Paisley Learns To Braid On Our New Cute Girls Hairstyles Styling Heads!

Paisley and I are SUPER EXCITED to show you how she learned HOW TO BRAID over the past several months! We just launched our own Cute Girls Hairstyles Styling Head Line, and Paisley helped me do it! And she's become quite the little braider, see for yourself!

Shaun and I started working on this project about 7 years ago, but we ran into several risky and expensive roadblock trying to source them ourselves. A little over a year ago, I was approached by Jakks Pacific (a top-tier toy company) who wanted to create a similar line as part of a licensing deal! We JUMPED at the chance and this adorable styling head line is the result.
When Brooklyn and Bailey were little, I bought two mannequin head with life-like hair to practice stying hair on because I didn't want to force them to sit through my braid creation sessions. I would often find my girls with both of those heads, imitating me as they styled their hair with brushes, combs, elastics and hair clips. Those mannequin heads got so much use, that my girls literally destroyed them. And those mannequin heads are EXPENSIVE and kinda creepy looking! I wanted to provide something for young girls that would be cute and adorable, with manageable hair, that would be easy enough to learn to style and braid on.
For most of Paisley's young life, I have struggled to find dolls and other toys that look like her in stores. It felt wrong to me that there wasn't a more broad assortment available, because I feel that much of what children learn about diversity is what they are taught and see within the walls of our own home. How much better off would our kids be if we diversified the toys they play with, the books they read, etc, from a young age?
Paisley, Rylan, Kamri, Brooklyn, and Bailey all helped me refine the look of these toy styling heads, as well as the hair texture and colors. It was important for us to show diversity in the toy line, to represent the world we live in. Paisley certainly was a major inspiration for me, as well as my best product tester! She's helped me test every prototype, from beginning to end, AND ITS EASY TO SEE WHICH STYLING HEAD AND ACCESSORY IS HER FAV!❤️
Walmart jumped at the chance to carry the entire line, and LOVED the diversity that it brought to their toy aisle. Target is also carrying most of our line, as will Sam's Club and Amazon in the near future.

