Beginner Friendly Wig! / Slay Yo’ Self! / Hair By Shaunda / April Lace Wigs

I have another april lace wig for you, aprilx wig sent me this and they told me that they were going to color it. I haven't even looked at it yet right. So i'm doing my unboxing with you guys, look at that color. So this is number four and 27 loose wave medium so because they alter this wig, i'm assuming they did everything for me um. Let me just pop that off, like that. I am going to because i am the type of person who likes to just snatch my waves off. I don't really like to have them glued down for days. Um that i just i get hot. I got ta take this wig off so anywho. Oh, this is pretty, they did an awesome job and okay, okay april, so you know what i don't even think. I really need to bleach the knots too much, probably all i would really need to do. Well, maybe a little bit. I doubt it, though, i'm just going to put some makeup on and see how we can roll with that um just a little bit and then i'm going to apply it. This is a uh. What is this now i got so excited about the wig. I forgot to show you what else was in the kit um an instructional booklet on how to maintain it. He also gave me a nylon cap, the girl, on the front of his cap y'all. She looking like what are you doing to my hair like what? What are you getting ready to do? Okay, so um april? Let'S discuss this cap, though um i know you watch my videos, and i know you can kind of you know see that this cap really doesn't match my skin complexion. Oh also, it's 13 by 6 inches. So let me take off my target round wig and we can get started putting it on. So, as i mentioned before, i'm not going to bleach the knots, i'm just going to add makeup. So this is the makeup that i use. I get it from cvs uh. If you're, who are my skin complexion or so i use 355, that works great for me, so i'm just going to put about three coats of this makeup on not super heavy, but you know enough to hide those knots a little and the knots aren't that big, Because they're single drawn so just to hide the knots and then i was going to go in and pluck it, but i just want to show you guys how i have to plug nothing like april serve this wig with the pluggage already within the wig like for What i'm i'm like, i'm excited like if you ever buy this wig, which i strongly suggest that you do you don't have to do anything like they colored it. They plucked it and i'm just going in and checking to see if i need to pluck anywhere else, but i don't like my wigs to be over plucked because i don't like it looking like i'm bald on the edges, i mean, if i'm going to wear a Wig i want it to look flushed right or plush. I'M sorry, not flushed. I wanted to look plush, so i went ahead and i found an old cap of mine that is closer to my skin complexion, because the one y'all sent me april lace. Wigs was too dark for me, um, so yeah, i'm gon na seal this cap down and get to work. Now, i'm going to tell you. I'Ve never used the technique of pulling the stocking cap all the way down to my chin and cutting out the you know, make an old jack-o-lantern out of it, cutting the nose, the ears and the eyes and the mouth. I'Ve never done that and if you have i'm not knocking it, all i'm saying is: what are the benefits if you can leave in the comments below, because someone else might want to know - and i want to know for myself too - i've never done it and what Are the benefits for of doing that, as opposed to doing it regularly? They have tons of shirts um with all kind of funny slogans and sayings on them. Now that i'm all bald it out with the ball cap, i am about to apply the wig. So what i was just showing you was the hooks right there to adjust the wig uh and make it tighter. This is a little bit too loose for me right now, so i'm getting ready to unhook it and i'm gon na slide it into one of the loops, that's closer to make. It tighter see how i hook that right in there yeah and please make sure you cut off your back lace that part that's sticking up, because some people forget to cut it off and then you get to swing in your hair. And now you got this brown lace poking out the back of your head, i'm only speaking from experience, because i did that before so um moving right along putting on the wig - and i like i like so just adjusting it - making sure that the pig is centered Correctly on my head, i'm going to pull it back into a ponytail and start spraying it down. Now i don't want to glue it down. This is more like a beginner's method. I don't. I will glue my wigs down, but i'm telling y'all i like to get in the shower and and wet my whole face, and i like to be able to take this wig off. I don't know it's just woo, so i'm gon na be doing the method that i use just to hold it down and secure it for the night. So now i'm going to proceed to cutting the tabs around the ears. Um me, i'm so scary, because i have cut too much before thinking that i had it just right, so i cut little bitty slithers at a time and i measured to make sure - and i see i need to cut a little bit more so now, i'm going To cut another little bitty slither just so, i won't go overboard and cut too much because i've done that before and my real edges and ball cap was showing so okay. Now i have these edges tied down. I want to check out the hair and see if there's anything i have to do to it. Um i didn't curl it. I didn't. Do anything, that's good! How it looks is straight out the pack all i did to alter it was put on makeup, put makeup on the lace. That'S it that's all. I did that's all. I think i have to do so after playing around with it for a little bit trying to figure out. Do i want the side part or do i want it all going back up into a half of half down? I decided i want the center part, so i'm gon na get the pressing comb and flatten everything out so that it'll be centered, so my parting is looking a little bit dark. So i'm just going to add this la girl pro concealer. I like that it has a little fine tip brush, so i can go ahead and mark that part and make it a little bit brighter. I left this band on for about 20 minutes or so so now, i'm gon na go in with the pressing comb and straighten everything out, see where i have a little white spot right there from the guy to be glue spray. I don't pay that no attention! It'S all good, you just take a little bit more spray and that'll help make it disappear. You just rub it in okay. The final steps to securing this baby is cutting the lace and i'm gon na add some baby hair, because i'm feeling real baby hairy not too much, though, like i don't really like baby hair coming in front of my forehead, i just like them on the sides. That'S it! That'S all. I need like teenage hair, not baby teenage hair, so i'm gon na be honest. It took me about 20 minutes to get the baby hairs together, because you see where it's kind of lifting right there i had to put on some more spray and i had to bump it, and i had to spray it. I had to brush it and i had to bump it and spray it and brush it. Oh, my god! No wonder! No wonder! Okay, no wonder just next time it's going straight to the back. Okay, so all the hard part is done now, i'm brushing it remember. I didn't curl it. This is how it came in the box. I didn't bleach the knots i didn't do anything. This looks pretty good like it looks pretty good. I know i need to tweak it a little bit more there's a couple of dents in it that i probably need to straighten out, but just kind of in the top right there all right now, i'm going to go in with a little bit more powder. So i can blend this lace to my skin complexion to perfection. I'M not gon na lie, i'm feeling these highlights color, 4 and 27. I'M really feeling this color on me. This color looks really good. In my opinion, i see that it just kind of looks blast. So i'm going to cut some layers in the front to frame my face a little bit more and give the curls a little bit more pop. So let's see how this goes all right. I think it gave a little bit more volume in the front, see the difference. It'S like flat on the left side, more volume on the right. So let me go ahead and match that energy, real, quick and cut the other side, so both sides can give me that body, ah the left side's just not giving me the right side. It'S just not look at that on the right, okay poof, but on the left side it's just really limp. Let me try this again. Okay, look at that! That'S how it makes me happy. This side is like once it gets to the end. It'S like. I don't know the more i played with it, the better it started to look so here we go. I'M just going to add a little bit of my total perfection. Beads wax to the top, so i can get rid of the flyaways and lay everything down like so see. I didn't use a lot just to smudge it just a little it a little bit.
