn color. I definitely think you need to mix a light brown with a copper or auburn color with your next mixture!

Jaime McCoy: no cap. theyre marriage goals and im so happy they share some of those sweet moments with us. <3 hair looks amazingly healthy btw keep up whatever youre doing!

PaigetheMoonChild: I used the schwartzkopf due in chocolate copper and I feel like it's a beautiful copper shade. Not quite as light as you may want but I feel like it's a decent natural shade. I'm very happy with it and it's faded so nicely/ very minimally

katydid0403: I LOVE that cut on you Alex!! It’s so fun just like your personality and you can style it so many ways depending on your mood. As for the red, I would think you would look amazing going into darker red tones such as a deep burgundy or Auburn. I think it will make your eyes really pop!! Plus the burgundy may satisfy some of that urge you have to go pink again since it’s in the same color family, just darker.

Naomi Gummiwitch: Add the tiniest bit of purple to your semi hair dye. This takes warmth out so it will tone it down. Arctic fox has a copper recipe for it!

Sofia Sourgkouni: Yes! Welcome back! You look great as a red head! If you still want to experiment with red dyes and other products, try Goldwell . I use the colour revive conditioner for cool red tones, it renews the colour of my hair and it keeps it healthy. There is also one for warm red tones.

neenie: This hairstyle looks soo incredibly good on her

Charbie King: From what I've seen of other youtubers going to a natural red, Henna seems to be the best option. A lot of work, but the results are lovely

J Thompson: Love the short hair on you. What ever color you choose, I think this cut is super flattering. Your hair looks healthy and shiny.

LittleDormouse: Loreal casting cream gloss in 7403 or other color this number!!! 7-base-darker blond, 4copper shade,3 golden shine. It will be much closer to your own shade and look more natural. I used to use it myself.

Simren 72: I remember Alex said in an earlier hair video that she naturally has ringlets (I think that's the right word ) I LOVE curly hair and hope we get to see it sometime

Anna Loye: That style is so versatile on you. You look gorgeous in that shade!

Naomi Barger: I love it just the way it turned out!! It’s amazing on you, you rock it!!!

TheShyannejo2004: Just a note: please NEVER mix any hair dye with metal utensils. Also, wouldn’t have mixed it with conditioner but excited to see how this turns out!

Pika Levy: I love the end color and I’m OBSESSED with your styling you had at the reveal Very 20s hair glam and Hollywood class!

Caroline: Olaplex won't necessarily make your hair look better , what it actually does is helping it rebuild from the inside. That's why you might not notice a huge difference but it is making a difference in the hair bonds that were broken from bleaching/dying.

Salla Hietanen: Looks great! I would like to see hair accessories tryouts, or braiding, or both at the same time - lots of videos are with long or longish hair, but I think you'd look super cute with ribboned pins and some such!

Willow Fox: Ive actually been letting my hair return back to natural as well. (chestnut auburn) I wish you luck, I used to use John Frieda foams (there was a lot of options). I also wanted to mention I have used epsom salt mixed with shampoo before (I have fibromyalgia in my scalp and it helps soothe it) but it stripped out color. If your ever feeling adventurous. <3

GatorGeckzTheAquarius: You have now Been on a journey where you learned to love being able to choose your hair color yourself and i have love seeing this cuz there are far too many people who is just oh no “but what if” when ever they have talked about coloring their people around Them always scare Them away from it with, “ it would Never look the same” no it wouldnt fit you” no your own hair color is Best for you” and such im just so sad when that happens why cant people just love others no matter their hair color and no, women arent unstable because they cut or color their hair . But i must say that color Does suit you, the others i love on you specially the pink one, but if you want to change it again do it dont hold back because people around May get sad or something

Agatha Harkness: Adore has the best natural red/ginger and brown shades imo. Their Ginger or Cinnamon or a mixture of those (maybe also a little Honey Brown) would look really good and natural I think. Also the formula is bomb, it is very liquidy so you don't need much and they make the hair super shiny and soft.

shiny x: The only permanent red I can get to stay in my hair is henna. Works great! It comes out this kind of bright orangey-red, but it mellows to a more natural color after a few days.

Shannon Rose: Okay. First of all. This short hair on you is perfection. Second, I hope you're going back to red for yourself and not your momma. That being said, for the sake of the health of your hair we will have to slap the dye out of your hands if you try again in the next two to three months <3

Sara Cucksee: I really liked the overtone copper or ginger (whichever they called it) when I tried it over bleached hair. Smells very herbal, a pretty strong rosemary scent with mint, but I liked the color it gave. Definitely use gloves though if you try it! (Also US here so no clue about Australian availability

Matilde Salvador: Brazilian products are ALWAYS amazing!!! I love how you say “sol de janeiro” xdxd love you!!!

Emelie Särnhult: Everything is better with cuddles! Love the colour, but trust me when I say I understand you! I have bronze coloured hair naturally, but started bleaching and trying different colours! I´ve been trying to let my hair rest for 2 years only putting in peach and back to bronze...but miss the pink so so much that it´s very much likely that the bleach is coming back! Once you start, it´s hard to stop <3
