How I Do My Braiding Pattern & Closure Wig Customization| Ishow Hair #Closurewig #Ishowhair #Wig

Hey Natty Gang!

So as promised, I am going to show you how I did my braiding pattern for this wig install and also how I briefly customize the closure of the wig to look more natural.

This hair from iShow hair is so lustrous and bouncy, even after I bleached the knots and washed it twice!

If you want more wig videos comment below and I will start a wig series for the fall/winter season. This video doesn't go too in-depth because I'm not as proficient as I want to be with customizing my wigs yet, but I will get better and bring you guys more tutorials as I learn!

Hey guys, so i am back with another video no intro today, because i just want to jump right into it. I am going to show you guys how i did my braid pattern for my wig video that i posted um a couple of weeks ago, and then i'm also going to be showing you how i customize the front part of the hairline of the wig later on. In the video, so if you are interested in that then continue to watch and then also go ahead and check out my last video where i installed this, and i also do a get ready with me in a chit chat just about some unpopular opinions in the Natural hair community so be sure to go ahead and check that out after you're done watching this video, but we're gon na hop right into it. So first i am taking down all of the twists that i did the previous night. This was on freshly rinsed hair. I um washed out any gel any product that i had from my previous hairstyle and i just put my hair into these twists, so that it'd be easy for me to take them down detangle my hair and get straight into the braiding process. I did about three sections on each side and i wanted them big just because i did all of the detangling yesterday and i just wanted to you - know quickly, take these down and just go ahead and jump right into the braids okay guys. So here i'm starting off with the middle part, really simple: i'm trying to get it as straight as possible, because i'm not really good at doing straight parts when it comes to braiding, but i am trying to do it as straight as possible. So here i'm starting off in the front and, as you can see, that's as straight as i could get it and i'm gon na just go ahead and finish parting, all the way down the back of my hair as well just to get that kind of starting Point for the braids and then after i do this, i'm gon na move over into the next section of hair, and that is how i'm going to start the part for my first braid and in this particular video, i'm going to be using my jane carter solutions. Hair butter, i'm also going to be going in with the alley k, naturals hair parfait, as you can see, it's almost done, and then i'm also going to be using my hicks edges to lay down my edges towards the end and as you see, i am literally Just plaiting my hair down, i took the three strands and i started and every time i braid i pick up hair and i keep on going towards the back. That'S literally all there is to it. I learned how to braid my hair by watching youtube videos and also when i was younger, i used to practice on my dolls. So there's nothing really special about this or the way that i'm braiding and here you'll see the finished braid. The first braid looks so good. I was super proud of myself and i just kept doing that all the way down the rest of my hair. Until all of my hair was completely braided and then towards the end, you will see me do a bun in the back, but that's only just to keep the loose ends of my braids together. Um and here you'll see that my edges are being left out of the braid and that's because i'm trying to give them a little bit more tlc and attention. I tried not to put my hair into the braids too much, because i wanted to make sure that my edges at the front were not going to be breaking off or receiving a lot of tension or stress, because i was going to be putting on and taking Off my wig consistently, so i wanted to make sure i left them out so that i could oil them every night and also massage them and just take a little bit better care of them because i'm trying to actually grow them back. And lastly, i'm going to be using the lotta body mousse that i usually use for, like my um set styles, and this is just to lay all the flyaways down any hairs that i might have missed and i'm gon na put my scarf on and leave it On for 10 minutes, but i came back with some lip gloss because your girl was tired of looking busted and boom. Look at the finished product y'all. I was so proud of myself when i finished this, like i had the bun in the back, the braids were as straight as they could be. For me like. I was super proud that i was able to do these braids. The way that i did them because your girl has struggled with braids in the past, but after i did this, i literally just went straight into doing my wig. So that is what you're about to see me start now. So the bundles that i used for this wig that i made were by eye show hair. This is the brazilian body wave human hair, 3 pack, bundles with a 4x4 lace closure, and it is in the length 12, 14, 16 and the closure was a 12. I believe - and here you'll just see me showing you guys the front of the wig. I put two push pins right where the closure was because i wanted to make sure that the wig was secure on the wig head and now i'm about to go in and pluck the hairs. Now i have my water bottle because it is so much easier to pluck hair when it is wet that prevents the lace from being torn, and it also just allows you to be able to get the hairs more easily. So that is what i am doing here with my tweezers. I am actually going to part off the front of the hairline first, because i don't want to pluck where the front of the hairline is. I want to pluck behind the hairline and literally that is the smallest amount of hair that i lost just by plucking, one section, but the hair does add up. So you want to make sure that you are only doing a few plucks in one area. At a time, and then you want to make sure you're picking up and moving on to the next part of the hairline, and here i am just showing you the difference. So, on the one side that i did pluck, you can see the difference in how transparent the laces um compared to the one. That'S on the side that does not have any plucking. Now i'm gon na continue to do the plucking on the one side and again, i'm gon na continue to part the hair behind the hairline and pluck about six to eight times. I believe, and then i'm gon na pick up the tweezers and i'm gon na move over to the next section of hair that i want to pluck at a time and then i'm also making sure that i am combing out the hair that is being plucked so That i am made aware of how much i am plucking at a time so now i'm going in and i'm doing the beveling part. I am going to curl the hair by putting my bevelers on 450 heat, i believe, and then i'm going in, i'm twirling the hair around the bevelers two or three times. I am pulling the beveler towards myself and then i am releasing it to give me these. Nice bouncy curls and then i go in and i secure it with a bobby pin. So i just continue to do that throughout the entire head. Again, there's nothing really special about it. You just have to get into the groove of it and figure out how you want your curls to go. I wanted my curls to be away from my face, so i tried to curl away from the front of the wig head and the front of the hairline. Just to give my hair a natural bouncy look, but also to just make sure that the hair molds in the way that i want it to when i take the curls down the next morning, all right guys. So this is the finished look. I am so impressed with the way that i made the wig customize it and curled it. This was definitely a win for me. I was absolutely blown away by how beautiful the curls came out the next day, but in this clip i'm just spraying a little bit of got to be hairspray onto the wig just to set the curls in place a little bit. I didn't do too much because i didn't want it to be stiff in the morning when i took the curls down. I just wanted to have a little bit of hold so that the curls do not lose their form before i get to take them down. The next day, so if you are interested in seeing me fully put on the wig and customize it and all that stuff, the next day, like you see in this clip, go to my previous video and you will get to see how the wig actually looks a Little bit better, i was just in love with this wig and i absolutely love the results.