Hey everyone, i'm mindy from cute girls, hairstyles and i'm paisley. Yes, she is, and today might be one of our favorite videos ever because we are introducing the cuco's his nice toy line, yay the toys also because we just get to play with toys. Yes, i know you guys are gon na ask a million questions. So let me just start off by telling you where you can find the toys you can find them at target and walmart right now in store and online, and you can find them coming in the next month. So amazon and sam's club as well so super exciting yep paisley's like mom stop talking, so i can start playing with the toys. Okay. So, let's start showing you guys what the toy line looks like the first one i'm going to introduce you to is the styling heads we have both of them here. These are so cute. I affectionately call this one, the paisley doll. They don't really have names, but this is the paisley doll, so the inspo behind these were when i was working and styling hair all the time using mannequin heads, the girls would get my mannequin heads out and start playing with them and then they would learn how To do styles on the mannequin heads as well, we would steal them from. We would steal them, but the fun part was that they were learning right. They were learning all these expert techniques working with the styling heads, and i thought this would be such a great toy, but mannequin heads are crazy, expensive because it's all real hair, so we needed to make like the toy version, and i hadn't seen anybody do that. Thus, the line, so what we did was, i spent so much time making sure that these heads were rooted in a way that was really well done. The hair is made out of nylon, which makes it like super super silky easy to play with and all of that kind of fun stuff. So let's show you what they can do they also come just so you know each of the styling heads comes like this. It'S like a little neck, so cute, you can see i've already done a hairstyle on her yeah. These ones come together where, like you, don't have to put together the heads and body just the neck and the head right, yeah and there's a little x on the bottom that you can just slide down on the clamp that comes with each of the styling heads. As well so that you can clamp onto tables and then style like you, would a mannequin head in a salon, so they also come with combs. They come with some bobby pins, some of their elastic clip some little clips. So all of the little things that you need to kind of get started start by brushing the hair from the ends up to the top right, like you always do. On my own hair too. In case i have some tangles and then you can play with the hair. The hair can be washed um with mild shampoo, but please don't throw it in the washer and dryer. I don't know why you would, but just don't um the hair is nylon, so you can't use hot tools on it or it will melt so don't try that it's mostly just for styling hair and each. I forgot to mention this too. Each styling head comes with a little booklet. The booklet has in it links to hairstyles. You can do directions on hairstyles, you can do and tips and care instructions. Paisley, really we really wanted a styling head to represent more of paisley's type of hair. We also have obviously more straight hair when i play with it. It feels like real hair. You think so. I tried really hard to make sure that we found really great hair, like i mixed, multiple prototypes until we found the perfect hair for you guys. Okay, what's the okay step, so that is the styling heads. Let me move on to the next one: okay, guys. The next one is the styling wig and display. So we wanted something that was a little different. So if you look like this, is the styling head? You can see the size difference here. These are much bigger. This is a little smaller, a little better for smaller hands. So this is what the styling display looks like without the wig. You can see that we have these clips built on. We took forever figuring out how to do these so that it would work the way we wanted it to and then inside the wigs. You have these little loops, so those little loops just slide over those hooks and then the wig stays in place. The fun part about this is that the kids can style the hair. While it's on the styling head displays right and then they can put it on their own hair. So then they get to wear it around there or you can wear it if you want. So obviously it comes in two colors. This is the pink version. This one is the teal black and purple. Haven'T you guys noticed her? Hair is a little curly. I painted it a long time ago and then mom invaded it. So it's now now it has cute little braid, crimps, right, yeah and her hair is kind of wavy. This hair's a little straighter and we also have three other color wigs. We have a pink a purple and a blue that you can buy to interchange with both of these too. So you can see we have the pink wig, the purple wig and the blue that you can interchange on either of these as well. Okay, guys, so you know what the styling heads look like, and the wig displays and everything else in the line is just kind of like accessories for those things. So paige is using one of them right now show them what you've got. I have the glitter brush. Ask her what her favorite thing in the entire line is the glitter brush the glitter brush, show them what it does. It has like cool glitter in it show them the glitter first, oh, that's the glitter yeah. That'S just decoration! Okay, now show them. What'S inside the brush, this is probably why she likes it, because it has glitter and a sponge and gel and hair gel. You can put it in the hair and it's going to glitterize the hair, and then you can just again use shampoo to wash it out when you're ready for it to be gone. Yes, you can put it in your own hair too. Yes, it's supposed to look like it, so yeah yeah, look it see sparkles in her hair, don't touch it. It needs to dry, it's so pretty. It has to dry first before you can really touch it. So that's the glitter brush. This is what it looks like. Okay and i'm going to show you guys the fishtail, so this includes one fish: it's like one fishtail braider. So it's a little foamy piece that looks like this. That helps you create fishtails, and then it comes with a cute mermaid clip elastics, bobby pins and the little booklet again - and this is what i did to her hair. I used the fishtail braider to create the fishtail, and then i put the little mermaid clip on there, get it fishtail and mermaid clip so her hair is all pretty you get it yeah. Okay. What else do you want to show them cat ears? Yes, okay! This is the cat ear kit. So there's this one comes with cat ears, a corner, flip tool, elastics bobby pins and a booklet. You just have these little cat ear clips you can play with. Should i go over the page? I would do it right here like almost right behind the elastic okay like right, there yeah and just clip it on to the base yep. So i did one set: let's see what i'm doing there, you go there with that! That'S okay, and now this one just turn it a little bit and we used the same corner flip tool earlier when she did the little flip unders. Yes, now turn it see, yep yeah! Does that look good? That looks good and, of course, you can put these in your own hair. The little mermaid tail all can go in your own hair as well, and then the last one is the unicorn kit, one which actually sometimes - and it looks like this out of the package. So you can put the unicorn on the front of the forehead and put the little foam roller on the back and then roll the hair up around the foam, and it makes a really cool. Looking fancy updo, which one's your favorites like. If you had to rank a mermaid cat ears unicorn, are they all your favorites? Can you pick one um we're back to the glitter brush? Okay, but besides the glitter brush cat ears, do you like cat ears? I think i like mermaid. That'S not all guys. No! It'S not, this is the jewel kit and it comes with the little jeweler this little machine and all of these fun beads. So you have these little diamonds, hearts pearls and one quarter is one jewel: installer, nine hearts, nine studs, nine pearls and one tip good job. Thank you paisley and you use the jeweler to just clip onto braids. It works especially well in braids, you clip it on and it just like claps clasps, the little studs and the little pearls in your hair. Yes and now i'm going to talk about the let's see crochet hair kit, okay, this one was inspired by who me it was okay. What it includes is four braided extensions. You can see the four here, one crochet hook, which is this right here: yep, probably if you're younger, probably have to ask for help one corner flip tool which is uh the same thing. Yes, it is but a different color, good job 20 pony beads, which is, i think, about um they're right. There, yeah beads, okay, tick-tock, beads, tick-tock, braids, huh, four hair twists, four herrings, two pearl charms, two, shell, charms, eight elastic bands and one tip. Yes. So, if you're not completely familiar with natural hair, what this is for is that you do like a braid on the head. Paisley actually has crochet braids in her hair right now. So if you look, her hair is actually braided underneath these, like into little tiny, tight, braids cornrows on her head, and then you use this crochet hook to actually like hook the hair on. So these little hair extensions. What you basically do is take it and take pull the crochet hook through the hair yep. So it's kind of like this, where you take it and pull it through, but it's a little different yeah, it's more like a little crochet hook, but you just crochet the braids into other braids and then you can add all of the jewels. So all of these little lock jewels huh that you normally wear in your hair. You can add these or these beads. Yes, i silver gold like uh, which one's your favorite of all the beads, copper, gold, copper, gold and again you can use these on your own hair too. You don't have to just use it on the styling head. I found this back part yeah. She has them in her hair if you had to tell them one thing to buy what would it be besides the glitter brush, we know you love the glitter brush, which doll is your favorite, a glitter brush? I would have to choose either this one, this one or that one okay, well, there's three options: okay and i love the crochet kit same here. Oh and i love the glitter i love paisley paisley is one of my favorites and a glitter cute face. We worked so hard to make these faces cute like this. That'S not cute scary. I just gave you money so obviously, paisley's hair does different things than my hair. We wanted that to reflect in the line, because not all families look the same. You guys - and you know it's amazing and beautiful - to show all the types of hair and all the way families look. For instance, you you were pretend you were a panda and you adopted and you took care of um a tiger that'd be different. That would be different, so yeah, it's a great way to diversify your toy lines. If you guys haven't already to show your kids that all people are beautiful and amazing and every man matters, that's right. Good job pays if you're interested in buying them. Abby Miner: As soon as I saw the commercial for these on a B&B video I knew we needed one. I have 4 daughters and the oldest 2 are 7&8. So I ordered one from walmart and I must say this is the best styling head I have ever seen. I have tried many but hated them. This one stays put and when my girls do their best to knot the hair it is so forgiving and easy to untangle. They are learning how to braid and do a neat ponytail but they now have somewhere to practice and I'm so grateful that it is no longer my head. Thank you for coming out with this line of toys.
